Kaž­dý rok sa mes­to Bra­ti­sla­va pri­pra­vu­je na posled­ný deň v roku – Sil­ves­ter. V posled­nom obdo­bí je vyvr­cho­le­ním osláv ohňos­troj nad Duna­jom. Ulič­ky v cen­tre sú večer na Sil­ves­tra plné ľudí. Oby­va­te­lia zvyk­nú variť kapustnicu.

Each year, the city of Bra­ti­sla­va pre­pa­res for the last day of the year – New Yea­r’s Eve, also kno­wn as Sil­ves­ter. In recent times, the cul­mi­na­ti­on of the celeb­ra­ti­ons is the fire­works disp­lay over the Danu­be. The stre­ets in the city cen­ter are fil­led with peop­le on New Yea­r’s Eve. It is a tra­di­ti­on for resi­dents to cook sau­erk­raut soup for the occasion.

V posled­ných rokoch sa letec­ké dni kona­jú na Slia­či.

Rok 2009

13.6 – 14.6.2009 sa kona­li Národ­né letec­ké dni opäť v Pieš­ťa­noch. Ten­to­raz som sa ho zúčast­nil koneč­ne tak­mer od začiat­ku prog­ra­mu v sobo­tu. Ško­da, že začia­tok bol zúfa­lý. Veľ­ké množ­stvo ľudí čaka­lo pri­dl­ho na lís­t­ky, to orga­ni­zá­to­ri nez­vlád­li. Ja som si odstál asi 20 minút a to som bol asi 20 met­rov od lavi­ce, kde bol pre­daj lís­tkov. Za mnou bola hal­da. Nevši­mol som si, žeby orga­ni­zá­to­rov tla­či­la nie­kde topán­ka, skôr som mal pocit, že im to bolo fuk.

Year 2009

On June 13 – 14, 2009, the Nati­onal Air Days were held again in Pieš­ťa­ny. This time, I final­ly atten­ded it almost from the begin­ning of the prog­ram on Satur­day. It’s a pity that the start was des­pe­ra­te. A lar­ge num­ber of peop­le wai­ted too long for tic­kets, which the orga­ni­zers could­n’t hand­le. I sto­od in line for about 20 minu­tes, and I was about 20 meters from the tic­ket coun­ter. The­re was a heap behind me. I did­n’t noti­ce that the orga­ni­zers were under pre­ssu­re any­whe­re; rat­her, I felt like they did­n’t care.

14. – 15.6.2008 sa kona­li Národ­né letec­ké dni v Pieš­ťa­noch pod náz­vom ​“Dni národ­nej hrdos­ti”. Ich prvý roč­ník sa konal 16. – 17.6.2007. Foto­gra­fie z oboch podu­ja­tí náj­de­te nižšie.

Sil­ves­ter sa v Pieš­ťa­noch, čo si ja pamä­tám zvy­čaj­ne osla­vo­val aj ​“ofi­ciál­nym – veľ­kým” ohňos­tro­jom. Naj­mä v minu­los­ti sa odpa­ľo­val naj­mä z bre­hov Váhu, zhru­ba v úrov­ni kúpa­lis­ka EVA. Pre­to väč­ši­na divá­kov sa naň poze­ra­la z Kolo­nád­ne­ho mos­tu. Malo to svo­je čaro, aj ohni­vé efek­ty nad vodou boli v takom­to pro­stre­dí kraj­šie. V roku 2010 sa ohňos­troj odpa­ľo­val zo stre­chy Aupar­ku, v uzav­re­tej zástav­be. Čo bolo dosť nešťast­né roz­hod­nu­tie. Výhľad naň bol naozaj obme­dze­ný a jeho poten­ciál sa razom zní­žil. Men­šie ohňos­tro­je pre­bie­ha­li aj v roku 2010 a aj v minu­los­ti na rôz­nych mies­tach po celom meste.

In Pieš­ťa­ny, as far as I remem­ber, New Yea­r’s Eve was usu­al­ly celeb­ra­ted with an ​“offi­cial – grand” fire­works disp­lay. Espe­cial­ly in the past, it was laun­ched main­ly from the banks of the Váh River, rough­ly at the level of the EVA Spa. The­re­fo­re, most spec­ta­tors wat­ched it from the Colon­na­de Brid­ge. It had its charm, and the fie­ry effects over the water were more beau­ti­ful in such an envi­ron­ment. In 2010, the fire­works were laun­ched from the roof of Aupark, in a clo­sed urban area. It was a rat­her unfor­tu­na­te deci­si­on. The view was sig­ni­fi­can­tly limi­ted, and its poten­tial was sud­den­ly redu­ced. Smal­ler fire­works disp­la­ys also took pla­ce in 2010 and in the past at vari­ous loca­ti­ons throug­hout the city.

