Vyštudoval som Prírodovedeckú fakultu UK v Bratislave, odbor , špecializácia ekosozológia a . Okrem toho mám hudobné vzdelanie. Absolvoval som dychové nástroje na Ľudovej škole umenia, čiastočne som sa naučil sám hrať na klavír. Zaujíma ma okrem iného vo všeobecnosti, história, prírodné vedy, … Kedysi som chcel ísť študovať chémiu, krátko – pred vojnou som pracoval ako poštár, následne som začal pracovať pre mesto Bratislava. Bolo to blízke GIS-om na oddelení informatiky. Po návrate z vojny som prestúpil na „čistú“ informatiku, kde som čiastočne fungoval aj pre GIS. Takmer po 20 rokoch som sa vrátil „ku koreňom“ a fungujem ako priestorový a dátový analytik. Ako . Už desaťročia ma láka umenie, cestovanie.

I graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Comenius University in Bratislava, majoring in Environmental Science, with specialization in Ecosozology and Physiotics. In addition, I have a musical education—I completed wind instrument studies at the Elementary Art School, and partially taught myself to play piano. Among other interests, I’m drawn to culture in general, history, natural sciences, travel writing, and more. Long ago, I wanted to study chemistry. Shortly before my military service, I worked as a mail carrier, and afterward, I started working for the City of Bratislava, in a position related to GIS within the IT department. After returning from military service, I transitioned into pure IT, still partly involved with GIS. Nearly twenty years later, I’ve returned to my roots, currently working as a spatial and data analyst and GIS administrator. For decades, I’ve been drawn to art and traveling.

a výstavy – bol som medzinárodný posudzovateľ rýb .  V rokoch 2003-2008 som organizoval stretnutia akvaristov v Bratislave v rámci www.akva.sk. Od vzniku klubu.akva.sk do roku 2008 som bol členom tohto občianskeho združenia, kde som sa v tom čase aktívne podieľal na činnosti klubu.

Aquarium successes and exhibitions – I have been an international judge for Poecilia reticulata fish. From 2003 to 2008, I organized meetings of aquarium enthusiasts in Bratislava within www.akva.sk. From the establishment of klub.akva.sk until 2008, I was a member of the board of this civic association, actively participating in the club’s activities during that time.

Dnes nám pomáha do značnej miery , ktorý dokáže využiť umelá . Ona tu je už dávno, len jej schopnosti neboli také silné a dostupné aj laickej verejnosti. Prelom nastal cca po roku 2023. Svojho času som si dal vygenerovať nejaký text, ktorý ma opisuje. Je pravda, že ja by som o sebe tak pekne nenapísal, som pomerne náročný a aj pokorný, ale musím uznať, že to čo vytiahla a pospájala AI je takmer všetko pravda. Výstup som upravil.

Today, we are significantly assisted by computing power, effectively utilized by artificial intelligence. AI has been around for a long time, but its capabilities haven’t always been so powerful or accessible to the general public. A significant breakthrough occurred around 2023. At one point, I had some text generated that described me. It’s true that I wouldn’t have described myself in such flattering terms—I’m quite demanding and also humble—but I must admit that nearly everything the AI extracted and put together was true. I have modified the output.

sa špecializuje na geografické – GIS. Vo svojom profesionálnom živote sa výrazne podieľal na digitalizácii priestorových údajov Bratislavy od 90-tych rokov a na budovaní moderných geoportálov pre verejnú správu. Je známy svojou dlhoročnou prácou na Magistráte hlavného mesta SR Bratislavy, kde je súčasťou inovatívnych mapových technológií a prepájal dáta rôzneho charakteru do ucelených GIS riešení. Podieľal na zavádzaní pokročilých GIS softvérov, od prvých verzií , ArcGIS Pro až po ArcGIS Enterprise do praxe Magistrátu​ Bratislava. Okrem svojej práce v samospráve pôsobí aj v GIS komunite na Slovensku ako organizátor GIS podujatí a popularizátor GIS technológií. Čerpá aj zo svojho environmentálneho vzdelania, počas štúdia sa zameriaval na územné ekologickej stability () a krajinársky prístup k plánovaniu​. Medzi hlavné projekty patrí budovanie a správa mestského geoportálu Bratislavy. Spravuje kompletnú GIS infraštruktúru – od desktopových riešení až po webové mapové aplikácie​, prezentácie. Za jeho pôsobenia získalo mesto Bratislava cenu za profesionálnu tvorbu a vizualizáciu priestorových údajov.

