Ivan Vyslúžil – šampión živorodiek

Je mi veľkým potešením predstaviť vám úspešného chovateľa a zároveň si dovolím tvrdiť aj šampióna medzi chovateľmi živorodých rýb. Ivan kedysi choval poštové holuby, kde mimochodom rovnako mal úspechy, neskôr bol nútený presedlať na niečo „bytovejšie“. Páčili sa mu „červené rybičky“, zaumienil si teda  predovšetkým plát a mečoviek. Roky sa zaoberal intenzívne prísavníkmi. Rukami mu prešli a prechádzajú pancierníky, , karasy, občas aj africké . , raky a mnohé iné akváriové živočíchy. Množstvo rastlín, predovšetkým echinodory, kryptokoryny, aponogetony sú jeho doménou. Známy je aj pestovaním Echinodorus horizontalis, resp. alternatér, barklaje, lekien, Aponogetonu ulvaceus. V prípade, že ste mali to šťastie a vošli ste k nemu vtedy, keď mu kvitlo Crinum calamistratum, pokojne ste mohli vďaka vôni zaváhať, či ste nevošli do kvetinárstva :-). Ivan je však šampión v živorodých rybách. Často si ho doberám, že kovy ktoré zbiera sú ťažké a zaberajú mu veľa miesta. Pravidelne sa vysoko umiestňuje v rámci ME Poecilia reticulata. A v rámci ME pre kategóriu Xipho-Molly je pravidelne na pomyselných stupňoch víťazov. Ivanove platy a lýrové mečovky sú špičkové. V rámci Slovenska je z dlhodobého hľadiska pre živorodky najúspešnejší súťažiaci – ozajstný šampión.

It is my great pleasure to introduce to you a successful breeder and also dare I say a champion among livebearer fish breeders. Ivan once bred carrier pigeons, where incidentally he also had successes, but later he was forced to switch to something „more residential“. He was fond of „little red fish“, so he decided to focus primarily on platies and swordtails. For years, he intensely dealt with suckerfish. His hands have handled and continue to handle armored catfish, danios, barbs, occasionally even African cichlids. Shrimps, crayfish, and many other aquarium organisms. A multitude of plants, especially echinodorus, crypts, and aponogetons, are his domain. He is also known for cultivating Echinodorus horizontalis, alternatively, swords, Vallisneria, and Aponogeton ulvaceus. In case you were lucky enough to visit him when his Crinum calamistratum was blooming, you could easily mistake it for a flower shop because of the fragrance :-). However, Ivan is a champion in livebearer fish. I often tease him that the trophies he collects are heavy and take up a lot of space. He regularly achieves high rankings in the European Championships for Poecilia reticulata. And within the European Championships for the Xipho-Molly category, he is regularly among the top winners. Ivan’s platies and lyre-tailed swordtails are top-notch. In the context of Slovakia, he is the most successful contestant in the long run – a true champion.

Es ist mir eine große Freude, Ihnen einen erfolgreichen Züchter vorzustellen und zugleich wage ich zu behaupten, einen Champion unter den Züchtern von lebendgebärenden Fischen. Ivan züchtete einst Brieftauben, bei denen er übrigens auch Erfolge erzielte, wurde jedoch später gezwungen, auf etwas „wohnlicheres“ umzusteigen. Er mochte „kleine rote Fische“, also entschied er sich, sich hauptsächlich auf Platys und Schwertträger zu konzentrieren. Über Jahre hinweg beschäftigte er sich intensiv mit Saugwelsen. Seine Hände haben und werden weiterhin gepanzerte Welse, Danios, Bärblinge und gelegentlich sogar afrikanische Buntbarsche behandelt. Garnelen, Flusskrebse und viele andere Aquariumsorganismen. Eine Vielzahl von Pflanzen, insbesondere Echinodorus, Cryptocorynen und Aponogetonen, sind sein Fachgebiet. Er ist auch für den Anbau von Echinodorus horizontalis, alternativ Schwertpflanzen, Vallisneria und Aponogeton ulvaceus bekannt. Falls Sie das Glück hatten, ihn zu besuchen, als sein Crinum calamistratum blühte, könnten Sie aufgrund des Duftes leicht denken, dass Sie in einem Blumengeschäft sind :-). Ivan ist jedoch ein Champion bei lebendgebärenden Fischen. Ich necke ihn oft damit, dass die Trophäen, die er sammelt, schwer sind und viel Platz einnehmen. Er erreicht regelmäßig hohe Platzierungen bei den Europameisterschaften für Poecilia reticulata. Und innerhalb der Europameisterschaften für die Kategorie Xipho-Molly gehört er regelmäßig zu den Top-Gewinnern. Ivan’s Platys und Lyra-Schwertträger sind erstklassig. Im Kontext der Slowakei ist er langfristig der erfolgreichste Teilnehmer – ein wahrer Champion.