INVEX – DIGITEX 2008, Výsta­viš­tě Brno 6. – 9.10.2008

V roku 2008 som na INVEX‑e dlho nepo­bu­dol. Boli tam pek­né veci, ale môj záu­jem o ne nebol prí­liš veľ­ký. Nesťa­žu­jem si, napo­kon som to čakal. Ak by ma však zau­ja­lo viac vecí, pote­ši­lo by ma to. Chys­tal som sa naj­mä do ​“foto­pa­vi­ló­nu” a prek­va­pi­lo ma množ­stvo fór a ​“foto­kur­zov”. Čakal som v ove­ľa väč­šom množ­stve expo­zí­cie veľ­kých firiem ako Canon, Nikon, Pen­tax, Sony. Toho som sa nedoč­kal ani v oblas­ti výpoč­to­vej tech­ni­ky, ani v elek­tro­ni­ke. Invex mi pri­šiel ako regi­onál­ny veľ­trh pre men­ších pod­ni­ka­te­ľov, čo si mys­lím, je škoda.

In 2008, I did­n’t spend much time at INVEX. The­re were nice things, but my inte­rest in them was­n’t too gre­at. I’m not com­plai­ning; after all, I expec­ted that. Howe­ver, if more things had caught my inte­rest, it would have ple­a­sed me. I was espe­cial­ly hea­ding to the ​“pho­to pavi­li­on,” and I was sur­pri­sed by the abun­dan­ce of forums and ​“pho­to cour­ses.” I expec­ted a much lar­ger pre­sen­ce from major com­pa­nies like Canon, Nikon, Pen­tax, and Sony. I did­n’t find that, neit­her in the field of com­pu­ting tech­no­lo­gy nor in elect­ro­nics. INVEX see­med to me more like a regi­onal tra­de fair for smal­ler busi­nes­ses, which I think is a pity.

INVEX – DIGITEX 2006, Výsta­viš­tě Brno 9. – 13.10.2006

Výsta­vu som nav­ští­vil spo­lu s moji­mi kole­ga­mi z prá­ce v jeden októb­ro­vý deň. Na Inve­xe sa mi páči­lo a urči­te by som rád pri­šiel zno­vu. Upú­tal ma pavi­lón, kde boli tele­ví­zie, novi­ny a roz­hlas a medzi iný­mi aj Čes­ký roz­hlas. Vo Foto­aré­ne sme mali mož­nosť náv­štev­ní­ci veľ­tr­hu vidieť a pou­žiť pro­fe­si­onál­ne zaria­de­né štú­dio, moh­li si vyfo­tiť model­ky a vypo­čuť si aj neja­ký výklad. Model­ky pózo­va­li samé, ale aj vo dvo­j­iciach. Jeden náv­štev­ník dostal ovlá­da­cí kus, kto­rým ovlá­dal bles­ky vo ​“foto­ate­li­é­ri”. V rám­ci výsta­vy sa kona­la v are­áli BVV aj veľ­mi pek­ná výsta­va foto­gra­fií. Videl som via­ce­rých auto­rov už ​“zabe­ha­ných”, ale aj nie­kto­ré sním­ky pochá­dza­li z časo­pi­su, do kto­ré­ho pris­pie­va­li skôr ama­tér­ski nad­šen­ci. Záu­jem o pozo­ro­va­nie maľo­va­nia na od pása nahé baby bol evi­dent­ný. Pani, kto­rá maľo­va­la poznám aj z podu­ja­tí v Piešťanoch.

I visi­ted the exhi­bi­ti­on with my col­le­a­gu­es from work on one Octo­ber day. I liked INVEX, and I would cer­tain­ly like to come again. I was dra­wn to the pavi­li­on whe­re tele­vi­si­ons, news­pa­pers, and radio were loca­ted, inc­lu­ding Czech Radio. In the Pho­to Are­na, visi­tors to the tra­de fair had the oppor­tu­ni­ty to see and use a pro­fes­si­onal­ly equ­ip­ped stu­dio, take pic­tu­res of models, and lis­ten to some expla­na­ti­ons. Models posed indi­vi­du­al­ly and in pairs. One visi­tor rece­i­ved a con­trol pie­ce to ope­ra­te the flas­hes in the ​“pho­to stu­dio.” As part of the exhi­bi­ti­on, a very nice pho­tog­rap­hy exhi­bi­ti­on took pla­ce in the BVV area. I saw seve­ral well-​established aut­hors, but some pic­tu­res came from a maga­zi­ne whe­re ama­te­ur ent­hu­siasts con­tri­bu­ted. The­re was evi­dent inte­rest in obser­ving the pain­ting of a naked woman from the waist up. I recog­ni­zed the lady who was pain­ting from events in Piešťany.