Jedna z tém, ktorú spracováva sú – kde spracováva celoplošné spracovanie adresných bodov Slovenska a ich využitie aj v krízovej infraštruktúre​. Vo svojej práci využíva aj 3D modelovanie a koncept digitálnych dvojčiat mesta. Virtuálny model mesta poskytuje experimentovanie a umožňuje porovnávanie súčasného stavu mesta s historickými údajmi. Digitálne modely „“ slúžia na vizualizáciu priestorových zmien a plánovanie rozvoja mesta v koncepte Smart City. Posúva tak mestský GIS od dvojrozmerných máp k interaktívnym 3D scenériám, čo prináša nové možnosti a prezentácie dát pre odborníkov aj verejnosť. Na GIS konferenciách, ale aj vo svojej práci sa snaží opísať GIS ako kľúčový nástroj pre rozvoj.

Od apríla 2019 pôsobí ako GIS administrátor Hlavného mesta Bratislava. Jeho dlhoročné pôsobenie na Magistráte Bratislava znamená, že pozná dobre procesy, čo mu umožňuje efektívne prepájať GIS s potrebami mesta Bratislava. Snaží sa zapojiť aj , , a mestské organizácie. V jeho portfóliu je aj organizácia GIS Slovakia, uskutočnili sa dva ročníky. Snaží sa spájať ľudí, informácie, , pretože to je užitočné.

Peter Kaclík specializes in geographic information systems (GIS). Throughout his professional career, he has significantly contributed to the digitization of spatial data for Bratislava since the 1990s and has played a crucial role in developing modern geoportals for public administration. He is well-known for his extensive work at the Bratislava City Hall, where he has been involved in innovative mapping technologies and integrating various types of data into comprehensive GIS solutions. He participated in implementing advanced GIS software, ranging from early versions of ESRI ArcView and ArcGIS Pro to ArcGIS Enterprise at Bratislava City Hall.

In addition to his municipal work, he actively contributes to the Slovak GIS community as an organizer of GIS events and promoter of GIS technologies. His expertise also draws on his environmental education, where he specialized in territorial systems of ecological stability (ÚSES) and landscape-oriented planning approaches during his studies. Among his key projects is the creation and management of Bratislava’s municipal geoportal, where he oversees the entire GIS infrastructure—from desktop solutions to web-based map applications and presentations. Under his leadership, Bratislava has been recognized for professional creation and visualization of spatial data.

One of the topics he addresses is address points—comprehensively managing Slovakia’s address points and their utilization in critical infrastructure. His work also involves 3D modeling and the concept of digital city twins. Virtual city models allow experimentation and enable comparison of the city’s current state with historical data. The „Twin City“ digital models serve as visualization tools for spatial changes and urban planning within the Smart City concept, thus advancing municipal GIS from two-dimensional maps to interactive 3D scenes, providing new possibilities for analysis and data presentation to both professionals and the public. At GIS conferences and in his daily work, he consistently describes GIS as a key tool for development.

Since April 2019, he has been working as a GIS administrator for the City of Bratislava. His long-standing experience at Bratislava City Hall means he has an in-depth understanding of the city’s processes, allowing him to effectively align GIS with municipal needs. He actively seeks cooperation with the academic sector, such as Comenius University (PRIF UK), Slovak University of Technology (STU), and city organizations. His portfolio also includes organizing the GIS Slovakia conference, which has had two editions so far. Peter focuses on connecting people, information, and technologies, recognizing their collective benefit.

