Na ces­te z Tře­boňs­kej bur­zy sme sa zasta­vi­li u Zdeň­ka Doče­ka­la, veľ­mi zná­me­ho akva­ris­tu, kto­rý bol tiež v Tře­bo­ni. Boli sme šty­ria z Bra­ti­sla­vy plus jed­no auto ​“domá­cich”. Zde­něk býva v hor­skej dedin­ke na Mora­ve, veľ­mi sym­pa­tic­kej. Bol začia­tok zimy, ale u nich bola už vte­dy kopa sne­hu. Atmo­sfé­ra bola výbor­ná, bavi­li sme sa o kade­čom, Zde­něk spo­mí­nal na svo­je zážit­ky. Pri­pra­vil sa na nás, čaka­la nás oblo­že­ná misa, pek­ne nau­kla­da­ná – mňa to výraz­ne prek­va­pi­lo. Vide­li sme aj jeho ryby a mali sme čo obdi­vo­vať. Ska­lá­re, kalis­tus­ky a celý rad iných. Boli nád­her­né. Zau­jí­ma­vé bolo, že napriek tomu, že sme boli v chov­ni, tak v nádr­žiach boli v ​“kve­ti­ná­čoch” bež­ne rast­li­ny. Ťaž­ko sme odchá­dza­li od Zdeň­ka, aj ryby sme si pobra­li neja­ké, ale pod­stat­né bolo, že sme sa cíti­li výborne.

On the way back from the Tře­boň mar­ket, we stop­ped at Zde­něk Doče­ka­l’s pla­ce, a well-​known aqu­arist who was also in Tře­boň. The­re were four of us from Bra­ti­sla­va plus one car from the ​“locals.” Zde­něk lives in a moun­tain vil­la­ge in Mora­via, very char­ming. It was the begin­ning of win­ter, and they alre­a­dy had a lot of snow. The atmo­sp­he­re was excel­lent; we tal­ked about vari­ous things, and Zde­něk remi­nis­ced about his expe­rien­ces. He pre­pa­red for us; a well-​laid-​out plat­ter was wai­ting for us – it sur­pri­sed me sig­ni­fi­can­tly. We also saw his fish, and we had a lot to admi­re. Angel­fish, cal­licht­hy­ids, and a who­le ran­ge of others. They were beau­ti­ful. Inte­res­tin­gly, des­pi­te being in a bre­e­ding faci­li­ty, the­re were regu­lar­ly plan­ted plants in ​“flo­wer­pots” in the tanks. It was hard to lea­ve Zde­něk; we took some fish with us, but the essen­tial thing was that we felt great.

Na ces­tě z Tře­boňs­ké bur­zy jsme se zasta­vi­li u Zdeň­ka Doče­ka­la, vel­mi zná­mé­ho akva­ris­ty, kte­rý byl také v Tře­bo­ni. Byli jsme čty­ři z Bra­ti­sla­vy plus jed­no auto ​“domá­cích”. Zde­něk byd­lí v hor­ské ves­nič­ce na Mora­vě, vel­mi sym­pa­tic­ké. Byl začá­tek zimy, ale u nich byla už v té době spous­ta sněhu. Atmo­sfé­ra byla skvělá, bavi­li jsme se o všem mož­ném, Zde­něk vzpo­mí­nal na své zážit­ky. Přip­ra­vil pro nás oblo­že­nou mísu, pěk­ně nalo­že­nou – mě to vel­mi přek­va­pi­lo. Viděli jsme i jeho ryby a měli jsme co obdi­vo­vat. Ska­lá­ry, kalu­žan­ky a celou řadu dal­ších. Byly nád­her­né. Zají­ma­vé bylo, že navzdo­ry tomu, že jsme byli v chov­né sta­ni­ci, tak v nádr­žích byly v ​“kve­ti­ná­čích” běž­ně rost­li­ny. Těž­ko jsme odchá­ze­li od Zdeň­ka, i ryby jsme si odnes­li něja­ké, ale pod­stat­né bylo, že jsme se cíti­li skvěle.

