Engel­harts­tet­ten je obec Dol­né­ho Rakús­ka, neďa­le­ko od Bra­ti­sla­vy (Wiki­pe­dia). Leží v naj­niž­šie polo­že­nom mies­te Morav­ské­ho poľa. Naprieč ním pre­te­ka­jú poto­ky Rußbach a Stemp­fel­bach (Wiki­pe­dia CZ). Slo­ven­ský názov je Potur­no. Žije tu 1909 oby­va­te­ľov. Leží v nad­mor­skej výš­ke 143 met­rov nad morom. Nachá­dza­jú sa tu zám­ky Hof a Nie­der­we­i­den. S Bra­ti­sla­vou ju spá­ja Cyk­lo­most Slo­bo­dy (Wiki­pe­dia). Delí sa na via­ce­ro kata­strál­nych úze­mí: Engel­harts­tet­ten, Gro­ißenb­runn, Loimers­dorf, Mar­kt­hof, Stop­fen­re­uth. V obci Engel­harts­tet­ten je via­ce­ro koló­nií Char­vá­tov. V kata­strál­nom úze­mí Loimers­dorf žila ešte v polo­vi­ci 20. sto­ro­čia sil­ná sku­pi­na oby­va­te­ľov chor­vát­ské­ho pôvo­du. Aj dnes sú bež­né chor­vát­ske priez­vis­ká (Wiki­pe­dia CZ).

Engel­harts­tet­ten pat­rí do okre­su Gän­sern­dorf. Obec leží blíz­ko hra­níc s Maďar­skom a Slovenskom.

Engel­harts­tet­ten is a muni­ci­pa­li­ty in Lower Aus­tria, near Bra­ti­sla­va (Wiki­pe­dia). It is situ­ated in the lowest part of the Mora­vian Field. The stre­ams Rußbach and Stemp­fel­bach run through it (Wiki­pe­dia CZ). The Slo­vak name for the vil­la­ge is Potur­no. It has a popu­la­ti­on of 1,909 resi­dents and is loca­ted at an ele­va­ti­on of 143 meters abo­ve sea level. The cast­les Hof and Nie­der­we­i­den are situ­ated in the area. The Cyc­le Brid­ge of Fre­e­dom con­nects Engel­harts­tet­ten with Bra­ti­sla­va (Wiki­pe­dia). The muni­ci­pa­li­ty is divi­ded into seve­ral cadas­tral ter­ri­to­ries: Engel­harts­tet­ten, Gro­ißenb­runn, Loimers­dorf, Mar­kt­hof, Stop­fen­re­uth. In the vil­la­ge of Engel­harts­tet­ten, the­re are seve­ral colo­nies of Char­vát (Cro­atian) fami­lies. In the cadas­tral ter­ri­to­ry of Loimers­dorf, the­re was a strong group of resi­dents of Cro­atian ori­gin in the mid-​20th cen­tu­ry. Even today, Cro­atian sur­na­mes are com­mon (Wiki­pe­dia CZ).

Engel­harts­tet­ten belo­ngs to the dis­trict of Gän­sern­dorf. The vil­la­ge is situ­ated near the bor­ders with Hun­ga­ry and Slovakia.

Die Geme­in­de ist in meh­re­re Kata­stral­ge­me­in­den unter­te­ilt: Engel­harts­tet­ten, Gro­ißenb­runn, Loimers­dorf, Mar­kt­hof, Stop­fen­re­uth. Im Dorf Engel­harts­tet­ten gibt es meh­re­re Kolo­nien kro­atis­cher Fami­lien mit dem Nach­na­men Char­vát. Im Kata­stral­ge­biet Loimers­dorf gab es Mit­te des 20. Jahr­hun­derts eine star­ke Grup­pe von Bewoh­nern kro­atis­cher Her­kunft. Auch heute sind kro­atis­che Nach­na­men üblich (Wiki­pe­dia CZ).

Engel­harts­tet­ten gehört zum Bez­irk Gän­sern­dorf. Das Dorf liegt in der Nähe der Gren­zen zu Ungarn und der Slowakei.

