Stromy

Hits: 4427

Stromy, s ich výraznými kmeňmi a rozvetvenými korunami, tvoria obdivuhodné diela prírody a sú základnými stavebnými kameňmi ekosystémov po celom svete. Tieto živé organizmy sú neuveriteľne účinné, odolné a vytrvalé. Stromy čelia rôznym hrozbám, vrátane odlesňovania, klimatických zmien a chorôb. Odlesňovanie znižuje biodiverzitu a zvyšuje množstvo oxidu uhličitého v atmosfére.

Fotografie stromov majú schopnosť zachytiť nádheru a pôsobivosť prírody v jedinom snímku.

Ich výrazné črty môžu vyprávať príbehy o histórii a živote v ich okolí. Kombinácia techniky, kreativity a vnímania krásy v každom jednotlivom strome môže viesť k tvorbe úžasných a dojemných fotografií.

Trees, with their distinctive trunks and branching crowns, stand as remarkable masterpieces of nature and serve as fundamental building blocks of ecosystems worldwide. These living organisms are incredibly efficient, resilient, and enduring. However, trees face various threats, including deforestation, climate change, and diseases. Deforestation reduces biodiversity and increases the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Climate changes may lead to the spread of diseases and unwanted species that can harm trees. Protecting trees involves maintaining their natural habitats, sustainable timber harvesting, and supporting research to address diseases and pests. Trees represent a key element of nature; their conservation and sustainable management are essential not only for their preservation but also for humanity.

Trees have a complex structure that enables them to thrive in various conditions. Their basic parts include roots, trunk, branches, leaves, and fruits. Roots anchor the tree in the soil and absorb nutrients, while the trunk provides support and houses the transport system for water and nutrients. Branches and leaves facilitate photosynthesis, the process by which trees use sunlight to produce energy and generate oxygen. Fruits contain seeds used for reproduction. Trees form extensive ecosystems that provide shelter and food for numerous organisms. Their trunks and branches serve as habitats for birds, insects, and other creatures. Trees help maintain soil quality and create a microclimate in their surroundings. Their significance in ecosystems also lies in capturing and storing carbon dioxide. Trees have economic importance, providing wood used in various industries, from construction to furniture production. Additionally, they supply raw materials for the paper industry, and many plants and medicinal compounds come from trees, contributing to cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications.

Photographing trees allows for the capture of the beauty and grandeur of nature in a single frame. Each tree, with its unique shape and character, offers photographers endless creative possibilities. The photographic interpretation of trees can showcase their majesty, resilience, and relationship with the environment. Composition and perspective play a crucial role in tree photography. Creating contrasts between trees and other elements of nature, such as mountains, lakes, or the sky, can add drama to the photograph. Experimenting with different angles, including low shots or capturing multiple branches, can yield unusual and captivating results. Light is a key factor in tree photography. Early morning or evening hours can create warm and soft lights that highlight the texture of the bark and the colors of the leaves. Contrastive light creates shadow play, adding drama to the image. Shots with striking sunlight rays or reflections can provide a beautiful and impactful effect. Fog can separate spaces and make even something as large as a tree stand out.

Tree photography sometimes captures not only the trees themselves but also the diversity of their surroundings. Including various plant species, flowers, or natural elements in the composition can add another dimension and color contrast. Likewise, capturing birds, insects, or other wildlife associated with tree life enhances the richness of the photograph. Many tree species stand out for their uniqueness and interest. Bonsai, sequoias, or ancient trees with distinctive shapes and age can be excellent subjects. Their remarkable features can tell stories about history and life in their environment. The combination of technique, creativity, and appreciation of beauty in each individual tree can lead to the creation of fascinating and poignant photographs.

Rieka Morava

Hits: 3269

Niva rieky Morava je vzácne územie, patrí medzi najzaujímavejšie lokality v Strednej Európe, niva Moravy patrí medzi významné vtáčie územia Bird Life International.

The Morava River floodplain is a rare territory, counted among the most interesting locations in Central Europe. The Morava floodplain is recognized as a significant bird area by Bird Life International. It is easily accessible from the town of Stupava. The area is traversed by cycling routes that showcase, among other things, the riparian forests that once dominated this landscape (stupava.sk). The river flows through the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Austria. Its German name is March. It originates in the Northern Moravia on the southern slope of Králický Sněžník at an altitude of 1380 meters above sea level. It flows into the Danube River directly beneath Devín Castle. The river covers a distance of 329 km (Wikipedia).

