S nápadom vybudovať jazierka údajne prišiel bulharský ex-cár Ferdinand I. Coburg pri prechádzke s Imrichom Winterom. Vybudované boli v rokoch 1934 – 35. (Informačná tabuľa pred jazierkami). Sú to tri väčšie jazierka a jedno menšie. Každé z nich je trochu inak zariadené. Nachádzajú sa v časti, ktorú nazývame Kúpeľný ostrov. Do jazierok vteká termálna voda. Druhové bohatstvo rýb v jazierkach nie je vysoké, aj kvôli vysokému obsahu rozpustených látok v termálnej vode. Hlavnými obyvateľmi sú ryby: gupky ( Poecilia reticulata), molinézie (Poecilia sphenops), mečovky (Xiphophorus helleri), koikapre( Cyprinus carpio) a karasy( Carassius auratus). Chovatelia tam občas hodia svoje ryby, ktoré už nechcú. Tieto ryby však obyčajne nemajú v jazierku dlhú životnosť. Niektoré sa udržia, napr. Archocentrus nigrofasciatus, Oreochromis mozambicus.
Osobitná kapitola sú korytnačky písmenkovéTrachemys scripta. Pred rokom 2005 ich tam bolo neúnosné množstvo. Chápem, že deťom sa korytnačky rátajú, ale 30 korytnačiek v jazierku je dozaista priveľa. Korytnačky “odkladajú” do jazierok tí, ktorí sa ich potrebujú zbaviť. Apelujem na všetkých záujemcov o chov korytnačiek, aby si zvážili pred kúpou svoje možnosti. Z iných živočíchov sa v jazierkach tu vyskytujú skokany rodu Rana. Z rastlín sú tu zastúpené rôzne druhy lekien a lotosov – Nymphaea, Nelumbo, viktória kráľovská – Victoria amazonica, puškvorec – Acorus, kalmus – Calamus, pálka – Typha minima, praslička – Equisetum, kosatec – Iris (Informačná tabuľa pred jazierkami). V blízkom okolí rastie bambus. Po krajoch rastú rôzne okrasné kvety. Neďaleko rastie Gingko bilobaa iné exotické druhy drevín. Asi v roku 2007 po prvý krát vyvstal problém s kačicami. V priebehu leta so do jazierok natrvalo nasťahoval jeden pár Anas platyrhynchos. Vypadalo to celkom milo, lenže kačky sa rýchlo prispôsobili. Najmä turisti ich chodili kŕmiť, kačice stratili väčšinu ostražitosti a po nejakom čase sa pridali ďalšie. Nebolo problém vidieť desať kačiek v jazierkach. Časom ale nastalo chladnejšie počasie a turisti prestali v takej miere kačice prikrmovať. Kačky si však už na svoje nové prostredie zvykli a pustili do lekien a iných rastlín, ktoré mali k dispozícii. Na konci roka to vypadalo, že jazierka sú zničené.
Reakcia prišla – po čase sa na jazierkach objavilo “pletivo”, ktoré celkom účinne kačkám bránilo. V tom čase však už bolo trochu neskoro a zelené časti rastlín boli vyšklbané až na dno. Lekná majú našťastie korene veľmi hlboko a na jar sa obnovili. Na jar nasledujúceho roku jazierkam pomohli tým, že tam nasadili nové lekná, ktoré sa pestujú v skleníkoch. V roku 2008 sa tiež objavilo nad leknami pletivo ako zábrana proti kačkám. Nepovažujem to za dobré riešenie. Nebolo by vhodnejšie informovať a vychovávať turistov a domácich, ktorí chcú prikrmovať kačky, aby to nerobili. Napokon aj ryby. V rámci toho by si kúpele mohli robiť dobrú reklamu. Zdá sa mi to rozumnejšie, ako postávanie kúpeľnej polície o kúsok vyššie a striehnutie na cyklistov a korčuliarov. Pletivo je reštrikčné opatrenie a dosť neestetické. Occasionally, irresponsible breeders throw their unwanted fish into the ponds. However, these fish usually do not have a long lifespan in the pond. Some persist, for example, Archocentrus nigrofasciatus, Oreochromis mozambicus.
A special chapter is the lettered turtles Trachemys scripta. Before 2005, there was an unbearable number of them. I understand that children like turtles, but 30 turtles in a pond is certainly too much. People “deposit” turtles in the ponds when they want to get rid of them. I appeal to all those interested in keeping turtles to consider their options before buying. Among other animals, frogs of the genus Rana occur in the ponds. Bamboo grows in the vicinity. Various ornamental flowers grow around the edges. Ginkgo biloba and other exotic tree species grow nearby. Around 2007, a problem arose with ducks. During the summer, one pair of Anas platyrhynchos permanently settled in the ponds. It seemed quite nice, but the ducks quickly adapted. Especially tourists fed them, the ducks lost most of their vigilance, and after some time, more ducks joined. It was not a problem to see ten ducks in the ponds. However, colder weather eventually came, and tourists stopped feeding the ducks to the same extent. The ducks, however, had already adapted to their new environment and started to nibble on the water lilies and other plants available to them. At the end of the year, it looked like the ponds were destroyed.
A reaction came – after a while, “fencing” appeared on the ponds, which effectively prevented ducks. At that time, however, it was a bit late, and the green parts of the plants were dug down to the bottom. Fortunately, water lilies have very deep roots, and they recovered in the spring. The following spring, they helped the ponds by planting new water lilies, which are cultivated in greenhouses. In 2008, a fence also appeared above the water lilies as a barrier against ducks. I do not consider it a good solution. Wouldn’t it be more appropriate to inform and educate tourists and locals who want to feed ducks not to do so? Finally, even fish. As part of this, the spa could advertise well. It seems more reasonable to me than standing higher as a spa police and watching cyclists and skaters. The fence is a restrictive measure and quite unaesthetic. Information is preventative; besides, it creates a higher impression of care and professionalism. I know it’s nice to feed ducks and fish, but the consequences are undesirable. Moreover, alongside informing, the spa could ensure that tourists do not throw coins into the ponds, which primarily affects water lilies. I know that the spa would have to invest, but I am convinced that it would pay off for the spa.

Výsadba – Kubánova važina – sa nachádza za Lodenicou. Je to “ostrov” života. V lete tam často vyspevuje trsteniarik, rybárik, občas sú tam chavkoše nočné, vážky, korytnačkyEmys orbicularis apod. Prípadne si tam labuť vodí svoje mladé pomedzi lekná. O túto plochu sa dlhé roky staral pán Viliam Kubán, ornitológ ktorý však žiaľ už zomrel. Podľa Františka Baču, sa tú nachádza ako Typha latifolia ako aj T. angustifolia, dokonca tu tieto dva druhy vytvárajú vzácne krížence. Rastie tu jelša lepkavá – Alnus glutinosa.
Nachádza sa na pravom brehu vodnej nádrže Sĺňava, na rozlohe 2,5 hektára. Jej súčasťou je ornitologický stacionár určený na pozorovanie a krúžkovanie operencov. Je to miesto, ktoré odborníci nazývajú vtáčí raj. V posledných rokoch je Výsadba prísne chráneným vtáčím územím, ktorá sa otvára verejnosti. Ornitológ Erich Kubica tam v rámci popularizácie environmentálnych tém organizuje prednášky, počas ktorých si účastníci môžu vyskúšať napríklad aj krúžkovanie voľne žijúcich vtákov. Okrem toho sa dozvedia, prečo je dôležitá ochrana prírody ako sa mení druhová skladba operencov hniezdiacich pri Sĺňave, i to, kam všade vtáky zakrúžkované v Piešťanoch doleteli. Za desiatky rokov od vzniku vodnej plochy a brehových porastov sa tu udomácnila vzácna močiarna a bažinná flóra. Z drevín tu dominuje jelša lepkavá ako pôvodný druh na tomto mieste. Močiarne a vodné rastliny sa šíria nivou Váhu od juhu, následkom otepľovania a aj s prispením vtáctva. Mnohé rastlinné druhy tu dosahujú severnú hranicu rozšírenia. S jarou začína pokrývať vodnú plochu leknica žltá. Občas sa na Výsadbe objaví vzácna bublinatka južná, prevažujúcim druhom je na jazere pálka úzkolistá, ktorá s pálkou širokolistou vytvára dokonca vzácne krížence. Z iných druhov kruštík neskorý, rožkatec pohrúžený, mrvka plávajúca, šípovka vodná, škripinec jazierny, žabník skorocelový. V súčasnosti pre opravu hrádze sme zaznamenali zníženie vodnej hladiny Sĺňavy. Hrozí vyhynutie vzácnych druhov rastlín, ak tento stav potrvá dlhšiu dobu, najmä cez zimu (František Bača).
Planting – Kubán’s Marshland – is located behind Lodenica. It is an “island” of life. In summer, reed warblers often sing there, kingfishers can be seen, and occasionally night herons, dragonflies, and turtles such as Emys orbicularis appear. Sometimes a swan leads its young through the water lilies. This area was cared for many years by Mr. Viliam Kubán, an ornithologist who, unfortunately, has passed away. According to František Bača, both Typha latifolia and T. angustifolia are present here, and these two species even form rare hybrids. The area is also home to the black alder – Alnus glutinosa.
The marshland is located on the right bank of the Sĺňava reservoir, covering an area of 2.5 hectares. It includes an ornithological station designed for bird watching and ringing. Experts call it a bird paradise. In recent years, the marshland has become a strictly protected bird area that is occasionally opened to the public. Ornithologist Erich Kubica organizes lectures there to popularize environmental issues, during which participants can try bird ringing, among other activities. They also learn about the importance of nature conservation, changes in bird species nesting near Sĺňava, and where birds ringed in Piešťany have traveled. Among the rarest species that regularly nest in this area is the endangered common kingfisher (Alcedo atthis).
The marshland is a valuable habitat not only for birds, which find rest here during migration, but also for small insects, spiders, butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, amphibians, and recently, turtles. Over the decades since the creation of the water body and riparian vegetation, rare marsh and swamp flora have become established here. The dominant tree species is the native black alder. Marsh and aquatic plants are spreading northwards along the Váh River, aided by warming and bird activity. Many plant species here reach their northern distribution limit. In spring, the water surface is covered by yellow water lilies. Occasionally, the rare southern bladderwort appears in the marshland, while the predominant species in the lake is the narrowleaf cattail, which forms rare hybrids with the broadleaf cattail. Other species include the late marsh orchid, hornwort, water milfoil, arrowhead, and bur-reed. Due to recent dam repairs, the water level in Sĺňava has decreased. If this condition persists, especially through winter, the extinction of rare plant species is a serious threat (František Bača).

Klub.akva.sk zorganizoval Akvaristickú zimu 21. – 22.11.2009. Ako sa pomaly stáva zvykom, akcia sa venovala predovšetkým miniakváriam. Akvazima sa konala v rovnakom termíne ako bola akcia v Plzni, čo sa možno trošku negatívne prejavilo na nižšej účasti predajcov, ale predovšetkým na nižšej účasti návštevníkov z Česka. Na druhej strane, napr. z Romana Slabocha z Prahy sa stáva počas konania akcií klubu.akva.sk bratislavčan ;-). Každopádne z hľadiska návštevnosti sa klubu akcia nadmieru vydarila. Ešte som nezažil na akcii klubu.akva.sk, v pomerne veľkých priestoroch DK Ružinov, aby v sobotu počas prvého dňa akcie bolo cez obed toľko ľudí. Odhadujem, že na Akvazimu prišlo viac ako 900 ľudí. Ja sám som sa tentokrát na akciu pripravil dôkladnejšie. Je pravda, že som ponúkal iba malý sortiment, moja príprava skôr spočívala v propagácii. Na sebe som mal tričko, ktoré okrem toho, že ma identifikovalo a obsahovalo reklamu na moje vlastné stránky (viď koniec fotoreportu), odporúčal som pomocou neho aj iné chovateľsky zamerané stránky, ktoré má podľa mňa zmysel sledovať: www.akvaria.sk, www.akva.sk, maniakva.seznam.czwww.akvarijni.cz, www.aquatab.net, www.akvamalawi.com, www.rybicky.net, www.reef.sk, www.fishbase.com, www.ifauna.sk, www.teraristika.sk. Na stole som mal notebook, na ktorom bežala prezentácia, kde boli screenshoty týchto stránok spolu s mojou stránkou a do ktorej som pridal ešte stránku www.cichlid.sk. Na výstave miničiek sa mi najviac páčilo akvárium Andreja Žitného, alias azeta a Khanhove akvárium – Khanh Ta. Tie boli skutočné krásne. Vo fotoreportáži sú vidno viaceré, ktoré sa mi páčili a podarilo sa mi ich slušne odfotografovať. Sú v poradí, v akom by som ich zhodnotil ja. Súťaže som sa zúčastnil aj ja. Nebol som vôbec so sebou spokojný, svoje predsavzatie venovať sa miničku dlhší čas som silne zanedbal. Celkovo sa súťaže zúčastnilo 34 miniakvárií od 22 akvaristov. Oficiálne vyhodnotenie organizátorom je na konci príspevku o tejto akcii. Ja len stručne spomeniem, že výsledkom hodnotenia poroty je 1. Khanh Ta Fire Wood, 2. Markéta Rejlková – Australský podzim, 3. Michal Toufar – Adršpach. Hlasovanie návštevníkov dopadlo trochu inak: 1. Andrej Žitný – Leto, 2. Khanh Ta – Fire Wood, 3. Michal Toufar – Adršpach.
Klub.akva.sk organized the Aquatic Winter event on November 21 – 22, 2009. As it is slowly becoming customary, the event primarily focused on mini aquariums. The Aquazima took place at the same time as the event in Plzeň, which may have negatively impacted the lower participation of vendors, but especially the lower attendance of visitors from the Czech Republic. On the other hand, Roman Slaboch from Prague is becoming a Bratislava resident during the events organized by klub.akva.sk ;-). In terms of attendance, the event was extremely successful for the club. I have never experienced so many people at a klub.akva.sk event, especially during the first day of the event on Saturday around lunchtime, in the relatively large premises of the DK Ružinov. I estimate that more than 900 people attended the Aquazima. This time, I prepared more thoroughly for the event. It is true that I offered only a small assortment, but my preparation focused more on promotion. I wore a T‑shirt that, besides identifying me and containing advertising for my own website (see the end of the photo report), recommended other fishkeeping websites that, in my opinion, are worth following: www.akvaria.sk, www.akva.sk, maniakva.seznam.cz, www.akvarijni.cz, www.aquatab.net, www.akvamalawi.com, www.rybicky.net, www.reef.sk, www.fishbase.com, www.ifauna.sk, www.teraristika.sk. I had a laptop on the table running a presentation with screenshots of these websites along with my website, to which I added the website www.cichlid.sk. At the mini aquarium exhibition, I liked the aquariums of Andrej Žitný, aka azeta, and Khanh Ta the most. They were truly beautiful. In the photo report, you can see several that I liked and managed to photograph decently. They are in the order in which I would evaluate them. I also participated in the competitions. I was not satisfied with myself at all; I strongly neglected my resolution to focus on mini aquariums for a longer time. In total, there were 34 mini aquariums from 22 hobbyists participating in the competition. The official evaluation by the organizers is at the end of the article about this event. I will just briefly mention that the jury’s evaluation resulted in 1st place for Khanh Ta with Fire Wood, 2nd place for Markéta Rejlková with Australian Autumn, and 3rd place for Michal Toufar with Adršpach. The voting by visitors turned out a bit differently: 1st place for Andrej Žitný with Summer, 2nd place for Khanh Ta with Fire Wood, and 3rd place for Michal Toufar with Adršpach.
