Telč is a town located in the Jihlava District of the Czech Republic. With a population of approximately 5,200, it is best known for its historic town center. Telč lies in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The town is surrounded by ponds, and the Telč Stream flows through the center, joining the Dyje River south of the town. The first written record of Telč dates back to 1335. In the mid-14th century, a Gothic castle was built here, and a fortified town developed around it. In the 16th century, under the rule of Zacharias of Hradec, Telč underwent significant reconstruction. The original Gothic castle was converted into a Renaissance chateau, and the townhouses around the square were given Renaissance facades with arcades. These changes made Telč one of the most beautiful Renaissance towns in Central Europe (en.wikipedia.org).

According to legend, the founding of Telč is associated with Prince Otto II in the year 1099. He is said to have established a chapel, later a church, and a settlement—today’s Old Town—as a memorial to his victory. Since 1339, Telč came under the control of the Lords of Hradec (Jindřichův Hradec). In 1423, Telč was captured by the Hussites under the leadership of Jan Hvězda of Vícemilice. In the 18th century, the Lichtenstein-Kastelkorn family took over the Telč estate. Shortly afterward, the Podstatský family united both lineages. The Podstatský-Lichtenstein family managed the estate until 1945 when its last members were expelled to Austria (Ilona Jenčíková).

The town’s most prominent feature is Zacharias of Hradec Square, a triangular square lined with Renaissance and Baroque townhouses with distinctive gables and arcades. In the center of the square stands a fountain and a Marian plague column. Notable buildings include the town hall, the Church of the Holy Spirit, and the parish Church of St. James (whc.unesco.org). Telč Chateau is one of the best-preserved Renaissance chateaus in the Czech Republic. It is surrounded by an English-style park, and its interiors feature original Renaissance and Baroque furnishings (en.wikipedia.org). The historic center of Telč was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1992 (Ilona Jenčíková).

The chateau has also served as a filming location for well-known Czech fairy tale movies such as Proud Princess, How Princesses Are Awakened, and Hell’s Happiness (zamek-telc.eu). The town hosts a variety of cultural events, festivals, and exhibitions throughout the year. Due to its preservation and architectural richness, it is often referred to as the „Venice of Moravia“ (visitczechia.com).

Stromy čelia rôznym hrozbám, vrátane odlesňovania, klimatických zmien a chorôb. Odlesňovanie znižuje biodiverzitu a zvyšuje množstvo oxidu uhličitého v atmosfére.

stromov majú schopnosť zachytiť nádheru a pôsobivosť prírody v jedinom snímku.

Ich výrazné črty môžu vyprávať príbehy o histórii a živote v ich okolí. Kombinácia techniky, kreativity a vnímania krásy v každom jednotlivom strome môže viesť k tvorbe úžasných a dojemných fotografií.

Trees, with their distinctive trunks and branching crowns, stand as remarkable masterpieces of nature and serve as fundamental building blocks of ecosystems worldwide. These living organisms are incredibly efficient, resilient, and enduring. However, trees face various threats, including deforestation, climate change, and diseases. Deforestation reduces biodiversity and increases the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Climate changes may lead to the spread of diseases and unwanted species that can harm trees. Protecting trees involves maintaining their natural habitats, sustainable timber harvesting, and supporting research to address diseases and pests. Trees represent a key element of nature; their conservation and sustainable management are essential not only for their preservation but also for humanity.

Trees have a complex structure that enables them to thrive in various conditions. Their basic parts include roots, trunk, branches, leaves, and fruits. Roots anchor the tree in the soil and absorb nutrients, while the trunk provides support and houses the transport system for water and nutrients. Branches and leaves facilitate photosynthesis, the process by which trees use sunlight to produce energy and generate oxygen. Fruits contain seeds used for reproduction. Trees form extensive ecosystems that provide shelter and food for numerous organisms. Their trunks and branches serve as habitats for birds, insects, and other creatures. Trees help maintain soil quality and create a microclimate in their surroundings. Their significance in ecosystems also lies in capturing and storing carbon dioxide. Trees have economic importance, providing wood used in various industries, from construction to furniture production. Additionally, they supply raw materials for the paper industry, and many plants and medicinal compounds come from trees, contributing to cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications.

Photographing trees allows for the capture of the beauty and grandeur of nature in a single frame. Each tree, with its unique shape and character, offers photographers endless creative possibilities. The photographic interpretation of trees can showcase their majesty, resilience, and relationship with the environment. Composition and perspective play a crucial role in tree photography. Creating contrasts between trees and other elements of nature, such as mountains, lakes, or the sky, can add drama to the photograph. Experimenting with different angles, including low shots or capturing multiple branches, can yield unusual and captivating results. Light is a key factor in tree photography. Early morning or evening hours can create warm and soft lights that highlight the texture of the bark and the colors of the leaves. Contrastive light creates shadow play, adding drama to the image. Shots with striking sunlight rays or reflections can provide a beautiful and impactful effect. Fog can separate spaces and make even something as large as a tree stand out.

Tree photography sometimes captures not only the trees themselves but also the diversity of their surroundings. Including various plant species, flowers, or natural elements in the composition can add another dimension and color contrast. Likewise, capturing birds, insects, or other wildlife associated with tree life enhances the richness of the photograph. Many tree species stand out for their uniqueness and interest. Bonsai, sequoias, or ancient trees with distinctive shapes and age can be excellent subjects. Their remarkable features can tell stories about history and life in their environment. The combination of technique, creativity, and appreciation of beauty in each individual tree can lead to the creation of fascinating and poignant photographs.