Jele­nie jamy sa nachá­dza­jú v Považ­skom Inov­ci. Voľa­ke­dy tu bola vraj aj ško­la. Pomer­ne nedáv­no som tu videl slneč­né kolek­to­ry a poľov­ní­kov a nové plo­ty ako nové aktivity. 

Na Jele­nie Jamy vied­la kedy­si úzko­ko­ľaj­ná želez­nič­ka o dĺž­ke 12 kilo­met­rov z Mora­van nad Váhom. Posta­ve­ná bola v roku 1900 a slú­ži­la na dopra­vu ľudí a dre­va. Kon­ské záp­ra­hy vytiah­li želez­nič­né vozí­ky na mies­to urče­nia, tam ich les­ní robot­ní­ci nalo­ži­li dre­vom, kto­ré k želez­nič­ke pri­bli­žo­va­li kon­ské a vol­ské záp­ra­hy a samos­pá­dom, za pomo­ci brz­dá­ra, spúš­ťa­li do mora­van­ské­ho depa (lesy​.sk).

Jele­nie Jamy are loca­ted in Považ­ský Ino­vec. The­re was repor­ted­ly a scho­ol here once. Quite recen­tly, I saw solar col­lec­tors, signs of hun­ters, and new fen­ces, indi­ca­ting new activities.

A narrow-​gauge rai­lway once led to Jele­nie Jamy from Mora­van nad Váhom. Built in 1900, it ser­ved to tran­s­port peop­le and wood. Horse-​drawn wagons pul­led the rai­lway cars to the­ir des­ti­na­ti­on, whe­re fores­try wor­kers loaded them with wood. The wagons were then brought back to the Mora­van depot by hor­se and ox teams and a bra­ke ope­ra­tor using a self-​acting inc­li­ne (lesy​.sk).

Sil­ves­ter sa v Pieš­ťa­noch, čo si ja pamä­tám zvy­čaj­ne osla­vo­val aj ​“ofi­ciál­nym – veľ­kým” ohňos­tro­jom. Naj­mä v minu­los­ti sa odpa­ľo­val naj­mä z bre­hov Váhu, zhru­ba v úrov­ni kúpa­lis­ka EVA. Pre­to väč­ši­na divá­kov sa naň poze­ra­la z Kolo­nád­ne­ho mos­tu. Malo to svo­je čaro, aj ohni­vé efek­ty nad vodou boli v takom­to pro­stre­dí kraj­šie. V roku 2010 sa ohňos­troj odpa­ľo­val zo stre­chy Aupar­ku, v uzav­re­tej zástav­be. Čo bolo dosť nešťast­né roz­hod­nu­tie. Výhľad naň bol naozaj obme­dze­ný a jeho poten­ciál sa razom zní­žil. Men­šie ohňos­tro­je pre­bie­ha­li aj v roku 2010 a aj v minu­los­ti na rôz­nych mies­tach po celom meste.

In Pieš­ťa­ny, as far as I remem­ber, New Yea­r’s Eve was usu­al­ly celeb­ra­ted with an ​“offi­cial – grand” fire­works disp­lay. Espe­cial­ly in the past, it was laun­ched main­ly from the banks of the Váh River, rough­ly at the level of the EVA Spa. The­re­fo­re, most spec­ta­tors wat­ched it from the Colon­na­de Brid­ge. It had its charm, and the fie­ry effects over the water were more beau­ti­ful in such an envi­ron­ment. In 2010, the fire­works were laun­ched from the roof of Aupark, in a clo­sed urban area. It was a rat­her unfor­tu­na­te deci­si­on. The view was sig­ni­fi­can­tly limi­ted, and its poten­tial was sud­den­ly redu­ced. Smal­ler fire­works disp­la­ys also took pla­ce in 2010 and in the past at vari­ous loca­ti­ons throug­hout the city.

Sokoliarky dvor Astur na hrade Červený Kameň

Na hra­de Čer­ve­ný kameň sa nachá­dza soko­liar­sky dvor s pek­nou kolek­ci­ou drav­cov. Kona­jú sa tam aj pra­vi­del­né vystú­pe­nia s nimi. Pri mojej náv­šte­ve som tam videl vtá­ky, kto­ré boli náj­de­né zjav­ne zra­ne­né a nie­kto ich donie­sol, aby sa prá­ve tu o ne posta­ra­li – reha­bi­li­tá­cia dravcov.

