Čo všet­ko zna­me­ná akva­ris­ti­ka? Pokú­sim sa krát­ko o tom napí­sať. Skú­se­nej­ší si urči­te dob­re pamä­tá­me aké to bolo, keď sme sa kedy­si dáv­no roz­hod­li cho­vať doma svo­je prvé rybič­ky. Pohnút­ky, kto­ré nás k tomu vied­li boli čas­to emo­tív­ne, čo bolo v kaž­dom prí­pa­de vhod­né, len­že išlo o živé tvo­ry, pre­to by sa nám vte­dy neja­ký roz­um hodil. Skú­se­nej­ších akva­ris­tov mož­no zauj­me môj pohľad, kto­rý má sna­hu byť objek­tív­ny, inšpi­ru­jú­ci a zro­zu­mi­teľ­ný. Foto­gra­fie pou­ži­té v tom­to člán­ku ilus­tru­jú výsled­ky sna­že­nia mno­hých akva­ris­tov a sú záro­veň aj názor­ným prí­kla­dom rôz­ne­ho úče­lu nádr­ží – od funkč­né­ho až po estetické.

Tak, poď­me na to ! :-)). Pred­stav­me si situ­áciu: chcem akvá­ri­um, Čo ďalej? . Nezá­le­ží na veku, vždy je fajn, ak pozná­me prob­le­ma­ti­ku, čiže ak nás napad­ne mať doma kúsok prí­ro­dy, je dôle­ži­té sa tou­to myš­lien­kou váž­ne zaobe­rať. Tre­ba si uve­do­miť, že to nie je hrač­ka, ale­bo vec, kto­rá sa pou­ži­je a môže sa zaho­diť – ryby, vod­né rast­li­ny, kre­ve­ty, sli­má­ky, napo­kon aj mik­ro­or­ga­niz­my v akvá­riu sú živé tvo­ry, kto­ré je nut­né si vážiť a chrá­niť ich. Pek­né fareb­né rybič­ky sa páčia asi kaž­dé­mu a nevi­dím na tom nič zlé ten­to vzťah roz­ví­jať. Mla­dý akva­ris­ta by mal roz­ví­jať svoj obdiv voči rybám, vod­ným rast­li­nám, prí­pad­ne voči akvá­riu ako cel­ku aj v jeho jed­not­li­vos­tiach. To zna­me­ná, že tre­ba cho­diť do rôz­nych akva­ris­tic­kých obcho­dov, prí­pad­ne tí šťast­nej­ší môžu zájsť ku cho­va­te­ľo­vi. Neod­po­rú­čam sa prí­liš spo­lie­hať na Inter­net. Nabá­dam k tomu, aby sa náš obdiv neorien­to­val len na ​„neja­kú čer­ve­nú“, ale­bo ​„mod­rú rybič­ku”, ale aby prí­pad­ný adept zís­kal aspoň tro­chu pre­hľad. Náv­šte­va zoolo­gic­kej ale­bo bota­nic­kej záh­ra­dy je vhod­ná, pokoj­ne aj takej, kde vôbec akvá­ria nie sú – mys­lím si, že ak člo­vek pre­ja­vu­je cit voči rybám, urči­te sa pre­ja­ví aj voči iným zvie­ra­tám. Odpo­rú­čam napr. ZOO Leš­ná, Tro­pi­ká­rium Buda­pešť, ZOO Buda­pešť, Arbo­ré­tum Tesár­ske Mly­ňa­ny. V prí­pa­de, že záu­jem zotr­vá, prí­pad­ne sa pre­hĺbi a poten­ciál­ny akva­ris­ta bude násto­jiť na akvá­riu aj vo svo­jej domác­nos­ti, poob­ze­ral by som sa po infor­má­ciách. Sia­hol by som v prvom rade po kla­sic­kej akva­ris­tic­kej lite­ra­tú­re, v kaž­dom prí­pa­de aj po neja­kej star­šej. Nepo­kla­dám za vhod­né poslúch­nuť tren­dy moder­nej akva­ris­ti­ky, prí­pad­ne obchod­ný záu­jem pre­daj­cu akva­ris­tic­kej tech­ni­ky a nakú­piť výkon­né a ​“zázrač­né“ tech­nic­ké a iné pomôc­ky. Pýta­te sa pre­čo? Tech­ni­ka je pokro­či­lá a výkon­ná, ale zvá­dza k tomu, aby sa člo­vek neza­obe­ral tým, ako fun­gu­je. Okrem toho, prí­pad­né prvot­né neús­pe­chy pri dra­hej tech­ni­ke vedia pôso­biť dep­ri­mu­jú­co. Mno­hé pomôc­ky sú skôr ​“bež­ca­mi na dlhé tra­te” – napr. von­kaj­ší fil­ter je výbor­ná vec, ale poriad­ne fun­gu­je po pomer­ne dlhej dobe. Nie­kto­ré iné pomôc­ky majú mať naopak opač­ný úči­nok – majú za úlo­hu veľ­mi rých­lo dostať akvá­ri­um do dob­ré­ho sta­vu – nie som vôbec zás­tan­com tých­to super vodi­čiek a super urých­ľo­va­čov. Pri­rov­nal by som to napr. k postu­pu v prá­ci – veľa naj­mä mla­dých ľudí chce byť čo naj­rých­lej­šie mana­žér­mi, ale nič poriad­ne neve­dia uro­biť. Aj v akva­ris­ti­ke je lep­šie začí­nať od začiat­ku, všet­ko si trpez­li­vo pre­žiť, poro­zu­mieť a potom neskôr pokoj­ne prejsť ku drah­šej výkon­nej technike.

