Kedysi tu boli vinohrady. Obyvatelia sa zaoberali poľnohospodárstvom. V roku 18341866 postihla obec cholera (vozokany.eu).

Vozokany near Topoľčany is the closest village under Marhát, at the foothills of the Považský Inovec (Peter Kaclík). From an information board, I learned that the village is first mentioned in 1318 as Wezeken, a village of carters from Nitriansky hrad. Throughout its history, it belonged to the Ostrihom Chapter, Esterházy family, Méry family, and Ocskay family. The coat of arms dates back to the 18th century and depicts a digging Permoník in the iron ore mines under Marhát. Writer František Hečko called this region the Land of Milk and Honey.” Not far from the village is a pond in Krtovce (Information board of the village). Once, there were vineyards here, and the inhabitants were involved in agriculture. In 1834 and 1866, the village was hit by cholera (vozokany.eu).