Třeboňská burza akvarijních ryb, rostlin a příslušenství

17.10.2009 – Lázeňs­ký dům Auro­ra. Akciu poria­dal Spo­lek čes­ko­bu­dějo­vic­kých akva­ris­tů AKVA TERA v spo­lu­prá­ci s AQUA Fes­ti­val o.s.. Bur­zu sme nav­ští­vi­li dvo­ma auta­mi. Nie­kto­rí sme sa priš­li popo­ze­rať, nie­kto­rí sme aj pre­dá­va­li. Musím pove­dať, že rybič­ky boli pek­né, ponu­ka bola širo­ká, aj rast­lín bolo dosť, aj tech­ni­ky. Akva­ris­ta si pri­šiel na svo­je. Samoz­rej­me, akcia poslú­ži­la aj spo­lo­čen­sky, ziš­li sme sa sta­rí aj noví zná­mi z rôz­nych kútov Čes­ka a Slo­ven­ska. Mám však aj kri­ti­ku, ani nie na orga­ni­zá­to­ra, ale skôr na pre­daj­cov. Ceny rýb boli veľ­mi níz­ke. Som pre­sved­če­ný o tom, že to je tra­gé­dia. Pre­dá­vať tet­rič­ky po 6 – 10 Kč a veľ­ké 10 cm cich­li­dy po 10 Kč cho­va­teľ­stvo lik­vi­du­je. Dôvod musí byť kaž­dé­mu roz­um­né­mu člo­ve­ku zrejmý.

Po akcii sme mali mož­nosť ísť vďa­ka orga­ni­zá­to­ro­vi, na dohod­nu­tý obed a potom nás na pred­náš­ke Vlad­ko Bydžov­ský obo­zná­mil so svo­ji­mi zážit­ka­mi na ces­tách vo východ­nej Ázii. Nepa­mä­tám si pres­ne už, čo všet­ko uka­zo­val, ale mám pocit, že okrem iné­ho, urči­te Sin­ga­púr. Ostal mi z pred­náš­ky pocit o tom, že v Ázii berú akva­ris­ti­ku ako dob­rý biz­nis, že sa o obchod­ní­kov per­fekt­ne sta­ra­jú. A že majú mož­nosť sa akva­ob­chod­ní­ci pre­zen­to­vať, že je tomu veno­va­ná taká pozor­nosť, aká sa tu mož­no neve­nu­je ani auto­mo­bi­lo­vé­mu prie­mys­lu. Cho­va­te­lia majú mož­nosť vysta­vo­vať nie­len tovar, ale môžu si zasú­ťa­žiť so svo­ji­mi ryba­mi, iste aj s celý­mi akvá­ria­mi. Na môj vkus to bolo až troš­ku prí­liš obchod­né a chlad­né, kaž­do­pád­ne chá­pem že som sa poze­ral na akcie, kto­ré mali slú­žiť obchod­né­mu zámeru.

Nako­niec sme nasad­li do áut, s domá­ci­mi sme sa sta­vi­li pri pum­pe na rum (pre mňa bizar­né 🙂 ) a šli sme Zdeň­ko­vi Doče­ka­lo­vi, kde sme obdi­vo­va­li jeho ryby, vyprá­va­li, bavi­li sa. Bolo to veľ­mi prí­jem­né pose­de­nie medzi parád­ny­mi ryba­mi v tichej, už vte­dy zasne­že­nej dedin­ke vo vrcho­vi­ne. Čo vám budem hovo­riť, kto pozná­te Zdeň­ka, ľah­ko prij­me­te infor­má­ciu, že domov sme priš­li hlbo­ko v noci.

17.10.2009 – Spa Hou­se Auro­ra. The event was orga­ni­zed by the Asso­cia­ti­on of Čes­ké Budějo­vi­ce Aqu­arists AKVA TERA in coope­ra­ti­on with AQUA Fes­ti­val o.s. We visi­ted the fair with two cars. Some of us came to look around, some even came to sell. I must say that the fish were beau­ti­ful, the selec­ti­on was wide, and the­re were enough plants and equ­ip­ment. The aqu­arists had a gre­at time. Of cour­se, the event also ser­ved social­ly; we met old and new friends from vari­ous cor­ners of the Czech Repub­lic and Slo­va­kia. Howe­ver, I have some cri­ti­cism, not direc­ted at the orga­ni­zer but rat­her at the sel­lers. The pri­ces of the fish were very low. I am con­vin­ced that this is a tra­ge­dy. Sel­ling tetras for 6 – 10 CZK and lar­ge 10 cm cich­lids for 10 CZK is ruining the bre­e­ding. The rea­son must be obvi­ous to any rea­so­nab­le person.