The name of the river is one of the oldest Old European hydronyms, predating even the Celts, with its original meaning as water or swamp. The historical region of Moravia also derives its name from the river. The highest flow occurs in spring. In summer, the water level decreases, rising again in autumn (Wikipedia). The river is used for irrigation and hydroelectric power generation. In 1997, the river experienced floods caused by abnormal precipitation in the Jeseníky Mountains. These floods claimed 49 lives, with over 250 villages evacuated, and the damages exceeded 63 billion CZK (Wikipedia CZ).

Hits: 1996

Požiare v rokoch 1907, 19211945 zničili vzácne zrubové stavby, zmenili celkový vzhľad obce a spôsobili ústup výstavby tradičných dreveníc v prospech murovaných domov.

Čičmany is a folklore site characterized by ancient costumes, painted wooden houses, and distinctive folk expression. It is located in the Čičmanska kotlina below the Strážovec peak, near the source of the Rajčianka River. The origin of the village is surrounded by various theories, which mention German, Bulgarian, and Romanian origins. However, Čičmany was likely settled based on Wallachian law. The first written mention dates back to 1272 (obeccicmany.sk). Historical names include Cziczman, Chychman, Chichman, Cžicžmany, Csicsmán, Csicsmány. In 1598, there were 43 houses, and in 1784, 126 houses and 1275 inhabitants (e‑obce.sk).

In 1977, the lower part of the village was declared a cultural reserve of folk architecture. Local folk costumes feature embroidery with geometric ornamentation. The area covers 25.61 km², with 129 inhabitants. The village is located at an altitude of 655 meters above sea level. In the past, the residents of Čičmany were engaged in agriculture, sheep farming, selling bryndza cheese, and making slippers. The name of the village has an Indo-European origin, which passed into Old Slovene and means settlement in the mountains – Vrchovany.” Fires in 1907, 1921, and 1945 destroyed valuable log buildings, changed the overall appearance of the village, and led to a decline in the construction of traditional wooden houses in favor of brick ones. The architecture of Čičmany resembles gingerbread houses to this day, mainly due to the geometric ornamental decoration on the outer walls of houses, which began to be used about 200 years ago. Local folk clothing is made of white canvas. A significant part of the value and popularity of the Čičmany costume is the embroidery, which stands out for its technical perfection, richness of motifs, and ornamental and color composition. The Balkan origin of Čičmany is assumed from the character of the ornamental decoration and the red woolen woven belt, which is part of the women’s costume. The ancient character preserved by the Čičmany costume to this day, as well as the folk costumes of surrounding villages (Zliechov, Čavoj, Valaská Belá), served ethnographers as a model for the reconstruction of Old Slavic clothing (Wikipedia).

Folk architecture in Čičmany has attracted public interest since the late 19th century. Architect Dušan Jurkovič initiated the presentation of the Čičmany two-story house at the Ethnographic Exhibition of Czechoslovakia in Prague in 1985. The external wall decoration attracted particular interest. Simple geometric patterns were painted with white lime on the dark background of the house wall. By the 19th century, painting had already evolved to decorate parts around windows, doors, lower beams, and decoration focused around structural elements. A competition for the most beautifully painted house led to a return to traditional exterior ornamental decoration after several fires and constructions. The decoration was enriched with new elements borrowed from Čičmany embroidery (Information board).

Kriváň

Hits: 3728

Vedú naň dve trasy, z Troch Studničiek a z Jamského plesa.

About Kriváň, even folk songs are sung. From this perspective, it is historically the most famous peak in the High Tatras. I dare say that only Kráľova hoľa is a hill beside Kriváň, which is a symbol of Slovakia. It rises to an altitude of 2494.7 meters (Wikipedia). There are two routes leading to it, from Troch Studničiek and from Jamské pleso. According to legend, Kriváň was bent due to a celestial traffic accident. An angel sent by God on the seventh day of the creation of the world collided with the mountain, causing it to lean, while trying to spread the bag of natural beauty across the world. The bag tore open, resulting in more natural beauty being scattered across the Tatras than any other corner of the world (spravnavec.sk). Mining activities were carried out on the southern and southwestern slopes between the 15th and 18th centuries (zoznam.sk). Since 1861, a tradition of national ascents to Kriváň has been established (spravnavec.sk).

