Kat­ka Koš­čo­vá je novým feno­mé­nom v slo­ven­skej hud­be. Som o tom pre­sved­če­ný. Má svo­je rezer­vy, ale má pod­ľa mňa pred­po­kla­dy stať sa dob­rou nosi­teľ­kou ume­nia. Schvál­ne som nepou­žil slo­vo spe­váč­kou, čím nech­cem naz­na­čiť pochyb­nos­ti o jej vokál­nych pred­po­kla­doch. Skôr a čo ma teší ove­ľa viac ako Kat­kin spev je jej orien­tá­cia na hud­bu ako takú. Je pre mňa výbor­né, že Kat­ka ink­li­nu­je k žán­rom muzi­kál­nej­ším. Pev­ne dúfam, že Kat­ka pop spie­vať nebu­de. Skve­lé je, že Kat­ka doká­že impro­vi­zo­vať, aj tak­po­ve­diac v pria­mom pre­no­se – neklam­ný znak talen­tu a schop­nos­ti. Kat­ka má jed­nu obrov­skú výho­du, má dar komu­ni­ko­vať s ľuď­mi. Má skve­lé pred­po­kla­dy ​“počú­vať”. Výbor­ne sa počas Supers­tar pohy­bo­va­la po pódiu, cíti­la sa na ňom dob­re. Vybe­ra­la si aj sklad­by, kto­ré nebo­li veľ­mi melo­dic­ké – bola to ťaž­ká ces­ta, a vďa­ka­bo­hu úspeš­ná. Počas vystú­pe­ní z nej cítiť radosť, v hla­se je až nesku­toč­ná dáv­ka citu. Kat­ka Koš­čo­vá zís­ka­la popu­la­ri­tu ako víťaz­ka prvej sezó­ny súťa­že ​“Slo­ven­sko hľa­dá Supers­tar”. Naro­di­la sa 22. sep­tem­bra 1982 v Mar­ti­ne, na Slo­ven­sku. V roku 2004 sa zúčast­ni­la prvých pred­kôl súťa­že ​“Slo­ven­sko hľa­dá Supers­tar”, kde ju poro­ta a divá­ci posu­nu­li do hlav­nej súťa­že. Počas súťa­že si zís­ka­la obľu­bu svo­jím výni­moč­ným hla­som a hudob­ným talen­tom. Dňa 25. decem­bra 2004 sa sta­la víťaz­kou prvej sezó­ny, čím sa sta­la prvou slo­ven­skou Superstar.

Kat­ka Koš­čo­vá is a new phe­no­me­non in Slo­vak music. I am con­vin­ced of that. She has her reser­ves, but, in my opi­ni­on, she has the poten­tial to beco­me a good car­rier of art. I deli­be­ra­te­ly did not use the word ​“sin­ger,” as I don’t want to imply any doubts about her vocal abi­li­ties. What exci­tes me much more than Kat­ka­’s sin­ging is her orien­ta­ti­on towards music as a who­le. It’s excel­lent for me that Kat­ka leans towards more musi­cal gen­res. I firm­ly hope that Kat­ka will not sing pop. Wha­t’s gre­at is that Kat­ka can impro­vi­se, even in a live per­for­man­ce – an unmis­ta­kab­le sign of talent and skill. Kat­ka has one enor­mous advan­ta­ge; she has the gift of com­mu­ni­ca­ting with peop­le. She has excel­lent pre­re­qu­isi­tes for ​“lis­te­ning.” She moved excep­ti­onal­ly well on sta­ge during Supers­tar, fee­ling com­for­tab­le on it. She cho­se songs that were not very melo­dic – it was a tough jour­ney, but thank­ful­ly, a suc­cess­ful one. During her per­for­man­ces, you can feel joy ema­na­ting from her, and the­re is an inc­re­dib­le amount of emo­ti­on in her voice. Kat­ka Koš­čo­vá gai­ned popu­la­ri­ty as the win­ner of the first sea­son of the com­pe­ti­ti­on ​“Slo­ven­sko hľa­dá SuperS­tar” (Slo­va­kia­’s Got Talent). She was born on Sep­tem­ber 22, 1982, in Mar­tin, Slo­va­kia. In 2004, she par­ti­ci­pa­ted in the ini­tial rounds of the ​“Slo­ven­sko hľa­dá SuperS­tar” com­pe­ti­ti­on, whe­re she was selec­ted by the jud­ges and vie­wers to advan­ce to the main com­pe­ti­ti­on. Throug­hout the com­pe­ti­ti­on, she won hearts with her excep­ti­onal voice and musi­cal talent. On Decem­ber 25, 2004, she emer­ged as the win­ner of the first sea­son, beco­ming the first Slo­vak Superstar.

Album: Ešte sa nepoznáme

Cel­ko­vo album pre mňa vyznel ako úspeš­ný. Kat­ka vypro­du­ko­va­la diel­ko pre nároč­nej­šie­ho poslu­chá­ča. Viem, kto­ré sklad­by boli nasa­de­né do rádií, a s výbe­rom som po vypo­ču­tí albu­mu nespo­koj­ný. Osob­ne by som vybral sklad­by 6, 8, 9, 5. Jedi­ná sklad­ba, kto­rá sa mi nepá­či je 10. Od debu­tu som toľ­ko neča­kal. Čas­to v oko­lí počú­vam, že album je nemast­ný, nesla­ný. Chá­pem ten­to pohľad, ale nez­die­ľam ho. Vtip je v náhľa­de na hud­bu, dokon­ca by som pove­dal, že aj tro­chu na ume­nie vôbec. Album Kat­ky nie je urče­ný pre masy.

Album: ​“Ešte sa nepoznáme”

Ove­rall, the album sounds suc­cess­ful to me. Kat­ka has pro­du­ced a pie­ce for a more deman­ding lis­te­ner. I know which songs were pla­y­ed on the radio, and I am dis­sa­tis­fied with the selec­ti­on after lis­te­ning to the album. Per­so­nal­ly, I would cho­ose songs 6, 8, 9, 5. The only song I don’t like is 10. I did­n’t expect that from a debut. I often hear around me that the album is unins­pi­ring, unim­pres­si­ve. I unders­tand this view, but I don’t sha­re it. The essen­ce is in the per­spec­ti­ve on music, even in art in gene­ral. Kat­ka­’s album is not inten­ded for the masses.