After the event, thanks to the orga­ni­zer, we had the oppor­tu­ni­ty to have a pre-​arranged lunch, and then Vlad­ko Bydžov­ský acqu­ain­ted us with his expe­rien­ces tra­ve­ling in East Asia. I don’t remem­ber exact­ly what he sho­wed, but I have the fee­ling that, among other things, he defi­ni­te­ly tal­ked about Sin­ga­po­re. I got the impres­si­on from the lec­tu­re that in Asia, they see aqu­aris­tics as good busi­ness, and they take excel­lent care of the tra­ders. And that aqu­arium tra­ders have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to pre­sent them­sel­ves, that the­re is atten­ti­on given to it, which may not be given even to the auto­mo­ti­ve indus­try here. Bre­e­ders have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to exhi­bit not only goods but also com­pe­te with the­ir fish, sure­ly also with enti­re aqu­ariums. For my tas­te, it was a bit too com­mer­cial and cold, but I unders­tand that I was looking at events that were meant to ser­ve a busi­ness purpose.

In the end, we got into the cars, stop­ped at the gas sta­ti­on for rum (bizar­re for me :-)), and went to Zde­něk Doče­ka­l’s pla­ce, whe­re we admi­red his fish, tal­ked, and had a good time. It was a very ple­a­sant sit­ting among fan­tas­tic fish in a quiet, alre­a­dy snow-​covered vil­la­ge in the high­lands. What can I say, for tho­se who know Zde­něk, you­’ll easi­ly accept the infor­ma­ti­on that we got home late at night.

17.10.2009 – Kur­haus Auro­ra. Die Verans­tal­tung wur­de vom Vere­in der Aqu­aria­ner Čes­ké Budějo­vi­ce AKVA TERA in Zusam­me­nar­be­it mit dem AQUA Fes­ti­val o.s. orga­ni­siert. Wir besuch­ten die Mes­se mit zwei Autos. Eini­ge von uns kamen zum Anschau­en, eini­ge sogar zum Ver­kau­fen. Ich muss sagen, dass die Fis­che schön waren, die Auswahl groß und genügend Pflan­zen und Aus­rüs­tung vor­han­den waren. Die Aqu­aria­ner hat­ten eine tol­le Zeit. Natür­lich dien­te die Verans­tal­tung auch gesells­chaft­li­chen Zwec­ken; wir tra­fen alte und neue Fre­un­de aus vers­chie­de­nen Tei­len der Tsche­chis­chen Repub­lik und der Slo­wa­kei. Ich habe jedoch eini­ge Kri­tik­punk­te, nicht gege­nüber dem Orga­ni­sa­tor, son­dern eher gege­nüber den Ver­kä­u­fern. Die Pre­ise für die Fis­che waren sehr nied­rig. Ich bin über­ze­ugt, dass dies eine Tra­gödie ist. Tetras für 6 – 10 CZK und gro­ße 10 cm Bunt­bars­che für 10 CZK zu ver­kau­fen, ruiniert die Zucht. Der Grund muss für jeden ver­nünf­ti­gen Men­schen offen­sicht­lich sein.

Nach der Verans­tal­tung hat­ten wir dank des Orga­ni­sa­tors die Gele­gen­he­it, zu einem vor­her vere­in­bar­ten Mit­ta­ges­sen zu gehen, und dann infor­mier­te uns Vlad­ko Bydžov­ský über sei­ne Erfah­run­gen auf Rei­sen in Osta­sien. Ich erin­ne­re mich nicht genau, was er geze­igt hat, aber ich habe das Gefühl, dass er unter ande­rem defi­ni­tiv über Sin­ga­pur ges­pro­chen hat. Ich hat­te den Ein­druck von der Vor­le­sung, dass in Asien Aqu­aris­tik als gutes Ges­chäft bet­rach­tet wird und sie sich her­vor­ra­gend um die Händ­ler küm­mern. Und dass Aqu­arien­händ­ler die Mög­lich­ke­it haben, sich zu prä­sen­tie­ren, dass ihnen Auf­merk­sam­ke­it ges­chenkt wird, die hier viel­le­icht nicht ein­mal der Auto­mo­bi­lin­dus­trie ges­chenkt wird. Züch­ter haben die Mög­lich­ke­it, nicht nur Waren, son­dern auch ihre Fis­che zu prä­sen­tie­ren, sicher­lich auch gan­ze Aqu­arien. Für mei­nen Gesch­mack war es ein wenig zu ges­chäft­lich und kalt, aber ich vers­te­he, dass ich Verans­tal­tun­gen bet­rach­tet habe, die einem ges­chäft­li­chen Zweck die­nen sollen.