Peter Kaclík bol aktívny pri vzniku a činnosti bratislavského Slovenska, ktorý bol založený v roku 2006​. Podieľal sa na organizovaní akvaristických podujatí v Bratislave – , , a “, kde sa konali aj niekedy aj výstavy a .​ Aj tieto prispeli k prepájaniu chovateľov, výmene skúseností a popularizácii akvaristiky na Slovensku. Peter Kaclík sa venuje a venoval chovu rôznych druhov rýb a pestovaniu vodných rastlín. Nejaký čas sa aktívne zúčastňoval aj na medzinárodných súťažiach. Aktívne sa venuje vzdelávaniu a šíreniu informácií v akvaristike. Publikuje a príspevky na akvaristických weboch a na svojich stránkach. Zhromažďuje množstvo informácií o akvaristike – od biológie rýb a rastlín, cez praktické návody, až po z akcií. Na stránke zdieľa napríklad detailné o získavaní a chove živej potravy pre . Vo svete akvaristiky bol činný aj ako organizátor výstav a súťaží, pravidelných búrz. Tým podporuje nielen chovateľov pri získavaní nových druhov, ale aj drobné v komunite – predaj vlastných odchovov a výpestkov. Zároveň aj dnes ešte čiastočne udržiava so širšou akvaristickou scénou – spolupracuje aj s akvaristami zo zahraničia.

Vo fotografickej tvorbe Petra Kaclíka sa prejavuje cit pre atmosféru miesta. Svoje fotografie prezentoval na rôznych výstavách a aj v online komunite. Často sa zameriava na kultúru civilizácie v mestách a obciach, krajinu a prírodu. Mnohé z jeho záberov vynikajú nostalgickou náladou, autentickou atmosférou. Dosiahol viacero úspechov na fotografických súťažiach a prehliadkach: Víťaz Park Foto 2008, Cena primátora 2009 (Fotokursalon), Čestné uznanie Fotopark 2011. Významným počinom bola jeho autorská výstava „“ v piešťanskom Kursalone na 2009​. Zúčastňoval kolektívnych prezentácií – Park Foto Piešťany, Fotopark Bratislava, Fotozáhrada v Bratislave. Na druhej strane priznáva, že nie všetky svoje fotografie považuje za umelecky výnimočné a sám seba neustále kriticky hodnotí​. Po jednej výstave poznamenal, že len jedinú z vystavených fotiek považuje za naozaj vydarenú a že chce na sebe ďalej pracovať​. Má na konte viaceré úspechy a jeho cesta ilustruje, že vášeň pre fotografiu sprevádzaná vytrvalosťou prináša ovocie. Zároveň otvorene hovorí o výzvach, čím inšpiruje nevzdávať sa a neustále sa zlepšovať.

Peter Kaclík’s photographic work showcases his keen sense for capturing the atmosphere of a place. He has presented his photographs at various exhibitions and within online communities. His work often focuses on cultural aspects of urban and rural areas, landscapes, and nature. Many of his images stand out due to their nostalgic mood and authentic atmosphere. Peter has achieved notable success in photography competitions and exhibitions, including winning Park Foto 2008, the Mayor of Piešťany Award in 2009 (Fotokursalon), and an honorable mention at Fotopark 2011. A significant milestone was his solo exhibition „Piešťany and Surroundings“ held in Piešťany’s Kursalon in spring 2009. He has also participated in collective exhibitions such as Park Foto Piešťany, Fotopark Bratislava, and Fotozáhrada in Bratislava.

On the other hand, he openly acknowledges that not all of his photographs are artistically exceptional and continuously evaluates his work critically. After one exhibition, he remarked that he considered only one of the displayed photos genuinely successful and expressed his desire to continue improving his skills. His accomplishments illustrate that passion for photography, coupled with persistence, yields results. At the same time, he openly discusses challenges, inspiring others to persevere and consistently strive for improvement.

25.10.2009 po 18-ej večer sa konala výstava fotografií spojená s vyhlásením výsledkov. Jednotliví „súťažiaci“ v nej odovzdávali svoje v papierovej forme, z ktorých porota vybrala fotografie výstavu. Porota bola v zložení: , Čambal a . Do „Fotokursalonu“ sa prihlásilo 26 autorov s 130-imi fotografiami. Víťazom sa stal , ďalšie ceny si odniesli , Tibenský,  čestné uznania si odniesli , a . Cenu primátora získal . Výstava týchto fotografií trvala viac ako .