Klub.akva.sk hat den Aquaristischen Winter am 21. – 22. November 2009 organisiert. Wie es langsam zur Gewohnheit wird, lag der Schwerpunkt der Veranstaltung hauptsächlich auf Mini-Aquarien. Die Aquazima fand zur gleichen Zeit wie die Veranstaltung in Pilsen statt, was sich möglicherweise negativ auf die geringere Beteiligung von Verkäufern, aber vor allem auf die geringere Beteiligung von Besuchern aus der Tschechischen Republik ausgewirkt haben könnte. Auf der anderen Seite wird Roman Slaboch aus Prag während der Veranstaltungen von klub.akva.sk immer mehr zu einem Einwohner von Bratislava ;-). In Bezug auf die Teilnahme war die Veranstaltung für den Verein äußerst erfolgreich. Ich habe noch nie so viele Menschen bei einer Veranstaltung von klub.akva.sk erlebt, insbesondere während des ersten Tages der Veranstaltung am Samstag zur Mittagszeit in den relativ großen Räumlichkeiten des DK Ružinov. Ich schätze, dass mehr als 900 Personen an der Aquazima teilgenommen haben. Dieses Mal habe ich mich gründlicher auf die Veranstaltung vorbereitet. Es stimmt, dass ich nur ein kleines Sortiment angeboten habe, aber meine Vorbereitung konzentrierte sich eher auf die Werbung. Ich trug ein T‑Shirt, das mich identifizierte und Werbung für meine eigene Website enthielt (siehe Ende des Fotoberichts). Auf dem Tisch hatte ich einen Laptop, auf dem eine Präsentation mit Screenshots dieser Websites zusammen mit meiner Website lief, zu der ich die Website www.cichlid.sk hinzufügte. Bei der Mini-Aquarienausstellung gefielen mir die Aquarien von Andrej Žitný, alias azeta, und Khanh Ta am besten. Sie waren wirklich wunderschön. Im Fotobericht können Sie mehrere sehen, die mir gefallen haben und die ich ordentlich fotografieren konnte. Sie sind in der Reihenfolge, in der ich sie bewerten würde. Ich habe auch an den Wettbewerben teilgenommen. Ich war überhaupt nicht zufrieden mit mir; Ich habe meinen Vorsatz, mich länger auf Mini-Aquarien zu konzentrieren, stark vernachlässigt. Insgesamt gab es 34 Mini-Aquarien von 22 Hobbyisten, die am Wettbewerb teilnahmen. Die offizielle Bewertung durch die Organisatoren finden Sie am Ende des Artikels über diese Veranstaltung. Na akciách klubu.akva.sk som sa doteraz vždy pravidelne zúčastňoval. Do konca roka 2008 som dokonca bol členom rady tohto klubu. Aj preto si dovolím v nasledujúcich riadkoch trochu sumarizovať a byť trochu kritický. Skúsim zhodnotiť z pohľadu návštevníka čo mi Akvazima 2009 ponúkla aj s ohľadom na minulosť. Vstupné ostalo nezmenené, 1.5 €. Mohol som si nakúpiť, predovšetkým v sobotu bolo celkom z čoho vybrať, aj sortiment bol všakovaký. Príjemne potešila vyššia návštevnosť. V nedeľu by som bol sklamaný, pretože polovička predajcov bola fuč. Keďže sa táto situácia opakovala a navyše jednotliví predajcovia boli rozťahaní po celom priestore, tak by som ocenil, keby usporiadateľ akcie apeloval oveľa viac na predajcov, najmä tých objemnejších, aby zostali aj v nedeľu na akcii. A zdá sa mi vhodné, keby prázdne stoly, ktoré po sobote osirejú, zmizli z dosahu očí návštevníkov, a aby jednotlivých predajcov usporiadateľ po odchode iných presunul tak, aby boli pri sebe. Výstava miniakvárií bola pekná, ale nemyslím si, že je vhodné mať výstavu v tom zastrčenom kúte, kde zvyčajne klub.akva.sk umiestňuje výstavy a kde bola aj teraz. Zvlášť s ohľadom na slabú informovanosť o lokalizácii samotnej výstavy. Myslím si, že ambíciou klubu.akva.sk je poriadať výstavy a tým ovplyvňovať akvaristov aj neakvaristov. Na mňa ale tým, že výstavy sú situované vzadu a vpredu priestor je prázdny, to pôsobí aj tak, že usporiadateľ akoby nechcel svoje dielo prezentovať. V priestore DK Ružinov je dosť miesta, napravo od stolov, kde býva najdlhší rad burzových predajcov, tam je ideálny priestor pre prezentovanie, a to nielen výstavy akvárií. Aj tentokrát sa konali prednášky. Nuž, keby som nebol vo veci znalý, tak by som nevedel ale kedy sa konali. Nikto, ani mňa neupozornil na začiatok prednášok a mám silný pocit, že ani väčšina náhodných návštevníkov nemala tušenie o tejto chvályhodnej aktivite. Ak si to sami neprečítali predtým na plagáte, tak zrejme na žiadnej prednáške neboli a ani o nej netušili. Ja som si akurát všimol, kde mala byť. Navštevujem akcie podobného druhu, napr. aj fotografické akcie, výstavy výtvarných diel, vernisáže, filmové projekcie, veľtrhy technickej povahy, rôzne obchodné a prezentačné akcie a všade tam obyčajne je nejaký prvok, ktorý zabezpečuje komunikáciu aj priamo na akcii. Častokrát plnia túto funkciu aj deti organizátorov v rovnakých tričkách, ktoré operujú po priestore výstaviska a vyzývajú ľudí, aby šli tam, či onam. Pri vstupe často predávajúci vstupenky, alebo aj niekto iný, stojí a informuje. A zväčša na rôznych prezentáciách vnímam spolupatričnosť. Na akciách klubu.akva.sk by som, keby som dobre nepoznal organizátorov a aj kopec návštevníkov, nevedel rozoznať asi ani žiadneho organizátora. O nejakej odpozorovanej spolupatričnosti sa nedá hovoriť, snáď len podľa niektorých tričiek, aj to rôznych farieb u ťažko definovateľných okoloidúcich. Na akciách klubu.akva.sk skôr funguje “chémia” medzi predajcami, čiastočne aj medzi návštevníkmi. V DK Ružinov sú k dispozícii panely, na ktoré sa dajú umiestniť propagačné, edukačné materiály, prípadne fotografie. Na Akvazime 2009 nebolo nič. Využite týchto panelov klesá od akcie ku akcii. Pre návštevníka akvaristickej akcie je tento priestor prázdny, nečitateľný. Na predchádzajúcej Akvajeseni boli na paneloch myslím edukačné materiály, veď prečo nie? Čo iné má mohlo pozitívne zaujať na Akvazime 2009? Bohužiaľ, nič ma nenapadlo pre bežného návštevníka. Iný program nebol, aspoň ja som ho nezaregistroval. Predtým klub pripravil aspoň stôl a deti, ale aj dospelí si mohli kresliť. V minulosti deti napr. hádzali kockou. Keď to preženiem, tak počas Akvazimy 2009 sa na deti nikto ani nepozrel. Ako odmena za nakreslenie sa vyskytovali pri pokladni cukríky, často sa zapojili aj dospelí. Sám som počas Akvajesene 2009 úspešne vyzval pri pokladni pani v najlepších rokoch, ktorá potom kreslila asi 4 – 5 obrázkov. Nezabudla a čosi venovala aj okolo pobehujúcim deťom a vyžiadala si aj cukrík ;-). Na niektorých akciach bola na programe dražba. Keby som aspoň videl, že samotní organizátori sú radi, ako pripravili akciu, prípadne keby som videl, že sa vyskytujú v priestore, snažia sa niečo napraviť, informovať druhých. Nič také som ale nezaregistroval.. Veľmi pozitívny bol “spoločenský večer”, ktorý sa konal opäť v priestoroch domáceho bistra. Tentokrát som sa na ňom zdržal cca do 22-ej hodiny. Výborne sme sa bavili. Tento večer je pre aktívnych účastníkov a je pochopiteľne mimo verejného programu. V každom prípade je to najzmysluplnejšia aktivita pre kredit akcie v očiach zažratých účastníkov.
At klub.akva.sk events, I have always regularly participated. Until the end of 2008, I was even a member of the club’s board. Therefore, I dare to summarize and be a bit critical in the following lines. I will try to evaluate what Aquazima 2009 offered me from the visitor’s perspective, also considering the past. The entrance fee remained unchanged at €1.5. I could make purchases, especially on Saturday, there was quite a selection, and the assortment was diverse. The higher attendance was pleasantly surprising. I would have been disappointed on Sunday because half of the vendors were missing. Since this situation repeated itself, and individual vendors were scattered throughout the space, I would appreciate it if the event organizer urged vendors, especially larger ones, to stay on Sunday as well. It seems appropriate to me that empty tables, which become vacant after Saturday, disappear from the visitors’ sight, and that the organizer relocates individual vendors after others leave so that they are close to each other. The mini aquarium exhibition was nice, but I don’t think it’s suitable to have the exhibition in that tucked-away corner where klub.akva.sk usually places exhibitions and where it was also located this time. Especially considering the poor information about the location of the exhibition itself. I think the ambition of klub.akva.sk is to organize exhibitions and thus influence both aquarists and non-aquarists. However, to me, having the exhibitions located in the back and front with empty space in between gives the impression that the organizer does not want to showcase their work. There is plenty of space in the DK Ružinov venue, to the right of the tables where the longest row of market vendors usually is, which is an ideal space for presentation, not only for aquarium exhibitions. This time, there were also lectures. Well, if I didn’t know the subject matter, I wouldn’t have known when the lectures were held. No one, not even me, was notified of the start of the lectures, and I strongly feel that most random visitors had no idea about this commendable activity. If they didn’t read about it on the poster beforehand, they probably didn’t attend any lecture and didn’t even know about them. I just noticed where they were supposed to be. I attend events of a similar nature, such as photography events, art exhibitions, openings, film screenings, technical fairs, various commercial and presentation events, and there is usually an element that enables communication directly at the event. Often, this function is fulfilled by the children of the organizers wearing the same T‑shirts, who operate throughout the exhibition space and encourage people to go here or there. At the entrance, ticket sellers often inform visitors. And usually, at various presentations, I perceive a sense of solidarity. At klub.akva.sk events, if I didn’t know the organizers well and also many of the visitors, I probably wouldn’t even recognize any organizer. There is no sense of observed solidarity, perhaps only based on some T‑shirts, even of different colors, worn by the hardly definable passers-by. At klub.akva.sk events, “chemistry” between vendors, and partly between visitors, seems to work rather than observed solidarity. Panels are available in the DK Ružinov venue, on which promotional and educational materials, or even photos, can be placed. At Aquazima 2009, there was nothing. The use of these panels decreases from event to event. For the visitor of the aquarium event, this space is empty and unreadable. At the previous Aquajesen, I think there were educational materials on the panels, why not? What else could have positively impressed me at Aquazima 2009? Unfortunately, nothing comes to mind for an average visitor. There was no other program, at least I didn’t notice any. The club used to set up a table and children, but also adults, could draw. In the past, children, for example, played with dice. If I overdo it, during Aquazima 2009, no one even looked at the children. As a reward for drawing, there were candies at the cashier, often adults also got involved. During Aquajesen 2009, I successfully encouraged the cashier, a lady in the prime of life, to draw about 4 – 5 pictures. She didn’t forget and gave something to the children running around and also asked for candy ;-). Auctions were part of some events. If I had at least seen that the organizers themselves were pleased with how they prepared the event, or if I had seen them present in the venue, trying to fix something, informing others. But I didn’t notice anything like that. The “social evening” held again in the domestic bistro premises was very positive. This time, I stayed until about 10 p.m. We had a great time. This evening is for active participants and is, of course, outside the public program. In any case, it is the most meaningful activity for the credit of the event in the eyes of enthusiastic participants.
Auf den Veranstaltungen von klub.akva.sk habe ich bisher immer regelmäßig teilgenommen. Bis Ende 2008 war ich sogar Mitglied des Vorstands dieses Vereins. Daher erlaube ich mir, in den folgenden Zeilen ein wenig zu resümieren und auch etwas kritisch zu sein. Ich werde versuchen, aus der Perspektive eines Besuchers zu bewerten, was mir die Aquazima 2009 bot, auch unter Berücksichtigung der Vergangenheit. Die Eintrittsgebühr blieb unverändert bei 1,5 €. Ich konnte Einkäufe tätigen, besonders am Samstag gab es eine recht große Auswahl, und das Sortiment war vielfältig. Die höhere Besucherzahl war angenehm überraschend. Ich wäre enttäuscht gewesen, wenn am Sonntag die Hälfte der Verkäufer gefehlt hätte. Da sich diese Situation wiederholt hat und einzelne Verkäufer über den gesamten Raum verteilt waren, würde ich es begrüßen, wenn der Veranstalter die Verkäufer, insbesondere größere, dazu ermutigen würde, auch am Sonntag auf der Veranstaltung zu bleiben. Es scheint mir angemessen, dass leere Tische, die nach dem Samstag frei werden, aus dem Blickfeld der Besucher verschwinden und dass der Veranstalter einzelne Verkäufer nach dem Verlassen anderer näher beieinander platziert. Die Mini-Aquarium-Ausstellung war schön, aber ich glaube nicht, dass es sinnvoll ist, die Ausstellung in dieser versteckten Ecke zu haben, wo klub.akva.sk normalerweise Ausstellungen platziert und wo sie auch dieses Mal platziert wurde. Besonders angesichts der schlechten Information über den Standort der Ausstellung selbst. Ich denke, das Bestreben von klub.akva.sk ist es, Ausstellungen zu organisieren und damit sowohl Aquarianer als auch Nicht-Aquarianer zu beeinflussen. Jedoch vermittelt mir die Platzierung der Ausstellungen im hinteren und vorderen Bereich mit leerem Platz dazwischen den Eindruck, dass der Veranstalter seine Arbeit nicht präsentieren möchte. Im DK Ružinov gibt es genügend Platz, rechts von den Tischen, wo normalerweise der längste Stand von Marktverkäufern steht, gibt es einen idealen Platz zur Präsentation, nicht nur für Aquarium-Ausstellungen. Diesmal gab es auch Vorträge. Nun, wenn ich mich mit dem Thema nicht auskenne, hätte ich nicht gewusst, wann die Vorträge stattfanden. Niemand, auch ich nicht, wurde über den Beginn der Vorträge informiert, und ich habe stark das Gefühl, dass die meisten zufälligen Besucher keine Ahnung von dieser lobenswerten Aktivität hatten. Wenn sie es nicht vorher auf dem Plakat gelesen hatten, haben sie wahrscheinlich keinen Vortrag besucht und wussten auch nichts davon. Ich habe nur bemerkt, wo sie sein sollten. Ich besuche Veranstaltungen ähnlicher Art, wie zum Beispiel Fotoveranstaltungen, Kunstausstellungen, Eröffnungen, Filmvorführungen, technische Messen, verschiedene kommerzielle und Präsentationsveranstaltungen, und es gibt normalerweise ein Element, das die Kommunikation direkt auf der Veranstaltung ermöglicht. Oft erfüllen diese Funktion auch die Kinder der Organisatoren, die die gleichen T‑Shirts tragen, im gesamten Ausstellungsbereich aktiv sind und die Menschen dazu ermutigen, hier oder dort hinzugehen. Am Eingang informieren oft Kartenverkäufer die Besucher. Und in der Regel nehme ich bei verschiedenen Präsentationen eine Art Zusammenhalt wahr. Bei den Veranstaltungen von klub.akva.sk würde ich, wenn ich die Organisatoren nicht gut kennen würde und auch viele der Besucher nicht, wahrscheinlich nicht einmal einen Organisator erkennen. Es gibt keinen Sinn für beobachtete Solidarität, vielleicht nur aufgrund einiger T‑Shirts, auch in verschiedenen Farben, die von den schwer definierbaren Passanten getragen werden. Bei den Veranstaltungen von klub.akva.sk scheint eher “Chemie” zwischen den Verkäufern und teilweise zwischen den Besuchern zu funktionieren als beobachtete Solidarität. In der DK Ružinov gibt es Paneele, auf denen Werbe- und Bildungsmaterialien oder sogar Fotos platziert werden können. Bei der Aquazima 2009 gab es nichts. Die Nutzung dieser Paneele nimmt von Veranstaltung zu Veranstaltung ab. Für den Besucher der Aquarienveranstaltung ist dieser Raum leer und unleserlich. Bei der vorherigen Aquajesen gab es meines Wissens nach Bildungsmaterialien auf den Paneelen, warum also nicht? Was hätte mich sonst noch positiv beeindrucken können bei der Aquazima 2009? Leider fällt mir nichts für einen durchschnittlichen Besucher ein. Es gab kein anderes Programm, zumindest habe ich keines bemerkt. Der Club hatte früher einen Tisch und Kinder, aber auch Erwachsene, konnten malen. In der Vergangenheit haben Kinder zum Beispiel mit Würfeln gespielt. Wenn ich übertreibe, hat während der Aquazima 2009 niemand auch nur einen Blick auf die Kinder geworfen. Als Belohnung für das Malen gab es an der Kasse Bonbons, oft haben sich auch Erwachsene beteiligt. Während der Aquajesen 2009 habe ich erfolgreich die Kassiererin, eine Dame in den besten Jahren, dazu ermutigt, etwa 4 – 5 Bilder zu malen. Sie hat nicht vergessen und etwas den umherlaufenden Kindern geschenkt und hat auch um ein Bonbon gebeten ;-). Auf einigen Veranstaltungen gab es Auktionen. Wenn ich zumindest gesehen hätte, dass die Organisatoren selbst zufrieden damit waren, wie sie die Veranstaltung vorbereitet haben, oder wenn ich gesehen hätte, dass sie im Raum präsent waren, um etwas zu reparieren, andere zu informieren. Aber ich habe nichts dergleichen bemerkt. Sehr positiv war der “gesellschaftliche Abend”, der wieder in den Räumlichkeiten des hauseigenen Bistros stattfand. Diesmal blieb ich etwa bis 22 Uhr dort. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Dieser Abend ist für aktive Teilnehmer und befindet sich natürlich außerhalb des öffentlichen Programms. In jedem Fall ist es die sinnvollste Aktivität für das Ansehen der Veranstaltung in den Augen der begeisterten Teilnehmer.
Viem, že nasledujúca akcia podobného typu bude Akvaristická jar a má sa konať 8.5.2009. Nám predajcom sa to samozrejme nepáči, pretože je to veľmi neskoro od Akvaristickej zimy. Myslím, že ani pre obyčajných návštevníkov to nie je práve dobrá správa. Pre nás, ktorí sa aktívnejšie podieľame na akciách v sumáre pomaly po celej strednej Európe, je zlý aj ten fakt, že termín akcie Akvajari 2010 sme sa dozvedeli až na Akvaristickej zime 2009. Je bežné, že si poniektorí robíme rozpis na rok dopredu. Očakával by som, že organizátori podobných akcií a hlavne tam, kde je obrovský potenciál masy ľudí (a to v Bratislave je), sa bude k tomuto stavať inak. Ja napr. okamžite, ako som sa dozvedel, že Akvajar 2010 bude 8.5.2010, som vedel, že na nej nebudem osobne zastúpený, pretože v ten deň mám iný program. A vzhľadom na to, že klub.akva.sk usporadúva už len tri akcie do roka namiesto štyroch, tak nasledujúca akcia klubu.akva.sk, na ktorej sa budem môcť zúčastniť bude zrejme najskôr koncom septembra 2010. A to je takmer o 10 mesiacov !! Chcem a budem veľmi rád, keď klub.akva.sk a podobné spolky, ktoré sa snažia robiť niečo pekné, budú mať návštevnosť a budú schopné prežiť. Obzvlášť v Bratislave. Aj preto, lebo je to drahé mesto a na prenájom priestorov výstavy sú istotne vyššie náklady, ako by boli a sú v iných mestách. A chcem, aby sa takýmto akciám darilo.
I know that the next event of a similar type will be the Aquarium Spring and it is supposed to take place on May 8, 2009. We, the vendors, of course, do not like it because it is very late after the Aquarium Winter. I don’t think it’s good news even for ordinary visitors. For those of us who are more actively involved in events across Central Europe, it’s also bad news that we only learned about the date of the Aquajari 2010 event at the Aquarium Winter 2009. It is common for some of us to plan our schedules a year in advance. I would expect that organizers of such events, especially where there is huge potential for a mass of people (and this is the case in Bratislava), would approach this differently. For example, as soon as I learned that the Aquajari 2010 would be on May 8, 2010, I knew that I would not be personally present because I have other plans for that day. And considering that klub.akva.sk only organizes three events per year instead of four, the next event of klub.akva.sk that I will be able to attend will probably be at the end of September 2010. And that’s almost 10 months later!! I want and will be very glad when klub.akva.sk and similar organizations, which are trying to do something nice, have attendance and are able to survive. Especially in Bratislava. Also because it is an expensive city and the rental costs for exhibition spaces are certainly higher than they would be in other cities. And I want such events to succeed.
Ich weiß, dass die nächste Veranstaltung ähnlichen Typs die Aquariumfrühling sein wird und am 8.5.2009 stattfinden soll. Uns Verkäufern gefällt das natürlich nicht, weil es sehr spät nach der Aquariumwinter ist. Ich denke, dass es auch für gewöhnliche Besucher keine gute Nachricht ist. Für uns, die wir aktiver an Veranstaltungen in ganz Mitteleuropa teilnehmen, ist auch die Tatsache schlecht, dass wir den Termin für die Veranstaltung Aquajari 2010 erst auf der Aquariumwinter 2009 erfahren haben. Es ist üblich, dass einige von uns einen Plan für das nächste Jahr machen. Ich hätte erwartet, dass die Organisatoren ähnlicher Veranstaltungen, insbesondere dort, wo ein riesiges Potenzial an Menschenmassen vorhanden ist (und das ist in Bratislava der Fall), sich anders dazu verhalten würden. Zum Beispiel, als ich erfuhr, dass Aquajari 2010 am 8.5.2010 sein wird, wusste ich sofort, dass ich persönlich nicht teilnehmen werde, weil ich an diesem Tag andere Pläne habe. Und da der klub.akva.sk nur noch drei Veranstaltungen pro Jahr anstatt vier organisiert, wird die nächste Veranstaltung des klub.akva.sk, an der ich teilnehmen könnte, wahrscheinlich Ende September 2010 stattfinden. Und das ist fast 10 Monate später!! Ich möchte und werde sehr froh sein, wenn klub.akva.sk und ähnliche Organisationen, die versuchen, etwas Schönes zu machen, Besucher haben und überlebensfähig sind. Besonders in Bratislava. Auch deshalb, weil es eine teure Stadt ist und die Mietkosten für Ausstellungsräume sicherlich höher sind als in anderen Städten. Und ich möchte, dass solche Veranstaltungen erfolgreich sind.

