Firma Aqua World, nemecká SERA a česká SERA usporiadala 18.11.2007 odborný seminár spojený s prednáškou Hynka Dařbujána. Seminár sa konal v priestoroch hotela Kotva vo Veľkom Bieli. Bol určený majiteľom, vedúcim predajní a personálu predajní s pokročilými skúsenosťami a znalosťami. Zúčastnilo sa ho približne 40-50 záujemcov. Seminár prebiehal cca od 10:00 a končil po 17 hodine. O účastníkov bolo dobre postarané, dostali sme občerstvenie, obed, preklad z nemčiny bol zabezpečený. Prekladal Ing. Oldřich Šimeček z českej SERY a Ing. Ján Kolc z firmy AQUA WORLD. Z nášho klubu sme sa zúčastnili traja Petrovia :-) – Benčúrik, Neubauer a ja. Rád by som vám popísal zopár informácií, ktoré sa mi zdali užitočné. Prednášajúcimi boli Dieter Untergasser – vedecký poradca spoločnosti SERA GmbH a Ing. Hynek Dařbuján – odborník na a morskú akvaristiku. S týmito témami a v tomto poradí: Dieter Untergasser – Osvedčené riešenia častých problémov vedecky podložené, Hynek Dařbuján – Cesta po jazere a novinky medzi cichlidami, Dieter Untergasser – Liečenie, vrátane nových prípravkov, poskytnutie vlastných skúseností z testovania. Dieter Untergasser bol výborne pripravený, rozprával o širokej palete výrobkov, ktoré SERA produkuje, od krmív až po liečivá, výluhy a iné prípravky upravujúce vodu. Priznám sa, že som čakal ďaleko viac chvály na výrobky „svojej“ firmy, ale toho som sa nedočkal. Pán Untergasser mal pripravené aj pomôcky, na ktorých demonštroval účinky niektorých výrobkov na úpravu – napr. „Toxivecu“. Okrem iného som sa dozvedel, že SERA poskytuje najkompletnejšiu sadu krmív pre jednotlivé druhy rýb. Zistil som, že SERA označené značkou FD sú krmivá lyofilizované, čiže sušené silným mrazom. Možno aj vy poznáte Aquatan. Ja sám ho občas používam, keď prenášam , a stretol som sa s tým aj v niektorých akvaristických predajniach. Ryby sú po ňom pokojnejšie. Aquatan viaže ťažké kovy, chlór vo vode, chráni pokožku rýb, pôsobí proti stresu rýb tým že vplýva na ich nervovú sústavu. Avšak viacerým akvaristom vadil zápach Aquatanu po vitamíne B. Nový Aquatan tento zápach už nemá.

Najviac ma zaujali štyri výrobky: Toxivec, Phosvec, Siporax a Protazol. Toxivec je prípravok, ktorý odstraňuje škodlivé látky z vody ako napr. amónium, dusičnany, chlór, chloramín, ťažké kovy, liečivá. Phosvec je určený na odstránenie fosfátov z vody – prebytok fosfátov je príčinou rastu rias. Účinkuje tak, že vytvorí zrazeninu (zákal), ktorý sa odstráni filtráciou. 500 g Phosvec granulátu viaže až 12 500 mg fosfátov. Siporax je vysoko porézny samočistiaci materiál vhodný do biofiltra ako filtračné médium. Jeden liter siporaxu poskytne 270 m2 plochy pre nitrifikačné baktérie. Siporaxové valčeky sú zo skla, preto sú chemicky neutrálne. Protazol je prípravok proti jednobunkovým kožným parazitom – napr. proti krupičke. Účinná látka preniká bunkovou stenou parazita. Protazol vodu nefarbí.

Prednáška Hynka Dařbujána bola zaujímavá a navyše vtipne podaná. Prostredníctvom nej sme sa pozreli do sveta, ktorý je od nášho veľmi vzdialený, exotický. Hynek sa vyjadril aj tom, že Tanganika nie je práve najbezpečnejší región. Centrá obchodu, prístavy a asi všetko tam nielen vypadá inak ako u nás, ale často je to aj veľmi rozdielne od našich predstáv. Darmo, Tanganika je iná . Hynek spomenul, že by sa rád na toto jazero ešte vrátil, tak nech mu to vyjde :-). Seminár zakončil Untergasser školením o liečivách a chorobách. Jeho rozprávanie bolo veľmi podrobné. Na Internete dokonca môžete pána Untergassera nájsť pod pomenovaním „rybí doktor“.

