This is cru­cial for the Earth, for natu­re itself. Win­ter is a peri­od when ani­mals and some plants retre­at to shel­ters, see­king an oppor­tu­ni­ty for rest and reju­ve­na­ti­on. During this time, cer­tain plant spe­cies enter a sta­te of vege­ta­ti­ve rest, tem­po­ra­ri­ly quie­ting the­ir gro­wth and deve­lop­ment. It’s as if natu­re is hol­ding its own bre­ath, rea­dy for the rene­wal of life in the next cycle.

Win­ter can be chal­len­ging for ani­mals and plants, making envi­ron­men­tal pro­tec­ti­on cru­cial. Some­ti­mes, snow des­cends from the sky, bre­a­king the light into thou­sands of dia­monds that dan­ce on the ground.
