Každý rok sa Bratislava pripravuje posledný deň v roku – . V poslednom období je vyvrcholením osláv ohňostroj nad Dunajom. v centre sú večer na Silvestra plné ľudí. Obyvatelia zvyknú variť kapustnicu.

Dopoludnia sa beží cez (eventland.eu). Srdcom silvestrovských osláv býva každoročne Staré Mesto. sa zhromažďujú už od večera. sa koná obyčajne na Hviezdoslavovom a Františkánskom námestí.