The company Aqua World, German SERA, and Czech SERA organized a professional seminar with a lecture by Hynek Dařbuján on November 18, 2007. The seminar took place at the Kotva Hotel in Veľký Biel and was aimed at owners, store managers, and experienced ZOO store personnel. Approximately 40-50 enthusiasts attended the seminar, which ran from around 10:00 to 17:00. Participants were well taken care of with refreshments, lunch, and translation from German. Translators were Ing. Oldřich Šimeček from Czech SERA and Ing. Ján Kolc from Aqua World. Three members from our club participated – Petrová, Neubauer, and myself.

I would like to share some useful information from the seminar. The speakers were Dieter Untergasser, a scientific advisor to SERA GmbH, and Hynek Dařbuján, an expert on cichlids and marine aquaristics. The topics covered by Dieter Untergasser included proven solutions to common problems scientifically supported, treatment, including new preparations, and sharing personal experiences from testing. Untergasser spoke extensively about the range of products SERA produces, from feeds to medications, extracts, and other water conditioning products. He demonstrated the effects of some products on water treatment, such as „Toxivec.“

Four products that caught my attention were Toxivec, Phosvec, Siporax, and Protazol. Toxivec removes harmful substances from water, such as ammonium, nitrates, chlorine, chloramine, heavy metals, and medications. Phosvec is designed to remove phosphates from water, which cause algae growth. Siporax is a highly porous, self-cleaning material suitable for biofilters as a filtration medium. Protazol is a preparation against single-celled skin parasites, such as velvet disease.

Hynek Dařbuján’s lecture was interesting and humorously presented. Through it, we glimpsed into a world very different and exotic from ours. Hynek mentioned that Tanganyika is not the safest region, and he would like to return to this lake. The seminar concluded with Untergasser’s training on medications and diseases, providing detailed information. You can find Mr. Untergasser on the internet under the name „fish doctor.“

Firma Aqua World, die deutsche SERA und die tschechische SERA veranstalteten am 18.11.2007 ein Fachseminar mit dem Vortrag von Hynek Dařbuján. Das Seminar fand im Hotel Kotva in Velký Biel statt und richtete sich an Besitzer, Leiter von Geschäften und Personal von ZOO-Geschäften mit fortgeschrittenen Erfahrungen und Kenntnissen. Etwa 40-50 Interessenten nahmen daran teil. Das Seminar lief von etwa 10:00 Uhr bis 17:00 Uhr. Die Teilnehmer wurden gut versorgt, erhielten Verpflegung und Mittagessen, und die Übersetzung aus dem Deutschen wurde sichergestellt. Die Übersetzer waren Ing. Oldřich Šimeček von der tschechischen SERA und Ing. Ján Kolc von der Firma AQUA WORLD. Drei von unserem Klub haben teilgenommen – Benčúrik, Neubauer und ich. Ich würde Ihnen gerne einige Informationen mitteilen, die mir nützlich erschienen. Die Referenten waren Dieter Untergasser – wissenschaftlicher Berater der Firma SERA GmbH und Ing. Hynek Dařbuján – Experte für Buntbarsche und Meerwasseraquaristik. Mit diesen Themen und in dieser Reihenfolge: Dieter Untergasser – Bewährte Lösungen für häufige wissenschaftlich fundierte Probleme, Hynek Dařbuján – Reise durch den Tanganjikasee und Neuigkeiten bei den Buntbarschen, Dieter Untergasser – Behandlung, einschließlich neuer Präparate, Bereitstellung eigener Erfahrungen aus Tests. Dieter Untergasser war sehr gut vorbereitet, sprach über die breite Palette von Produkten, die SERA herstellt, von Futtermitteln bis hin zu Heilmitteln, Extrakten und anderen Wasserbehandlungsprodukten. Ich muss zugeben, dass ich viel mehr Lob für die Produkte meiner Firma erwartet hatte, aber das blieb aus. Herr Untergasser hatte auch Utensilien vorbereitet, anhand derer er die Wirkung einiger Produkte auf die Wasserbehandlung demonstrierte, zum Beispiel „Toxivec“. Unter anderem habe ich erfahren, dass SERA das umfassendste Sortiment an Futtermitteln für verschiedene Fischarten anbietet. Ich habe festgestellt, dass mit der Bezeichnung FD gekennzeichnete SERA-Futtermittel lyophilisiert sind, also durch starken Frost getrocknet. Vielleicht kennen Sie auch Aquatan. Ich selbst benutze es manchmal, wenn ich Fische transportiere, und bin in einigen Zoohandlungen darauf gestoßen. Fische sind nach der Anwendung ruhiger. Aquatan bindet Schwermetalle, Chlor im Wasser, schützt die Haut der Fische und wirkt stressreduzierend, indem es auf ihr Nervensystem einwirkt. Aber vielen Aquarianern missfiel der Geruch von Aquatan nach Vitamin B. Der neue Aquatan hat diesen Geruch nicht mehr.