Sladkovodné akvária

Nachádzajú sa tu celkové zábery na niektoré moje aj cudzie akvária. Možno podľa nich pozorovať vývoj niektorých nádrží. Nachádza sa tu aj zopár záberov, ktoré dokumentujú stav u niektorých chovateľov, čo môže znamenať aj to, že tieto nádrže spĺňajú svoju funkciu a zároveň aj estetické kritéria. Nádrže sú to rôzne, rastlinné aj vytieračky, snažím sa prezentovať to, čo je pekné, dobré, zaujímavé, vzácne.

Here are some overall shots of some of my own and foreign aquariums. You can observe the development of some tanks based on them. There are also a few shots documenting the condition at some breeders‘, which may also mean that these tanks fulfill their function and aesthetic criteria at the same time. The tanks are various, planted as well as fish-only, I’m trying to present what’s beautiful, good, interesting, and rare.

U Pala Svorada

Pala Svorada som nepoznal dlho. Keď sa tak stalo, bol už na dôchodku. Bol z Piešťan ako ja, mali sme spoločného známeho, to boli spojenia, vďaka ktorým sme sa kontaktovali. Palo ako mladík choval ryby a zrejme až na dôchodok sa ku svojmu koníčku vrátil. Avšak Palo bol jedinečný svojím zápalom, ktorým sa venoval akvaristike. Bol schopný zo dňa na deň rozhodnúť sa ísť do Duisburgu na veľtrh. Pre svoje zaneprázdnenie som Pala navštívil iba raz a v dobe, kedy už jeho zdravie bolo takpovediac na vlásku. Bolo to v roku 2015. Mal okrem iného krásne veľké akvárium so skalármi Pterophyllum altum a Puntius denisoni. Palo mi okrem iného venoval kopec akvaristického tovaru. Ďakujem Palo, že som ťa poznal.

I didn’t know Palo Svorada for long. When I met him, he was already retired. He was from Piešťany, like me, and we had a mutual acquaintance, which is how we got in touch. As a young man, Palo kept fish, and it seems he returned to his hobby after retirement. However, Palo was unique in his passion for aquaristics. He could decide on a whim to go to the fair in Duisburg. Due to my busy schedule, I only visited Palo once, at a time when his health was hanging by a thread. It was in 2015. Among other things, he had a beautiful large aquarium with Pterophyllum altum and Puntius denisoni. Palo also gave me a lot of aquarium supplies. Thank you, Palo, for knowing you.

Imro a Karin Fuljerovci

Priznám sa, že africké cichlidy sú moje obľúbené ryby. Veľmi dlho som sa chystal k Imrovi do Bytče na návštevu a už ma veľmi škrelo, že za tie roky, čo chovám Afriku, som ešte u Imra nebol. 8.5.2008 sa zapísal do môjho akvaristického života veľkými písmenami – navštívil som Fuljerovcov. Imro je fanatik, ktorý svoje ryby zbožňuje. K tejto veľkej záľube pritiahol aj svoju manželku, ktorá svojho manžela nielen podporuje, ale akvaristiku aj vykonáva. Karin jednoducho patrí ku Imrovi a obaja patria ku svojim rybám. Preto často ak poviem Fuljer, tak je v tom aj Karin. Nikdy doteraz som nepoznal takýto zohratý akvaristický pár. Možno aj preto som od nich odchádzal taký presvedčený, že táto návšteva bola pekná, zmysluplná, a že sa sem čoskoro vrátim. Imro, čo ma ešte viac teší, má kladný vzťah nielen ku rybám, ale aj k iným živým tvorom, dokonca sa týmto záujmom aj venuje.