Mimochodom celá nedeľa 25.10 sa niesla v silnom fotografickom duchu, pretože od desiatej ráno fotili v s inou akciou, ktorú pripravil . Fotili sme v Piešťanoch, z čoho sa vyberú na niektorú z nasledujúcich výstav – viď 6. Fotosession.

On the evening of October 25, 2009, after 6 PM, a photo exhibition was held along with the announcement of the results. Participants submitted their photographs in paper form, from which the jury selected images for the exhibition. The jury consisted of Jozef Keppert, , and Peter Ertl. Twenty-six authors with 130 photographs entered the „.“ The winner was František Halás, with additional awards going to Karol Belas, . Honorable mentions were awarded to Márius Sordel, Richard Hesko, and Roman Bučko. Peter received the Mayor’s Prize. The exhibition of these photographs lasted for more than a month.

By the way, the entire Sunday, October 25, was filled with a strong photographic spirit because, starting at 10 AM, we were taking photos in connection with another event organized by the Photoclub. We captured the Sunday life in Piešťany, and selected photos will be used for one of the upcoming exhibitions – see 6th .

7. Fotosession – 28.3.2010

V poslednú marcovú nedeľu sa uskutočnilo ďalšie, v poradí už siedme, akcie Piešťanského fotoklubu – Fotosession. Za celý deň som narátal okolo 50 účastníkov, ktorí sa zúčastnili tomto milom podujatí. Vypočuli sme si niekoľko prednášok, mali sme možnosť porozprávať sa medzi sebou. Ku spoločenskej stránke pozitívne prispel aj spoločný obed. Medzi účastníkmi podujatia boli aj členovia fotoklubov z iných miest. Nielen z Piešťan, ale napr. z Galanty, z Trnavy, z Nových Zámkov a z Bratislavy. Príležitosť sme využili aj na vzájomne sa informovanie o pripravovaných podujatiach v roku 2010.

On the last Sunday in , another, already seventh, continuation of the event organized by the Photoclub took place – Fotosession. Throughout the day, I counted around 50 participants who took part in this pleasant event. We listened to several lectures and had the opportunity to talk among ourselves. The communal aspect was positively contributed to by a shared lunch. Among the participants of the event were also members of photoclubs from other cities, not only from Piešťany but, for example, from , Trnava, Nové Zámky, and Bratislava. We also took the opportunity to inform each other about upcoming events in 2010.

Na začiatku nám Štepka predstavil predovšetkým výhody farebného priestoru LaB. Ukázal nám možnosti jeho použitia predovšetkým v produkte . Martin ukázal veľkosť priestoru LaB a jeho princíp založený na ľudskom vnímaní.

At the beginning, Martin Štepka introduced primarily the benefits of the LaB color space. He showed us the possibilities of its use, especially in the Adobe product. Martin demonstrated the size of the LaB space and its principle based on human perception.

Nasledovala , ktorá nám hovorila o svojej ceste ku zvládnutej gumotlači. Ide o historickú tvorbu fotografií, čo je zaiste v dnešnej digitálnej dobe nezvyčajné. Katke Mocákovej, ako sme počuli, sa táto výtvarná páči a ja musím povedať, že mne tiež. Určite by som sa sám na len tak nedal, ale jej výsledné sa mi veľmi páčia :-). Spomenula aj to, že nevie o nikom na Slovensku, okrem nej a Rasťa Čambala, kto by sa niečomu podobnému venoval. V jej prednáške odznel termín „„, ktorým označuje svoje a podobné postupy umeleckej tvorby. Jej rozprávanie na mňa spravilo veľký dojem. Namáčanie papiera, tvorba negatívu, skenovanie a mnohé iné vo mne vzbudzovali rešpekt pred vynaloženou energiou, trpezlivosťou a zvládnutou technológiou :-).