Vier Produkte haben mich besonders interessiert: Toxivec, Phosvec, Siporax und Protazol. Toxivec ist ein Präparat, das schädliche Substanzen wie Ammonium, Nitrate, Chlor, Chloramin, Schwermetalle und Medikamente aus dem Wasser entfernt. Phosvec ist zur Entfernung von Phosphaten aus dem Wasser bestimmt – ein Überschuss an Phosphaten ist die Ursache für Algenwachstum. Es wirkt, indem es eine Fällung (Trübung) erzeugt, die durch Filtration entfernt wird. 500 g Phosvec-Granulat bindet bis zu 12.500 mg Phosphate. Siporax ist ein hochporöses, selbstreinigendes Material, das als Filtermedium in Biofiltern verwendet wird. Ein Liter Siporax bietet 270 m2 Oberfläche für nitrifizierende Bakterien. Siporax-Röllchen bestehen aus Glas, sind daher chemisch neutral. Protazol ist ein Präparat gegen einzellige Hautparasiten – zum Beispiel gegen die Krätze. Der wirksame Bestandteil dringt durch die Zellwand des Parasiten ein. Protazol färbt das Wasser nicht.

Der Vortrag von Hynek Dařbuján war interessant und außerdem humorvoll dargebracht. Durch ihn haben wir einen Blick in eine Welt geworfen, die sehr weit von unserer entfernt und exotisch ist. Hynek äußerte auch, dass Tanganjika nicht gerade die sicherste Region ist. Zentralmärkte, Häfen und wahrscheinlich alles dort sehen nicht nur anders als bei uns aus, sondern oft auch sehr unterschiedlich von unseren Vorstellungen. Nun ja, Tanganjika ist eine andere Kultur. Hynek erwähnte, dass er gerne wieder an diesen See zurückkehren würde, also möge ihm das gelingen :-). Das Seminar schloss Untergasser mit einer Schulung über Heilmittel und Krankheiten ab. Sein Vortrag war sehr detailliert. Im Internet können Sie Herrn Untergasser sogar unter dem Namen „Fischarzt“ finden.

Stretnutie Európskej kryptokorynárskej spoločnosti vo Viedni

17.-19.10.2008 sa konalo stretnutie „kryptokorynárov“ – Európskej kryptokorynárskej spoločnosti – ECS vo Viedni. Keďže sme sa o tom dozvedeli a Viedeň je z Bratislavy na skok, rozhodli sme sa, že sa pôjdeme na takéto podujatie pozrieť. Medzi akvaristami, resp. botanikmi sú aj naši známi, ktorí boli v minulosti ochotní vycestovať trebárs aj do Švajčiarska na podobné podujatie. ECS usporadúva totiž tieto akcie v rôznych krajinách. Keď to zhrniem, ja, Milo Pešek, Palo Sedlák a Jožko Kutálek sme si pozreli v piatok. Jožko Somogyi a Štefan Matuška absolvovali kompletný program, Jožko dokonca aj prednášal.