Zlaté stuhy – Concours d´elegance

Už neja­ký ten rok sa Pieš­ťa­noch koná podu­ja­tie nazva­né ​“Zla­té stu­hy”, ale­bo ​“Con­cours d´elegance”. V roku 2009 sa podu­ja­tie kona­lo 5.6 až 7.6.2009 (Peter Kac­lík). Podu­ja­tie sa v Pieš­ťa­noch kona­lo v 30-​tych rokoch 20. sto­ro­čia. V rokoch 1932 až 1937 sa koná­va­li súťa­že o najk­raj­ší auto­mo­bil. Tra­dí­cia bola obno­ve­ná po roku 1980 už ako pre­hliad­ka his­to­ric­kých vozi­diel (Eva Jan­či­no­vá). Prog­ram podu­ja­tia oby­čaj­ne pozos­tá­va z jaz­dy a samoz­rej­me s pre­hliad­kou auto­mo­bi­lov na Kúpeľ­nom ostro­ve (pies​tantv​.sk).

Con­cours d’E­le­gan­ce je sym­bo­lom, kto­rý zís­ka­va­jú auto­mo­bi­ly za ich ele­gan­ciu, krá­su a his­to­ric­kú hod­no­tu. Zame­ria­va sa na este­ti­ku, štýl a ori­gi­na­li­tu. Čas­to tie­to vete­rá­ny pred­sta­vu­jú vrchol auto­mo­bi­lo­vé­ho dizaj­nu a remesla.

For seve­ral years now, an event cal­led ​“Zla­té stu­hy” or ​“Con­cours d’e­le­gan­ce” has been taking pla­ce in Pieš­ťa­ny. In 2009, the event was held from June 5 to June 7, 2009 (Peter Kac­lík). Simi­lar events were held in Pieš­ťa­ny in the 1930s, with com­pe­ti­ti­ons for the most beau­ti­ful car taking pla­ce from 1932 to 1937. The tra­di­ti­on was revi­ved after 1980, now as a sho­wca­se of his­to­ri­cal vehic­les (Eva Jan­či­no­vá). The event prog­ram usu­al­ly inc­lu­des a dri­ve and, of cour­se, a disp­lay of cars on the Spa Island (pies​tantv​.sk).

Con­cours d’E­le­gan­ce is a sym­bol awar­ded to auto­mo­bi­les for the­ir ele­gan­ce, beau­ty, and his­to­ri­cal sig­ni­fi­can­ce. It focu­ses on aest­he­tics, sty­le, and ori­gi­na­li­ty. Often, the­se vin­ta­ge vehic­les repre­sent the pin­nac­le of auto­mo­ti­ve design and craftsmanship.

Depu­is que­lqu­es anné­es déjà, à Pieš­ťa­ny, se dérou­le un évé­ne­ment inti­tu­lé ​“Zla­té stu­hy” ou ​“Con­cours d’é­lé­gan­ce”. En 2009, l’é­vé­ne­ment a eu lieu du 5 au 7 juin 2009 (Peter Kac­lík). Les fes­ti­vi­tés ont une lon­gue his­to­ire à Pieš­ťa­ny, remon­tant aux anné­es 30 du XXe sièc­le, lor­sque des con­cours pour la plus bel­le auto­mo­bi­le étaient orga­ni­sés de 1932 à 1937. La tra­di­ti­on a été rétab­lie après 1980 en tant qu’e­xpo­si­ti­on de véhi­cu­les his­to­ri­qu­es (Eva Jan­či­no­vá). Le prog­ram­me de l’é­vé­ne­ment com­prend géné­ra­le­ment des défi­lés et bien sûr une expo­si­ti­on de voitu­res sur l’île des ther­mes (pies​tantv​.sk).

Con­cours d’É­lé­gan­ce est un sym­bo­le att­ri­bué aux auto­mo­bi­les pour leur élé­gan­ce, leur beau­té et leur impor­tan­ce his­to­ri­que. Il met l’ac­cent sur l’est­hé­ti­que, le sty­le et l’o­ri­gi­na­li­té. Sou­vent, ces véhi­cu­les anciens repré­sen­tent le sum­mum du design et du savoir-​faire automobile.