Vtedy sa Imro rozširoval, stavia nové dve miestnosti, priaznivci afrických cichlíd sa majú na čo tešiť. Veľa tomu už nechýba. Ťažko opísať, čo sa dá uňho nájsť. Už len keď spomeniem 8-10 foriem Tropheusov, tak sa dvihne obočie všetkým, ktorí majú tušenie, o aké ryby ide. Z iných pikošiek spomeniem napr. Calochromis melanostigma, Enantiopus melanogenys, viacero foriem Cyphotilapia gibberosa, Chalinochromis ndhoboi. Srdcovou záležitosťou sú ale pre Imra aulonokary. V každom prípade sa tu dá nájsť kvantum zaujímavých a krásnych rýb. Imro sortiment aj dosť obmieňa, takže vždy sa nájde dobrý dôvod prísť znovu. Ja som sa vytešoval celý deň, až ma museli vyhnať ;-). Verím, že fotografie a videozáznam vás presvedčia o tom, že Fuljer je značka kvality.

Fuljerovci majú svoje stránky s príznačným názvom www.cichlid.sk. Je určite zaujímavé, že v ponuke majú aj divoké odchyty rýb, a to je naozaj rarita. Pre chovateľa, ktorý to myslí s rybami vážne, to je veľmi dobrá možnosť, ako prísť ku skvelým chovným rybám. Okrem toho ponúkajú napr. krmivá O.S.I., pozadia do akvárií „Back to Nature„, ale napr. aj zahraničnú akvaristickú literatúru.

I admit that African cichlids are my favorite fish. I had long planned to visit Imro in Bytča, and I was itching to go because in all the years I’ve been keeping African fish, I had never been to Imro’s place. May 8, 2008, was a big day in my fishkeeping life – I visited the Fuljer family. Imro is a fanatic who adores his fish. His great passion has also drawn his wife, who not only supports him but also practices aquaristics herself. Karin simply belongs with Imro, and both belong with their fish. That’s why whenever I say Fuljer, Karin is also part of it. I had never met such a well-coordinated aquarist couple before. Perhaps that’s why I left so convinced that this visit was nice, meaningful, and that I would return here soon. What makes me even happier, Imro not only has a positive relationship with fish but also with other living creatures, he even devotes himself to this interest.

At that time, Imro was expanding, building two new rooms; fans of African cichlids have something to look forward to. There isn’t much left. It’s hard to describe what you can find there. Just mentioning 8-10 forms of Tropheus raises the eyebrows of all those who have an inkling of what kind of fish they are. Among other delicacies, I’ll mention Calochromis melanostigma, Enantiopus melanogenys, several forms of Cyphotilapia gibberosa, Chalinochromis ndhoboi. But Imro’s heart belongs to aulonocaras. In any case, you can find a multitude of interesting and beautiful fish here. Imro often changes his assortment, so there’s always a good reason to come back. I was looking forward to it all day, they had to kick me out ;-). I believe that the photos and video recordings will convince you that Fuljer stands for quality.

The Fuljer family has their website with the characteristic name www.cichlid.sk. It’s certainly interesting that they also offer wild-caught fish, which is truly a rarity. For a fish keeper who takes fish seriously, this is a very good opportunity to get excellent breeding fish. In addition, they offer, for example, O.S.I. food, „Back to Nature“ aquarium backgrounds, as well as foreign aquarium literature.

Ich gebe zu, dass afrikanische Buntbarsche meine Lieblingsfische sind. Ich hatte lange geplant, Imro in Bytča zu besuchen, und ich brannte darauf zu gehen, denn in all den Jahren, in denen ich afrikanische Fische halte, war ich noch nie bei Imro zu Hause gewesen. Der 8. Mai 2008 war ein großer Tag in meinem Aquariumleben – ich besuchte die Fuljer Familie. Imro ist ein Fanatiker, der seine Fische verehrt. Seine große Leidenschaft hat auch seine Frau angezogen, die ihn nicht nur unterstützt, sondern auch selbst Aquaristik betreibt. Karin gehört einfach zu Imro, und beide gehören zu ihren Fischen. Deshalb ist immer, wenn ich Fuljer sage, auch Karin dabei. Ich hatte zuvor noch nie ein so gut eingespieltes Aquariistenpaar getroffen. Vielleicht bin ich deshalb so überzeugt gegangen, dass dieser Besuch schön und sinnvoll war und dass ich bald wiederkommen würde. Was mich noch glücklicher macht, Imro hat nicht nur eine positive Beziehung zu Fischen, sondern auch zu anderen Lebewesen, er widmet sich diesem Interesse sogar.