Nebol mi celkom známy kompletný program, navyše šlo aj o spoločenskú udalosť. Na programe víkendu boli vždy večer od 20:00 do polnoci prednášky. Cez deň sa chodí na takýchto akciách na nejakú exkurziu. Napr. do nejakej pestiarne rastlín, do rýb, nejakému akvaristovi, pestovateľovi vodných rastlín apod. Prípadne je plánovaná návšteva Botanickej alebo . Spoločne sa chodí na obed, na večeru apod. Účastníci majú zabezpečené ubytovanie. Tento rok sa zúčastnilo 35-40 záujemcov z celej Európy, dokonca sme videli exotické tváre snáď indického a filipínskeho, možno thajského pôvodu.

Prednášalo sa po nemecky, možná bola angličtina. V piatok a v sobotu sa mali prezentovať Kai Erik Witte, Stephan Karlick, Heinz Schöpfel, Alfred Waser, Peter Babics, Jozef Somogyi, Niels Jacobsen, Romeo Herr, Josef Bogner, Claus Kettner, Jan Bastmeijer. Témy prednášok sa venovali napr. Sarawaku, Thajským kryptokorynám, evolúcii, hnojeniu kryptokorýn, Cryptocoryne retrospiralis, C. nevilii, C. crudasiana, C. crispatula. Jozef Somogyi, ktorý mal prednášku na Akvaristickej zime 2007, prednášal o pestovaní kryptokorýn. Na konci piatkového programu sme sa rozlúčili, predovšetkým so Stephanom Karlickom a dostali sme pekné darčeky. Dozvedeli sme sa, že ECS veľmi rada videla nové tváre. V prípade, že vás kryptokoryny zaujímajú viac, určite by ste svojim zájmom Európsku kryptokorynársku spoločnosť potešili. Z Viedne sme odchádzali neskoro v spokojní. Ja som bol veľmi zvedavý na špecialistov, ktorí sú schopní a ochotní sa dať dokopy a niečo zmysluplné zorganizovať. Vzhľadom na to, že náš 29.-30.11.2008 poriada akciu venovanú vodným rastlinám, pozvali sme členov ECS na naše podujatie.

From October 17th to 19th, 2008, a meeting of „cryptocoryne enthusiasts“ – the European Cryptocoryne Society (ECS) – took place in Vienna. Since we learned about it, and Vienna is very close to , we decided to attend such an event. Among the aquarium hobbyists, or rather botanists, there are acquaintances of ours who were willing to travel to Switzerland for a similar event in the past. ECS organizes these events in various countries. In summary, Milo Pešek, Palo Sedlák, Jožko Kutálek, and I attended the lectures on Friday. Jožko Somogyi and Štefan Matuška completed the entire program, and Jožko even gave a lecture.

The complete program was not entirely known to me, and it was also a social event. The weekend program always included lectures from 8:00 PM to midnight. During the day at such events, there is usually an excursion planned, such as visiting a plant nursery, a fish farm, an aquarist, a water plant cultivator, etc. Alternatively, a visit to the Botanical Garden or the zoo is planned. Participants have lunch, dinner, etc., together. Accommodation is provided for the participants. This year, 35-40 enthusiasts from all over Europe attended the event, and we even saw some exotic faces, perhaps of Indian, Filipino, or Thai origin.

The lectures were in German, possibly in English. On Friday and Saturday, presentations were scheduled by Kai Erik Witte, Stephan Karlick, Heinz Schöpfel, Alfred Waser, Peter Babics, Jozef Somogyi, Niels Jacobsen, Romeo Herr, Josef Bogner, Claus Kettner, Jan Bastmeijer. Lecture topics covered Sarawak, Thai Cryptocorynes, evolution, fertilization of Cryptocorynes, Cryptocoryne retrospiralis, C. nevilii, C. crudasiana, C. crispatula. Jozef Somogyi, who had a lecture at the Aquarium Winter 2007, spoke about cultivating Cryptocorynes. At the end of Friday’s program, we said goodbye, especially to Stephan Karlick, and received nice gifts. We learned that ECS was very pleased to see new faces. If you are more interested in Cryptocorynes, you would certainly please the European Cryptocoryne Society with your interest. We left Vienna late at night, satisfied. I was very curious about specialists who are able and willing to come together and organize something meaningful. Considering that our klub.akva.sk is organizing an event dedicated to aquatic plants on November 29-30, 2008, we invited ECS members to our event.