Akvaristická jeseň 2009
Akvajeseň (3. – 4.10.2009) sa niesla v znamení bojovníc, krevetiek, rakov a krabov. Stalo sa už tradíciou, že klub.akva.sk usporadúva výstavy bojovníc s medzinárodnou účasťou. Bojovnice sa tešia veľkému záujmu nielen súťažiacich, ale aj návštevníkov. Musím sa priznať, že som pochodil pomerne dosť výstav, ale také bojovnice, prípadne tak pekne nasvietené bojovnice, som ešte nevidel. Súťažilo sa podľa štandardu ČLA, to znamená, že sme videli na výstave plakaty, halfmoony, ale aj doubletaily. Na akvária s bojovnicami svietilo horné svetlo “halogénov”, ktoré boli pomerne na husto nad nimi. Môj prvý pocit bol, keď som si ešte nevšimol svetlá, ako je to možné, že na ryby svieti slnko. Myslím, že aj značný bodový charakter tohto typu osvetlenia spravil výbornú službu pre pekné vyfarbenie rýb. Netrúfam si povedať nakoľko to vplývalo na bojovnice, ale tie boli v každom prípade mimoriadne kľudné. Myslím, že to bol jeden z faktorov, popri dobrej vode a iných, ktoré prispeli k tomu, aby sa betky v Ružinove cítili dobre. Celkovým víťazom výstavy sa stal Milo Pešek. Jedným zo zúčastnených bol aj Hristo Atanasov, ktorý bol veľmi úspešný na predošlej výstave v rámci Akvaleta2008. Tentokrát zvíťazil v dvoch kategóriách – singletail female a plakat. Kombinované variety vyhral Martin Haláč, veiltail Ľudovít Fujko, crowntail Marek Bôrik, doubletail Miloslav Pešek a halfmoon Daniel Dekánek. Posudzovaných bolo 89 kolekcií. Každopádne ma nepríjemne prekvapila veľmi slabá účasť ľudí okolo splendenspower.cz. Dúfam že nabudúce spravia do Bratislavy inváziu ;-). Celková výsledková listina je na stránkach klubu. V nedeľu popoludní prebehla dražba, čo je v každom prípade výborná tradícia a určite lákadlo pre zabehnutých aj potenciálnych chovateľov bojovníc, prípadne len pre obdivovateľov týchto osobitých rýb. Ďalšie veľké lákadlo na návštevu akcie, a priznávam sa, že pre mňa oveľa väčšie, vzhľadom na to, že výstav bojovníc som videl kopec, bola výstava zo skupiny bezstavovcov: rakov, krabov a kreviet. Najmä na kraby som sa veľmi tešil. Sklamaný som nebol, článkované zvieratká sa mi páčili. Rovnako inštalácia výstavy, naaranžovanie mi pripadalo esteticky pekne zladená, aj funkčne spôsobilá.
Aquatic Autumn 2009
The Aquatic Autumn event (3rd-4th October 2009) was characterized by betta fish, shrimps, crayfish, and crabs. It has become a tradition for klub.akva.sk to organize betta exhibitions with international participation. Bettas attract great interest not only from competitors but also from visitors. I must admit that I have attended quite a few exhibitions, but I have never seen bettas, especially so beautifully illuminated ones. The competition followed the standards of the Czech Betta Club, which means that we saw posters, halfmoons, and doubletails at the exhibition. The betta aquariums were illuminated by “halogen” lights from above, which were quite dense over them. My first impression was when I didn’t notice the lights yet, how is it possible that the sun shines on the fish. I think that the considerable point-like nature of this type of lighting did an excellent job in enhancing the beautiful coloration of the fish. I dare not say to what extent it influenced the bettas, but they were exceptionally calm in any case. I think this was one of the factors, along with good water and others, that contributed to the bettas feeling comfortable in Ružinov. The overall winner of the exhibition was Milo Pešek. One of the participants was also Hristo Atanasov, who was very successful at the previous exhibition as part of Aqualete 2008. This time he won in two categories – singletail female and plakat. The combined variety was won by Martin Haláč, veiltail by Ľudovít Fujko, crowntail by Marek Bôrik, doubletail by Miloslav Pešek, and halfmoon by Daniel Dekánek. A total of 89 collections were judged. However, I was unpleasantly surprised by the very weak attendance of people around splendenspower.cz. I hope they will invade Bratislava next time ;-). The overall results list is on the club’s website. On Sunday afternoon, there was an auction, which is always an excellent tradition and definitely an attraction for established and potential betta breeders, or just for admirers of these peculiar fish. Another big attraction to attend the event, and I admit, much bigger for me, considering that I’ve seen plenty of betta exhibitions, was the exhibition from the group of invertebrates: crayfish, crabs, and shrimps. I was particularly looking forward to the crabs. I was not disappointed; the showcased animals appealed to me. Similarly, the installation of the exhibition, the arrangement, seemed aesthetically pleasing and functionally effective.
Aquatische Herbst 2009
Die Aquatische Herbstveranstaltung (3. – 4. Oktober 2009) war geprägt von Kampffischen, Garnelen, Flusskrebsen und Krabben. Es ist bereits zur Tradition geworden, dass klub.akva.sk Ausstellungen von Kampffischen mit internationaler Beteiligung organisiert. Kampffische erregen nicht nur das Interesse der Teilnehmer, sondern auch der Besucher. Ich muss zugeben, dass ich schon ziemlich viele Ausstellungen besucht habe, aber solche Kampffische, besonders so schön beleuchtete, habe ich noch nie gesehen. Der Wettbewerb folgte den Standards des Tschechischen Kampffischclubs, was bedeutet, dass wir auf der Ausstellung Poster, Halbmonde und Doppelschweife sahen. Die Kampffisch-Aquarien wurden von oben mit “Halogen” ‑Lichtern beleuchtet, die ziemlich dicht darüber waren. Mein erster Eindruck war, als ich die Lichter noch nicht bemerkt hatte, wie ist es möglich, dass die Sonne auf die Fische scheint. Ich denke, dass die beträchtlich punktuelle Natur dieser Art von Beleuchtung einen ausgezeichneten Job darin geleistet hat, die schöne Färbung der Fische zu verbessern. Ich traue mich nicht zu sagen, inwieweit dies die Kampffische beeinflusst hat, aber sie waren auf jeden Fall außergewöhnlich ruhig. Ich denke, dies war einer der Faktoren, zusammen mit gutem Wasser und anderen, die dazu beitrugen, dass sich die Kampffische in Ružinov wohl fühlten. Der Gesamtsieger der Ausstellung war Milo Pešek. Einer der Teilnehmer war auch Hristo Atanasov, der bei der vorherigen Ausstellung als Teil von Aqualete 2008 sehr erfolgreich war. Dieses Mal gewann er in zwei Kategorien – Singletail-Female und Plakat. Die kombinierte Vielfalt wurde von Martin Haláč gewonnen, Schleierschwanz von Ľudovít Fujko, Krönchenschwanz von Marek Bôrik, Doppelschwanz von Miloslav Pešek und Halbmond von Daniel Dekánek. Insgesamt wurden 89 Kollektionen bewertet. Ich war jedoch von der sehr schwachen Beteiligung von Menschen um splendenspower.cz sehr überrascht. Ich hoffe, sie werden das nächste Mal Bratislava überfallen ;-). Die Gesamtliste der Ergebnisse befindet sich auf der Website des Clubs. Am Sonntagnachmittag fand eine Versteigerung statt, was immer eine ausgezeichnete Tradition ist und definitiv eine Attraktion für etablierte und potenzielle Kampffischzüchter oder einfach nur für Bewunderer dieser eigenartigen Fische ist. Eine weitere große Attraktion, um an der Veranstaltung teilzunehmen, und ich gebe zu, für mich viel größer, da ich bereits viele Kampffischausstellungen gesehen habe, war die Ausstellung aus der Gruppe der Wirbellosen: Flusskrebse, Krabben und Garnelen. Ich habe mich besonders auf die Krabben gefreut. Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht; die präsentierten Tiere sprachen mich an. Ebenso schien die Installation der Ausstellung, die Anordnung, ästhetisch ansprechend und funktional effektiv zu sein.
Organizátori aj tento krát pripravili prednášky, ktoré mali páni Norbert Dokoupil a Norman Durný. Nie som si istý presne témami – sám som predával, čiže prednášok som sa bohužiaľ opäť nezúčastnil. Pán Dokoupil prednášal svoje “Neučesané myšlienky o živorodkách” a pán Durný prednášal o krevetkách. Deti, ale aj dospelí mali možnosť vyfarbovať “akvaristické” omaľovánky. Burza, alebo ak chcete akvatrhy, bola čo sa týka počtu predajcov zatiaľ za éru klubu.akva.sk najpočetnejšia (snáď cez 35 predajcov). Pri rozhovoroch sme sa zhodli, že ponuka bola naozaj veľmi dobrá a snáď si takmer každý návštevník mohol vybrať k spokojnosti. Z môjho pohľadu chovateľa a aj akvaristu som o tom presvedčený. Navyše si myslím, že aj keď prišiel cez Akvajeseň 2009 nejaký návštevník, ktorý v Ružinove nikoho nepoznal, mal veľmi dobrú možnosť pobaviť sa a vnímať ochotu sa podeliť o skúsenosti, riešiť najrôznejšie problémy, získať potrebné kontakty apod. Aj z hľadiska druhu tovarov (krmivo, technika, ryby, rastliny atď.) sa ponuka pekne zaobľuje, kompletizuje, dokonca už hádam aj možno vravieť o vnímateľnej konkurencii. Tento krát však musím priznať, že ponuka rastlín bola o poznanie slabšia než v minulosti. Ako som už načrtol, akcie podobného typu majú v sebe pre aktívnejších zúčastnených aj spoločenský charakter. Jednak sa zídu rôzni chovatelia, známi z rôznych končín, ktorí sa potom navštevujú aj doma, v chovniach apod., a jednak organizátor často poskytne možnosť spoznať sa aj ľudom “nanovo”. Akvajeseň 2009 bola tým správnym areálom rozšírenia typovo podobných, prípadne vzájomne sa priťahujúcich ľudí. Ja sám som registroval napr. pánov Dočekala, Balnara, Csongára, Trunkvaltera, Bydžovského, Slabocha, Kačenu, Chmelařa, Frimla, Vetráka, Konôpku, Burgera a mnohých ďalších, ktorí sa rôznym spôsobom podieľali na podujatí. Klub.akva.sk plánovane pripravil na sobotu večer 3.10.2009, pár metrov od priestoru výstavy (pod rovnakou strechou), v spolupráci s miestnym podnikom, spoločenský priestor pre pobavenie. Klobáska bola vraj “prvotřídní, exkluzivní” a ja s tým musím súhlasiť, pivo, kofola a iné dobroty pevne verím, že chutili tiež. Preberalo sa všetko možné, dôležitá bola pohodová nálada. Ja som bohužiaľ musel veľmi skoro odísť, ale mám informácie, a na začiatku ma snáď moje oči a uši neklamali, že sa tam vystriedalo do tretej nad ránom možno 40 – 50 akvapozitívnych ľudí. A, že bolo veselo, je hádam všetkým jasné.
Organizers once again prepared lectures, this time conducted by Mr. Norbert Dokoupil and Mr. Norman Durný. I’m not exactly sure about the topics – I was selling myself, so unfortunately, I didn’t attend the lectures again. Mr. Dokoupil lectured on his “Unkempt Thoughts on Livebearers” and Mr. Durný lectured on shrimp. Children, as well as adults, had the opportunity to color “aquaristic” coloring pages. The exchange, or if you prefer, the aqua market, had the highest number of sellers so far in the era of klub.akva.sk (perhaps over 35 sellers). In conversations, we agreed that the offer was really good, and almost every visitor could choose to their satisfaction. From my perspective as a breeder and also an aquarist, I am convinced of this. Moreover, I believe that even if a visitor who didn’t know anyone in Ružinov came through Aquatic Autumn 2009, they had a very good opportunity to have fun, perceive the willingness to share experiences, solve various problems, gain necessary contacts, etc. Also in terms of the variety of goods (feed, equipment, fish, plants, etc.), the offer is nicely rounding out, completing, and perhaps even one could now speak of noticeable competition. However, this time I must admit that the offer of plants was noticeably weaker than in the past. As I have outlined, events of a similar type have a social character for more active participants. On the one hand, various breeders gather, acquaintances from various corners, who then visit each other at home, in breeding facilities, etc., and on the other hand, the organizer often provides an opportunity to meet people “anew.” Aquatic Autumn 2009 was the right venue for expanding the circle of similar types, or mutually attractive, people. I myself registered, for example, Messrs. Dočekal, Balnar, Csongár, Trunkvalter, Bydžovský, Slaboch, Kačena, Chmelař, Friml, Vetrák, Konôpka, Burger, and many others who contributed to the event in various ways. Klub.akva.sk planned to prepare a social space for entertainment on the evening of Saturday, October 3, 2009, a few meters from the exhibition space (under the same roof), in cooperation with a local company. The sausage was reportedly “first-class, exclusive,” and I must agree with that, I firmly believe that the beer, Kofola, and other goodies tasted good too. Everything possible was discussed, and the important thing was the relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately, I had to leave very early, but I have information, and hopefully my eyes and ears didn’t deceive me at the beginning, that there were perhaps 40 – 50 aqua-positive people there until three in the morning. And it was fun, which I think is clear to everyone.
Die Organisatoren haben auch dieses Mal Vorträge vorbereitet, die von Herrn Norbert Dokoupil und Herrn Norman Durný gehalten wurden. Ich bin mir nicht genau über die Themen im Klaren – ich habe selbst verkauft, daher habe ich leider wieder nicht an den Vorträgen teilgenommen. Herr Dokoupil hielt seinen Vortrag über “Ungekämmte Gedanken über Lebendgebärende” und Herr Durný referierte über Garnelen. Kinder sowie Erwachsene hatten die Möglichkeit, “aquaristische” Malvorlagen auszumalen. Der Austausch, oder wenn Sie möchten, der Aqua-Markt, hatte die höchste Anzahl von Verkäufern bisher in der Ära von klub.akva.sk (vielleicht über 35 Verkäufer). In Gesprächen waren wir uns einig, dass das Angebot wirklich gut war und fast jeder Besucher zufrieden sein konnte. Aus meiner Sicht als Züchter und auch als Aquarianer bin ich davon überzeugt. Außerdem glaube ich, dass selbst wenn ein Besucher, der niemanden in Ružinov kannte, während des Aquatischen Herbstes 2009 kam, er eine sehr gute Gelegenheit hatte, Spaß zu haben, die Bereitschaft zum Austausch von Erfahrungen wahrzunehmen, verschiedene Probleme zu lösen, notwendige Kontakte zu knüpfen usw. Auch in Bezug auf die Vielfalt der Waren (Futter, Ausrüstung, Fische, Pflanzen usw.) rundet das Angebot sich schön ab, vervollständigt sich und vielleicht kann man jetzt sogar von einer spürbaren Konkurrenz sprechen. Diesmal muss ich jedoch zugeben, dass das Angebot an Pflanzen auffällig schwächer war als in der Vergangenheit. Wie ich skizziert habe, haben Veranstaltungen ähnlicher Art einen sozialen Charakter für aktivere Teilnehmer. Einerseits versammeln sich verschiedene Züchter, Bekannte aus verschiedenen Ecken, die sich dann gegenseitig zu Hause, in Zuchteinrichtungen usw. besuchen, und andererseits bietet der Organisator oft die Möglichkeit, Menschen “neu” kennenzulernen. Der Aquatische Herbst 2009 war der richtige Ort, um den Kreis ähnlicher Typen oder gegenseitig attraktiver Menschen zu erweitern. Ich selbst habe beispielsweise registriert, dass Herren Dočekal, Balnar, Csongár, Trunkvalter, Bydžovský, Slaboch, Kačena, Chmelař, Friml, Vetrák, Konôpka, Burger und viele andere auf unterschiedliche Weise zum Ereignis beigetragen haben. Klub.akva.sk plante, einen gesellschaftlichen Raum zur Unterhaltung am Abend des Samstag, 3. Oktober 2009, nur wenige Meter vom Ausstellungsbereich entfernt (unter demselben Dach), in Zusammenarbeit mit einem örtlichen Unternehmen vorzubereiten. Die Wurst war angeblich “erstklassig, exklusiv”, und dem stimme ich zu, ich bin fest davon überzeugt, dass auch das Bier, Kofola und andere Leckereien gut geschmeckt haben. Alles Mögliche wurde diskutiert, und das Wichtige war die entspannte Atmosphäre. Leider musste ich sehr früh gehen, aber ich habe Informationen, und hoffentlich haben mich meine Augen und Ohren am Anfang nicht getäuscht, dass dort bis drei Uhr morgens vielleicht 40 – 50 aquapositive Menschen waren. Und es hat Spaß gemacht, was ich denke, ist für jeden offensichtlich.
25. – 26.4.2009 bola v Bratislave výstava venovaná rybám Južnej Ameriky s názvom Perly Amazónie. Počas prednáškového popoludnia rozprával Josef Ešpandr a svojej “Ceste do neznáma” – Južná Amerika a Markéta Rejlková na tému “Čierne vody Južnej Ameriky – na vlastnej koži a v akváriu”.
Aquarium Spring 2009
On April 25th-26th, 2009, there was an exhibition in Bratislava dedicated to the fish of South America called Pearls of the Amazon. During the afternoon of lectures, Josef Ešpandr spoke about his “Journey into the Unknown” – South America, and Markéta Rejlková talked about “Black Waters of South America – Firsthand Experience and in the Aquarium.”
Aquarium Frühling 2009
Am 25. – 26. April 2009 fand in Bratislava eine Ausstellung statt, die den Fischen Südamerikas gewidmet war und den Titel “Perlen des Amazonas” trug. Während des Nachmittags der Vorträge sprach Josef Ešpandr über seine “Reise ins Unbekannte” – Südamerika, und Markéta Rejlková referierte über “Die Schwarzen Gewässer Südamerikas – hautnah und im Aquarium”.
29.11. – 30.11.2008 usporiadal klub.akva.sk 2. ročník súťaže miniakvárií. Výstava to bola pekná, aj účasť naznačila, že táto myšlienka má budúcnosť. 31 “miničiek” súťažilo o priazeň poroty, aj divákov. Mne sa veľmi páčili kompozície Khana. Utkvelo mi v pamäti, že súťažil zo štyrmi miničkami. Tri z nich sa mi páčili, jedno veľmi. Dve akvária medzi miničkami boli tentokrát aj morské. Hneď po vstupe do priestoru DK Ružinov boli na stojanoch krásne 200 litrové akváriá, ktoré reprezentovali “Výstavu vodných rastlín”. Musím uznať, že akvária boli zariadené pekne. Myslím, že to bol dobrý ťah aj od organizátora, Návštevníka upútali hneď na začiatku. V rámci “Akvatrhov” som postrehol vyššiu účasť slovenských chovateľov a firiem. Uvítali sme medzi nami aj pána Chmelařa z Hradca Králové, ktorí “u nás” predávali ryby. Okrem iného sa dali kúpiť na trhoch aj menšie nové akváriá. Na piatich paneloch boli vystavené fotografie. Zväčša boli na nich vodné rastliny a miniakvária. Deti si opäť vymaľovávali, myslím teda, že bolo načim tento víkend prísť do Ružinova na Akvaristickú zimu.