Rád by som pri­po­me­nul, že dob­rá kni­ha sa nemu­sí nut­ne nachá­dzať v kníh­ku­pec­tve, ani v akva­ris­tic­kom obcho­de. A nemu­sí sa hneď kupo­vať – kni­hy sa dajú poži­čať v kniž­ni­ciach – a trú­fam si pove­dať, že výber tam bude väč­ší a asi aj kva­lit­nej­ší. Osob­ne by som odpo­rú­čal nájsť neja­kú kni­hu od Sta­ni­sla­va Fran­ka, Rufol­fa Zuka­la, Zdeň­ka Dra­ho­tuš­ské­ho, či Jin­dři­cha Nová­ka. Dneš­né kni­hy plné krás­nych fotiek by som skôr odpo­ru­čil pre prvú fázu, kto­rú som vyš­šie spo­me­nul – pre fázu obdi­vo­va­nia. V kaž­dom prí­pa­de by som však s infor­má­cia­mi nakla­dal opatr­ne. Ak nemá­te skú­se­nos­ti, je ťaž­ké posú­diť, či je zdroj infor­má­cií vhod­ný. Čo sa týka Inter­ne­tu, tak je to médium veľ­mi širo­ké, ale zväč­ša veľ­mi nese­ri­óz­ne. Posky­tu­je nesku­toč­né množ­stvo infor­má­cií, aj množ­stvo kva­lit­ných, a inde sa nevys­ky­tu­jú­cich, ale tre­ba odde­liť zrno od pliev, nuž a s tým má istot­ne začia­toč­ník prob­lém. Tým­to chcem upo­zor­niť, že netre­ba veriť kaž­dé­mu zdro­ju, je vhod­né si vždy infor­má­cie pre­ve­riť. What does aqu­arium kee­ping mean? I will try to wri­te brief­ly about it. More expe­rien­ced hob­by­ists sure­ly remem­ber how it was when they deci­ded to keep the­ir first fish at home long ago. The moti­va­ti­ons that led us to this were often emo­ti­onal, which was suitab­le in any case, but the­se were living beings, so some kno­wled­ge would have been use­ful. More expe­rien­ced hob­by­ists might be inte­res­ted in my per­spec­ti­ve, which aims to be objec­ti­ve, ins­pi­ring, and unders­tan­dab­le. The pho­tos used in this artic­le illu­stra­te the results of the efforts of many hob­by­ists and ser­ve as a demon­stra­ti­ve exam­ple of the vari­ous pur­po­ses of tanks – from func­ti­onal to aesthetic.

A young hob­by­ist should cul­ti­va­te admi­ra­ti­on for fish, aqu­atic plants, and the aqu­arium as a who­le and its indi­vi­du­al com­po­nents. This means visi­ting vari­ous aqu­arium sto­res or, if luc­ky, bre­e­ders. I do not recom­mend rely­ing too much on the Inter­net. I encou­ra­ge cul­ti­va­ting admi­ra­ti­on not only for ​“some red” or ​“blue fish” but for the poten­tial ent­hu­siast to gain at least a bit of an over­view. Visi­ting a zoo or bota­ni­cal gar­den is suitab­le, even one wit­hout aqu­ariums. I belie­ve that if some­one sho­ws affec­ti­on for fish, it will mani­fest towards other ani­mals. I recom­mend pla­ces like ZOO Leš­ná, Tro­pi­ca­rium Buda­pest, ZOO Buda­pest, Arbo­re­tum Tesár­ske Mly­ňa­ny. If inte­rest per­sists, or dee­pens, and the poten­tial hob­by­ist insists on having an aqu­arium at home, I would look for infor­ma­ti­on. I would turn first to clas­si­cal aqu­arium lite­ra­tu­re, possib­ly somet­hing older. I don’t think it’s app­rop­ria­te to fol­low modern aqu­arium trends or the com­mer­cial inte­rest of an aqu­arium equ­ip­ment sel­ler, buy­ing power­ful and ​“mira­cu­lous” tech­ni­cal tools. You may ask why? The tech­no­lo­gy is advan­ced and effi­cient, but it tempts peop­le not to del­ve into how it works. Besi­des, ini­tial fai­lu­res with expen­si­ve equ­ip­ment can be dis­cou­ra­ging. Many tools are more like ​“marat­hon run­ners” – for exam­ple, an exter­nal fil­ter is an excel­lent thing, but it works well after a rela­ti­ve­ly long time. Some other tools are sup­po­sed to have the oppo­si­te effect – to get the aqu­arium into good con­di­ti­on very quick­ly – I am not a fan of the­se super con­duc­tors and acce­le­ra­tors. I would com­pa­re it, for exam­ple, to a care­er – many young peop­le want to beco­me mana­gers as quick­ly as possib­le, but they don’t know how to do anyt­hing pro­per­ly. Simi­lar­ly, in aqu­arium kee­ping, it’s bet­ter to start from the begin­ning, expe­rien­ce eve­ryt­hing patien­tly, unders­tand it, and later, if neces­sa­ry, move on to more expen­si­ve and effi­cient technology.