Vom 17. bis 19. Oktober 2008 fand in Wien ein Treffen der „Cryptocorynen-Enthusiasten“ – der Europäischen Cryptocorynen-Gesellschaft (ECS) – statt. Da wir davon erfahren hatten und Wien von Bratislava aus leicht zu erreichen ist, beschlossen wir, an einer solchen Veranstaltung teilzunehmen. Unter den Aquarianern bzw. Botanikern gibt es Bekannte von uns, die in der Vergangenheit bereit waren, zu ähnlichen Veranstaltungen sogar in die Schweiz zu reisen. Die ECS organisiert solche Veranstaltungen in verschiedenen Ländern. Zusammenfassend nahmen Milo Pešek, Palo Sedlák, Jožko Kutálek und ich an den Vorträgen am Freitag teil. Jožko Somogyi und Štefan Matuška absolvierten das gesamte Programm, und Jožko hielt sogar einen Vortrag.

Mir war das vollständige Programm nicht vollständig bekannt, und es handelte sich auch um eine gesellschaftliche Veranstaltung. Das Wochenendprogramm umfasste immer Vorträge von 20:00 bis Mitternacht. Tagsüber steht bei solchen Veranstaltungen normalerweise eine Exkursion auf dem Programm, beispielsweise der Besuch einer Pflanzgärtnerei, einer Fischfarm, eines Aquarianers, eines Wasserpflanzenzüchters usw. Alternativ ist ein Besuch im Botanischen Garten oder im Zoo geplant. Die Teilnehmer haben gemeinsam Mittagessen, Abendessen usw. Die Unterkunft wird für die Teilnehmer bereitgestellt. In diesem Jahr nahmen 35-40 Enthusiasten aus ganz Europa an der Veranstaltung teil, und wir sahen sogar einige exotische Gesichter, möglicherweise indischer, philippinischer oder thailändischer Herkunft.

Die Vorträge waren auf Deutsch, möglicherweise auch auf Englisch. Am Freitag und Samstag waren Präsentationen von Kai Erik Witte, Stephan Karlick, Heinz Schöpfel, Alfred Waser, Peter Babics, Jozef Somogyi, Niels Jacobsen, Romeo Herr, Josef Bogner, Claus Kettner, Jan Bastmeijer geplant. Die Themen der Vorträge umfassten Sarawak, thailändische Cryptocorynen, Evolution, Düngung von Cryptocorynen, Cryptocoryne retrospiralis, C. nevilii, C. crudasiana, C. crispatula. Jozef Somogyi, der einen Vortrag beim Aquarium Winter 2007 gehalten hatte, sprach über die Kultivierung von Cryptocorynen. Am Ende des Freitagsprogramms verabschiedeten wir uns, besonders von Stephan Karlick, und erhielten schöne Geschenke. Wir erfuhren, dass die ECS sich sehr über neue Gesichter freute. Wenn Sie sich mehr für Cryptocorynen interessieren, würden Sie die Europäische Cryptocorynen-Gesellschaft sicherlich mit Ihrem Interesse erfreuen. Wir verließen Wien spät in der Nacht, zufrieden. Ich war sehr gespannt auf Fachleute, die in der Lage und bereit sind, sich zusammenzuschließen und etwas Sinnvolles zu organisieren. Angesichts dessen, dass unser klub.akva.sk am 29. bis 30. November 2008 eine Veranstaltung für Wasserpflanzen organisiert, haben wir Mitglieder der ECS zu unserer Veranstaltung eingeladen.