Aquarium Winter 2008
On November 29th-30th, 2008, klub.akva.sk organized the 2nd edition of the mini aquarium competition. The exhibition was beautiful, and the attendance indicated that this idea has a future. 31 “mini aquariums” competed for the favor of the jury and the audience. I particularly liked Khan’s compositions. It stuck in my memory that he competed with four mini aquariums. Three of them appealed to me, one very much so. Two of the aquariums among the miniatures were marine this time. Right after entering the DK Ružinov space, there were beautiful 200-liter aquariums on stands representing the “Water Plant Exhibition.” I must admit that the aquariums were nicely arranged. I think it was a good move from the organizer to attract the visitors right from the beginning. As part of the “Aquarium Market,” I noticed a higher participation of Slovak breeders and companies. Among us, we also welcomed Mr. Chmelař from Hradec Králové, who sold fish “here.” Among other things, smaller new aquariums could also be purchased at the markets. Photographs were exhibited on five panels. Mostly, they featured aquatic plants and mini aquariums. Children again had the opportunity to paint, so I think it was worth coming to Ružinov for Aquarium Winter this weekend.
Aquarium Winter 2008
Am 29. – 30. November 2008 organisierte klub.akva.sk die 2. Auflage des Mini-Aquarien-Wettbewerbs. Die Ausstellung war wunderschön, und die Teilnahme deutete darauf hin, dass diese Idee Zukunft hat. 31 “Mini-Aquarien” konkurrierten um die Gunst der Jury und des Publikums. Besonders gut gefielen mir die Kompositionen von Khan. Es ist mir in Erinnerung geblieben, dass er mit vier Mini-Aquarien antrat. Drei von ihnen sprachen mich an, eines besonders. Zwei der Aquarien unter den Miniaturen waren dieses Mal maritim. Direkt nach dem Betreten des Raumes im DK Ružinov standen schöne 200-Liter-Aquarien auf Ständern, die die “Wasserpflanzenausstellung” repräsentierten. Ich muss zugeben, dass die Aquarien schön arrangiert waren. Ich denke, es war ein kluger Schachzug des Veranstalters, die Besucher gleich zu Beginn anzulocken. Im Rahmen des “Aquarienmarkts” bemerkte ich eine höhere Beteiligung slowakischer Züchter und Unternehmen. Unter uns begrüßten wir auch Herrn Chmelař aus Hradec Králové, der “hier” Fische verkaufte. Unter anderem konnten auch kleinere neue Aquarien auf den Märkten gekauft werden. Auf fünf Paneelen wurden Fotografien ausgestellt. Meistens waren darauf Wasserpflanzen und Mini-Aquarien zu sehen. Kinder hatten wieder die Möglichkeit zu malen, daher denke ich, dass es sich gelohnt hat, an diesem Wochenende nach Ružinov zur Aquarium Winter zu kommen.
Klub.akva.sk usporiadal v dňoch 11. – 12.10.2008 Akvaristickú jeseň. Tradične v Dome kultúry v Ružinove v Bratislave na Ružinovskej 2008. Hlavný programom podujatia boli Majstrovstvá Európy Guppy párov a Klubová výstava divokých živorodiek. Zvedavých na našu akciu bolo cca 700 návštevníkov. Bola pre nás veľká česť usporiadať ME Guppy párov, sme predsa len ešte mladý klub a dostali sme dôveru usporiadať finálové 4. kolo. Súťaže gupiek majú veľkú tradíciu po celom svete, v rámci Európy sa koná každý rok zhruba sedem kôl v kategórii Guppy triá. Tri samčekovia tvoria jednu kolekciu. My sme usporiadali Guppy páry, kde kolekciu tvorí samček a samička. Pre triá platí, že z konaných výstav sa sčítajú najlepšie štyri výsledky chovateľa a podľa toho sa určí celkové poradie. Tieto výstavy musia byť dopredu uznané ako kolá v rámci ME. Pre páry pred rokom 2008 platilo, že sa nikdy neusporiadalo viac ako dve výstavy do roka. Dve výstavy je minimálny počet na to, aby sa vyhlasovalo poradie ME. Tento rok, 2008, bude možno prelomový, pretože sa podarilo uskutočniť štyri výstavy Guppy páry. Pred našou finálovou výstavou v Bratislave bolo prvé kolo v poľskej Bielsko-Bialej, v Banskej Bystrici a v Ostrave. Hodnotenie gupiek sa riadi podľa štandardu IKGH, čo je medzinárodná organizácia, ktorá zastrešuje súťažné výstavy gupiek. Aj celkovú oficiálnu výsledkovú listinu musí zostaviť IKGH. Okrem výstav gupiek v rámci ME sa koná každý rok aj niekoľko ďalších výstav, ktoré sa nezaratúvajú do celkových výsledkov.
My sme mali tú česť, že sa našej výstavy osobne zúčastnilo niekoľko súťažiacich, ktorí skončili na popredných miestach v rámci celej súťaže Guppy párov za rok 2008. Konkrétne sme medzi nami radi privítali Boguslawa Micinského, Ivana Krouského, Josefa Felta, Jaroslava Baleju, Milana Vetráka, Mariána Stieranku, Jána Budaia, Vladimíra Protivu, Miroslava Konôpku a Richarda Tokuševa. Teší nás, že všetci víťazi v jednotlivých kategóriach boli na našej výstave osobne – páni Micinski, Protiva a Tokušev. Členovia nášho klubu nevyšli naprázdno. Ivan Vyslúžil, ktorý síce súťaži za SZCH skončil medzi veľkoplutvými celkovo na 6. mieste. Braňo Barčin skončil tesne za ním. Braňo sa umiestnil aj medzi krátkoplutvými – na 6. mieste. Milan Líbal skončil v tejto kategórii jedenásty. Braňo sa umiestnil aj v rámci mečíkatých na 3. mieste. Víťazom aj umiestneným gratulujeme a želáme im veľa ďalších úspechov. Pevne verím, že sme sa uviedli do európskej gupkárskej spoločnosti dobre. Vedúcim výstavy bol Branislav Barčin (KAS-SK). Medzinárodného pozorovateľa robil Miroslav Konôpka (SZCH-SK). Posudzovali: Boguslaw Micinski (KPR-PL), Marián Stieranka (SZCH-SK), Jaroslav Baleja (CKG-CZ), Vladimír Protiva (IRIS-CZ) a na moju veľkú radosť aj ja – Peter Kaclík (KAS-SK). Klasifikovali sme 114 kolekcií. Dve kolekcie boli diskvalifikované, 8 kolekcií uhynulo pri transporte. Výstavy sa zúčastnilo 34 chovateľov z deviatich klubov z Poľska, Česka, Talianska a Slovenska. Traja účastníci boli bez klubovej príslušnosti. Akvária s gupkami boli umiestnené dobre, páčilo sa mi aj solídne osvetlenie.
Aquarium Autumn 2008
Klub.akva.sk organized the Aquarium Autumn on October 11th-12th, 2008. Traditionally held at the House of Culture in Ružinov, Bratislava, on Ružinovská Street 2008. The main events of the program were the European Guppy Pairs Championship and the Club Exhibition of Wild Livebearers. Approximately 700 visitors were curious about our event. It was a great honor for us to organize the European Guppy Pairs Championship; after all, we are still a young club and we were entrusted with organizing the final 4th round. Guppy competitions have a long tradition worldwide, and in Europe, about seven rounds of Guppy trios are held every year. Three males constitute one collection. We organized Guppy pairs, where a collection consists of a male and a female. For trios, the best four results of the breeder from the held exhibitions are added up, and the overall ranking is determined accordingly. These exhibitions must be recognized in advance as rounds within the European Championship. Until 2008, pairs were subject to the rule that no more than two exhibitions per year were held. Two exhibitions are the minimum number for declaring the European Championship rankings. This year, 2008, might be a breakthrough because four Guppy pairs exhibitions were successfully held. Before our final exhibition in Bratislava, the first round took place in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, in Banská Bystrica, and in Ostrava. Guppy evaluation is based on the IKGH standard, which is the international organization overseeing competitive Guppy exhibitions. The overall official results list must also be compiled by IKGH. In addition to Guppy exhibitions within the European Championship, several other exhibitions are held annually, which do not count towards the overall results.
We had the honor of having several contestants who finished in top positions in the Guppy pairs competition for the year 2008 personally attend our exhibition. Specifically, we were pleased to welcome among us Boguslaw Micinski, Ivan Krouský, Josef Felt, Jaroslav Baleja, Milan Vetrák, Marián Stieranka, Ján Budai, Vladimír Protiva, Miroslav Konôpka, and Richard Tokusev. We are delighted that all the winners in the individual categories attended our exhibition personally – Mr. Micinski, Protiva, and Tokusev. Members of our club did not leave empty-handed. Ivan Vyslúžil, who competes for SZCH, finished 6th overall among the big-finned. Braňo Barčin finished just behind him. Braňo also placed among the short-finned – in 6th place. Milan Líbal finished eleventh in this category. Braňo also placed third among the swordtails. Congratulations to the winners and placed contestants, and we wish them many more successes. I firmly believe that we have made a good impression in the European Guppy community. The exhibition was led by Branislav Barčin (KAS-SK). Miroslav Konôpka (SZCH-SK) served as the international observer. The judges were: Boguslaw Micinski (KPR-PL), Marián Stieranka (SZCH-SK), Jaroslav Baleja (CKG-CZ), Vladimír Protiva (IRIS-CZ), and much to my delight, myself – Peter Kaclík (KAS-SK). We judged 114 collections. Two collections were disqualified, and 8 collections perished during transport. The exhibition was attended by 34 breeders from nine clubs from Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, and Slovakia. Three participants were without club affiliation. The aquariums with guppies were well placed, and I also liked the solid lighting.
Aquarium Herbst 2008
Klub.akva.sk veranstaltete am 11. – 12. Oktober 2008 den Aquarium Herbst. Traditionell fand dies im Kulturhaus in Ružinov, Bratislava, in der Ružinovská-Straße 2008 statt. Die Hauptveranstaltungen des Programms waren die Europameisterschaft im Guppy-Paare und die Clubausstellung von Wilden Lebendgebärenden. Etwa 700 Besucher waren neugierig auf unser Event. Es war uns eine große Ehre, die Europameisterschaft im Guppy-Paare zu organisieren; schließlich sind wir immer noch ein junger Verein und wir wurden damit betraut, die letzte 4. Runde zu organisieren. Guppy-Wettbewerbe haben weltweit eine lange Tradition, und in Europa finden jedes Jahr etwa sieben Runden von Guppy-Trios statt. Drei Männchen bilden eine Sammlung. Wir haben Guppy-Paare organisiert, bei denen eine Sammlung aus einem Männchen und einem Weibchen besteht. Bei Trios werden die vier besten Ergebnisse des Züchters aus den durchgeführten Ausstellungen addiert, und die Gesamtwertung wird entsprechend bestimmt. Diese Ausstellungen müssen im Voraus als Runden innerhalb der Europameisterschaft anerkannt werden. Bis 2008 unterlagen Paare der Regel, dass nicht mehr als zwei Ausstellungen pro Jahr stattfinden durften. Zwei Ausstellungen sind die Mindestanzahl für die Festlegung der europäischen Meisterschaftsrangliste. Dieses Jahr, 2008, könnte ein Durchbruch sein, weil erfolgreich vier Guppy-Paarausstellungen abgehalten wurden. Vor unserer finalen Ausstellung in Bratislava fand die erste Runde in Bielsko-Biała, Polen, in Banská Bystrica und in Ostrava statt. Die Bewertung der Guppies erfolgt nach dem IKGH-Standard, der die internationale Organisation für wettbewerbsfähige Guppy-Ausstellungen ist. Die offizielle Gesamtergebnisliste muss ebenfalls von der IKGH erstellt werden. Neben den Guppy-Ausstellungen innerhalb der Europameisterschaft finden jährlich auch mehrere andere Ausstellungen statt, die nicht in die Gesamtergebnisse einfließen.
Wir hatten die Ehre, dass mehrere Teilnehmer, die in der Guppy-Paare-Wettbewerb für das Jahr 2008 in den vorderen Positionen landeten, persönlich an unserer Ausstellung teilnahmen. Insbesondere freuten wir uns, unter uns Boguslaw Micinski, Ivan Krouský, Josef Felt, Jaroslav Baleja, Milan Vetrák, Marián Stieranka, Ján Budai, Vladimír Protiva, Miroslav Konôpka und Richard Tokusev begrüßen zu dürfen. Wir freuen uns, dass alle Gewinner in den einzelnen Kategorien persönlich an unserer Ausstellung teilnahmen – Herr Micinski, Protiva und Tokusev. Die Mitglieder unseres Clubs gingen nicht leer aus. Ivan Vyslúžil, der für SZCH antritt, belegte insgesamt den 6. Platz unter den Großflossen. Braňo Barčin landete knapp dahinter. Braňo platzierte sich auch unter den Kurzflossen – auf dem 6. Platz. Milan Líbal belegte in dieser Kategorie den elften Platz. Braňo platzierte sich auch unter den Schwertträgern auf dem 3. Platz. Herzlichen Glückwunsch an die Gewinner und platzierten Teilnehmer, und wir wünschen ihnen viele weitere Erfolge. Ich bin fest davon überzeugt, dass wir einen guten Eindruck in der europäischen Guppy-Gemeinschaft hinterlassen haben. Die Ausstellung wurde von Branislav Barčin (KAS-SK) geleitet. Miroslav Konôpka (SZCH-SK) fungierte als internationaler Beobachter. Die Richter waren: Boguslaw Micinski (KPR-PL), Marián Stieranka (SZCH-SK), Jaroslav Baleja (CKG-CZ), Vladimír Protiva (IRIS-CZ) und zu meiner großen Freude auch ich – Peter Kaclík (KAS-SK). Wir bewerteten 114 Sammlungen. Zwei Sammlungen wurden disqualifiziert, und 8 Sammlungen starben während des Transports. Druhou výstavou, ktorú sme pripravili, bola klubová výstava divokých živorodiek. Ide z veľkej časti o tzv. nefarebné, komerčne, predovšetkým u nás, nezaujímavé druhy. Ich farebnosť a charakter skôr ocení zanietený akvarista, fajnšmeker, prípadne uvedomelý návštevník. Zaujímavé je aj to, že mnohé z týchto druhov, už nežijú ani v prírode. Dokonca niekedy neexistujú ani biotopy, v ktorých sa pôvodne vyskytovali, čiže často nie je v prírode ani čo chrániť. Častokrát ide o endemické druhy. Klub.akva.sk prezentoval na výstave 41 druhov a foriem divokých živorodiek. Z môjho pohľadu šlo o chvályhodnú a unikátnu výstavu. Akvária, v ktorých boli tieto nádherné ryby, boli zariadené s dnom so živými vodnými rastlinami, s filtráciou a boli účinne nasvietené. Ich krásu môžete posúdiť podľa fotografií. Divoké živorodky – prírodné formy živorodiek, ktoré sme vystavovali, pochádzali z Mexika, Guatemaly, Hondurasu, Kolumbie, Trinidadu, Haiti, Jamajky, Nikaraguy, Venezuely, Panamy, Brazílie, Uruguaju, Argentíny, Dominikánskej republiky, Kuby, Thajska, Malajzie, Indonézie, Sulawesi, Filipín, Floridy a Georgie.
Exhibition of Wild Livebearers
The second exhibition we prepared was the club exhibition of wild livebearers. These are largely what are known as non-colored, commercially uninteresting species, especially here. Their color and character are appreciated more by dedicated aquarists, connoisseurs, or aware visitors. Interestingly, many of these species no longer exist in the wild. Sometimes, there are no longer even biotopes in which they originally occurred, so there is often nothing to protect in nature. They are often endemic species. Klub.akva.sk presented 41 species and forms of wild livebearers at the exhibition. From my point of view, it was a commendable and unique exhibition. The aquariums containing these beautiful fish were equipped with live aquatic plants at the bottom, filtration, and were effectively illuminated. You can judge their beauty from the photographs. Wild livebearers – natural forms of livebearers that we exhibited, came from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Trinidad, Haiti, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Panama, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sulawesi, the Philippines, Florida, and Georgia.
Ausstellung von Wild lebenden Lebendgebärenden
Die zweite Ausstellung, die wir vorbereitet haben, war die Vereinsausstellung von wild lebenden Lebendgebärenden. Dies sind größtenteils das, was als nicht gefärbte, kommerziell uninteressante Arten bekannt ist, insbesondere hier. Ihre Farbe und ihr Charakter werden von engagierten Aquarianern, Kennern oder aufmerksamen Besuchern eher geschätzt. Interessanterweise existieren viele dieser Arten nicht mehr in freier Wildbahn. Manchmal gibt es nicht einmal mehr Biotope, in denen sie ursprünglich vorkamen, sodass es in der Natur oft nichts mehr zu schützen gibt. Sie sind oft endemische Arten. Klub.akva.sk präsentierte auf der Ausstellung 41 Arten und Formen von wild lebenden Lebendgebärenden. Aus meiner Sicht war es eine lobenswerte und einzigartige Ausstellung. Die Aquarien, die diese schönen Fische enthielten, waren mit lebenden Wasserpflanzen am Boden, Filtration und effektiver Beleuchtung ausgestattet. Ihre Schönheit können Sie anhand der Fotos beurteilen. Súčasťou podujatia boli aj tentokrát Akvatrhy. Ponuka bola tentokrát lepšia, pravdepodobne najlepšia doteraz. Kúpiť sa dala akvaristická technika príslušenstvo, slušný počet druhov rýb, vodné rastliny, krmivá, liečivá. Kto chcel napr. zariadiť akvárium, vedeli sme ho odporučiť. Rovnako ak niekto potreboval vybaviť starostlivosť o akvárium napr. vo svojej reštaurácii. K dispozícii pre návštevníkov boli omáľovanky, tie pravda využili najmä deti. Návštevníci mohli vyhrať aj darčeky, konkrétne akvaristický tovar od firiem ZOODOM, AKVAPRODUKT, FYTOSEL, AMAZONPETSHOP, SERA, JOZEFKOBLASA, EXOTHOBBY a AQUA-PLECO. V sobotu poobede prebehli prednášky. Najprv Marián Stieranka hovoril o farebnej variabilite gupiek, neskôr Vladimír Fábry rozprával o Francúzskej Guayane. V sobotu večer sme zorganizovali spoločenské posedenie pre pozvaných hostí. Myslím si, že návštevníci aj my sami sme odchádzali z Akvaristickej jesene spokojní. Posunuli sme sa opäť dopredu.

Those who wanted to set up an aquarium, for example, knew where to turn. Similarly, if someone needed to equip the care of an aquarium, perhaps in their restaurant. Coloring books were available for visitors, which were mainly used by children. Visitors could also win prizes, specifically aquarium supplies from companies such as ZOODOM, AKVAPRODUKT, FYTOSEL, AMAZONPETSHOP, SERA, JOZEFKOBLASA, EXOTHOBBY, and AQUA-PLECO. Lectures took place on Saturday afternoon. First, Marian Stieranka spoke about the color variability of guppies, and later, Vladimír Fábry talked about French Guiana. On Saturday evening, we organized a social gathering for invited guests. I think both visitors and ourselves left the Aquarium Autumn satisfied. We have moved forward again.