I would like to remind you that a good book does­n’t neces­sa­ri­ly have to be found in a books­to­re or an aqu­arium sto­re. It does­n’t even have to be bought right away – books can be bor­ro­wed from lib­ra­ries – and I dare say the selec­ti­on the­re will be more exten­si­ve and pro­bab­ly of bet­ter quali­ty. Per­so­nal­ly, I would recom­mend fin­ding a book by Sta­ni­slav Frank, Rufolf Zukal, Zde­něk Dra­ho­tuš­ský, or Jin­dřich Novák. I would recom­mend toda­y­’s books full of beau­ti­ful pho­tos for the first pha­se, which I men­ti­oned ear­lier – for the admi­ra­ti­on pha­se. Außer­dem kön­nen anfän­gli­che Mis­ser­fol­ge mit teurer Aus­rüs­tung ent­mu­ti­gend sein. Vie­le Werk­ze­uge sind eher ​“Lang­strec­ken­lä­u­fer” – zum Beis­piel ist ein exter­ner Fil­ter eine aus­ge­ze­ich­ne­te Sache, aber er funk­ti­oniert erst nach einer rela­tiv lan­gen Zeit rich­tig. Eini­ge ande­re Werk­ze­uge sol­len den entge­gen­ge­setz­ten Effekt haben – das Aqu­arium sehr schnell in einen guten Zus­tand zu ver­set­zen – ich bin kein Fan die­ser Super­le­i­ter und Besch­le­uni­ger. Ich wür­de es zum Beis­piel mit einer Kar­rie­re verg­le­i­chen – vie­le jun­ge Leute wol­len so schnell wie mög­lich Mana­ger wer­den, aber sie wis­sen nicht, wie sie etwas rich­tig machen sol­len. Eben­so ist es in der Aqu­aris­tik bes­ser, von vor­ne anzu­fan­gen, alles gedul­dig zu erle­ben, zu vers­te­hen und spä­ter, wenn nötig, zu teurer und leis­tungs­fä­hi­ger Tech­nik überzugehen.

Ich möch­te daran erin­nern, dass ein gutes Buch nicht unbe­dingt im Buc­hla­den oder im Aqu­aris­tik­ges­chäft zu fin­den sein muss. Es muss nicht ein­mal sofort gekauft wer­den – Bücher kön­nen in Bib­li­ot­he­ken aus­ge­lie­hen wer­den – und ich traue mich zu sagen, dass die Auswahl dort größer und wahrs­che­in­lich von bes­se­rer Quali­tät sein wird. Per­sön­lich wür­de ich emp­feh­len, ein Buch von Sta­ni­slav Frank, Rufolf Zukal, Zde­něk Dra­ho­tuš­ský oder Jin­dřich Novák zu fin­den. Heuti­ge Bücher vol­ler schöner Fotos wür­de ich eher für die ers­te Pha­se emp­feh­len, die ich oben erwähnt habe – für die Bewun­de­rungsp­ha­se. In jedem Fall wür­de ich mit Infor­ma­ti­onen vor­sich­tig umge­hen. Wenn Sie kei­ne Erfah­rung haben, ist es sch­wie­rig zu beur­te­i­len, ob die Infor­ma­ti­on­squ­el­le gee­ig­net ist. Was das Inter­net bet­rifft, ist es ein sehr bre­i­tes Medium, aber im All­ge­me­i­nen sehr unse­ri­ös. Es lie­fert eine unglaub­li­che Men­ge an Infor­ma­ti­onen, auch vie­le quali­ta­tiv hoch­wer­ti­ge, die ander­swo nicht zu fin­den sind, aber man muss die Spreu vom Wei­zen tren­nen, und das ist für Anfän­ger sicher­lich ein Prob­lem. Ich möch­te darauf hin­we­i­sen, dass man nicht jedem Quel­le glau­ben soll­te; es ist immer rat­sam, die Infor­ma­ti­onen zu über­prüfen.