ZOO Zajac – chovateľský hypermarket v Duisburgu

Na prvý októbrový víkend v roku 2008, sme si my, partia z Bratislavy, z Brna a Žďáru nad Sázavou naplánovali akvaristickú lahôdku – návštevu nemeckého Duisburgu, konkrétne troch miest – pomerne známeho Zajac, veľtrhu Zierfische und Aquarium, kde sa konal 7. ročník Diskus Championat a jednej peknej akvaristiky Hobby ZOO Tillmann. Akciu zorganizoval brnenský klub Cyperus a chvalabohu za to. Mali sme zabezpečenú cestu „vlastným“ autobusom z Brna, ubytovanie, program. Partia z Bratislavy činila 8 osôb – dve . Skoro ráno 3. októbra sme sa presunuli do Brna, kde nás očakávala „spojka“ – Franta Csefay, ktorý nás usadil, a vďaka nemu a aj jeho osobnej prítomnosti sme sa bezproblémovo presunuli ku autobusu. Náš smer bol jasný – Duisburg. Čakalo nás viac ako 1000 km . Cesta trvala 12 hodín, ale asi si viete predstaviť, že o zábavu bolo postarané. Tam sme cestovali cez deň, v Žďári sme ešte naložili našich kamarátov zo Žďáru. Podľa môjho odhadu sme takmer naplnili celý autobus, asi 3-4 miesta zostali voľné. Asi 42 akvaristov bolo ochotných merať cestu do Duisburgu. Večer sme zdarne docestovali. Po ubytovaní sme sa viacerí vybrali do mesta. Veď predsa vyvstala otázka: Čo s načatým večerom? Naše prekvapenie bolo veľmi veľké – v Duisburgu vládol pokoj. Nechápali sme, prečo bol večerný Duisburg ľudoprázdny. Na širokých bulvároch bol len kde tu niekto. V reštauráciách sme mnohí sedeli sami aj viac ako hodinu. Z hotela sme sa vybrali snáď okolo 21-ej hodiny. Ráno nás po raňajkách čakal bohatý program. Začali sme návštevou ZOO Zajac.

ZOO Zajac by som opísal ako také menšie chovateľské TESCO. Slovom menšie myslím napr. jedno poschodie bratislavského Supermarketu TESCO v centre mesta. Na pomerne veľkej ploche sa nachádzali len „chovateľské potreby“. Už ruch na parkovisku pred ZOO Zajac bol veľký. Pripomínam, že bol pracovný deň po 10 hodine ráno. Vnútri bolo veľa ľudí, a poobede, keď sme sa sem ešte raz vrátili, doslova davy. Pred samotným vstupom bolo zopár stánkov a obchodov s občerstvením, snáď nejaké suveníry. Vnútri ma prekvapilo napr. to, že ten istý druh tovaru bol na viacerých miestach, aj asi s rôznou cenou. boli na troch, možno štyroch miestach. Mal som opticky dojem, že sú aj v rovnakých nádržiach, rovnako pekné a druhovo veľmi podobnej skladby. Páčilo sa mi to, myslím si, že pán Zajac vie čo robí. Zákazník má zrejme možnosť si vybrať, či sa bude orientovať na cenu, alebo na overenú značku, pričom je to urobené slušne – tovar sa navzájom „nevidí“. V ZOO Zajac som videl veľa produktov, ktoré u nás nie sú také dostupné, ale keďže som skôr chcel zaznamenať veci fotoaparátom, tak som sa nakupovaniu veľmi nevenoval. Až tesne pred odchodom som kúpil štyri pekné tenké , ktoré som už asi 3 roky zháňal. Budú skrášľovať rastlinné akvárium. Zo ZOO Zajac sme sa presunuli na akvaristický veľtrh Zierfische und Aquarium.

On the first weekend of October 2008, our group from , , and Žďár nad Sázavou planned an aquarium delight – a visit to the German city of Duisburg, specifically three places – the relatively well-known Zajac Zoo, the Zierfische und Aquarium fair, where the 7th edition of the Diskus Championat took place, and one beautiful aquarium store, Hobby ZOO Tillmann. The event was organized by the Brno club Cyperus, and thank goodness for that. We had arranged transportation with our „own“ bus from Brno, accommodation, and a program. The Bratislava group consisted of 8 people with two cars. Early in the morning on October 3rd, we headed to Brno, where the „connector“ – Franta Csefay was waiting for us. He settled us, and thanks to him and his presence, we easily moved to the bus. Our direction was clear – Duisburg. More than 1000 km of travel awaited us. The journey took 12 hours, but you can imagine that entertainment was taken care of. We traveled during the day, and in Žďár, we picked up our friends from Žďár. According to my estimate, we almost filled the entire bus; about 3-4 seats remained vacant. About 42 aquarists were willing to make the trip to Duisburg. We successfully arrived in the evening. After accommodation, many of us went to the city. Because the question arose: What to do with the started evening? Our surprise was significant – Duisburg was calm. We couldn’t understand why Duisburg in the evening was deserted. There were few people on the wide boulevards. In restaurants, many of us sat alone for more than an hour. We left the hotel around 9 PM. In the morning, after breakfast, a rich program awaited us. We started with a visit to Zajac Zoo.

