Nová Lesná

Z Novej Les­nej je krás­ny výhľad na celý hlav­ný masív Vyso­kých Tatier. Nová Les­ná ponú­ka skve­lý pries­tor pre milov­ní­kov turis­ti­ky, lyžo­va­nia (Peter Kac­lík). Obec leží na sty­ku Pop­rad­skej kot­li­ny a juho­vý­chod­né­ho úpä­tia Vyso­kých Tatier. Žije tu 1250 oby­va­te­ľov. Prvá písom­ná zmien­ku je už z roku 1315, zalo­ži­li ju Ber­ze­vic­zy­ov­ci. Oby­va­teľ­stvo bolo v hoj­nom počte nemec­ké. V obci pôso­bil ako uči­teľ Ján Stiel (1805 – 1890), kto­ré­mu sa pri­pi­su­je prven­stvo vo výstu­pe na Ger­la­chov­ský štít. Po vysťa­ho­va­ní Nemcov obec chát­ra­la. Dnes sa oby­va­te­lia zaobe­ra­jú aj rôz­ny­mi služ­ba­mi v ces­tov­nom ruchu, počet­né sú pen­zi­ó­ny. Kaž­do­roč­ne v lete sa koná medzi­ná­rod­né atle­tic­ké podu­ja­tie – beh do vrchu z obce na Hre­bie­nok (vyso​ke​-tat​ry​.info).

From Nová Les­ná, the­re is a beau­ti­ful view of the enti­re main mas­sif of the High Tatras. Nová Les­ná offers a gre­at spa­ce for hiking and ski­ing ent­hu­siasts, as men­ti­oned by Peter Kac­lík. The vil­la­ge is loca­ted at the junc­ti­on of the Pop­rad Basin and the sout­he­ast foot­hills of the High Tatras. It is home to 1,250 resi­dents. The first writ­ten men­ti­on dates back to 1315, and it was foun­ded by the Ber­ze­vic­zy fami­ly. The popu­la­ti­on was pre­do­mi­nan­tly Ger­man. In the vil­la­ge, the tea­cher Ján Stiel (1805 – 1890) wor­ked, cre­di­ted with the first ascent of Ger­la­chov­ský štít. After the depar­tu­re of Ger­mans, the vil­la­ge fell into dec­li­ne. Today, resi­dents are also invol­ved in vari­ous ser­vi­ces rela­ted to tou­rism, and the­re are nume­rous guest­hou­ses. Eve­ry sum­mer, an inter­na­ti­onal athle­tic event takes pla­ce – a hill run from the vil­la­ge to Hre­bie­nok (vyso​ke​-tat​ry​.info).