Next was Katarína Mocáková, who talked to us about her journey into mastering gum bichromate printing. It involves the historical technique of creating photographs, which is quite unusual in today’s digital age. As we heard, Katarína Mocáková enjoys this artistic form, and I must say that I do too. I certainly wouldn’t engage in gum bichromate printing myself, but I really like the end results of her work :-). She also mentioned that she doesn’t know of anyone in Slovakia, except for herself and Rasťo Čambala, who is dedicated to something similar. In her presentation, the term „photografika“ was mentioned, which she uses to label her and similar processes of artistic creation. Her storytelling made a great impression on me. Immersing paper, creating negatives, scanning, and many other aspects evoked a sense of respect for the energy, patience, and mastered technology involved :-).

Bol prezentovaný ako nástroj pre fotografov, s tým že časom sa zrejme situácia vyvinie do takej miery, že Photoshop nebude musieť fotograf na drvivú väčšinu úprav, vôbec otvárať. Photoshop bude nástrojom pre grafikov a Lightroom pre fotografov.

Dušan Beláň talked to us about local adjustments in Adobe Lightroom. It was presented as a tool for photographers, with the idea that over time, the situation might evolve to the point where photographers won’t need to open Photoshop for the vast majority of adjustments. Photoshop will be a tool for graphic designers, and Lightroom for photographers.

Nasledoval obed v krásnych priestoroch Kursalonu. Tentokrát boli aj buchty, s ktorými bol neustále spájaný najmä Peter Ertl :-). Chutilo však všetko a hádam aj všetkým. Samozrejme, podstatné bolo vymeniť si , a pod.

Po obede v „svadobnej sále“ sme pokračovali prezentáciou projektu VOĽBY, v ktorej Jozef Ondzík (inak praktizujúci anesteziológ) prezentoval fotografie viacerých autorov, na ktorých boli zachytené rôzne voľby. Videli sme fotografie počas samotného procesu vo volebnej miestnosti, ale predovšetkým zhotovené počas volebných kampaní. Zaujala ma nesmierna nestrannosť s akou boli fotografie vytvorené. Napokon aj celá prezentácia bola v takom vyrovnanom duchu, kde názor na politiku, a tým samozrejme aj na smerovanie bol len jedným z mnohých. A už vôbec nebola cítiť žiadna voličská preferencia autorov, ani celého projektu. Podobne sa vyjadril aj v diskusii. Fotografie, ktoré sme videli, nie sú na 100 % tie, ktoré budú aj vo finálnom produkte projektu prezentované, ale zaujímavé bolo, že boli širšiemu auditóriu prezentované prvý krát. Ako povedal aj pán Ondzík, naše boli preňho určite prínosom.

After lunch in the „wedding hall,“ we continued with the presentation of the project VOĽBY, in which Jozef Ondzík (also a practicing anesthesiologist) presented photographs from various authors, capturing different choices. We saw photographs during the voting process itself in the polling station, but especially shots taken during election campaigns. I was impressed by the incredible impartiality with which the photos were created. Finally, the entire presentation was in such a balanced spirit, where opinions on politics, and thus, of course, on the direction of society, were just one of many. There was no sense of any voter preference from the authors or the entire project. Martin Ondko expressed a similar sentiment in the discussion. The photos we saw are not 100% the ones that will be presented in the final project, but it was interesting that they were presented to a wider audience for the first time. As Mr. Ondzík said, our reactions were certainly beneficial for him.

