Každý rok sa mesto Bratislava pripravuje na posledný deň v roku – Silvester. V poslednom období je vyvrcholením osláv ohňostroj nad Dunajom. v centre sú večer na Silvestra plné ľudí. Obyvatelia zvyknú variť kapustnicu.

Dopoludnia sa beží cez bratislavské (eventland.eu). Srdcom silvestrovských osláv býva každoročne Staré Mesto. sa zhromažďujú už od večera. Zábava sa koná obyčajne na Hviezdoslavovom a Františkánskom námestí. Program začína tradične večer od 21-ej hodiny. Odpočítava sa aj Nový rok, vstup je voľný pre verejnosť (citylife.sk).. Súčasťou sú občerstvovacie stánky a (bratislavaliving.sk). Nie vždy, ale zvyčajne je v programe aj silvestrovský ohňostroj. Po polnoci si ľudia pripíjajú šampanským (Wikipedia).

Every year, the city of prepares for the last day of the year – New Year’s Eve. In recent years, the highlight of the celebrations has been a fireworks display over the Danube. On New Year’s Eve evening, the streets of the city center are filled with people. Residents traditionally cook kapustnica, a cabbage soup.

In the morning, a run across Bratislava’s bridges takes place (eventland.eu). The heart of the New Year’s Eve celebrations is traditionally the Old Town, where people begin gathering already in the evening. Festivities usually take place at Hviezdoslav Square and Františkánske Square. The program traditionally starts in the evening at 9:00 PM. The New Year is also counted down, and admission is free for the public (citylife.sk). Refreshment stalls and markets are part of the event as well (bratislavaliving.sk). Not every year, but usually, the program also includes a New Year’s Eve fireworks display. After midnight, people toast with champagne (Wikipedia).

Záleská divadelná púť

Prvý ročník sa konal v roku 2011, hlavným organizátorom je Občianske združenie Naše Zálesíčko (zaleskadivadelnaput.sk). Záleská divadelná púť je podujatie, na ktorom hrá prím , ale nájdete tu aj výtvarné , hudbu, literatúru, občerstvenie a snáď dobrú náladu. Cez deň prebiehal hlavný program pod veľkým stanom zameraný na detského diváka (rozprávky), večer bolo na programe divadlo a koncert pre starších a dospelých. V deň, ktorý som sa festivalu zúčastnil bola na programe ohňová šou a koncert Petra Lipu. Mne sa veľmi páčili nápady a aj ich realizácia. , kameň a iný prirodzenejšie pôsobiaci materiál a nie elektronika. Počúval som mnoho rozprávok popri fotografovaní. Vystupovali v nich profesionálne súbory, . Zmodernizované úpravy klasických rozprávok občas u mňa vyvolali úsmev, počudovanie a občas aj šok. Zrejme je to správna adaptácia. V známej „Soľ nad zlato“ zaznelo – „mám ťa rada ako Rytmusa„.

The first edition took place in 2011, and the main organizer is the Civic Association Naše Zálesíčko (zaleskadivadelnaput.sk). Záleská Divadelná Púť is an event that features primarily theater but also includes visual arts, music, literature, refreshments, and hopefully good vibes. During the day, the main program unfolded under a large tent, focusing on the young audience with fairy tales. In the evening, the program included theater and concerts for older audiences.

On the day I attended the festival, there was a fire show and a concert by Peter Lipa. I was impressed by the ideas and their execution. Wood, stone, and other naturally occurring materials took precedence over electronics. I listened to many fairy tales while taking photographs. Professional ensembles and theaters performed them. The modernized adaptations of classic fairy tales occasionally brought a smile, admiration, and sometimes even shock. It seems to be the right kind of adaptation. In the well-known „Soľ nad zlato“ performance, the line „I love you like Rytmus“ was heard.

Sheraton Beh čašníkov

25.3.2011 sa konal v súvislosti s ČSOB Marathonom beh čašníkov. V Bratislave, pred Euroveou. Bolo to výrazne viac o zábave ako o športe a bolo to na môj vkus trochu bez šťavy. Predovšetkým účastníkov bolo málo a ich prístup bol zväčša čisto amatérsky. Výzvy moderátora do okolitých reštaurácií na účasť a verbovanie medzi divákmi tesne pred štartom podujatia boli pre mňa silná káva. Prístup „oficiálnych“ fotografov, ktorí sa cpali, aby nafotili asi nejaké unikátne sú tiež mimo môjho vkusu, navyše ich bolo ako hadov. Navyše viacnásobné pokrikovanie Slava Jurka ako moderátora na súťažiaceho, že mu padajú gate mi prišlo úbohé. Ktovie, pre niekoho je to asi veľká prča.

Pre účastníkov bola pripravená prekážková trať, s tým, že sa súťažilo v pároch. Pripravil sa miešaný nápoj a s ním bolo treba prejsť prekážky a potom nájsť niekoho ďalšieho, aby pripravený nápoj vypil. Vypitie bol trochu chuťový problém, pretože veľká snaha a tlak zapríčinil, že nápoje boli trochu príkre :-). Každopádne niečo som nafotil a som s tým celkom spokojný.

On the 25th of March 2011, a waiter race took place in connection with the ČSOB Marathon. It happened in , in front of Eurovea. It was much more about entertainment than sports, and, for my taste, it lacked a bit of excitement. Above all, there were few participants, and their approach was mostly purely amateurish. The challenges from the event’s host to nearby restaurants for participation and recruiting among the audience just before the start of the event were a bit too much for me. The approach of the „official“ photographers, who were pushing to take some unique photos, was also not to my liking, especially since there were so many of them. Furthermore, the repeated shouting of Slava Jurka, the host, at the contestants about their falling pants seemed poor to me. Perhaps, for some, it’s a big laugh.

A challenging obstacle course was prepared for the participants, with the competition taking place in pairs. A mixed drink was prepared, and the task was to navigate the obstacles with the drink and then find someone else to drink the prepared beverage. Drinking posed a bit of a taste problem because the great effort and pressure made the drinks a bit intense :-). Nevertheless, I took some photos, and I’m quite satisfied with them.
