Aulo­no­ca­ra sp. OB je druh cich­li­dy, kto­rý pat­rí do čeľa­de Cich­li­dae. ​“OB” zna­me­ná ​“Oran­ge Blot­ched,” čo odka­zu­je na oran­žo­vé škvr­ny na ich tele. Tie­to cich­li­dy sú pôvo­dom z jaze­ra Mala­wi v Afri­ke. Samec Aulo­no­ca­ra sp. OB je obvyk­le fareb­nej­ší a pes­trej­ší ako sami­ca. Ich telo je plo­ché a okrúh­le, a doras­ta­jú do veľ­kos­ti pri­bliž­ne 10 – 15 cen­ti­met­rov v akvá­riu. Okrem oran­žo­vých škvŕn môžu mať aj iné fareb­né prv­ky vrá­ta­ne mod­rej, žltej a čier­nej. Pre­fe­ru­jú akvá­ri­um so skal­na­tým pro­stre­dím, kto­ré simu­lu­je ich pri­ro­dze­né pro­stre­die v jaze­re Mala­wi. Voda by mala byť mier­ne alka­lic­ká a s tvrdo­s­ťou od 10 do 20 dH. Pri cho­ve s iný­mi druh­mi je potreb­ná opatr­nosť, pre­to­že môžu byť agre­sív­ne, naj­mä počas obdo­bia rozmnožovania.

Aulo­no­ca­ra sp. OB is a spe­cies of cich­lid belo­n­ging to the fami­ly Cich­li­dae. ​“OB” stands for ​“Oran­ge Blot­ched,” refer­ring to the oran­ge spots on the­ir bodies. The­se cich­lids ori­gi­na­te from Lake Mala­wi in Afri­ca. The male Aulo­no­ca­ra sp. OB is typi­cal­ly more color­ful and vib­rant than the fema­le. The­ir bodies are flat and round, rea­ching a size of app­ro­xi­ma­te­ly 10 – 15 cen­ti­me­ters in an aqu­arium. In addi­ti­on to oran­ge spots, they may exhi­bit other color ele­ments, inc­lu­ding blue, yel­low, and black. They pre­fer an aqu­arium with a roc­ky envi­ron­ment that simu­la­tes the­ir natu­ral habi­tat in Lake Mala­wi. The water should be slight­ly alka­li­ne with a hard­ness ran­ging from 10 to 20 dH. Cau­ti­on is needed when kee­ping them with other spe­cies, as they can be agg­res­si­ve, espe­cial­ly during the bre­e­ding period.

Sie bevor­zu­gen ein Aqu­arium mit einer fel­si­gen Umge­bung, die ihren natür­li­chen Lebens­raum im Mala­wi­see simu­liert. Das Was­ser soll­te leicht alka­lisch sein und eine Här­te von 10 bis 20 dH aufwe­i­sen. Vor­sicht ist gebo­ten, wenn sie mit ande­ren Arten gehal­ten wer­den, da sie beson­ders wäh­rend der Brut­ze­it agg­res­siv sein können.
