Obec Hybe leží v Lip­tov­skej kot­li­ne, v údo­lí Hybi­ce a Bie­le­ho Váhu v nad­mor­skej výš­ke 690 met­rov nad morom. Žije tu 1 548 oby­va­te­ľov (hybe​.sk) na plo­che 52.82 km2 (Wiki­pe­dia). Jad­ro obce je zónou kul­túr­ne­ho bohat­stva. Miest­ni špor­tov­ci zís­ka­va­jú oce­ne­nia v rám­ci Slo­ven­ska naj­mä v bežec­kom lyžo­va­ní. Neďa­le­ko je turis­tic­ky zau­jí­ma­vá Hyb­ská ties­ňa­va. Ako slo­ven­ská osa­da sa Hybe spo­mí­na už kon­com 12. sto­ro­čia (Wiki­pe­dia). Prvá písom­ná zmien­ka je z roku 1239 (hybe​.sk). Názov obce pochá­dza od poto­ka Hybi­ca. V prvej polo­vi­ci 13. sto­ro­čia sa sem pre­sťa­ho­va­li Sasi. V 13. sto­ro­čí sa Hybe­nia pokú­ša­li dolo­vať zla­to na úpä­tí Kri­vá­ňa, ťaž­ba sa však nevyp­lá­ca­la. Časť baní­kov odiš­la do Bocian­skej doli­ny (Wiki­pe­dia). Výsa­dy krá­ľov­ské­ho mes­ta zís­ka­lo v roku 1265. Hybe­nia sa veno­va­li poľ­no­hos­po­dár­stvu, remes­lám a naj­mä obcho­du. V 16. sto­ro­čí sa Hybe sta­li cen­trom refor­má­cie. V matič­ných rokoch bola obec zakla­da­te­ľov Mati­ce slo­ven­skej, malo šty­ri kniž­ni­ce, čita­teľ­ský spo­lok, roz­ví­ja­la sa ochot­níc­ka čin­nosť (hybe​.sk). Murá­ri z Hybe sa pre­slá­vi­li pri sta­va­ní Buda­peš­ti. Impo­zant­nou monu­men­tál­nou stav­bou obce je arti­ku­lár­ny evan­je­lic­ký kos­tol nachá­dza­jú­ci sa v stre­de obce. The vil­la­ge of Hybe is loca­ted in the Lip­tov Basin, in the val­le­ys of Hybi­ca and the Whi­te Váh, at an alti­tu­de of 690 meters abo­ve sea level. As a Slo­vak sett­le­ment, Hybe is men­ti­oned as ear­ly as the late 12th cen­tu­ry (Wiki­pe­dia). The first writ­ten men­ti­on is from the year 1239 (hybe​.sk). The name of the vil­la­ge comes from the Hybi­ca stre­am. In the first half of the 13th cen­tu­ry, Saxons moved here. In the 13th cen­tu­ry, the peop­le of Hybe attemp­ted to mine gold at the foot of Kri­váň, but mining was not pro­fi­tab­le. Some miners went to the Bocian­ska Val­ley (Wiki­pe­dia).