At Čer­ve­ný kameň Cast­le, the­re is a fal­con­ry court with a beau­ti­ful col­lec­ti­on of birds of prey. Regu­lar per­for­man­ces with the­se birds take pla­ce the­re. During my visit, I saw birds that were evi­den­tly found inju­red, and some­one brought them the­re for care — reha­bi­li­ta­ti­on of birds of prey.

Vtáčie búdky v Piešťanskom parku a ich návštevníci

V par­ku v Pieš­ťa­noch sa nachá­dza, v jeho cen­trál­nej čas­ti, množ­stvo búdiek, kam cho­dí celé roky pri­kr­mo­vať vtá­ky pán Karol Fano. Už od roku 1970. Nie raz som ho tam stre­tol. Cho­dí pra­vi­del­ne v rov­na­kú hodi­nu, vtá­ky si naň­ho už urči­te zvyk­li. Iste aj vďa­ka tomu to je vďač­né mies­to pre foto­gra­fa.

Za sle­do­va­né obdo­bie celé­ho roka kŕmid­lo nav­ští­vi­lo 28 dru­hov vtá­kov. Pre­dov­šet­kým sýkor­ka veľ­ká a vra­bec poľ­ný. Veľ­mi čas­tý­mi náv­štev­ník­mi je brhlík oby­čaj­ný, ďateľ veľ­ký a ďateľ pro­stred­ný. Čas­to sa obja­ví drozd čier­ny, hrd­lič­ka záh­rad­ná a sýkor­ka bela­sá. Občas pri­le­tí sýkor­ka mly­nár­ka, sýkor­ka uhliar­ka, sýkor­ka hôr­na, sýkor­ka choch­la­tá, zelien­ka oby­čaj­ná, kaná­rik poľ­ný, pin­ka oby­čaj­ná. Zried­ka­vo vra­bec domo­vý, hav­ran, kav­ka, vra­na popo­la­vá, soj­ka, ško­rec, kači­ca divá. V zime čer­vien­ka oby­čaj­ná, glezg oby­čaj­ný, čížik oby­čaj­ný, pin­ka sever­ská, kôrov­ník dlho­prs­tý. Občas ulo­ví na kŕmid­le neja­ké­ho vtá­ka aj jas­trab kra­hu­lec (Kaňuš­čák, 2012).

In the park in Pieš­ťa­ny, in its cen­tral part, the­re are nume­rous bird fee­ders whe­re Mr. Karol Fano has been fee­ding birds for many years, sin­ce 1970. I have encoun­te­red him the­re more than once. He con­sis­ten­tly visits at the same hour, and the birds have sure­ly gro­wn accus­to­med to him. Cer­tain­ly, this has made it a gra­te­ful spot for photographers.

Throug­hout the obser­ved peri­od of the who­le year, 28 spe­cies of birds have visi­ted the fee­der. Par­ti­cu­lar­ly com­mon visi­tors inc­lu­de the gre­at tit and the hou­se spar­row. Other fre­qu­ent visi­tors are the gre­at spot­ted wood­pec­ker, the gre­a­ter spot­ted wood­pec­ker, and the midd­le spot­ted wood­pec­ker. The black­bird, the com­mon wood pige­on, and the Eura­sian blue tit are also seen fre­qu­en­tly. Occa­si­onal­ly, the cres­ted tit, the coal tit, the marsh tit, the wil­low tit, the gre­en­finch, the com­mon lin­net, and the com­mon chaf­finch make an appe­a­ran­ce. More rare­ly obser­ved are the hou­se spar­row, the car­ri­on crow, the jack­daw, the hooded crow, the mag­pie, the jay, the gre­at grey shri­ke, and the mal­lard. In win­ter, the com­mon red­poll, the Eura­sian sis­kin, the com­mon chaf­finch, the nort­hern bull­finch, and the long-​tailed tit are added to the mix. Occa­si­onal­ly, a spar­ro­wha­wk cap­tu­res a bird at the fee­der (Kaňuš­čák, 2012).