Die Veranstaltung umfasste auch dieses Mal Aquatrades. Die Auswahl war dieses Mal besser, wahrscheinlich die bisher beste. Aquariumtechnologie, Zubehör, eine anständige Vielfalt an Fischarten, Wasserpflanzen, Futter und Medikamente waren zum Kauf erhältlich. Diejenigen, die zum Beispiel ein Aquarium einrichten wollten, wussten, wohin sie sich wenden konnten. Ebenso, wenn jemand die Betreuung eines Aquariums, vielleicht in seinem Restaurant, ausstatten musste. Malbücher standen für die Besucher zur Verfügung, die hauptsächlich von Kindern genutzt wurden. Die Besucher konnten auch Preise gewinnen, insbesondere Aquaristikbedarf von Unternehmen wie ZOODOM, AKVAPRODUKT, FYTOSEL, AMAZONPETSHOP, SERA, JOZEFKOBLASA, EXOTHOBBY und AQUA-PLECO. Am Samstagnachmittag fanden Vorträge statt. Zunächst sprach Marian Stieranka über die Farbvariabilität von Guppys, und später referierte Vladimír Fábry über Französisch-Guayana. Am Samstagabend organisierten wir ein geselliges Beisammensein für eingeladene Gäste. Ich denke, sowohl die Besucher als auch wir selbst verließen den Aquarium Herbst zufrieden. Wir haben uns wieder vorwärts bewegt.
Akvaristické leto 2008 – Medzinárodná výstava bojovníc a výstava cichlíd
Na posledný májový víkend (31.5−1.6) sme si v klube.akva.sk naplánovali našu tohtoročnú hlavnú letnú akciu. Táto akcia nám dala zabrať. Letné horúčavy k nám dorazili a bohužiaľ dorazili trochu aj našich potenciálnych návštevníkov, ktorých prišlo menej ako sme očakávali. Zhruba 550 ľudí sa prišlo pozrieť na to, čo sme pre nich pripravili. Medzi nimi bolo veľmi veľa hostí z Čiech, ako napr. Franta Csefay z Brna, Roman Slaboch z Prahy, Pavel Hemžal z Otrokovíc, Zdeněk Dočekal, Luboš Ghul, Zdeněk Havel, Luboš Hartman so Žďáru nad Sázavou, Ladislav Kotnauer, Ladislav Dušek, Jozef Moc z Českých Budějovíc, Honza Burzanovský, Radek Blaško z Úval. Bolo vidno, že sa u nás cítili dobre, dokonca som mal dojem, že oni medzi sebou nestíhali spolu komunikovať. Oveľa viac návštevníkov ako inokedy na nás hovorilo nemecky, miestami anglicky. Jeden stôl na burze bol rakúsky. Hlavným motívom akcie bola tentokrát medzinárodná výstava bojovníc. Deň pred otvorením podujatia pre verejnosť prebehlo posudzovanie 142 kolekcií. Je to značný počet, takže sa posudzovalo celý deň až do večera. Podľa štandardu ČLA. Posudzovali naši priatelia z Martina – Boris Burger (SZCH) a Ľudovít Fujko (SZCH), k nim sa pridal Ján Pavlovič (ČLA). Medzinárodným pozorovateľom bol Miloslav Pešek (KAS). Ryby pochádzali z Poľska, Rakúska, Česka a Slovenska – 142 kolekcií od 30 chovateľov. Náš klub – KAS/SK – zastupovali 4 chovatelia so 43 kolekciami, SZCH/SK 12⁄21, ČLA/CZ 2⁄20, ČLA/SK 2⁄9, PTAT/PL 6⁄10, DISKUS/AT 1⁄4, EHBBC/AT 1⁄21 a 2 chovatelia zo Slovenska s 9 kolekciami nie sú v žiadnom spolku. Celkovým víťazom sa stal Hristo AtanasovEHBBC/AT s 87 bodmi. Na druhom mieste skončil Miloslav PešekKAS/SK – 86 bodov, bronzový stupienok obsadil Milan LíbalKAS/SK s 85 bodmi.
Aquarium Summer 2008 – International Betta Show and Cichlid Exhibition
On the last weekend of May (May 31 – June 1), we planned our main summer event at klub.akva.sk. This event was quite challenging for us. The summer heat arrived, unfortunately affecting the attendance of our potential visitors, who came in fewer numbers than expected. Approximately 550 people came to see what we had prepared for them. Among them were many guests from the Czech Republic, such as Franta Csefay from Brno, Roman Slaboch from Prague, Pavel Hemžal from Otrokovice, Zdeněk Dočekal, Luboš Ghul, Zdeněk Havel, Luboš Hartman from Žďár nad Sázavou, Ladislav Kotnauer, Ladislav Dušek, Jozef Moc from České Budějovice, Honza Burzanovský, Radek Blaško from Úval. It was evident that they felt comfortable with us; in fact, I had the impression that they were barely able to communicate among themselves. Many more visitors than usual were speaking German to us, and occasionally English. One table at the trade show was Austrian. The main theme of the event this time was the international Betta show. The day before the event opened to the public, judging of 142 collections took place. It was a significant number, so judging went on all day until the evening. According to the standards of ČLA. Our friends from Martin – Boris Burger (SZCH) and Ľudovít Fujko (SZCH) – were judging, joined by Ján Pavlovič (ČLA). The international observer was Miloslav Pešek (KAS). The fish came from Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, and Slovakia – 142 collections from 30 breeders. Our club – KAS/SK – was represented by 4 breeders with 43 collections, SZCH/SK 12⁄21, ČLA/CZ 2⁄20, ČLA/SK 2⁄9, PTAT/PL 6⁄10, DISKUS/AT 1⁄4, EHBBC/AT 1⁄21, and 2 breeders from Slovakia with 9 collections are not part of any association. The overall winner was Hristo Atanasov EHBBC/AT with 87 points. Second place went to Miloslav Pešek KAS/SK – 86 points, and the bronze medal went to Milan Líbal KAS/SK with 85 points.

Bojovnice sa v nedeľu na obed dražili. Sprievodnou výstavou bola výstava cichlíd, kde sme ponúkli návštevníkom americké a africké cichlidy. Konkrétne tieto druhy: Nannacara anomala, Nannacara taenia, Pterophyllum scalarae, Cleithracara maronii, Dicrossus maculatus, Heros severus, Apistogramma trifasciata, Apistogramma hongsloi, Apistogramma viejita, Labidochromis caeruleus, Melanochromis cyaneorhabdos, Maylandia estherae Marmalade Cat. Nádrže s cichlidami boli celkom pekne zariadené a niektoré ryby sa ukázali v krásnych farbách. Ukážky rýb, nádrží nájdete medzi fotografiami. Prednášky prebehli ako býva dobrým zvykom v sobotu po 13-ej. Prvú mal Vladko Bydžovský o amerických cichlidách a druhú mala Markéta Rejlková o Mexiku. Samozrejmosťou bola burza, tento raz v menšom rozsahu. Na paneloch boli umiestnené fotografie, ktoré dotvárali atmosféru vystavovaných rýb (bojovníc a cichlíd) a predznačovali, čo nás čaká – gupky na Akvaristickej jeseni. Okrem toho sa tam nachádzalo asi 20 fotografií zo života nášho klubu, našich členov, ktorí brázdia výstavy, burzy, chovne a pod.
The bettas were auctioned off on Sunday at noon. As a side exhibition, there was a display of cichlids, offering visitors American and African cichlids. Specifically, these species were showcased: Nannacara anomala, Nannacara taenia, Pterophyllum scalare, Cleithracara maronii, Dicrossus maculatus, Heros severus, Apistogramma trifasciata, Apistogramma hongsloi, Apistogramma viejita, Labidochromis caeruleus, Melanochromis cyaneorhabdos, Maylandia estherae Marmalade Cat. The tanks with the cichlids were quite nicely set up, and some fish displayed beautiful colors. Examples of fish and tanks can be found among the photos. The lectures took place as usual on Saturday around 1 p.m. The first one was given by Vladko Bydžovský on American cichlids, and the second one was by Markéta Rejlková on Mexico. Naturally, there was also a market, albeit on a smaller scale this time. On the panels, there were photos that conveyed the atmosphere of the exhibited fish (bettas and cichlids) and hinted at what to expect – guppies at the Autumn Aquaristics. Additionally, there were about 20 photos from the life of our club, our members who visit exhibitions, markets, breedings, etc.
Die Kampffische wurden am Sonntagmittag versteigert. Als Begleitausstellung gab es eine Ausstellung von Buntbarschen, bei der den Besuchern amerikanische und afrikanische Buntbarsche angeboten wurden. Konkret waren dies diese Arten: Nannacara anomala, Nannacara taenia, Pterophyllum scalare, Cleithracara maronii, Dicrossus maculatus, Heros severus, Apistogramma trifasciata, Apistogramma hongsloi, Apistogramma viejita, Labidochromis caeruleus, Melanochromis cyaneorhabdos, Maylandia estherae Marmalade Cat. Die Becken mit den Buntbarschen waren recht gut eingerichtet und einige Fische zeigten sich in wunderschönen Farben. Beispiele für Fische und Becken finden Sie zwischen den Fotos. Die Vorträge fanden wie üblich am Samstag gegen 13 Uhr statt. Den ersten hielt Vladko Bydžovský über amerikanische Buntbarsche und den zweiten hielt Markéta Rejlková über Mexiko. Selbstverständlich gab es auch einen Markt, dieses Mal jedoch in kleinerem Umfang. An den Wänden waren Fotos angebracht, die die Atmosphäre der ausgestellten Fische (Kampffische und Buntbarsche) vermittelten und darauf hinwiesen, was uns erwartet – Guppys auf der Herbst-Aquaristik. Darüber hinaus gab es etwa 20 Fotos aus dem Leben unseres Klubs, unserer Mitglieder, die Ausstellungen, Märkte, Zuchten usw. besuchen.
V dňoch 1.3 – 2.3.2008 usporiadal klub.akva.sk usporiadal Akvaristickú jar v Bratislave. Odhadujem, že na podujatie bolo zvedavých približne 900 návštevníkov. Boli sme veľmi radi, že pred otvorením, v sobotu 1. marca, sme videli pred bránami veľa stojacich ľudí, a do 10:00 bolo treba na vstup čakať v rade. Súčasťou akcie bola prednáška venovaná úprave fotografií, ktorú odprezentoval v sobotu poobede Peter Kaclík z klubu.akva.sk. Počas nej sa snažil poukázať na rôzne úskalia fotografovania. Posolstvom prednášky malo byť, že je výhodné poznať možnosti a vedomosti z oblasti fotografie, svetla, farieb apod. Akvatrhy boli tentokrát opäť bohatšie a nielen čo do kvantity, ale aj kvality. Podarilo sa nám prilákať ďalších dvoch predajcov z Čiech, ktorí výrazne obohatili ponuku. V celkovej ponuke pribudli rôzne drobné, ale aj veľké technické pomôcky, ktoré iste ocenil každý skúsený akvarista. Zlepšila sa ponuka krmív, zvýšila sa konkurencia výrobkov. Aj ten, kto si chcel zadovážiť vzácnejšie ryby, alebo rastliny, si mohol prísť na svoje. Nerátal som to množstvo rýb, ale halančíky napr. nie sú bežným artiklom na obdobných akciách a ani v obchode. Po prvýkrát sa na našej akcii objavili vodné rastliny pestované v skleníkoch, napr. veľmi pekné Anubiasy. Z niektorých rastlín spomeniem Aponogeton ulvaceus, A. longiplumulosus, Shinersia sp., Crinum calamistratum, rôzne machy. Hlavným lákadlom bola “Súťaž o najkrajšiu fotografiu” spojená s výstavou fotografií. Za jednotlivé fotografie hlasovali návštevníci Akvaristickej jari. Z nich sme po skončení akcie vylosovali 12 výhercov vecných cien. Fotografickej súťaži predchádzalo hlasovanie na internetovom fóre www.akva.sk. Do súťaže sa prihlásilo X ľudí so 158 fotografiami. Vypísali sme štyri kategórie: Svet rastlín (21 fotografií), Život v akváriu (42), Malý kúsok prírody u nás doma (19), Ty si ale krásavec (76). Celkovým víťazom sa stal Petr Jalový za fotografiu “Akva”, so ziskom 172 bodov. Kompletné výsledky nájdete na . Hore uvedeným súťažiacim venovali vecné ceny firmy Akvashop, Akvaprodukt a Aqua World. Počas konania akcie mali možnosť návštevníci hlasovať za jednotlivé fotografie. Návštevníci odovzdali 158 lístkov. Aj návštevníkom sa najviac páčila fotografia Petra Jalového “Akva”.
Aquarium Spring 2008
On March 1st and 2nd, 2008, klub.akva.sk organized the Aquarium Spring event in Bratislava. We estimate that there were approximately 900 curious visitors at the event. We were very pleased to see many people standing outside the gates before the opening on Saturday, March 1st, and by 10:00, there was a line waiting to enter. As part of the event, there was a lecture on photo editing presented by Peter Kaclík from klub.akva.sk on Saturday afternoon. During the lecture, he aimed to highlight various intricacies of photography. The message of the lecture was that it is advantageous to have knowledge and skills in photography, lighting, colors, etc. The aquarium markets were once again richer, not only in quantity but also in quality. We managed to attract two more vendors from the Czech Republic, significantly enriching the offer. The overall range included various small and large technical aids, which surely were appreciated by every experienced aquarist. The offer of feeds improved, and there was increased competition among products. Even those who wanted to acquire rarer fish or plants could find what they were looking for. I didn’t count the number of fish, but, for example, halančíks are not a common item at similar events or even in stores. For the first time, water plants grown in greenhouses appeared at our event, for example, very beautiful Anubias. Some of the plants mentioned include Aponogeton ulvaceus, A. longiplumulosus, Shinersia sp., Crinum calamistratum, various mosses. The main attraction was the “Most Beautiful Photo Competition” associated with the photo exhibition. Visitors to Aquarium Spring voted for individual photographs. After the event, we drew 12 winners of material prizes. The photographic competition was preceded by voting on the internet forum www.akva.sk. X people submitted 158 photos to the competition. We announced four categories: Plant World (21 photos), Life in the Aquarium (42), A Small Piece of Nature at Home (19), You’re Such a Beauty (76). The overall winner was Petr Jalový for the photograph “Aquarium,” with a total of 172 points. Complete results can be found at [link]. The aforementioned competitors were awarded material prizes from Akvashop, Akvaprodukt, and Aqua World. During the event, visitors had the opportunity to vote for individual photographs. Visitors submitted 158 ballots. The photograph that visitors liked the most was Petr Jalový’s “Aquarium.”
Aquarium Frühling 2008
Am 1. und 2. März 2008 organisierte klub.akva.sk das Aquarium-Frühlingsereignis in Bratislava. Wir schätzen, dass ungefähr 900 neugierige Besucher an der Veranstaltung teilgenommen haben. Wir waren sehr erfreut, viele Menschen vor den Toren stehen zu sehen, bevor sie am Samstag, den 1. März, geöffnet wurden, und um 10:00 Uhr gab es eine Warteschlange zum Eintritt. Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung gab es am Samstagnachmittag einen Vortrag zur Fotobearbeitung, gehalten von Peter Kaclík von klub.akva.sk. Während des Vortrags sollte er auf verschiedene Feinheiten der Fotografie hinweisen. Die Botschaft des Vortrags war, dass es vorteilhaft ist, Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten in der Fotografie, Beleuchtung, Farben usw. zu haben. Die Aquariumsmärkte waren wieder einmal reicher, nicht nur in der Menge, sondern auch in der Qualität. Wir haben es geschafft, zwei weitere Händler aus der Tschechischen Republik anzulocken, was das Angebot erheblich bereicherte. Das Gesamtangebot umfasste verschiedene kleine und große technische Hilfsmittel, die sicherlich von jedem erfahrenen Aquarianer geschätzt wurden. Das Angebot an Futtermitteln verbesserte sich, und es gab einen erhöhten Wettbewerb unter den Produkten. Selbst diejenigen, die seltenere Fische oder Pflanzen erwerben wollten, konnten das finden, wonach sie suchten. Ich habe die Anzahl der Fische nicht gezählt, aber zum Beispiel sind Halančíks kein übliches Element bei ähnlichen Veranstaltungen oder sogar in Geschäften. Zum ersten Mal tauchten Pflanzen aus Gewächshäusern auf unserer Veranstaltung auf, zum Beispiel sehr schöne Anubias. Einige der genannten Pflanzen sind Aponogeton ulvaceus, A. longiplumulosus, Shinersia sp., Crinum calamistratum, verschiedene Moose. Die Hauptattraktion war der “Schönster Foto-Wettbewerb” in Verbindung mit der Fotoausstellung. Die Besucher des Aquarium-Frühlings stimmten für einzelne Fotos. Nach der Veranstaltung zogen wir 12 Gewinner von Sachpreisen. Dem Fotowettbewerb ging eine Abstimmung im Internetforum www.akva.sk voraus. X Personen reichten 158 Fotos zum Wettbewerb ein. Wir kündigten vier Kategorien an: Pflanzenwelt (21 Fotos), Leben im Aquarium (42), Ein kleines Stück Natur zu Hause (19), Du bist so schön (76). Akvaristická zima 2007
8 – 9.12.2007 sa uskutočnila Akvaristická zima v Bratislave. Jej hlavnou časťou bola výstava vodných rastlín. Asi rok aj niečo predtým sa medzi nami ozývali hlasy, ktoré reálne hovorili o tom, že spravíme výstavu rastlín. Nebolo to ľahké, stálo to kopec úsilia, ale podarilo sa. Rastliny sme mali v šiestich 200 litrových nádržiach, v asi 10 zhruba 40 litrových, a okrem nich sme mali ešte výstavu miniakvárií, ktorých bolo cca 18. Pre spresnenie, mali objem 12 litrov. Akciu sme usporiadali v DK Ružinov, v Bratislave. Vystavili sme cca 80 druhov vodných rastlín, na Akvatrhoch sa zúčastnilo 27 predajcov, bránami prešlo 492 platiacich návštevníkov. Okrem rastlín sme pripravili na paneloch fotografie predovšetkým rastlín a zo života nášho klubu. Fotografie sme doplnili o najkrajšie vymaľované bojovnice z Akvaristickej jesene 2007. Súčasťou boli takisto Akvatrhy, o ktoré sa nám zvyšuje záujem zo strany predajcov. Pre deti sme tento krát pripravili aj malú súťaž, kde výhrou bol plyšák, alebo cukríky. Okrem toho si mohli opäť vymaľovávať. Musím konštatovať, že tento krát sme mali akciu stiesnenú pre iný program konajúci v DK Ružinov, čo bolo pre našu akciu negatívom. Preto aj takmer nikto si nevšimol pripravenú a bežiacu videoprojekciu. V sobotu poobede prebehlo vyhlásenie víťazov súťaže miniakvárií a prednášky. V prvej prednáške sa Jožko Somogyi venoval nomenklatúre Echinodorov. Druhá prednáška bola o výžive rýb a mal ju Peter Kaclík. Druhá prednáška je natočená kamerou a je dostupná členom klubu.akva.sk.
Aquaristic Winter 2007
On December 8 – 9, 2007, the Aquaristic Winter took place in Bratislava. Its main part was the exhibition of aquatic plants. About a year and something before that, there were voices among us that realistically spoke about making a plant exhibition. It wasn’t easy, it took a lot of effort, but we succeeded. We had plants in six 200-liter tanks, in about 10 tanks of approximately 40 liters, and besides them, we also had an exhibition of mini aquariums, of which there were about 18. For clarification, they had a volume of 12 liters. We organized the event at the DK Ružinov in Bratislava. We exhibited about 80 species of aquatic plants, 27 vendors participated in the Aquatrades, and 492 paying visitors passed through the gates. In addition to the plants, we prepared photos on panels primarily of plants and from the life of our club. We supplemented the photos with the most beautifully painted fighting fish from the Aquaristic Autumn 2007. There were also Aquatrades, which are increasingly popular among vendors. This time, we also prepared a small competition for children, with a plush toy or candy as a prize. In addition, they could paint again. I must state that this time we had the event confined due to another program taking place at the DK Ružinov, which was a negative aspect for our event. Therefore, almost no one noticed the prepared and running video projection. On Saturday afternoon, the winners of the mini aquarium competition were announced, followed by lectures. In the first lecture, Jožko Somogyi focused on the nomenclature of Echinodorus. The second lecture was about fish nutrition and was given by Peter Kaclík. The second lecture is recorded by camera and is available to members of klub.akva.sk.
