Je najvýchodnejším mestom Rakúska (Wikipedia). Leží v známej ako , približne 12 kilometrov západne od Bratislavy a 43 kilometrov východne od Viedne. Okolie Hainburgu je charakteristické zalesnenými kopcami a je súčasťou národného parku Donau-Auen, ktorý chráni jednu z posledných veľkých riečnych nív v strednej Európe (donau.com). sa pýši jedným z najzachovalejších stredovekých opevnení v Rakúsku, vrátane mestských hradieb, veží a troch mestských brán. Najznámejšia z nich, , je považovaná za najväčšiu stredovekú mestskú bránu v Európe (Wikipedia). Nad mestom sa týči hrad, ktorého počiatky siahajú do 11. storočia. Hrad bol postavený na príkaz cisára Henricha III. a slúžil ako strategická pevnosť na ochranu hraníc (Wikipedia). Okrem historických pamiatok ponúka Hainburg aj na turistiku a cykloturistiku v okolitej prírode. Obľúbeným cieľom je vrch Braunsberg, odkiaľ sa naskytá panoramatický výhľad na mesto, a priľahlé oblasti (icestovanie.sk).

pri Hainburgu, o ktorú som sa ja predovšetkým zaujímal, patrí do unikátneho európskeho národného parku Donau-Auen. Nachádza sa vlastne medzi veľkými mestami Bratislava a Viedeň. Hainburg an der Donau je malé mestečko, neďaleko od Bratislavy. Nad obcou sú dva : Braunsberg a Schlossberg. Na Schlossbergu je hrad Hainburg.

Na ploche 25 km2 žije necelých 6 tisíc obyvateľov (cestovanie.biz). Hrad Schlossberg na kopci postavil z pôvodných starších hradieb cisár Henrich III. v roku 1050 (cestovanie.biz). V roku 1108 sa majiteľmi hradu stali (Wikipedia). V druhej polovici 12. storočia sa o jeho rekonštrukciu zaslúžil . V 13. storočí český panovník Přemysl Otakar. V roku 1252 sa stáva majetkom Habsburgovcov. O roku 1629 hrad spravuje mesto, avšak začína pustnúť (cestovanie.biz). V roku 1683 vyplienili mesto . Zahynulo 8000 obyvateľov (Wikipedia). Vtedy sa podarilo utiecť pre nimi Thomasovi Haydnovi – otcovi hudobného skladateľa Jozefa Haydna. V roku 1789 sem cisár . presťahoval spracovateľskú továrničku tabaku, ktorá si dlhé desaťročia držala veľmi významný hospodársky význam v meste (cestovanie.biz). V meste sa nachádza jedna z najzachovalejších stredovekých mestských brán v Európe – Wienertor (Viedenská ) a – (cestovanie.biz) () (Wikipedia). K mestu aj hradu  (Röthelstein), ktorý sa nachádza necelé 2 km od mesta (cestovanie.biz), pri Dunaji, pod Braunsbergom. V júni sa tu každý rok konajú stredoveké  a v lete (Wikipedia).

Röthelstein je zrúcanina hradu nachádzajúca sa na 30 metrov vysokom skalnom výbežku nad riekou Dunaj, východne od mesta Hainburg an der Donau v Dolnom Rakúsku. Hrad bol postavený v 11. storočí a prvá písomná zmienka o ňom pochádza z roku 1180. Jeho strategická oproti hradu Devín na slovenskej strane Dunaja naznačuje, že slúžil ako hraničný a strážny hrad, kontrolujúci a na rieke (hainburg.sk). V roku 1411 bol ako léno udelený Wilhelmovi von Enzersdorf od Albrechta V., vojvodu Rakúska (castles.nl). V priebehu storočí hrad postupne strácal na význame a upadal, až sa stal zrúcaninou. Dnes je Röthelstein obľúbeným cieľom turistov a milovníkov histórie. Zo sa naskytá pôsobivý výhľad na rieku Dunaj a okolitú krajinu. Prístup k hradu je možný pešo z Hainburgu, pričom cesta vedie popri Dunaji a prechádza tunelom vytesaným do (panorama.sk). Okolie hradu je súčasťou národného parku, čo zvyšuje jeho atraktivitu pre návštevníkov (Oskar Mažgút). Zaujímavosťou je, že v línii dlhej len o málo viac ako štyri kilometre sa nachádzajú tri : Hainburský hrad, Röthelstein a . Táto oblasť, známa ako , bola v minulosti významne opevnená a slúžila ako strategický bod na rieke Dunaj (panorama.sk).