Ako posledný vystúpil Joe Klamar, alebo ak chcete Jozef Klamár. Viacnásobný víťaz Press Photo a iných súťaží, fotografujúci pre francúzsku agentúru AFP, rodák z Jasnej-Záhradiek. Joe nám ukázal kvantum fotografií, ktoré sa nám všetkým iste páčili. Hovoril síce viackrát, že sa na plátne z dataprojektoru občas pritrafia zlé snímky, ale evidentne sa mu nedarilo naplniť túto myšlienku. Viaceré jeho zábery som videl predtým aj na papieri vo veľkom formáte na výstavách v Bratislave. Najprv nám ukázal fotky zo športových súťaží, predovšetkým z lyžovania a zo skokov na lyžiach. Potom sme videli aj zopár silných záberov napr. z Bosny. Trošku sme načreli do problematiky spôsobu, ako sa dostať na to správne miesto. Napríklad počas oficiálnej návštevy pápeža, ale aj trebárs, čo robiť v dave počas demonštrácie. Dozvedeli sme sa aj to, že spravodajstvo si vyžaduje produkovať fotografie aj vtedy, keď sa prakticky nič nedeje. Mnohokrát každý deň. Videli sme fotografie aj zo Slovenska, aj trošku fotografií z voľnej tvorby – na Muráni a pár autoportrétov. Na konci sa Joe vrátil ku športu, videli sme napr. zábery z Pekingskej olympiády, a .

As the last speaker, Joe Klamar, or Jozef Klamár, took the stage. A multiple winner of Czech Press Photo and other competitions, photographing for the French agency AFP, born in Jasna-Záhradky. Joe showed us a plethora of photographs that surely appealed to all of us. Although he mentioned several times that occasionally bad shots hit the screen from the data projector, he evidently failed to fulfill this idea. I had seen several of his shots before on paper in large format at exhibitions in Bratislava. First, he showed us photos from sports competitions, especially from skiing and ski jumping. Then we saw some powerful shots, for example, from Bosnia. We delved a bit into the issue of how to get to the right place. For example, during the official visit of the pope, or even what to do in a crowd during a demonstration. We also learned that journalism requires producing photos even when practically nothing is happening. Many times every day. We saw photos from Slovakia and a bit of free-form photography – horses in , and a few self-portraits. In the end, Joe returned to sports, showing shots from the Beijing Olympics, biathlon, and football.

Podľa Jožovho rozprávania bolo jasné, že často trpí nedostatkom času. Spravodajská fotografia mu neposkytuje veľa možností tvoriť – je to však dosť paradoxné, pretože fotografie Joe Klamaru nesú svoj rukopis a sú zasiahnuté nápadmi. Napriek tomu, že od odfotenia záberu pre agentúru, po jej odovzdanie, má niekedy polhodinu, niekedy hodiny, určite však nie deň, Joe dokáže tomu úspešne tvoriť. A stáva sa, že svoje fotky vidí až keď ich niekto opublikuje. Na druhej strane je rád za množstvo príležitostí, ktoré mu jeho práca poskytuje. Raz by Joe chcel mať viac času na fotografovanie. Celý čas pôsobil veľmi skromne, často z jeho úst vyšla veta v zmysle „to sa dá urobiť oveľa lepšie“. Zaujala ma veľmi jedna, pre mňa nečakaná myšlienka, ktorú Joe spomenul – „choďte si fotiť – tí chlapci hrajú ešte pre radosť“. Po výdatnej dávke Joe Klamara siedme Fotosession úspešne skončilo. Teším sa na ďalšie pokračovanie tejto dobrej .

According to Joe’s narrative, it was clear that he often suffers from a lack of time. Reportage photography doesn’t offer him many opportunities to create – it’s quite paradoxical, as Joe Klamar’s photos carry his signature and are infused with ideas. Despite having sometimes only half an hour, sometimes hours, but certainly not a day, from taking a shot for the agency to delivering it, Joe manages to create successfully. It happens that he sees his photos only when someone publishes them. On the other hand, he appreciates the many opportunities his work provides him. Joe would like to have more time for photography someday. Throughout the time, he appeared very modest, often saying things like „this can be done much better.“ One unexpected idea that caught my attention was when Joe mentioned, „Go shoot the African Cup in football – those guys still play for joy.“ After a generous dose of Joe Klamar, the seventh Fotosession ended successfully. I look forward to the next continuation of this good idea.