Nachádza sa tu zrúcanina hradu Devín, gotický kostol svätého Kríža – Panny Márie z druhej polovice 13. storočia a pomník padlým hrdinom I. a II. svetovej vojny (Wikipedia).

V 16. storočí bolo významným trhovým miestom, existovali tu viaceré cechy: lodníkov, rybárov, hrnčiarov, obuvníkov a vinohradníkov. Prekvitalo pestovanie ovocia a zeleniny.

Devín is located at the confluence of the Morava and Danube rivers at an altitude of 158 meters above sea level. With an area of 13.98 km², it is home to 1382 inhabitants. The Hungarian name for Devín is Dévény, and the German name is Theben. Here, you can find the ruins of Devín Castle, the Gothic Church of the Holy Cross – Virgin Mary from the second half of the 13th century, and a monument to the fallen heroes of World War I and II (Wikipedia).

The oldest settlement in Devín dates back to the Neolithic period – the arrival of Neolithic farmers 5,0003,500 years BC. The most significant discovery from the early Iron Age is likely the finding of a grain pit containing originally stored einkorn wheat – Triticum dicoccum. The territory was associated with the Celts during the late Iron Age. From the 1st to the 4th century, the area was part of the Roman defensive system, the Limes Romanus, as one of the outposts of the Roman Carnuntum (sazp.sk). At the end of the 1st century BC, Roman traders also settled here. Roman coins were found here (Richard Miške). In the 1st century, the Romans built a guard station here, inhabited by a legion from Carnuntum. After its abandonment in the 4th century, Slavs settled in the area (Goláň et al.). Ancient Germanic urn graves were also found here (sazp.sk). An ancient loaf of bread was found, likely of wheat and rye (hradiska.sk). The earliest written mention of Devín dates back to a document from 1237 under the name Villa Thebyn. The town was subject to Devín Castle. In 1568, it gained independence and privileges from Emperor Maximilian. In the 16th century, it was a significant market town with various guilds: boatmen, fishermen, potters, shoemakers, and winemakers. The cultivation of fruits and vegetables flourished. In 1829, the Danube Steam Navigation Company was founded. Devín significantly benefited from Lafranconi’s quarry from 1870 to 1890, which supplied stone for the regulation of the Danube. Vineyards have been mentioned in the Devín area since 1254, but Devín is known for its currant wine, production of which began in 1922 by Alois Sonntag. Until the end of World War II, Germans, Hungarians, Slovaks, Jews, and Croats lived here. Devín has been part of Bratislava since 1946 (devin.sk).

Dévény a Morava és a Duna folyók összefolyásánál fekszik, 158 méteres tengerszint feletti magasságban. Területe 13,98 km², és 1382 lakosa van. A Dévény magyar neve Dévény, a német neve pedig Theben. Itt található a Dévényi várnak a romja, a Szent Kereszt – Szűz Mária gótikus templom a 13. század második feléből és egy emlékmű az I. és II. világháborúban elesetteknek (Wikipédia).

Dévény legrégebbi települése a neolitikumból származik – a neolitikus földművesek érkezése 5.0003.500 évvel ezelőtt. Kr. U. végén római kereskedők is letelepedtek itt. Itt is találtak ógermán urnatemetőket (sazp.sk). Az ókorban találtak egy kenyérféléket. Valószínűleg búzából és rozsból készült (hradiska.sk). A Dévény legrégebbi írásos említése egy 1237-es okiratból származik a Villa Thebyn néven. A város a Dévényi várhoz tartozott. 1568-ban kapott függetlenséget és kiváltságokat I. Maximilián császártól. A 16. században jelentős piaci város volt különböző céhekkel: hajóskapitányok, halászok, fazekasok, cipészek és borászok. Gyümölcs- és zöldségtermesztése virágzott. 1829-ben alapították a Dunai Gőzhajózási Társaságot.