Zajac Zoo could be described as a smaller breeding TESCO. By „smaller,“ I mean, for example, one floor of the TESCO supermarket in the center of Bratislava. Only „breeding supplies“ were located on a relatively large area. The noise in the parking lot in front of Zajac Zoo was significant. I remind you that it was a working day after 10 AM. Inside, many people were present, and in the afternoon, when we returned here once again, literally crowds. In front of the entrance, there were a few stalls and refreshment shops, perhaps some souvenirs. Inside, I was surprised, for example, that the same type of goods was in several places, possibly at different prices. Water plants were in three, maybe four places. I had the optical impression that they were also in the same tanks, equally beautiful and species-wise very similar. I liked it; I think Mr. Zajac knows what he is doing. The customer probably has the opportunity to choose whether to focus on price or a trusted brand, and it’s done decently – the goods do not „see“ each other. In Zajac Zoo, I saw many products that are not so accessible to us, but since I wanted to capture things with a camera, I didn’t pay much attention to shopping. Just before leaving, I bought four beautiful thin roots that I had been looking for for about 3 years. They will beautify the planted aquarium. From Zajac Zoo, we moved on to the Zierfische und Aquarium fair.

Am ersten Oktoberwochenende 2008 hatten wir, eine Gruppe aus Bratislava, Brünn und Žďár nad Sázavou, ein Aquarium-Highlight geplant – einen Besuch in der deutschen Stadt Duisburg, genauer gesagt an drei Orten – dem relativ bekannten Zajac Zoo, der Messe Zierfische und Aquarium, wo die 7. Ausgabe des Diskus Championats stattfand, und einem schönen Aquariumgeschäft, Hobby ZOO Tillmann. Die Veranstaltung wurde vom Brünner Club Cyperus organisiert, Gott sei Dank dafür. Wir hatten eine Fahrt mit unserem „eigenen“ Bus aus Brünn, Unterkunft und ein Programm arrangiert. Die Gruppe aus Bratislava bestand aus 8 Personen mit zwei Autos. Früh am Morgen des 3. Oktober machten wir uns auf den Weg nach Brünn, wo der „Verbinder“ – Franta Csefay auf uns wartete. Er brachte uns unter, und dank ihm und seiner Anwesenheit bewegten wir uns problemlos zum Bus. Unsere Richtung war klar – Duisburg. Über 1000 km Reise erwarteten uns. Die Reise dauerte 12 Stunden, aber Sie können sich vorstellen, dass für Unterhaltung gesorgt war. Wir reisten tagsüber, und in Žďár holten wir unsere Freunde aus Žďár ab. Nach meiner Schätzung haben wir fast den gesamten Bus gefüllt; etwa 3-4 Plätze blieben leer. Etwa 42 Aquarianer waren bereit, die Reise nach Duisburg anzutreten. Wir kamen erfolgreich am Abend an. Nach der Unterbringung gingen viele von uns in die Stadt. Denn die Frage stellte sich: Was tun mit dem begonnenen Abend? Unsere Überraschung war erheblich – Duisburg war ruhig. Wir konnten nicht verstehen, warum Duisburg abends menschenleer war. Auf den breiten Boulevards waren nur wenige Menschen. In Restaurants saßen viele von uns alleine für mehr als eine Stunde. Wir verließen das Hotel gegen 21 Uhr. Am Morgen erwartete uns nach dem Frühstück ein reichhaltiges Programm. Wir begannen mit einem Besuch im Zajac Zoo.