Aquaristischer Winter 2007
Am 8. – 9. Dezember 2007 fand der Aquaristische Winter in Bratislava statt. Der Hauptteil war die Ausstellung von Wasserpflanzen. Etwa ein Jahr zuvor gab es unter uns Stimmen, die realistisch von einer Pflanzenausstellung sprachen. Es war nicht einfach, es erforderte viel Einsatz, aber wir haben es geschafft. Wir hatten Pflanzen in sechs 200-Liter-Tanks, in etwa 10 Tanks von ungefähr 40 Litern, und zusätzlich dazu hatten wir auch eine Ausstellung von Miniaquarien, von denen es etwa 18 gab. Zur Klarstellung: Sie hatten ein Volumen von 12 Litern. Wir organisierten die Veranstaltung im DK Ružinov in Bratislava. Wir stellten etwa 80 Arten von Wasserpflanzen aus, 27 Verkäufer nahmen an den Aquatrades teil und 492 zahlende Besucher passierten die Tore. Neben den Pflanzen bereiteten wir Fotos auf Panels vor, hauptsächlich von Pflanzen und aus dem Leben unseres Vereins. Wir ergänzten die Fotos um die am schönsten bemalten Kampffische aus dem Aquaristischen Herbst 2007. Es gab auch Aquatrades, die bei den Verkäufern immer beliebter werden. Dieses Mal haben wir auch einen kleinen Wettbewerb für Kinder vorbereitet, bei dem ein Plüschtier oder Süßigkeiten als Preis winkten. Außerdem konnten sie wieder malen. Ich muss feststellen, dass wir diesmal die Veranstaltung aufgrund eines anderen Programms im DK Ružinov eingeschränkt hatten, was für unsere Veranstaltung ein negativer Aspekt war. Daher hat fast niemand die vorbereitete und laufende Videoprojektion bemerkt. Am Samstagnachmittag wurden die Gewinner des Mini-Aquarium-Wettbewerbs bekannt gegeben, gefolgt von Vorträgen. Im ersten Vortrag konzentrierte sich Jožko Somogyi auf die Nomenklatur von Echinodorus. Der zweite Vortrag behandelte die Ernährung von Fischen und wurde von Peter Kaclík gehalten. Der zweite Vortrag wurde mit einer Kamera aufgezeichnet und steht den Mitgliedern von klub.akva.sk zur Verfügung.

Klub.akva.sk usporiadal v dňoch 6. – 7.10.2007 Akvaristickú jeseň. Keďže sme boli spokojní s miestom konania našich predchádzajúcich akcií, tak sme aj “Akvajeseň” pripravili v Dome kultúry v Ružinove v Bratislave. Zaznamenali sme cca 1000 návštevníkov. Hlavnou časťou podujatia bola Medzinárodná výstava bojovníc (Betta splendens).Výstava bojovníc niesla jeden veľmi významný znak – posudzovanie prebehlo prvýkrát podľa nového štandardu ČLA [1]. Bojovnice boli tak premiérovo posudzované v našich končinách podľa modernejších kritérií. Posudzovanie prebehlo ešte počas neverejnej časti, v piatok 5.10.2007. Posudzoval Tomáš Chuda, Tomáš Jarkovský a Miroslav Konôpka. Pozorovateľom bol Marián Stieranka. 97 vystavených bojovníc pochádzalo zo štyroch krajín – zo Slovenska, Česka, Poľska a Indonézie. Zastúpených bolo 25 chovateľov. Názor posudzovateľov sme poznali, ale zaujímalo nás, čo si myslia aj naši návštevníci. Na vstupenky totiž účastníci písali svoje návrhy na najkrajšiu bojovnicu podľa ich názoru. Odovzdaných bolo 288 hlasov. Možno povedať, že najkrajšia bojovnica bola pre posudzovateľov, aj pre návštevníkov rovnaká. Zaujímavá zhoda, však? Z odovzdaných hlasov môžem povedať, že verejnosti sa páčili najmä viacfarebné bojovnice. Ako je dobrým zvykom, súčasťou akcie boli Akvatrhy, kde si návštevníci mohli zakúpiť rastliny, rybičky, techniku, krmivá od 23-och predajcov. Potešil nás záujem “zabehaných firiem”, aj účasť nových ľudí. Budeme sa aj do budúcnosti snažiť ponuku vytvoriť tak, aby boli zastúpení aj chovatelia aj akvaristické firmy. Samozrejmosťou bol klubový stánok, v ktorom to žilo snáď najviac, predovšetkým množstvom rýb, rastlín, kreviet. Dostupné boli samozrejme aj živé krmivá, rôzne chovateľské zlepšováky ako vlastnoručne zhotovené pôrodníčky, ale trebárs aj jelšové šišky. Niektoré zaujímavé druhy dostupné na akvatrhoch:
Aquaristic Autumn 2007
Klub.akva.sk organized the Aquaristic Autumn on October 6 – 7, 2007. Since we were satisfied with the venue of our previous events, we also prepared “Akvajesen” at the House of Culture in Ružinov, Bratislava. We recorded about 1000 visitors. The main part of the event was the International Betta Exhibition (Betta splendens). The Betta exhibition carried one very significant feature – judging took place for the first time according to the new standard of ČLA [1]. Bettas were thus judged for the first time in our region according to more modern criteria. The judging took place during the non-public part, on Friday, October 5, 2007. It was judged by Tomáš Chuda, Tomáš Jarkovský, and Miroslav Konôpka. Marián Stieranka was the observer. 97 exhibited bettas came from four countries – Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, and Indonesia. There were 25 breeders represented. We knew the judges’ opinions, but we were also interested in what our visitors thought. Participants wrote their proposals for the most beautiful betta according to their opinion on the tickets. A total of 288 votes were submitted. It can be said that the most beautiful betta was the same for both the judges and the visitors. Interesting coincidence, isn’t it? From the votes submitted, I can say that the public especially liked multicolored bettas. As is customary, the event included Aquatrades, where visitors could purchase plants, fish, equipment, and feeds from 23 vendors. We were pleased with the interest from “established companies” as well as the participation of new people. In the future, we will continue to strive to create an offer that includes both breeders and aquarist companies. Of course, there was a club booth, which was probably the liveliest, especially with a variety of fish, plants, and shrimp. Aquaristischer Herbst 2007
Der Klub.akva.sk veranstaltete am 6. und 7. Oktober 2007 den Aquaristischen Herbst. Da wir mit dem Veranstaltungsort unserer früheren Events zufrieden waren, haben wir den “Akvajesen” auch im Kulturhaus in Ružinov, Bratislava, vorbereitet. Wir verzeichneten etwa 1000 Besucher. Der Hauptteil der Veranstaltung war die Internationale Betta-Ausstellung (Betta splendens). Die Betta-Ausstellung trug ein sehr wichtiges Merkmal – die Bewertung fand zum ersten Mal gemäß dem neuen Standard des ČLA [1] statt. Betten wurden somit zum ersten Mal in unserer Region nach moderneren Kriterien bewertet. Die Bewertung fand während des nicht-öffentlichen Teils am Freitag, den 5. Oktober 2007, statt. Bewertet wurde von Tomáš Chuda, Tomáš Jarkovský und Miroslav Konôpka. Marián Stieranka war der Beobachter. 97 ausgestellte Betten kamen aus vier Ländern – der Slowakei, der Tschechischen Republik, Polen und Indonesien. Es waren 25 Züchter vertreten. Wir kannten die Meinungen der Richter, aber wir waren auch daran interessiert, was unsere Besucher dachten. Die Teilnehmer schrieben ihre Vorschläge für das schönste Bett nach ihrer Meinung auf die Eintrittskarten. Insgesamt wurden 288 Stimmen abgegeben. Man kann sagen, dass das schönste Bett sowohl für die Richter als auch für die Besucher dasselbe war. Interessante Übereinstimmung, nicht wahr? Aus den abgegebenen Stimmen kann ich sagen, dass dem Publikum besonders mehrfarbige Betten gefallen haben. Wie üblich umfasste die Veranstaltung auch Aquatrades, bei denen Besucher Pflanzen, Fische, Ausrüstung und Futter von 23 Anbietern kaufen konnten. Wir freuten uns über das Interesse etablierter Unternehmen sowie die Teilnahme neuer Personen. In Zukunft werden wir weiterhin bestrebt sein, ein Angebot zu schaffen, das sowohl Züchter als auch Aquaristikunternehmen umfasst. Natürlich gab es auch einen Clubstand, der wahrscheinlich der lebhafteste war, insbesondere mit einer Vielzahl von Fischen, Pflanzen und Garnelen. Lebendfutter war ebenfalls erhältlich, ebenso wie verschiedene Zuchtverbesserungen wie handgefertigte Geburtskammern oder Erlenkätzchen. Náš klub chcel k výstave bojovníc pridať nejaký bonus a rozhodol sa pre menšiu výstavu labyrintiek a slimákov zo zásob jednotlivých členov klubu. Verím, že aj táto výstavka obohatila náš program.

Unser Club wollte der Betta-Ausstellung einen Bonus hinzufügen und entschied sich für eine kleinere Ausstellung von Labyrinthfischen und Schnecken aus den Beständen einzelner Clubmitglieder. Ich glaube, dass diese Ausstellung auch unser Programm bereichert hat.
Die folgenden Labyrinthfische wurden ausgestellt:
Doplnkom podujatia bol detský kútik, v ktorom si deti kreslili podľa vlastnej fantázie svoje bojovnice. Iste viacerým rodičom padol vhod tento priestor a deťom sa pritom páčilo. Samozrejme niektorí dospelí sa takisto výtvarne realizovali. Najkrajšie z týchto bojovníc budú vystavené na Akvaristickej zime 8. – 9.12.2007. 6.10 – t.j. v sobotu, od 13:00 prebiehali dve prednášky. Prvú prednášku mal Marián Stieranka, ktorý nám porozprával o štandardoch gupiek – Poecilia reticulata. Druhá prednáška Rostislava Pantůčka a Tomáša Chudu bola venovaná bojovniciam, konkrétne novému štandardu bojovníc, ktorý vypracovala ČLA. Tento nový štandard oproti starej dodnes používanej metodike “objavil” nové formy ako napr. crowntail. Tieto formy neboli doteraz hodnotené správne, pretože takéto formy štandard nepoznal. Verím, že nový štandard a predovšetkým nové formy, ktoré sú mimochodom všade medzi chovateľmi rozšírené, dostanú možnosť sa naplno presadiť a potom sa môžeme tešiť aj na väčšie množstvo bojovníc na výstavách. V nedeľu 7.10 od 12:00 bolo na pláne vyhlasovanie víťazov a dražba bojovníc. Vedúci výstavy – Branislav Barčin vyhlásil víťazov jednotlivých tried a celkového víťaza. Triedu Halfmoon vyhrala Lenka Vránová, Doubletail- Hermanus J. Haryanto, Crowntail – Hermanus J. Haryanto, Plakat – Hermanus J. Haryanto, Veilteil – Krysztof Synowski, Kombinované variety – Tomáš Jarkovský, Singletail female – Tomáš Chuda a Doubletail female – Hermanus J. Haryanto. Celkovým víťazom sa stal Hermanus J. Haryanto. Za zmienku stojí, že najvyššie umiestneným slovenským chovateľov sa stal Tomáš Jarkovský, obsadil 7. miesto v celkovom hodnotení. Najvyššie umiestneným naším členom klubu sa stal Miloslav Pešek, ktorý sa umiestnil na 10. mieste. Výsledkovú listinu môžete nájsť na klubových stránkach. Dražba prebiehala podľa jednotlivých tried a to pre ryby, ktoré jednotliví chovatelia označili, že môžu ísť do dražby. Začalo sa dražiť podľa umiestnenia od tých horších ku najlepším. O niektoré bojovnice záujemcovia prejavili veľký záujem. Najtuhší boj bol o samičku víťazného samca – číslo nádrže 74, ktorá bola vydražená za 2050 Sk. Dražba trvala asi 20 – 30 minút. The event was supplemented by a children’s corner where kids could draw their own bettas according to their imagination. Surely, this space was convenient for many parents, and the children enjoyed it as well. Of course, some adults also engaged in artistic activities. The most beautiful of these bettas will be exhibited at the Aquarium Winter event on December 8 – 9, 2007. On October 6th – Saturday, two lectures took place starting from 1:00PM. The first lecture was given by Marián Stieranka, who talked about the standards of guppies – Poecilia reticulata. The second lecture by Rostislav Pantůček and Tomáš Chuda was dedicated to bettas, specifically the new betta standard developed by ČLA. This new standard, compared to the old methodology still in use, “discovered” new forms such as crowntail. These forms were not correctly evaluated before because the standard did not recognize them. I believe that the new standard, and especially the new forms, which are widespread among breeders, will have the opportunity to fully assert themselves, and then we can look forward to a greater number of bettas at exhibitions. On Sunday, October 7th, at 12:00PM, the announcement of winners and the auction of bettas took place. The exhibition director – Branislav Barčin announced the winners of individual categories and the overall winner. The Halfmoon class was won by Lenka Vránová, Doubletail – Hermanus J. Haryanto, Crowntail – Hermanus J. Haryanto, Plakat – Hermanus J. Haryanto, Veilteil – Krysztof Synowski, Combined varieties – Tomáš Jarkovský, Singletail female – Tomáš Chuda, and Doubletail female – Hermanus J. Haryanto. The overall winner was Hermanus J. Haryanto. It is worth mentioning that the highest-ranking Slovak breeder was Tomáš Jarkovský, who ranked 7th overall. The highest-ranking member of our club was Miloslav Pešek, who placed 10th. You can find the results list on the club’s website. The auction proceeded according to individual categories for fish that breeders indicated could go to auction. Bidding started from the lower-ranking to the best. Some bettas attracted significant interest from bidders. The toughest battle was for the female of the winning male – tank number 74, which was auctioned for 2050SKK. The auction lasted about 20 – 30 minutes. Die Veranstaltung wurde durch eine Kinder-Ecke ergänzt, in der Kinder nach ihrer eigenen Fantasie ihre Kampffische malten. Dieser Raum war sicherlich für viele Eltern praktisch, und auch den Kindern hat es gefallen. Natürlich haben sich auch einige Erwachsene künstlerisch betätigt. Die schönsten dieser Kampffische werden auf der Aquarium Winter Veranstaltung am 8. – 9. Dezember 2007 ausgestellt. Am 6. Oktober – Samstag fanden ab 13:00 Uhr zwei Vorträge statt. Der erste Vortrag wurde von Marián Stieranka gehalten, der über die Standards der Guppys – Poecilia reticulata – sprach. Der zweite Vortrag von Rostislav Pantůček und Tomáš Chuda war den Kampffischen gewidmet, insbesondere dem neuen Betta-Standard, den die ČLA entwickelt hat. Dieser neue Standard, im Vergleich zur alten, noch verwendeten Methodik, “entdeckte” neue Formen wie den Krönenschwanz. Diese Formen wurden zuvor nicht korrekt bewertet, da der Standard sie nicht anerkannte. Ich glaube, dass der neue Standard und vor allem die neuen Formen, die unter Züchtern weit verbreitet sind, die Möglichkeit haben werden, sich vollständig durchzusetzen, und dann können wir uns auf eine größere Anzahl von Kampffischen auf Ausstellungen freuen. Am Sonntag, den 7. Oktober, um 12:00 Uhr, fand die Bekanntgabe der Gewinner und die Auktion der Kampffische statt. Der Ausstellungsdirektor – Branislav Barčin – gab die Gewinner der einzelnen Kategorien und den Gesamtsieger bekannt. Die Halfmoon-Klasse wurde von Lenka Vránová gewonnen, Doppelschwanz – Hermanus J. Haryanto, Krönenschwanz – Hermanus J. Haryanto, Plakat – Hermanus J. Haryanto, Schleierschwanz – Krysztof Synowski, Kombinierte Varianten – Tomáš Jarkovský, Singletail-Weibchen – Tomáš Chuda und Doppelschwanz-Weibchen – Hermanus J. Haryanto. Der Gesamtsieger war Hermanus J. Haryanto. Es ist erwähnenswert, dass der höchstplatzierte slowakische Züchter Tomáš Jarkovský war, der den 7. Platz belegte. Dobre si pamätám, keď sme si minulý rok v našom klube plánovali akcie. Na leto 2. – 3.júna 2007 si klub.akva.sk naplánoval výstavu rýb, vôbec prvú pod svojou taktovkou. Mal som pred ňou veľký rešpekt a myslím, že aj iným členom nášho klubu bolo jasné, že to nebude jednoduché. Hlavným motívom Akvaristického leta bola výstava rýb členov nášho klubu. Pripravili sme 28 nádrží, ktoré každý vystavovateľ zariadil podľa svojho. Vyskytlo sa v nich asi 40 druhov rýb a kreviet. Boli to napr. Trigonostigma hengeli, Paracheirodon simulans, Nannostomus eques, Pseudomugil gertrudae, Carinotetraodon travancoricus, Celestichthys margaritatus, Boraras urophthalmoides, Micropoecilia bifurca, Poecilia wingei, Panaquolus maccus. Nechýbali samozrejme gupky. Veľkou zmenou pre nás a asi aj pre návštevníkov bolo, že akcia trvala dva dni. Veľmi sme boli zvedaví, ako tento fakt bude prijatý verejnosťou. Ťažko súdiť, ale pravdepodobne si náš návštevník bude zvykať na to, že naše akcie budú podľa možností trvať viac ako jeden deň. Sme veľmi radi, že nám firma CULTUS Ružinov, v priestoroch Domu kultúry Ružinov, umožnila usporiadať našu akciu. Zapožičaním osvetlenia nám pomohla firma Plaček a ZOODOM Slovakia, za čo im patrí vďaka. Firma Stein dopomohla ku klubovej výstave rýb. Za víkend podujatie navštívilo 460 platiacich návštevníkov.
I remember well when we were planning our club’s events last year. For the summer of June 2nd-3rd, 2007, klub.akva.sk planned a fish exhibition, the very first under its auspices. I had great respect for it, and I think other members of our club also realized that it wouldn’t be easy. The main motif of Aquarium Summer was the exhibition of fish by members of our club. We prepared 28 tanks, each arranged by its exhibitor. There were about 40 species of fish and shrimp in them. These included Trigonostigma hengeli, Paracheirodon simulans, Nannostomus eques, Pseudomugil gertrudae, Carinotetraodon travancoricus, Celestichthys margaritatus, Boraras urophthalmoides, Micropoecilia bifurca, Poecilia wingei, Panaquolus maccus, and, of course, guppies. A big change for us and probably also for visitors was that the event lasted for two days. We were very curious about how this fact would be received by the public. It’s hard to judge, but probably our visitors will get used to the fact that our events will, if possible, last more than one day. We are very pleased that the company CULTUS Ružinov allowed us to hold our event in the premises of the Ružinov House of Culture. The loan of lighting was provided by the company Plaček and ZOODOM Slovakia, for which we thank them. The company Stein contributed to the club’s fish exhibition. Over the weekend, the event was attended by 460 paying visitors.