The landscape near Hainburg, which I am particularly interested in, belongs to the unique European Donau-Auen National Park. It lies between the major cities of Bratislava and Vienna. The town also features one of the best-preserved medieval city gates in Europe—Wienertor (Vienna Gate) and Ungertor (Hungarian Gate) (cestovanie.biz, Wikipedia). Nearby are the ruins of Heimenburg Castle (Röthelstein), located less than 2 km from the town (cestovanie.biz), near the Danube, below Braunsberg. Röthelstein is a castle ruin located on a 30-meter-high rocky outcrop above the Danube River, east of Hainburg an der Donau in Lower Austria. The castle was built in the 11th century, and the written record dates to 1180. Its strategic location opposite Castle on the Slovak side of the Danube suggests it served as a border and watch castle, controlling trade ships and fishing on the river (hainburg.sk). The surroundings of the castle are part of the national park, enhancing its appeal for visitors ( Mažgút). Interestingly, within a stretch of just over four kilometers, there are three castles: Hainburg Castle, Röthelstein, and Devín Castle. This area, known as the Devín Gate, was historically heavily fortified and served as a strategic point on the Danube River (panorama.sk).

Braunsberg – vrch nad Hainburgom

Najstaršie významné osídlenie Braunsbergu je z doby halštatskej, v 7. až 6. storočí pred naším letopočtom. Kedysi bol osídlený Keltmi. Na západnej strane kopca je napodobenina strážnej keltskej  (Haratíková). Je jedným z troch keltských hradísk v Uhorskej . Vrch dosahuje 376 metrov nad morom. Devín ako ďalšie hradisko sa nachádza necelé 2 km severovýchodne. Najvýznamnejším bolo na Bratislavskom hrade. Predpokladá sa, že vybudovali pred 2000 rokmi (Urban). Na Braunsbergu často chodia so svojimi modelmi lietať. Je zaujímavé sledovať túto ich vášeň.

The oldest significant settlement on Braunsberg dates back to the Hallstatt period, around the 7th to 6th centuries BCE. It was once inhabited by Celts. On the western side of the hill, there is a replica of a Celtic watchtower (Haratíková). It is one of three Celtic hillforts in the area of the Hungarian Gate. The summit reaches 376 meters above sea level. Devin, another hillfort, is located less than 2 km to the northeast. The most significant was the oppidum at Bratislava Castle. It is assumed that the fortifications were built by the Boii over 2000 years ago (Urban). Model aircraft enthusiasts often frequent Braunsberg to fly their models, making it interesting to observe their passion.

Braunsberg ist ein Hügel oberhalb von Hainburg. Von dort aus hat man einen schönen Blick auf Bratislava und die Devin.

Die älteste bedeutende Siedlung auf dem Braunsberg stammt aus der Hallstattzeit, etwa im 7. bis 6. Jahrhundert v. Chr. Er war einst von Kelten bewohnt. Auf der Westseite des Hügels befindet sich eine Nachbildung eines keltischen Wachturms (Haratíková). Es ist eines von drei keltischen Oppida in der Gegend des Ungartores. Der Gipfel erreicht eine Höhe von 376 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel. Devin, ein weiteres Oppidum, liegt weniger als 2 km nordöstlich. Das bedeutendste war das Oppidum auf der Burg Bratislava. Es wird angenommen, dass die Bóier vor über 2000 Jahren die Befestigungen errichteten (Urban). Modellflugzeug-Enthusiasten besuchen den Braunsberg oft, um ihre Modelle fliegen zu lassen, was es interessant macht, ihre Leidenschaft zu beobachten.
