Silvester v Bratislave

Každý rok sa mesto Bratislava pripravuje na posledný deň v roku – Silvester. V poslednom období je vyvrcholením osláv ohňostroj nad Dunajom. Uličky v centre sú večer na Silvestra plné ľudí. Obyvatelia zvyknú variť kapustnicu.

Dopoludnia sa beží cez bratislavské mosty (eventland.eu). Srdcom silvestrovských osláv býva každoročne Staré Mesto. Ľudia sa zhromažďujú už od večera. Zábava sa koná obyčajne na Hviezdoslavovom a Františkánskom námestí. Program začína tradične večer od 21-ej hodiny. Odpočítava sa aj Nový rok, vstup je voľný pre verejnosť (citylife.sk).. Súčasťou sú občerstvovacie stánky a trhy (bratislavaliving.sk). Nie vždy, ale zvyčajne je v programe aj silvestrovský ohňostroj. Po polnoci si ľudia pripíjajú šampanským (Wikipedia).

Every year, the city of Bratislava prepares for the last day of the year – New Year’s Eve. In recent years, the highlight of the celebrations has been a fireworks display over the Danube. On New Year’s Eve evening, the streets of the city center are filled with people. Residents traditionally cook kapustnica, a cabbage soup.

In the morning, a run across Bratislava’s bridges takes place (eventland.eu). The heart of the New Year’s Eve celebrations is traditionally the Old Town, where people begin gathering already in the evening. Festivities usually take place at Hviezdoslav Square and Františkánske Square. The program traditionally starts in the evening at 9:00 PM. The New Year is also counted down, and admission is free for the public (citylife.sk). Refreshment stalls and markets are part of the event as well (bratislavaliving.sk). Not every year, but usually, the program also includes a New Year’s Eve fireworks display. After midnight, people toast with champagne (Wikipedia).