6. Fotosession – 25.10.2009

Téma: Piešťany vo vymedzenom čase všetkými zúčastnenými fotografmi, s cieľom zachytenia subjektívnych individuálnych pohľadov na mesto a v ňom. Ráno sme sa zišli v Kursalone, bohužiaľ kvôli pretrvávajúcim zrážkam v uplynulom týždni, v menšom počte. Bolo nás do 15 maximálne odhadujem. Dlhý, skutočne veľmi dlhý čas predtým bolo pomerne hrozné na pobyt vonku, ale v sobotu 25.10 bolo v Piešťanoch ako stvorené na fotenie. Mám pocit, že každý si fotografoval sám. Večer sme sa zišli a fotografie sme odovzdali vo formáte JPG. Narobené fotografie potom preberali na svojich každotýždenných stretnutiach v klube jeho členovia a vybrali cca 50 fotografií, ktoré potom viac ako boli vystavené v Kursalone. Pekná myšlienka, však?

Subjekt: Creating diverse photographic images in the town of Piešťany within a defined time frame by all participating photographers, with the aim of capturing subjective individual views of the town and life in it. In the morning, we gathered at , unfortunately, due to persistent rainfall in the past week, in smaller numbers. I estimate there were a maximum of 15 of us. A long, truly very long time before that, the weather for being outside was quite terrible, but on Saturday, October 25, Piešťany seemed perfect for photography. I feel like everyone was capturing their own perspective.

In the evening, we met again, and the photographs were submitted in JPG format. The photos taken were then reviewed by the members of the club at their weekly meetings, and approximately 50 photographs were selected. These selected photos were exhibited in Kursalon for over a month. A idea, isn’t it?

4. FotoSession v Piešťanoch

V priestoroch Kursalonu sa konalo 26.10.2008 už štvrté stretnutie fotoklubov a fotografov. Spáchal ho Piešťanský fotoklub ;-). Ja som sa, napriek tomu, že to mám „„, na toto podujatie vybral po prvý raz. Program ma lákal, samozrejme bol som zvedavý na realizáciu. Ráno sme začali po úvodnom privítaní prezentáciou firmy SONY. Predstavitelia SONY nám prezentovali fotoaparáty a svojej značky. Odhadom priniesli 8-10 fotoaparátov a cca 15 objektívov, zopár bleskov. Nechýbala ani najnovšia α 900. Skúšali sme aj objektív s dvoma nastaviteľnými svetelnosťami 2.8 a 5.6. Techniku sme mohli vyskúšať, ohmatať, cca do 16 hodiny. Bolo to každopádne prínosné.

Potom nám Ivan Čaniga, známy fotograf svetového mena, prezentoval svoje portrétne fotografie. Hovoril o možných riešeniach portrétovania v časovom strese, o komunikácii, o svetle, o voľnosti pri tvorbe fotografie apod. Videli sme množstvo fotografií z rôznych prostredí. Prezentácia sa predĺžila oproti plánu, aj otázok Ivan zodpovedal viacero. Po prezentácii, vo viacmenej voľnejšom čase, ukázal veľa fotografií na papieri, o ktoré bol dosť vysoký záujem. Je to zrejmé z fotografií nižšie.

Nasledovala moderovaná diskusia. Veľmi som bol zvedavý, čo z toho bude. Moderátorom bol a neskôr Martin Ondko. Veľa otázok ale nebolo treba hosťom klásť, ich odpovede asi prekvapili mnohých. Boli vlastne dlhé, ale svojim spôsobom aj tak krátke. Boli predovšetkým zmysluplné, plné emócii, skúsenosti, sebapoznania i poznania druhých. Odpovedala Martina Danková, Peter Ertl, Rasťo Čambal a Ivan Čaniga.

On October 26, 2008, the fourth meeting of photo clubs and photographers took place at the Kursalon premises, organized by the Piešťany Photo Club. Despite having it „at home,“ I chose to attend this event for the first time. The program was enticing, and I was curious about the execution. In the morning, we started with an introductory welcome, followed by a presentation from SONY. Representatives from SONY showcased their brand’s cameras and lenses, bringing around 8-10 cameras, approximately 15 lenses, and a few flashes. The latest α 900 was also part of the display. We had the opportunity to try and explore the equipment until around 4 p.m., which was undoubtedly beneficial.