Am Ende stie­gen wir in die Autos, hiel­ten an der Tanks­tel­le für Rum an (für mich bizarr :-)) und fuh­ren zu Zde­něk Doče­kal, wo wir sei­ne Fis­che bewun­der­ten, uns unter­hiel­ten und eine gute Zeit hat­ten. Es war sehr ange­nehm, unter fan­tas­tis­chen Fis­chen in einem ruhi­gen, bere­its ver­schne­i­ten Dorf in den High­lands zu sit­zen. Was soll ich sagen, für die­je­ni­gen, die Zde­něk ken­nen, wer­den die Infor­ma­ti­onen leicht akzep­tie­ren, dass wir spät in der Nacht nach Hau­se kamen.

Zierfische und Aquarium – akvaristický veľtrh v Duisburgu

Ide o cho­va­teľ­ský veľ­trh, kto­rý sa ale dosť líši od iné­ho kona­né­ho v Nürn­ber­gu. Veľ­mi sa mi páči­lo, že duis­bur­gs­ký veľ­trh na mňa pôso­bil ​“tep­lo”. Nebol to biz­nis, hon­ba za veľ­kých obcho­dom, za peniaz­mi. Skôr som mal pocit, že ide o uspo­ko­je­nie oby­čaj­ných malých zákaz­ní­kov, ba dokon­ca čas­to až o pro­pa­gá­ciu akva­ris­ti­ky. Na veľ­kej plo­che sa tam pre­zen­to­va­li aj nie­kto­ré ini­cia­tí­vy ako Gar­ne­len forum, Cich­li­den Tage a napo­kon aj Dis­kus Cham­pi­onat a Bewer­tungss­chau des EHBBC – výsta­va bojov­níc. Výsta­vis­ko nav­ští­vi­lo nesku­toč­né množ­stvo ľudí, cca 40 000, výsta­va trva­la od 2.10 do 10.10.2008. Záu­jem bol asi o všet­ko, o vod­né rast­li­ny, o tech­ni­ku, lite­ra­tú­ru, ryby, výsta­vu ter­čov­cov. Tovar bol roz­ma­ni­tý, ponu­ka láka­la, ja sa urči­te do Duis­bur­gu vrá­tim. Z veľ­tr­hu sme šli do akva­ris­ti­ky Hob­by ZOO Till­mann.

It is a bre­e­ding fair, but it dif­fers quite a bit from anot­her one held in Nurem­berg. I real­ly liked that the Duis­burg fair felt ​“warm” to me. It was­n’t about busi­ness, cha­sing big deals, cha­sing money. Ins­te­ad, I had the fee­ling that it was about satis­fy­ing ordi­na­ry small cus­to­mers, and even often pro­mo­ting aqu­aris­tics. Some ini­tia­ti­ves were pre­sen­ted on a lar­ge area, such as Gar­ne­len forum, Cich­li­den Tage, and final­ly, the Dis­kus Cham­pi­ons­hip and Bewer­tungss­chau des EHBBC – the figh­ting fish exhi­bi­ti­on. An inc­re­dib­le num­ber of peop­le, app­ro­xi­ma­te­ly 40,000, visi­ted the exhi­bi­ti­on, which las­ted from Octo­ber 2nd to Octo­ber 10th, 2008. The­re was inte­rest in eve­ryt­hing, water plants, equ­ip­ment, lite­ra­tu­re, fish, and the cich­lid exhi­bi­ti­on. The goods were diver­se, the offer was enti­cing, and I will defi­ni­te­ly return to Duisburg.