Zu dieser Zeit erweiterte Imro sein Zuhause, baute zwei neue Zimmer; Fans afrikanischer Buntbarsche haben also etwas zu erwarten. Es fehlt nicht mehr viel. Es ist schwer zu beschreiben, was man dort finden kann. Schon die Erwähnung von 8-10 Formen von Tropheus lässt bei allen, die eine Ahnung haben, um welche Art von Fischen es sich handelt, die Augenbrauen hochziehen. Unter anderen Köstlichkeiten werde ich Calochromis melanostigma, Enantiopus melanogenys, mehrere Formen von Cyphotilapia gibberosa, Chalinochromis ndhoboi erwähnen. Aber Imros Herz gehört den Aulonocaras. Auf jeden Fall findet man hier eine Vielzahl von interessanten und schönen Fischen. Imro ändert sein Sortiment oft, daher gibt es immer einen guten Grund, zurückzukommen. Ich habe den ganzen Tag darauf gefreut, sie mussten mich rausschmeißen ;-). Ich bin überzeugt, dass die Fotos und Videoaufnahmen Sie davon überzeugen werden, dass Fuljer für Qualität steht.

Die Fuljer Familie hat ihre Website mit dem charakteristischen Namen www.cichlid.sk. Es ist sicherlich interessant, dass sie auch wild gefangene Fische anbieten, was wirklich eine Seltenheit ist. Für einen ernsthaften Fischhalter ist dies eine sehr gute Gelegenheit, ausgezeichnete Zuchtfische zu bekommen. Darüber hinaus bieten sie zum Beispiel O.S.I. Futter, „Back to Nature“ Aquariumhintergründe sowie ausländische Aquariumliteratur an.

Przyznaję, że afrykańskie pielęgnice są moimi ulubionymi rybami. Od dawna planowałem odwiedzić Imra w Bytča, i cieszyłem się na to, bo przez wszystkie lata hodowania ryb afrykańskich, nigdy nie byłem u Imra. 8 maja 2008 roku od

wiedziłem rodzinę Fuljerów, co było wielkim wydarzeniem w moim życiu akwarystycznym. Imro to fanatyk, który uwielbia swoje ryby. Jego wielka pasja przyciągnęła również jego żonę, która nie tylko go wspiera, ale również sama uprawia akwarystykę. Karin po prostu należy do Imra, a oboje należą do swoich ryb. Dlatego kiedy mówię Fuljer, zawsze mam na myśli również Karin. Nigdy wcześniej nie spotkałem tak dobrze zgranej pary akwarystycznej. Być może dlatego wyszedłem z tak przekonaniem, że ta wizyta była miła, znacząca i że wkrótce tu wrócę. Co mnie jeszcze bardziej cieszy, Imro nie tylko ma pozytywny stosunek do ryb, ale także do innych istot żywych, nawet poświęca się tej pasji.

Wówczas Imro rozbudowywał swoje akwarium, budując dwa nowe pomieszczenia; fani afrykańskich pielęgnic mają więc na co czekać. Już prawie wszystko gotowe. Trudno opisać, co można tam znaleźć. Już samo wspomnienie 8-10 form Tropheusów sprawia, że wszyscy, którzy mają choćby pojęcie, o jakie ryby chodzi, uniosą brwi. Wśród innych smakołyków wspomnę Calochromis melanostigma, Enantiopus melanogenys, kilka form Cyphotilapia gibberosa, Chalinochromis ndhoboi. Ale sercem Imra są aulonokary. W każdym razie można tu znaleźć mnóstwo interesujących i pięknych ryb. Imro często zmienia asortyment, więc zawsze jest dobry powód, by wrócić. Cały dzień się na to cieszyłem, musieli mnie wyrzucić ;-). Jestem przekonany, że zdjęcia i nagrania wideo przekonają cię, że Fuljer to gwarancja jakości.

Rodzina Fuljerów ma swoją stronę internetową o charakterystycznej nazwie www.cichlid.sk. Na pewno interesujące jest to, że oferują także dziko złowione ryby, co naprawdę jest rzadkością. Dla hodowcy, który traktuje ryby poważnie, jest to bardzo dobra okazja, aby zdobyć doskonałe ryby hodowlane. Ponadto oferują na przykład karmę O.S.I., tła do akwarium „Back to Nature“, a także zagraniczną literaturę akwarystyczną.

Chovňa Jozefa Vrábela v Třánoviciach

V roku 2011 som bol účastníkom akvaristického zájazdu, v rámci ktorého sme navštívili okrem iného aj chovňu Jozefa Vrábla, resp. firmu Czechfish Trade v Třánoviciach. Páčilo sa nám :-).

In 2011, I participated in an aquarium enthusiast trip, during which we visited, among other places, the breeding facility of Jozef Vrábel, or the Czechfish Trade company in Třánovice. We liked it :-).