Ich erinnere mich gut daran, wie wir im letzten Jahr in unserem Verein Veranstaltungen geplant haben. Für den Sommer vom 2. bis 3. Juni 2007 plante klub.akva.sk eine Fischausstellung, die allererste unter seiner Schirmherrschaft. Ich hatte großen Respekt davor, und ich denke, auch andere Mitglieder unseres Clubs waren sich bewusst, dass es nicht einfach sein würde. Das Hauptmotiv des Aquarium-Sommers war die Ausstellung von Fischen der Mitglieder unseres Clubs. Wir haben 28 Tanks vorbereitet, die jeder Aussteller nach seinem eigenen Ermessen gestaltet hat. Darin befanden sich etwa 40 Arten von Fischen und Garnelen. Dazu gehörten Trigonostigma hengeli, Paracheirodon simulans, Nannostomus eques, Pseudomugil gertrudae, Carinotetraodon travancoricus, Celestichthys margaritatus, Boraras urophthalmoides, Micropoecilia bifurca, Poecilia wingei, Panaquolus maccus und natürlich Guppys. Eine große Veränderung für uns und wahrscheinlich auch für die Besucher war, dass die Veranstaltung zwei Tage dauerte. Wir waren sehr gespannt darauf, wie diese Tatsache vom Publikum aufgenommen würde. Es ist schwer zu beurteilen, aber wahrscheinlich werden sich unsere Besucher daran gewöhnen, dass unsere Veranstaltungen, wenn möglich, mehr als einen Tag dauern. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass uns das Unternehmen CULTUS Ružinov erlaubt hat, unsere Veranstaltung in den Räumlichkeiten des Kulturhauses Ružinov abzuhalten. Die Ausleihe von Beleuchtung wurde von den Unternehmen Plaček und ZOODOM Slovakia bereitgestellt, wofür wir ihnen danken. Das Unternehmen Stein trug zur Fischausstellung des Clubs bei. Über das Wochenende besuchten die Veranstaltung 460 zahlende Besucher.
Po oba dni sa začali akvatrhy – burza rýb, vodných rastlín, techniky, príslušenstva – od 9:00. Trvali do 17:00 v sobotu a do 16:00. Na návštevníkov čakalo 26 predajcov. Tento krát k nám prišli aj kolegovia z Čiech, konkrétne nás potešila svojou účasťou firma EXOTHOBBY, v zastúpení manželov Suchánkovcov. Ich ponuka sa niesla predovšetkým v znamení krmiva SAK. Veľmi som ocenil a náležite sme viacerí využili ponuku transportných sáčikov na ryby a rastliny. Okrem nich prišli so svojou ponukou ešte Ostraváci. V ich ponuke bola aj teleskopická sieť na planktón a mrazené krmivo. Našim českým predajcom sme spolu s Jendom Dvořákom pomohli vybaviť ubytovanie v Bratislave. Akvashop.sk tentokrát na našej akcii nechýbal, tvoril zohranú dvojicu s shop.akva.sk. Samozrejmosťou bola účasť dvojice Ivana Vyslúžila a Petra Kaclíka. Ivanovi kupci ocenili tradične jeho parádne rastliny, menovite napr. Aponogeton ulvaceus, A. boivinianus. Tentokrát sa akcie zúčastnil, aj keď nie priamo, aj náš ďalší člen a kamarát, Imro Fuljer. Prítomný po prvýkrát bol Richard Tokušev so svojím Akvaproduktom. Pavol Roháč sa zaskvel tým, že priamo na mieste v piatok pred akciou kompletne zariadil akvárium, ktoré aj na Akvaristickom lete (Akvalete) predal. Anubiasy, ktoré boli v tomto akváriu, by mohli byť ozdobou nejedného akvária, prípadne paludária. Zastúpenie na akvalete mala aj firma SERA v podobe Janka Kolca a ZOODOM Slovakia. Potešila nás účasť skúsených chovateľov Petra Benčúrika, Dušana Andrisa, Daniela Holého, Ľuboša Trunkvaltera, ale samozrejme aj všetkých ostatných. Súčasťou Akvaleta bol aj klubový stánok, kde sa okrem živého tovaru nachádzali aj materiály klubu, napr. letáčiky o našich budúcich akciách. Za stolmi stáli členovia klubu, ktorí ochotne odpovedali na otázky návštevníkov. Za víkend pribudlo zopár prihlášok do klubu. Najväčšou pýchou však bolo päť zviazaných čísel nášho časopisu Akvárium, ktorého šieste číslo práve čítate. Časopisy bolo možné prezrieť, prelistovať. V rámci priestoru akvaleta si mohli návštevníci podujatia pozrieť fotografie zo života nášho klubu. Na fotografiách boli zábery z našich akcií, z posedenia pri guláši, nami zorganizovaných prednášok a aj z predchádzajúcej väčšej akcie – Akvaristickej jari. Ku vystavovaným rybám sa mohli návštevníci vyjadriť formou hlasovania o najkrajšiu rybu, čo aj niektorí využili. Viem, že vyhrali bojovnice z chovu Mila Pešeka, čo je vzhľadom na nasledujúcu našu akciu, na ktorej bude medzinárodná výstava práve týchto rýb, dobré znamenie. Pre deti boli pri vchode pripravené čiernobiele kresby rýb, ktoré si mohli samé vymaľovať. Okrem toho sa mohli návštevníci vyjadriť k otázke odkiaľ sa dozvedeli o našej akcii. Tento krát sa nám podľa môjho názoru podarilo urobiť najlepšiu propagáciu, preto sme chceli vedieť efektivitu. V sobotu v poobedňajších hodinách prebehli dve prednášky. Rúškom tajomna zastretá prednáška nazvaná “Vítaní a nevítaní” Romana Slabocha sa venovala ulitníkom. Predstavil v nej rôzne druhy týchto zväčša menších tvorov, mnohé z nich aj v ich domovine. Ľuboš Trunkvalter vo svojej prednáške hovoril o rôznych fenoménoch výživy rýb. Venoval sa predovšetkým potravnej špecializácii cichlíd.
Both days started with aquarium markets – fish, aquatic plants, equipment, accessories – from 9:00. They lasted until 17:00 on Saturday and until 16:00. There were 26 vendors waiting for visitors. This time, colleagues from the Czech Republic also joined us, and we were particularly pleased with the participation of the company EXOTHOBBY, represented by the Suchánek couple. Their offer mainly focused on SAK feed. I greatly appreciated and several of us took advantage of the offer of transport bags for fish and plants. Besides them, the traders from Ostrava also came with their offer. Among their offerings was a telescopic net for plankton and frozen feed. We, along with Jenda Dvořák, helped our Czech vendors arrange accommodation in Bratislava. Akvashop.sk was present at our event this time, forming a well-coordinated duo with shop.akva.sk. Of course, the participation of Ivan Vyslúžil and Peter Kaclík was a given. Ivan’s customers traditionally appreciated his excellent plants, such as Aponogeton ulvaceus, A. boivinianus. This time, our another club member and friend, Imro Fuljer, also participated, albeit indirectly. Present for the first time was Richard Tokušev with his Akvaprodukt. Pavol Roháč impressed by completely setting up an aquarium on the spot on Friday before the event, which he sold at Aquarium Summer (Aqualete). The Anubias in this aquarium could be a decoration for many aquariums or even paludariums. The Aqualete also featured representation from the company SERA in the form of Janko Kolco and ZOODOM Slovakia. We were pleased with the participation of experienced breeders such as Petr Benčúrik, Dušan Andris, Daniel Holý, Ľuboš Trunkvalter, and, of course, all others. Part of the Aqualete was also the club’s stand, where, besides live goods, club materials were available, such as leaflets about our future events. Club members stood at the tables and willingly answered visitors’ questions. Several applications to the club were received over the weekend. But the biggest pride was the five bound issues of our magazine Aquarium, the sixth issue of which you are currently reading. The magazines could be viewed and flipped through. As part of the Aqualete space, visitors could see photos from the life of our club. The photos included shots from our events, gatherings over goulash, lectures organized by us, and even from the previous major event – Aquarium Spring. Visitors could express their opinions on the exhibited fish by voting for the most beautiful fish, which some took advantage of. I know that the winners were the bettas from Mila Pešek’s breeding, which is a good sign considering our upcoming event, which will feature an international exhibition of these fish. For children, black and white drawings of fish were prepared at the entrance, which they could paint themselves. In addition, visitors could comment on where they learned about our event. This time, in my opinion, we succeeded in making the best promotion, so we wanted to know its effectiveness. In the afternoon on Saturday, two lectures took place. The lecture titled “Welcome and Unwelcome” by Roman Slaboch, shrouded in mystery, was dedicated to snails. He presented various species of these mostly smaller creatures, many of them in their natural habitat. Ľuboš Trunkvalter, in his lecture, talked about various phenomena in fish nutrition, focusing mainly on the dietary specialization of cichlids.
An beiden Tagen begannen die Aquaterrarien – die Börse für Fische, Wasserpflanzen, Technik und Zubehör – um 9:00 Uhr. Sie dauerten bis 17:00 Uhr am Samstag und bis 16:00 Uhr. Es gab 26 Verkäufer. Dieses Mal kamen auch Kollegen aus Tschechien zu uns, insbesondere die Firma EXOTHOBBY, vertreten durch das Ehepaar Suchánek. Ihr Angebot war hauptsächlich durch das SAK-Futter geprägt. Wir haben das Angebot von Transportbeuteln für Fische und Pflanzen sehr geschätzt und auch reichlich genutzt. Neben ihnen kamen auch Verkäufer aus Ostrava. In ihrem Angebot gab es auch ein teleskopisches Planktonnetz und gefrorenes Futter. Wir haben unseren tschechischen Händlern zusammen mit Jenda Dvořák geholfen, Unterkünfte in Bratislava zu finden. Akvashop.sk war dieses Mal auf unserer Veranstaltung vertreten und bildete ein eingespieltes Duo mit shop.akva.sk. Selbstverständlich waren auch Ivan Vyslúžil und Petr Kaclík dabei. Ivans Kunden schätzten wie immer seine großartigen Pflanzen, insbesondere Aponogeton ulvaceus, A. boivinianus. Dieses Mal nahm auch unser weiteres Mitglied und Freund, Imro Fuljer, an der Veranstaltung teil, wenn auch nicht direkt. Richard Tokušev war zum ersten Mal mit seinem Akvaprodukt dabei. Pavol Roháč glänzte damit, dass er am Freitag vor der Veranstaltung vor Ort ein Aquarium komplett eingerichtet hat, das er auch auf dem Aquarium-Sommerfest (Akvalete) verkauft hat. Die Anubias, die in diesem Aquarium waren, könnten eine Zierde für so manches Aquarium oder Paludarium sein. Auch die Firma SERA war mit Janko Kolc und ZOODOM Slovakia vertreten. Wir freuten uns über die Teilnahme erfahrener Züchter wie Peter Benčúrik, Dušan Andris, Daniel Holý, Ľuboš Trunkvalter und natürlich aller anderen. Ein Teil des Akvaleta war auch ein Vereinsstand, an dem neben lebendiger Ware auch Vereinsmaterialien wie Flyer über unsere zukünftigen Veranstaltungen angeboten wurden. Vereinsmitglieder standen bereit, um die Fragen der Besucher zu beantworten. Am Wochenende gab es einige Anmeldungen zum Verein. Aber der größte Stolz waren fünf gebundene Ausgaben unseres Magazins Akvárium, dessen sechste Ausgabe Sie gerade lesen. Die Zeitschriften konnten eingesehen und durchgeblättert werden. Im Rahmen des Akvaleta konnten die Besucher auch Fotos aus dem Leben unseres Vereins sehen. Die Fotos zeigten Bilder von unseren Veranstaltungen, vom Zusammensein beim Gulasch, von von uns organisierten Vorträgen und auch von der vorherigen größeren Veranstaltung – dem Aquarium-Frühling. Die Besucher konnten über die ausgestellten Fische abstimmen und die schönsten Fische auswählen, was auch einige nutzten. Ich weiß, dass die Kämpffische von Mila Pešek gewonnen haben, was angesichts unserer nächsten Veranstaltung, bei der eine internationale Ausstellung dieser Fische stattfinden wird, ein gutes Zeichen ist. Für Kinder waren am Eingang schwarzweiße Fischzeichnungen vorbereitet, die sie selbst ausmalen konnten. Außerdem konnten die Besucher angeben, woher sie von unserer Veranstaltung erfahren haben. Dieses Mal haben wir meiner Meinung nach die beste Werbung gemacht, deshalb wollten wir die Effektivität wissen. Am Samstag fanden am Nachmittag zwei Vorträge statt. Der von Geheimnissen umwobene Vortrag mit dem Titel “Willkommen und unerwünscht” von Roman Slaboch widmete sich Schnecken. Er stellte verschiedene Arten dieser meist kleineren Tiere vor, viele davon auch in ihrer Heimat. Ľuboš Trunkvalter sprach in seinem Vortrag über verschiedene Phänomene der Fischernährung. Er widmete sich insbesondere der Ernährungsspezialisierung von Buntbarschen.
Pre nás, členov klubu bola táto akcia veľkou skúškou, ktorá dopadla dobre. Sme radi, že si nachádzame cestu ku akvaristom a veríme, že budeme v nastolenom trende pokračovať. Opäť nás poctili svojou návštevou akvaristi z Popradu, zo Žiliny, z Banskej Bystrice (dvaja z nich dokonca predávali na burze). Cestu k nám podstúpili aj kolegovia z Ostravy, Prahy, ale aj z juhozápadných Čiech. Zavítala k nám napr. známa catfish. Dúfam, že sme vás nesklamali, na jeseň pre vás pripravujeme medzinárodnú výstavu bojovníc, tak dúfam, že nás opäť navštívite. Určite budú na vás čakať zaujímavé prednášky. For us, club members, this event was a great test that turned out well. We are glad to find our way to aquarists and believe we will continue in the established trend. Once again, aquarists from Poprad, Žilina, and Banská Bystrica honored us with their visit (two of them even sold items at the fair). Colleagues from Ostrava, Prague, and also from southwest Czechia made the journey to us. For example, a well-known catfish enthusiast visited us. I hope we did not disappoint you, in autumn we are preparing an international betta exhibition for you, so I hope you will visit us again. Interesting lectures will surely be waiting for you. Für uns, Mitglieder des Vereins, war diese Veranstaltung ein großer Test, der gut verlief. Wir freuen uns, den Weg zu Aquarianern zu finden, und glauben, dass wir im eingeschlagenen Trend weitermachen werden. Aquarianer aus Poprad, Žilina und Banská Bystrica haben uns erneut mit ihrem Besuch geehrt (zwei von ihnen haben sogar auf der Messe verkauft). Kollegen aus Ostrava, Prag und auch aus Südwestböhmen haben den Weg zu uns gefunden. Zum Beispiel besuchte uns ein bekannter Wels-Enthusiast. Ich hoffe, wir haben Sie nicht enttäuscht, im Herbst bereiten wir eine internationale Betta-Ausstellung für Sie vor, daher hoffe ich, dass Sie uns wieder besuchen werden. Akvaristická jar 2007
Je sobota večer, 24. február 2007 a ja mám dobrý pocit z vykonanej práce. Naše prvé väčšie podujatie sa vydarilo. Asi pochopíte, že sme boli plní očakávania a mnohých otáznikov. Dnes si myslím, že klub.akva.sk začal definitívne prepisovať dejiny akvaristické hnutia u nás. Kedysi minulý rok sme sa na stretnutí rady klubu.akva.sk dohodli na štyroch väčších akciách za rok. Prvé sme pripravili na poslednú februárovú sobotu a nazvali sme ho Akvaristická jar v Bratislave. Sme veľmi radi, že sme našli priestor aj ochotných ľudí v Dome kultúry Ružinov v Bratislave, kde sa podujatie konalo. Milo nás prekvapilo, že Dom kultúry dal na svoje náklady vyrobiť veľkú tabuľu na vchod, ktorá propagovala Akvaristickú jar. Akciu sme sa snažili aj my spropagovať čo najlepšie. Dúfam, že sme oslovili svojou vykonanou prácou potenciálnych záujemcov o podporu našich akcií, nášho klubu a akvaristiky vôbec. Program Akvaristickej jari bol nasledovný. Doobeda sa konali akvatrhy – burza rýb, rastlín, kreviet, krmív a iného akvaristického tovaru. Od rána prebiehala výstava akvaristických fotografií a poobede prebiehali prednášky. Na Akvaristickú jar prišlo 370 platiacich návštevníkov. Keďže deti a dôchodcovia mali vstup zdarma, odhadujem celkovú návštevnosť zhruba na 450 ľudí. Medzi návštevníkmi doobedňajšej aj poobedňajšej časti som zaregistroval veľa známych akvaristov a videl som na ich tvárach spokojnosť.
Aquarium Spring 2007
It’s Saturday evening, February 24, 2007, and I have a good feeling about the work we’ve accomplished. Our first major event was a success. You’ll understand that we were full of expectations and many questions. Today, I believe that klub.akva.sk has definitively begun to rewrite the history of the aquarium movement in our country. Last year, at a meeting of the klub.akva.sk council, we agreed on four major events per year. The first one we prepared for the last Saturday in February and called it Aquarium Spring in Bratislava. We are very pleased that we found space and willing people at the House of Culture Ružinov in Bratislava, where the event took place. We were pleasantly surprised that the House of Culture had produced a large sign at the entrance at their own expense, promoting the Aquarium Spring. We tried to promote the event as best as we could. I hope that with our work, we have reached potential supporters of our events, our club, and aquaristics in general. The program of the Aquarium Spring was as follows: In the morning, there were aquarium fairs – a marketplace for fish, plants, shrimp, food, and other aquarium goods. An exhibition of aquarium photographs ran in the morning, followed by lectures in the afternoon. The Aquarium Spring attracted 370 paying visitors. Since children and retirees had free admission, I estimate the total attendance to be around 450 people. Among the visitors of both the morning and afternoon sessions, I noticed many familiar aquarists and saw satisfaction on their faces.

Es ist Samstagabend, der 24. Februar 2007, und ich habe ein gutes Gefühl bei der geleisteten Arbeit. Unsere erste größere Veranstaltung war ein Erfolg. Sie werden verstehen, dass wir voller Erwartungen und vieler Fragen waren. Heute denke ich, dass klub.akva.sk endgültig begonnen hat, die Geschichte der Aquaristik in unserem Land umzuschreiben. Im vergangenen Jahr haben wir uns bei einem Treffen des klub.akva.sk-Rates auf vier größere Veranstaltungen pro Jahr geeinigt. Das erste haben wir für den letzten Samstag im Februar vorbereitet und nannten es Aquarium Spring in Bratislava. Wir sind sehr froh, dass wir im Haus der Kultur Ružinov in Bratislava, wo die Veranstaltung stattfand, Raum und bereitwillige Menschen gefunden haben. Wir waren angenehm überrascht, dass das Kulturhaus auf eigene Kosten ein großes Schild am Eingang angefertigt hat, das für den Aquarium-Frühling warb. Wir haben versucht, die Veranstaltung so gut wie möglich zu bewerben. Ich hoffe, dass wir mit unserer geleisteten Arbeit potenzielle Unterstützer unserer Veranstaltungen, unseres Clubs und der Aquaristik im Allgemeinen angesprochen haben. Das Programm des Aquarium-Frühlings war wie folgt: Am Vormittag fanden Aquarienmessen statt – eine Börse für Fische, Pflanzen, Garnelen, Futter und andere aquaristische Waren. Am Morgen lief eine Ausstellung von Aquarienfotos und am Nachmittag fanden Vorträge statt. Zum Aquarium-Frühling kamen 370 zahlende Besucher. Da Kinder und Rentner freien Eintritt hatten, schätze ich die Gesamtzahl der Besucher auf etwa 450 Menschen. Unter den Besuchern der Vormittags- und Nachmittagsveranstaltung habe ich viele bekannte Aquarianer bemerkt und ihre Zufriedenheit in ihren Gesichtern gesehen.