Subsequently, Ivan Čaniga, a renowned photographer of international acclaim, presented his portrait photographs. He discussed possible solutions for portrait photography under time constraints, communication techniques, the role of light, creative freedom in photography, and more. We saw numerous photographs from various settings. The presentation extended beyond the planned time, and Ivan addressed several questions from the audience. After the presentation, during a somewhat more relaxed period, he also showed many printed photographs that garnered considerable interest, as evident from the photos below.

A moderated discussion followed, and I was quite curious about the outcome. Maroš Dubovský served as the moderator, later joined by Martin Ondko. However, there wasn’t a need for many questions from the audience; the answers from the guests likely surprised many. The responses were, in a way, lengthy but still short. They were meaningful, full of emotions, experiences, self-awareness, and insights into others. , Peter Ertl, Rasťo Čambal, and Ivan Čaniga participated in providing responses.

Po úžasnej diskusii sme nasýtili svoje žalúdky a nasledoval voľnejší program. Ja som ho využil na rozvíjanie medziľudských vzťahov. Poobede nám Edo Čupka odprezentoval fotografovanie jazzového festivalu International Jazz Piešťany, ktorý prebieha značnú časť roka v bare Art Gallery u Doda Šošoku. Ten je mimochodom neďaleko od Kursalonu na Winterovej ulici.

Niektorí cezpoľní sa s nami postupne lúčili, iní sa k nám večer pridali, pretože nás čakala vernisáž FotoKursalon 2008. Do sa prihlásilo 32 účastníkov. Vernisáž bola spojená s vyhlásením výsledkov. Všetko prebehlo hladko, na vernisáž došlo podľa môjho odhadu 50-80 ľudí. Výstava potrvá v priestoroch Kursalónu do 30.11.2008. Primátor Piešťan podporil FotoSession nielen svojou osobnou účasťou, ale aj tým, že jednu cenu určil sám. V neposlednom rade sa podieľal na cene pre víťaza FotoKursalonu a okrem iného aj pre víťaza predtým sa konajúcej akcie ParkFoto. Piešťany sú nádherné miesto, kde si vždy našlo svoje miesto. Dúfam, že to tak zostane :-)

Večer, cca od 19:30 nám, aj verejnosti predviedli svoje umenie v zložení: Erich Boboš Procházka, a . Erich je kráľom slovenského blues a je to uznávaný umelec. Caroline Hitland je nórska speváčka, ktorá pôsobí medzi Stanom a Erichom ako kvet medzi listami. Jej neskutočne sympatický prejav môžete posúdiť podľa fotografií dole. Škoda, že nemôžete počuť aj jej , stojí to za to! Samozrejme aj chlapci boli výborní.

After an amazing discussion, we satisfied our stomachs, and a more relaxed program followed. I used this time to foster interpersonal relationships. In the afternoon, Edo Čupka presented photography from the jazz festival, which takes place for a significant part of the year at the Art Jazz Gallery near Street, not far from Kursalon.

Some attendees gradually bid farewell to us, while others joined us in the evening as we awaited the opening of the PhotoKursalon 2008 exhibition. Thirty-two participants entered the competition. The exhibition opening was combined with the announcement of the results. Everything went smoothly, and about 50-80 people attended the vernissage, based on my estimate. The exhibition will run at Kursalon until November 30, 2008. The mayor of Piešťany supported FotoSession not only with his personal presence but also by personally designating one of the prizes. He also contributed to the prize for the winner of FotoKursalon and, among other things, the winner of the previously held ParkFoto event. Piešťany is a beautiful place where art has always found its home. I hope it stays that way.

In the evening, around 7:30 PM, musicians, including Erich Boboš Procházka, Stanislav Počaji, and Caroline Hitland, showcased their artistry to us and the public. Erich is the king of Slovak blues and a recognized artist. Caroline Hitland is a Norwegian singer who acts as a flower among the leaves between Stan and Erich. You can judge her incredibly likable demeanor based on the photos below. Unfortunately, you can’t hear her singing, but it’s worth it! Of course, the guys were excellent as well.