Den Zajac Zoo könnte man als ein kleineres züchterisches TESCO beschreiben. Mit „kleiner“ meine ich zum Beispiel einen Stock des TESCO-Supermarkts im Zentrum von Bratislava. Auf einer relativ großen Fläche befanden sich nur „Zuchtvorräte“. Der Lärm auf dem Parkplatz vor dem Zajac Zoo war er

heblich. Ich erinnere daran, dass es an einem Werktag nach 10 Uhr morgens war. Drinnen waren viele Leute, und am Nachmittag, als wir hier noch einmal zurückkehrten, regelrechte Menschenmengen. Vor dem Eingang gab es einige Stände und Verkaufsläden mit Erfrischungen, vielleicht auch Souvenirs. Drinnen hat mich zum Beispiel überrascht, dass derselbe Warentyp an mehreren Stellen war, vielleicht zu unterschiedlichen Preisen. Wasserpflanzen waren an drei, vielleicht vier Stellen. Ich hatte den optischen Eindruck, dass sie auch in denselben Tanks waren, gleich schön und artenmäßig sehr ähnlich. Mir hat es gefallen; Ich denke, Herr Zajac weiß, was er tut. Der Kunde hat wahrscheinlich die Möglichkeit zu wählen, ob er sich auf den Preis oder eine vertrauenswürdige Marke konzentrieren möchte, und es ist anständig gemacht – die Waren sehen sich nicht gegenseitig. Im Zajac Zoo habe ich viele Produkte gesehen, die für uns nicht so zugänglich sind, aber da ich Dinge mit einer Kamera festhalten wollte, habe ich dem Einkaufen nicht viel Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt. Kurz vor dem Verlassen kaufte ich vier schöne dünne Wurzeln, die ich seit etwa 3 Jahren gesucht hatte. Sie werden das bepflanzte Aquarium verschönern. Von Zajac Zoo aus ging es weiter zur Messe Zierfische und Aquarium.

Ide o chovateľský veľtrh, ktorý sa ale dosť líši od iného konaného v Nürnbergu. Veľmi sa mi páčilo, že duisburgský veľtrh na mňa pôsobil „teplo„. Nebol to biznis, honba za veľkých obchodom, za peniazmi. Skôr som mal pocit, že ide o uspokojenie obyčajných malých zákazníkov, ba dokonca často až o propagáciu akvaristiky. Na veľkej ploche sa tam prezentovali aj niektoré iniciatívy ako Garnelen forum, Cichliden Tage a napokon aj Diskus Championat a Bewertungsschau des EHBBC – výstava bojovníc. Výstavisko navštívilo neskutočné množstvo ľudí, cca 40 000, výstava trvala od 2.10 do 10.10.2008. Záujem bol asi o všetko, o vodné , o techniku, literatúru, , výstavu terčovcov. Tovar bol rozmanitý, ponuka lákala, ja sa určite do Duisburgu vrátim. Z veľtrhu sme šli do akvaristiky Hobby ZOO Tillmann.

It is a breeding fair, but it differs quite a bit from another one held in Nuremberg. I really liked that the Duisburg fair felt „warm“ to me. It wasn’t about business, chasing big deals, chasing money. Instead, I had the feeling that it was about satisfying ordinary small customers, and even often promoting aquaristics. Some initiatives were presented on a large area, such as Garnelen forum, Cichliden Tage, and finally, the Diskus Championship and Bewertungsschau des EHBBC – the fighting fish exhibition. An incredible number of people, approximately 40,000, visited the exhibition, which lasted from October 2nd to October 10th, 2008. There was interest in everything, water plants, equipment, literature, fish, and the cichlid exhibition. The goods were diverse, the offer was enticing, and I will definitely return to Duisburg.

Es handelt sich um eine Zuchtbörse, die sich jedoch ziemlich von einer anderen in Nürnberg durchgeführten unterscheidet. Mir gefiel sehr gut, dass die Duisburger Messe auf mich „warm“ wirkte. Es ging nicht um Geschäft, nicht um die Jagd nach großen Deals, nicht um Geld. Eher hatte ich das Gefühl, dass es darum ging, die einfachen kleinen Kunden zufriedenzustellen, und sogar oft um die Förderung der Aquaristik. Auf einer großen Fläche präsentierten sich einige Initiativen wie Garnelenforum, Cichliden Tage und schließlich auch die Diskusmeisterschaft und Bewertungsschau des EHBBC – die Ausstellung der Kampffische. Eine unglaubliche Anzahl von Menschen, etwa 40.000, besuchte die Messe, die vom 2. bis 10. Oktober 2008 dauerte. Es gab Interesse an allem, Wasserplanzen, Ausrüstung, Literatur, Fische und die Ausstellung der Buntbarsche. Die Ware war vielfältig, das Angebot verlockend, und ich werde definitiv nach Duisburg zurückkehren.