Es han­delt sich um eine Zucht­bör­se, die sich jedoch ziem­lich von einer ande­ren in Nürn­berg durch­ge­fü­hr­ten unters­che­i­det. Mir gefiel sehr gut, dass die Duis­bur­ger Mes­se auf mich ​“warm” wir­kte. Es ging nicht um Ges­chäft, nicht um die Jagd nach gro­ßen Deals, nicht um Geld. Eher hat­te ich das Gefühl, dass es darum ging, die ein­fa­chen kle­i­nen Kun­den zuf­rie­den­zus­tel­len, und sogar oft um die För­de­rung der Aqu­aris­tik. Auf einer gro­ßen Flä­che prä­sen­tier­ten sich eini­ge Ini­tia­ti­ven wie Gar­ne­len­fo­rum, Cich­li­den Tage und sch­lie­ßlich auch die Dis­kus­me­is­ters­chaft und Bewer­tungss­chau des EHBBC – die Auss­tel­lung der Kampf­fis­che. Eine unglaub­li­che Anzahl von Men­schen, etwa 40.000, besuch­te die Mes­se, die vom 2. bis 10. Okto­ber 2008 dau­er­te. Es gab Inte­res­se an allem, Was­serp­lan­zen, Aus­rüs­tung, Lite­ra­tur, Fis­che und die Auss­tel­lung der Bunt­bars­che. Die Ware war viel­fäl­tig, das Ange­bot ver­loc­kend, und ich wer­de defi­ni­tiv nach Duis­burg zurückkehren.

Chovňa Jána Budaia

Po absol­vo­va­ní Akva­fi­tu v Žili­ne v decem­bri 2009 nás pozval Jan­ko Budai do svoj­ho akva­ris­tic­ké­ho krá­ľov­stva. Boli nás 3 – 4 autá a bolo sa načo poze­rať, aj o čom sa pozho­vá­rať. Mne bolo jas­né, že Jano moly musí, a že sa plný úsi­lia pus­til do cho­vu kre­ve­tiek.

After atten­ding Akva­fit in Žili­na in Decem­ber 2009, Jan­ko Budai invi­ted us to his aqu­arium king­dom. The­re were 3 – 4 cars of us, and the­re was plen­ty to see and talk about. It was cle­ar to me that Jan­ko was pas­si­ona­te about his hob­by and had ent­hu­sias­ti­cal­ly ven­tu­red into bre­e­ding shrimp.

Aqu­arium of the Paci­fic je verej­né akvá­ri­um nachá­dza­jú­ce sa v Long Beach v Kali­for­nii, USA. Je jed­ným z naj­väč­ších akvá­rií v Spo­je­ných štá­toch a zame­ria­va sa na oblasť Tiché­ho oce­ánu. Akvá­ri­um otvo­ri­lo svo­je brá­ny verej­nos­ti 20. júna 1998. Akvá­ri­um dis­po­nu­je rôz­ny­mi expo­zí­cia­mi, kto­ré pre­zen­tu­jú mor­ský život z Tiché­ho oce­ánu. K nim pat­rí Sout­hern California/​Baja Gal­le­ry, Nort­hern Paci­fic Gal­le­ry, Tro­pi­cal Paci­fic Gal­le­ry a Shark Lago­on. Náv­štev­ní­ci môžu pre­skú­mať rôz­ne mor­ské bio­to­py, vrá­ta­ne kora­lo­vých úte­sov. Expo­zí­cie ponú­ka­jú rôz­ne inte­rak­tív­ne expo­ná­ty a doty­ko­vé bazé­ny. Tie­to inte­rak­tív­ne prv­ky sú čas­to vzde­lá­va­cie­ho cha­rak­te­ru a sú zau­jí­ma­vé pre deti aj dospe­lých. Aqu­arium of the Paci­fic je obľú­be­ným mies­tom pre rodi­ny, štu­den­tov a všet­kých, kto­rí majú záu­jem o mor­ský život. Zohrá­va kľú­čo­vú úlo­hu v pro­pa­gá­cii ochra­ny oce­ánov a envi­ron­men­tál­ne­ho povedomia.

Zaria­de­nie hos­tí rôz­ne pred­sta­ve­nia a pre­zen­tá­cie, vrá­ta­ne kŕme­ní zvie­rat, vzde­lá­va­cích pred­ná­šok a demon­štrá­cií. Tie­to akti­vi­ty posky­tu­jú ďal­šie infor­má­cie o sprá­va­ní a bio­ló­gii mor­ské­ho živo­ta. Aqu­arium of the Paci­fic sa aktív­ne zapá­ja do ini­cia­tív v oblas­ti ochra­ny mor­ské­ho pro­stre­dia. The­se acti­vi­ties pro­vi­de furt­her insights into the beha­vi­or and bio­lo­gy of mari­ne life. The Aqu­arium of the Paci­fic acti­ve­ly par­ti­ci­pa­tes in mari­ne con­ser­va­ti­on ini­tia­ti­ves.