Autumn is a beautiful and colorful season that captivates us with its palette of subtle shades and symbolizes the transition from warm summer days to cooler months. It manifests not only in the visual transformations of the landscape but also in people’s activities. One of the most striking signs of autumn nature is the colorful change in tree leaves. Green leaves gradually shift to shades of red, orange, and yellow. This phenomenon entices people into nature to admire this ever-changing beauty. The decrease in chlorophyll and the higher concentration of xanthophylls and carotenoids are responsible for this.

Autumn is a period of contrasts and transitions, showcasing nature’s magnificent transformation. This season provides us with an opportunity to pause, appreciate the beauty around us, and acknowledge the fruits of nature’s labor. Harvesting is another crucial aspect of autumn. Throughout the summer, fruits and crops, such as apples, grapes, blueberries, and pumpkins, ripen. Autumn is also a time when nature prepares for rest and the winter months. Trees shed their leaves, birds migrate to warmer places, and most plants begin to enter a dormant period. This period is often perceived as a time to don warmer clothing and prepare for colder days ahead.

Hits: 4662

V Piešťanoch má park svoju tradíciu a svoju váhu.

Rastú v nich viaceré naše, ale aj introdukované druhy, napr.: Abies concolor, Abies nordmanniana, Acer grosserii, Aesculus parviflora, Calocedrus decurrens, Calycanthus floridus, Campsis radicans, Catalpa bignonioides, Cercis siliquastrum, Chamaecyparis lawsoniana, Cryptomeria japonica, Ginkgo biloba, Gleditscia triacanthos, Hamamelis japonica, Hamamelis virginiana, Jasminum nudiflorum, Koelreuteria paniculata, Liriodendron tulipifera, Magnolia x soulangiana, Paulownia tomentosa, Picea pungens, Pinus wallichiana, Platanus x hybrida, Populus nigra italica, Quercus rubra, Taxodium distichum, Taxus baccata (Bača).

V parku žije veverička Sciurus vulgaris, ježko Erinaceus concolor, netopier raniak hrdzavý Nyctalus noctula, hniezdna kolónia havranov Corvus fragilegus. Ku bežným vtákom patrí brhlík Sitta europea, žlna Picus viridis, ďatle, slávik Luscinia megarhynchos, myšiarka ušatá Asio otus, sova lesná Strix aluco. V jazierkach sa vyskytuje skokan rapotavý Rana ridibunda, korytnačka písmenková Chrysemys scripta elegans (piestany.sk).

In , the park holds its own tradition and significance, occupying a substantial area of the city’s total land. The issue with Piešťany’s parks is the limited rejuvenation they undergo. Trees age, deteriorate, and new ones are not planted. The Municipal Park – Sad Andreja Kmeťa was established by Count Erdödy in the 18th century as a spa park (Drahovská A., Piešťanský týždeň). Today, it is named after the renowned museologist and biologist Andrej Kmeť. It covers an area of 212,235 m2 (TASR). Currently, this park holds the status of a national monument.

Piešťany’s parks are situated where dense alluvial forests originally stood. Numerous native and introduced species thrive in them, such as Abies concolor, Abies nordmanniana, Acer grosserii, Aesculus parviflora, Calocedrus decurrens, Calycanthus floridus, Campsis radicans, Catalpa bignonioides, Cercis siliquastrum, Chamaecyparis lawsoniana, Cryptomeria japonica, Ginkgo biloba, Gleditscia triacanthos, Hamamelis japonica, Hamamelis virginiana, Jasminum nudiflorum, Koelreuteria paniculata, Liriodendron tulipifera, Magnolia x soulangiana, Paulownia tomentosa, Picea pungens, Pinus wallichiana, Platanus x hybrida, Populus nigra italica, Quercus rubra, Taxodium distichum, Taxus baccata (Bača).

The park is home to the red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris), hedgehog (Erinaceus concolor), the rusty noctule bat (Nyctalus noctula), and a nesting colony of rooks (Corvus fragilegus). Common birds include the nuthatch (Sitta europea), European green woodpecker (Picus viridis), woodpeckers, nightingale (Luscinia megarhynchos), long-eared owl (Asio otus), and tawny owl (Strix aluco). In the ponds, you can find the edible frog (Rana ridibunda) and the red-eared slider turtle (Chrysemys scripta elegans) (piestany.sk).

Es wachsen dort verschiedene einheimische, aber auch eingeführte Arten, z.B.: Abies concolor, Abies nordmanniana, Acer grosserii, Aesculus parviflora, Calocedrus decurrens, Calycanthus floridus, Campsis radicans, Catalpa bignonioides, Cercis siliquastrum, Chamaecyparis lawsoniana, Cryptomeria japonica, Ginkgo biloba, Gleditsia triacanthos, Hamamelis japonica, Hamamelis virginiana, Jasminum nudiflorum, Koelreuteria paniculata, Liriodendron tulipifera, Magnolia x soulangiana, Paulownia tomentosa, Picea pungens, Pinus wallichiana, Platanus x hybrida, Populus nigra italica, Quercus rubra, Taxodium distichum, Taxus baccata (Bača).