Symbolom nášho podujatia bola výstava fotografií. Skladala sa z dvoch častí: súťažnej a nesúťažnej. Začiatkom januára 2007klub.akva.sk v spolupráci s internetovým fórom www.akva.sk vyhlásil súťaž pre dve kategórie: celkový pohľad na akvárium a ostatné fotografie. Väčšina fotografií pochopiteľne zachytávala život rýb. Do súťaže prišlo 180 fotografií (každý mohol poslať maximálne 10), z ktorých sa vybrali tie lepšie a tie sme vystavili v papierovej forme. Návštevníci mali možnosť hlasovať o najkrajšiu fotografiu. Výsledky hlasovania boli vyhlásené pred začiatkom prednáškovej časti. Ocenení a vylosovaní návštevníci dostali hodnotné ceny, ktoré venovala firma SERA a ZOODOM. Okrem toho boli súčasťou fotografickej výstavy snímky troch autorov: Petra Szalaya (salika), ktorý stojí za stránkou www.akva.sk, Jirka Plíštila – www.aquatab.net a profesionálneho fotografa, ktorý nám pripravil druhú prednášku, Ivana Čanigu – www.ivancaniga.sk. Všetkým trom bola venovaná samostatná plocha. Každý návštevník si mohol porovnať tvorbu troch autorov s tvorbou súťažiacich. Obe časti výstavy ponúkali možnosť vidieť pekné fotografie na kvalitnom materiáli. Pripraviť výstavu fotografií nebolo jednoduché, vyžadovalo to predovšetkým snahu, čas a úsilie zainteresovaných. Na podujatí bolo na paneloch umiestnených asi 120 záberov. Na fotografiách v nasledujúcich stranách je vidno aj zlomok toho, čo znamenalo pripraviť Akvaristickú jar.
The symbol of our event was the photography exhibition, consisting of two parts: competitive and non-competitive. In early January 2007, klub.akva.sk in cooperation with the online forum www.akva.sk announced a competition for two categories: overall view of the aquarium and other photographs. Understandably, most of the photographs captured the life of fish. There were 180 entries in the competition (each person could submit a maximum of 10), from which the better ones were selected and exhibited in printed form. Visitors had the opportunity to vote for the most beautiful photograph. The results of the voting were announced before the start of the lecture session. Awarded and drawn visitors received valuable prizes donated by the companies SERA and ZOODOM. In addition, the photographic exhibition featured images from three authors: Petra Szalay (salika), who is behind the website www.akva.sk, Jirka Plíštil – www.aquatab.net, and a professional photographer who prepared the second lecture for us, Ivan Čaniga – www.ivancaniga.sk. Each of them had a separate area dedicated to their work. Every visitor had the opportunity to compare the creations of these three authors with the work of the competition participants. Both parts of the exhibition offered the opportunity to see beautiful photographs on quality material. It was not easy to prepare the photography exhibition; it required primarily effort, time, and dedication from those involved. At the event, there were about 120 shots displayed on the panels. The photographs on the following pages show only a fraction of what it meant to prepare the Aquarium Spring.
Das Symbol unserer Veranstaltung war die Fotografieausstellung, bestehend aus zwei Teilen: wettbewerbsorientiert und nicht wettbewerbsorientiert. Anfang Januar 2007 gab klub.akva.sk in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Online-Forum www.akva.sk einen Wettbewerb für zwei Kategorien bekannt: Gesamtblick auf das Aquarium und andere Fotografien. Verständlicherweise zeigten die meisten Fotos das Leben der Fische. Es gab 180 Einsendungen für den Wettbewerb (jede Person konnte maximal 10 einreichen), aus denen die besseren ausgewählt und in gedruckter Form ausgestellt wurden. Die Besucher hatten die Möglichkeit, für das schönste Foto abzustimmen. Die Ergebnisse der Abstimmung wurden vor Beginn der Vortragsreihe bekannt gegeben. Ausgezeichnete und ausgeloste Besucher erhielten wertvolle Preise, die von den Firmen SERA und ZOODOM gespendet wurden. Darüber hinaus zeigte die Fotografieausstellung Bilder von drei Autoren: Petra Szalay (salika), der hinter der Website www.akva.sk steht, Jirka Plíštil – www.aquatab.net, und einem professionellen Fotografen, der den zweiten Vortrag für uns vorbereitete, Ivan Čaniga – www.ivancaniga.sk. Jeder von ihnen hatte einen separaten Bereich für seine Arbeit. Jeder Besucher hatte die Möglichkeit, die Werke dieser drei Autoren mit denen der Wettbewerbsteilnehmer zu vergleichen. Beide Teile der Ausstellung boten die Gelegenheit, schöne Fotos auf hochwertigem Material zu sehen. Es war nicht einfach, die Fotografieausstellung vorzubereiten; dies erforderte in erster Linie Anstrengung, Zeit und Engagement der Beteiligten. Bei der Veranstaltung waren etwa 120 Aufnahmen auf den Tafeln ausgestellt. Die Fotos auf den folgenden Seiten zeigen nur einen Bruchteil dessen, was es bedeutete, den Aquarium-Frühling vorzubereiten.
Od 9:00 do 12:00 prebiehala akvaristická burza. Zúčastnili sa jej mnohí skúsení akvaristi, napr. Milan Líbal, Dušan Andris, Luboš Trunkvalter, Daniel Holý, Peter Benčúrik. Na burze sme mali prítomné aj dve firmy, ktoré zastupovali firmu SERA a ZOODOM. Celkovo bolo na akvatrhoch obsadených 17 stolov. Ľudia, ktorí si prichádzali niečo kúpiť, prípadne len niečo pozrieť, opýtať sa, stretnúť sa s priateľom, rozdávali okrem peňazí aj úsmevy a svoje skúsenosti. Viacerí z nich sa spokojní pristavili na kus reči, mnohí z nich boli spokojní aj vďaka dobrých skúsenostiam z minulých búrz, a to určite každého predajcu poteší. V ponuke boli kvalitné a zaujímavé ryby, vodné rastliny a iný akvaristický tovar. Mňa osobne veľmi teší zvýšený záujem o živé krmivo, ktorý som pocítil pri svojom stole. Súčasťou akvatrhov bol aj klubový stánok. Na troch stoloch boli akvária, v ktorých boli prebytky rastlín a rýb od nás, členov klubu. Zisk z predaja bol z veľkej časti odovzdaný do klubovej pokladnice. Všetkým, ktorí prispeli ďakujeme. Okrem toho boli súčasťou stánku klubové materiály, napr.: prihlášky do klubu, letáčiky na Akvaristické leto, všetky dosiaľ vydané čísla časopisu Akvárium v papierovej forme.
From 9:00 to 12:00, the aquarium fair took place. Many experienced aquarists participated, such as Milan Líbal, Dušan Andris, Luboš Trunkvalter, Daniel Holý, and Peter Benčúrik. At the fair, we also had two companies representing SERA and ZOODOM. In total, there were 17 tables occupied at the aquarium fair. People who came to buy something, or just to look around, ask questions, meet friends, not only exchanged money but also smiles and their experiences. Many of them stopped for a chat, satisfied with their purchases and experiences from previous fairs, which surely pleased every vendor. The offer included quality and interesting fish, aquatic plants, and other aquarium goods. Personally, I am very pleased with the increased interest in live food, which I felt at my table. The club booth was also part of the aquarium fair. There were aquariums on three tables, containing surplus plants and fish from us, the club members. The proceeds from the sales were largely donated to the club treasury. We thank everyone who contributed. Additionally, club materials were part of the booth, such as club membership applications, flyers for the Aquarium Summer, and all the previously issued printed copies of the Aquarium magazine.
Von 9:00 bis 12:00 Uhr fand die Aquarienbörse statt. Viele erfahrene Aquarianer nahmen daran teil, wie zum Beispiel Milan Líbal, Dušan Andris, Luboš Trunkvalter, Daniel Holý und Peter Benčúrik. An der Börse waren auch zwei Firmen vertreten, die SERA und ZOODOM vertraten. Insgesamt waren 17 Tische auf der Aquarienbörse besetzt. Die Leute, die gekommen waren, um etwas zu kaufen, oder einfach nur herumzuschauen, Fragen zu stellen, Freunde zu treffen, gaben neben Geld auch lächelnd ihre Erfahrungen weiter. Viele von ihnen blieben zufrieden für einen kleinen Plausch stehen, zufrieden mit ihren Einkäufen und den Erfahrungen von früheren Börsen, was sicherlich jeden Verkäufer erfreute. Das Angebot umfasste hochwertige und interessante Fische, Wasserpflanzen und andere Aquarienartikel. Persönlich freue ich mich sehr über das gestiegene Interesse an Lebendfutter, das ich an meinem Stand gespürt habe. Ein Teil der Aquarienbörse war auch der Stand des Vereins. Auf drei Tischen standen Aquarien, in denen wir, die Mitglieder des Vereins, überschüssige Pflanzen und Fische hatten. Der Erlös aus dem Verkauf wurde größtenteils dem Vereinstreasury gespendet. Wir bedanken uns bei allen, die dazu beigetragen haben. Zusätzlich waren auch Vereinsmaterialien Teil des Stands, wie beispielsweise Mitgliedschaftsanträge, Flyer für den Aquarium Sommer und alle bisher erschienenen gedruckten Ausgaben des Aquarium-Magazins.
V priebehu obeda prebiehala neverejná časť, kedy usporiadatelia sčitovali hlasy pre jednotlivé fotografie, spratúvali stoly, akvária, priečky, utierali vodu, jednoducho priestor akvatrhov dávali do poriadku. Každá ruka bola dobrá a ochotných rúk bolo chvalabohu dosť. Po obednej prestávke nasledovalo prednáškové popoludnie. Miestnosť, v ktorej prebiehali prednášky, bola po rannej príprave opäť krátko preskúšaná a mohli sme netrpezlivo čakajúcich návštevníkov pozvať dnu. Prednášky prebiehali vo veľmi peknej sále, dataprojektor, notebook, kamera boli v plnej pohotovosti. Prvý prednášal Jozef Májsky s témou „Za rybami v Latinskej Amerike“. Jozef Májsky rozprával o svojich cestách po Venezuele, Kostarike, Brazílii a Argentíne. Niektoré z nich absolvoval s Romanom Slabochom, Miroslavom Ruskom, ktorých možno poznáte, možno aj ich prednášky o tých istých cestách. Ja patrím medzi nich a môžem povedať, že pohľad Jozefa Májskeho je zaujímavý a osobitý. Zaujal ma aj jeden detail. Jozef Májsky krátko spomenul Becka Ondrejoviča, ktorý je známym horolezcom a cestovateľom. Druhým prednášajúcim bol Ivan Čaniga, profesionálny fotograf, jeden z fotografov vo fotoročenke FOTOSK2006 [1], ktorá predstavuje 13 významných slovenských fotografov. Cieľom prednášky bolo ukázať, ako čo najlepšie fotografovať ryby. Treba povedať, že napriek tomu, že Ivan je fotograf, tak nie je to tak dávno, čo mal doma akvárium. Dlhé roky bol akvaristom. My samozrejme dúfame, že sa ním stane opäť, čo aj sám naznačil. Ryby sú také krásne :-)). Ivan nám na jednotlivých zlých fotografiách ukázal celú škálu chýb, ktorých sa často dopúšťame. Postupne sa prepracovával ku vydarenejším snímkam, ktorých zrod popisoval. Až sme sa dopracovali ku fotografiám, s ktorými bol Ivan spokojný. Dozvedeli sme, ako je veľmi dôležité venovať sa príprave na dobrý záber. V prvom rade je nutné si dokonale očistiť akvárium. Vysvetlil nám ako sa dá zabrániť odrazom svetla pomocou rôznych pomôcok. Naznačil, že fotograf nemá svetla nikdy dostatok a povedal nám, ako ho zabezpečiť. Prednáška miestami prechádzala do diskusie s poslucháčmi. Myslím si, že prednáška priniesla všetkým užitočné informácie, ktoré využijeme pri našom fotografovaní.
During lunchtime, the private part took place, during which the organizers tallied the votes for individual photographs, cleared tables, aquariums, partitions, wiped water, simply putting the aquarium space in order. Every hand was helpful, and thankfully, there were enough willing hands. After the lunch break, the lecture afternoon followed. The room where the lectures took place was briefly tested again after the morning preparations, and we could invite the eagerly waiting visitors inside. The lectures took place in a very nice hall, the data projector, notebook, camera were all ready for use. The first lecture was given by Jozef Májsky on the topic “Chasing Fish in Latin America.” Jozef Májsky talked about his travels to Venezuela, Costa Rica, Brazil, and Argentina. Some of them he did with Roman Slaboch and Miroslav Rusk, whom you may know, perhaps also their lectures on the same trips. I am among them, and I can say that Jozef Májsky’s perspective is interesting and unique. One detail also caught my attention. Jozef Májsky briefly mentioned Beck Ondrejovič, who is a well-known mountaineer and traveler. The second speaker was Ivan Čaniga, a professional photographer, one of the photographers in the photo annual FOTOSK2006, which presents 13 significant Slovak photographers. The aim of the lecture was to show how to best photograph fish. It should be noted that despite being a photographer, Ivan hasn’t had an aquarium at home for long. He was an aquarist for many years. Of course, we hope he becomes one again, as he himself hinted. Fish are so beautiful :-)). Ivan showed us a whole range of mistakes on individual bad photographs, which we often make. He gradually worked towards more successful shots, describing their creation. Until we reached the photographs that Ivan was satisfied with. We learned how important it is to prepare for a good shot. First and foremost, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the aquarium. He explained to us how to prevent light reflections using various tools. He suggested that a photographer never has enough light and told us how to ensure it. The lecture sometimes went into discussion with the audience. I think the lecture provided everyone with useful information that we will use in our photography.
Während des Mittagessens fand der private Teil statt, in dem die Organisatoren die Stimmen für einzelne Fotografien zählten, Tische, Aquarien, Trennwände aufräumten, Wasser abwischten und einfach den Aquariumraum in Ordnung brachten. Jede Hand war hilfreich, und zum Glück gab es genug willige Hände. Nach der Mittagspause folgte der Vortragsnachmittag. Der Raum, in dem die Vorträge stattfanden, wurde nach den morgendlichen Vorbereitungen kurz getestet, und wir konnten die ungeduldig wartenden Besucher hereinbitten. Die Vorträge fanden in einem sehr schönen Saal statt, der Datenprojektor, das Notebook und die Kamera waren alle einsatzbereit. Der erste Vortrag wurde von Jozef Májsky zum Thema “Fischfang in Lateinamerika” gehalten. Jozef Májsky sprach über seine Reisen nach Venezuela, Costa Rica, Brasilien und Argentinien. Einige davon hat er mit Roman Slaboch und Miroslav Rusk gemacht, die Sie vielleicht kennen, vielleicht auch ihre Vorträge über die gleichen Reisen. Ich gehöre zu ihnen, und ich kann sagen, dass die Perspektive von Jozef Májsky interessant und einzigartig ist. Ein Detail hat auch meine Aufmerksamkeit erregt. Jozef Májsky erwähnte kurz Beck Ondrejovič, der ein bekannter Bergsteiger und Reisender ist. Der zweite Redner war Ivan Čaniga, ein professioneller Fotograf, einer der Fotografen im Fotojahrbuch FOTOSK2006, das 13 bedeutende slowakische Fotografen vorstellt. Ziel des Vortrags war es, zu zeigen, wie man Fische am besten fotografiert. Es sollte angemerkt werden, dass Ivan trotz seiner Tätigkeit als Fotograf erst seit kurzer Zeit kein Aquarium mehr zu Hause hat. Er war viele Jahre lang Aquarianer. Natürlich hoffen wir, dass er wieder einer wird, wie er selbst angedeutet hat. Fische sind so schön :-)). Ivan zeigte uns eine ganze Reihe von Fehlern auf einzelnen schlechten Fotos, die wir oft machen. Er arbeitete allmählich auf erfolgreichere Aufnahmen hin und beschrieb ihre Entstehung. Bis wir zu den Fotos gelangten, mit denen Ivan zufrieden war. Wir haben gelernt, wie wichtig es ist, sich auf eine gute Aufnahme vorzubereiten. Zuerst und vor allem ist es notwendig, das Aquarium gründlich zu reinigen. Er erklärte uns, wie man Lichtreflexionen mithilfe verschiedener Werkzeuge verhindern kann. Er schlug vor, dass ein Fotograf nie genug Licht hat, und er erklärte uns, wie man es sicherstellt. Der Vortrag ging manchmal in Diskussionen mit dem Publikum über. Ich denke, der Vortrag hat allen nützliche Informationen geliefert, die wir bei unserer Fotografie verwenden werden.
Po prednáške sa skončila Akvaristická jar a nám organizátorom odľahlo. Verím tomu, že každý z nás cítil spokojnosť s vydarenou akciou. Nás, členov klubu čakala ešte výročná členská schôdza, odlepenie fotografií, upratanie a potom sme sa definitívne odobrali domov. Možno mnohí z nás mysleli už vtedy na našu nasledujúcu akciu, ktorú chystáme 2.6.2007. Pevne verím, že naša prvá výstava rýb v lete bude tiež úspešná. Akvaristike zdar!
After the lecture, the Aquarist Spring event came to an end, and we organizers felt relieved. I believe that each of us felt satisfaction with the successful event. For us, club members, there was still the annual membership meeting, removing the photographs, cleaning up, and then we definitively headed home. Perhaps many of us were already thinking about our next event, which we are planning for June 2, 2007. I firmly believe that our first fish exhibition in the summer will also be successful. Nach dem Vortrag endete die Aquaristik-Frühjahr-Veranstaltung und wir Organisatoren fühlten uns erleichtert. Ich glaube, dass jeder von uns mit der gelungenen Veranstaltung zufrieden war. Für uns Clubmitglieder stand noch die jährliche Mitgliederversammlung, das Entfernen der Fotografien, das Aufräumen und dann machten wir uns endgültig auf den Heimweg. Vielleicht dachten viele von uns bereits an unsere nächste Veranstaltung, die wir für den 2. Juni 2007 planen. Ich bin fest davon überzeugt, dass auch unsere erste Fischausstellung im Sommer erfolgreich sein wird. Viel Glück für die Aquaristik!
Rád by som na tomto mieste predstavil svoje túžby po rybách. Všetky prirodzené ryby sú pre mňa krásne, ale niektoré sú pre mňa väčším pokušením. Možno aj vám trochu pootvorím dvere do sveta, ktorý môžete poznať. Ide o veľa rýb, takže ich budem zverejňovať postupne.
I would like to introduce my passion for fish at this place. All natural fish are beautiful to me, but some are more tempting for me. Perhaps I will also open a door for you to a world you may know a little. There are many fish, so I will publish them gradually.
