Jablonové sa nachádza približne 30 kilometrov od Bratislavy, je súčasťou regiónu Záhorie a leží západnom úpätí Malých Karpát, v nadmorskej výške okolo 230 metrov (Wikipedia). V obci žije približne 1 400 obyvateľov (obecjablonove.sk). Prvá písomná zmienka o obci Jablonové pochádza z roku 1206 ​(e-obce.sk). Spomína sa pod názvom , a v roku 1231 je uvádzaná ako (sk.wikipedia.org). V minulosti obec patrila grófom zo Svätého a Pezinka, neskôr panstvu hradu Bratislava. Od 16. storočia bola v majetku a následne Pálffyovcov. Obec prežila rôzne , vrátane plienenia osmanskými vojskami v roku 1683 a vypálenia cisárskymi vojskami v roku 1708 ​(e-obce.sk). Názov pravdepodobne súvisí s výskytom jabloní (zahoracka.tv). Dominantou obce je rímskokatolícky , postavený v roku 1679 (facebook.com).

V minulosti sa väčšina obyvateľov živila poľnohospodárstvom a domáckou výrobou – v okolí s piesčitou a kyslou pôdou pestovali s obmedzenou úrodou a popri tom vyrábali drevené náradie či , napríklad ručne vyrezávané na pranie, , (zahoracka.tv). Už v 17. storočí existovala pri obci sklárska huta (zahoracka.tv). V 19. storočí sa nad Jablonovým začala ťažiť – dodnes sú dôkazom staré a štôlne v lokalitách , či vrch ​ (turistika.cz). Ťažba mangánu a pyritu prebiehala najmä krátko počas prvej svetovej a zanikla po roku 1918​ (montanistika.sk). V obci sa každoročne konajú tradičné na . Jablonové sa zapája do – tematický jesenný festival zameraný na a z nich (zahoracka.tv). V Jablonovom má dlhú tradíciu. Organizovaný šport sa datuje od roku 1953, keď vznikla telovýchovná pod názvom Sokol. V súčasnosti v obci funguje futbalový klub , ktorý má družstvá v rôznych vekových kategóriách (sk.wikipedia.org). V obci sa nachádza historický židovský cintorín, na ktorom sa zachovalo niekoľko starých náhrobných kameňov s hebrejskými nápismi (turistika.cz).

In the past, the village belonged to the counts of and , and later to the Bratislava Castle estate. From the 16th century, it was owned by the Serédy family and later by the Pálffy family. The village witnessed various historical events, including plundering by Ottoman troops in 1683 and burning by imperial troops in 1708 (e-obce.sk). In the past, most of the inhabitants made a living from agriculture and handicrafts – due to the sandy and acidic soil, they cultivated crops with limited yields and also produced wooden tools and items, such as hand-carved washing plungers, wooden spoons, and painted furniture (zahoracka.tv). A glassworks existed near the village as early as the 17th century (zahoracka.tv). In the 19th century, manganese ore mining began near Jablonové – evidence of this activity can still be seen in the form of old mining heaps and tunnels in the areas of Skala, Lipníky, and Lipy Hill (.cz). The mining of manganese and pyrite was particularly active during World War I but ceased after 1918 (montanistika.sk). The village hosts traditional annual fair celebrations on the feast of St. Michael the Archangel. Jablonové also participates in the Apple Festival (Jablkové hodovanie), a seasonal autumn event focusing on apples and apple products (zahoracka.tv). Sports have a long tradition in Jablonové. Organized sports activities date back to 1953, when the Sokol physical education association was established. Rajecké som navštívil viackrát. Vnímal som ich zvláštne, pomerne rozbito. mňa pôsobilo izolovane, akoby tam boli stredom vesmíru. Asi aj preto, že samotné kúpele na mňa pôsobili gýčovo a snobsky. Nemohol som sa zbaviť pocitu, že sú síce pekné, ale nepatria do Rajeckej vsadenej do hornatého reliéfu, Nehodili sa mi ani mentálne, medzi tunajšie . je veľmi pekné.

Mesto ležia v Žilinskej kotline na svahu (rajecke-teplice.info) v nadmorskej výške 411 metrov nad morom (Wikipedia). Na rozlohe 11.85 km2 tu žije 3017 obyvateľov (Wikipedia). Rajecké Teplice vznikli niekedy v polovici 14. storočia (rajecke-teplice.info). Od začiatku 17. storočia sú Rajecké Teplice kúpeľnou osadou. V roku 1784 tu v 4 domoch žilo 27 obyvateľov. Od roku 1880 do roku 1951 boli Rajecké Teplice osadou Konská. Naopak v roku 1980 sa k Rajeckým Tepliciam pričlenili obce Poluvsie, Stránske, Konská, Kunerád a . Avšak tento stav trval len do roku 1989, kedy došlo k osamostatneniu obcí (rajecke-teplice.info). V kúpeľoch v Rajeckých Tepliciach sa liečia zápalové a pohybovej sústavy, úrazové stavy, stavy po operáciach, . Súčasťou kúpeľov je športový areál, fitnesscentrum, park a . V auguste sa v meste konajú letné a v júni (rajecke-teplice.info).

I have visited Rajecké Teplice several times. I perceived them as peculiar, somewhat run-down. The town seemed isolated to me, as if the spa were the center of the universe. Perhaps this perception arose because the spas themselves seemed kitschy and snobbish to me. I couldn’t shake the feeling that they were indeed beautiful but out of place in the surroundings of the Rajecká Valley nestled in a mountainous landscape. They also didn’t seem to fit in mentally with the local population. The Swan Lake is very beautiful.

The spa complex includes a sports area, fitness center, park, and a lake. In August, the town hosts summer festivities, and in June, there are Harvest Festivities (rajecke-teplice.info).
