Príroda krásna, pretrvávajúca

Hits: 3370

Nature is one of the most precious gifts we have received. In today’s world, where we are increasingly witnessing climate change, deforestation, and other environmental issues, it is important to realize that nature will persist peacefully even without us. In reality, we need to ensure our own existence, as nature will manage without us no matter how we behave. If we continue to destroy what enables us to live, the repercussion will be a limit that becomes a question of survival. It’s an existential problem. Just imagine what it means to live without water. Nature surrounds us everywhere, from mountain peaks and diverse forests to beaches, wetlands, and lakes. Nature inspires us and provides us with an opportunity to learn from it and live within it. The beauty of nature can endure only if we recognize its value and show it the respect it deserves.

Nature faces threats that result from unsustainable human impact. What is beautiful, man can easily destroy, but nature itself has dimensions that, fortunately, are beyond human capabilities to destroy. Nature is timeless space without which existence is inconceivable. Nature, in the broadest sense, is the origin, essence, and development of things. Protecting nature is not only necessary but also essential for our own existence. Nature provides us with air, water, food, and other invaluable resources. Ensuring sustainable management of natural resources and supporting environmental initiatives are crucial for the economy as well. To contribute to the sustainability of nature, it is important to change our lifestyle. Small steps, such as recycling, minimizing waste, supporting local products, and cultivating awareness of environmental issues, can have a significant impact. A sustainable lifestyle allows us to enjoy the beauty of nature while preserving it for future generations.

Stromy

Hits: 4434

Stromy, s ich výraznými kmeňmi a rozvetvenými korunami, tvoria obdivuhodné diela prírody a sú základnými stavebnými kameňmi ekosystémov po celom svete. Tieto živé organizmy sú neuveriteľne účinné, odolné a vytrvalé. Stromy čelia rôznym hrozbám, vrátane odlesňovania, klimatických zmien a chorôb. Odlesňovanie znižuje biodiverzitu a zvyšuje množstvo oxidu uhličitého v atmosfére.

Fotografie stromov majú schopnosť zachytiť nádheru a pôsobivosť prírody v jedinom snímku.

Ich výrazné črty môžu vyprávať príbehy o histórii a živote v ich okolí. Kombinácia techniky, kreativity a vnímania krásy v každom jednotlivom strome môže viesť k tvorbe úžasných a dojemných fotografií.

Trees, with their distinctive trunks and branching crowns, stand as remarkable masterpieces of nature and serve as fundamental building blocks of ecosystems worldwide. These living organisms are incredibly efficient, resilient, and enduring. However, trees face various threats, including deforestation, climate change, and diseases. Deforestation reduces biodiversity and increases the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Climate changes may lead to the spread of diseases and unwanted species that can harm trees. Protecting trees involves maintaining their natural habitats, sustainable timber harvesting, and supporting research to address diseases and pests. Trees represent a key element of nature; their conservation and sustainable management are essential not only for their preservation but also for humanity.

Trees have a complex structure that enables them to thrive in various conditions. Their basic parts include roots, trunk, branches, leaves, and fruits. Roots anchor the tree in the soil and absorb nutrients, while the trunk provides support and houses the transport system for water and nutrients. Branches and leaves facilitate photosynthesis, the process by which trees use sunlight to produce energy and generate oxygen. Fruits contain seeds used for reproduction. Trees form extensive ecosystems that provide shelter and food for numerous organisms. Their trunks and branches serve as habitats for birds, insects, and other creatures. Trees help maintain soil quality and create a microclimate in their surroundings. Their significance in ecosystems also lies in capturing and storing carbon dioxide. Trees have economic importance, providing wood used in various industries, from construction to furniture production. Additionally, they supply raw materials for the paper industry, and many plants and medicinal compounds come from trees, contributing to cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications.

Photographing trees allows for the capture of the beauty and grandeur of nature in a single frame. Each tree, with its unique shape and character, offers photographers endless creative possibilities. The photographic interpretation of trees can showcase their majesty, resilience, and relationship with the environment. Composition and perspective play a crucial role in tree photography. Creating contrasts between trees and other elements of nature, such as mountains, lakes, or the sky, can add drama to the photograph. Experimenting with different angles, including low shots or capturing multiple branches, can yield unusual and captivating results. Light is a key factor in tree photography. Early morning or evening hours can create warm and soft lights that highlight the texture of the bark and the colors of the leaves. Contrastive light creates shadow play, adding drama to the image. Shots with striking sunlight rays or reflections can provide a beautiful and impactful effect. Fog can separate spaces and make even something as large as a tree stand out.

Tree photography sometimes captures not only the trees themselves but also the diversity of their surroundings. Including various plant species, flowers, or natural elements in the composition can add another dimension and color contrast. Likewise, capturing birds, insects, or other wildlife associated with tree life enhances the richness of the photograph. Many tree species stand out for their uniqueness and interest. Bonsai, sequoias, or ancient trees with distinctive shapes and age can be excellent subjects. Their remarkable features can tell stories about history and life in their environment. The combination of technique, creativity, and appreciation of beauty in each individual tree can lead to the creation of fascinating and poignant photographs.

Rastliny samozrejme produkujú organickú hmotu a kyslík vďaka fotosyntéze.

Fotografie lesa môžu zachytiť túto atmosféru a preniesť ju divákom. Tieto panoramatické zábery môžu priniesť pocit hĺbky a rozsahu lesa a umožniť divákom cítiť sa, akoby boli súčasťou tohto úžasného prostredia.

Forests are places where nature meets in all its diversity, where seasons change, and the richness of flora and fauna is displayed. The forest is where you feel part of nature and find peace and relaxation. Forests are complex ecosystems, communities of plants, animals, microorganisms, and other organisms that together form an interconnected ecosystem. Forests are of great importance not only from an environmental perspective but also from a cultural and economic perspective.

Trees, among other things, provide food and shelter for many animals and also regulate microclimatic conditions in the forest. Plants, of course, produce organic matter and oxygen through photosynthesis. Forests are home to many animals, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, and other invertebrates. These animals have adapted to various aspects of the forest environment and play an important role in the forest ecosystem. Some of them are important for decomposing organic matter and recycling nutrients, while others serve as food for higher levels of the food chain.

Forests also have economic significance. They provide timber used in furniture production, construction materials, and firewood. Forests are an important recreational and cultural space for people, where they can relax, engage in sports, hiking, and explore nature. However, forests are important for preserving biodiversity, maintaining soil and water quality, and regulating the climate.

It is important to realize that forests are vulnerable ecosystems threatened by various human activities such as excessive logging, deforestation, agricultural expansion, and air and soil pollution. Therefore, it is important to protect and maintain forest ecosystems for future generations.

Forest photography can capture this atmosphere and convey it to viewers. Each forest photograph is unique because each forest has its own charm and unique features. When photographing a forest, it is important to play with lighting and angles to capture different aspects of its beauty. Morning light can create beautiful color shades and peculiar contrasts, while sunsets can depict the forest in romantic or mysterious light. Forest photographs can be not only beautiful but also powerful and emotional. They can evoke a sense of reverence for nature.

One way to capture the beauty of the forest is to photograph details. You can focus your lens on the texture of tree bark, colorful leaves, or blooming plants in the forest. These detailed shots can provide viewers with a deeper look into the interior of the forest and its life. Another way to capture the beauty of the forest is to photograph its wide panorama. You can try to capture the entire expanse of the forest and its surrounding landscapes. These panoramic shots can bring a sense of depth and scope to the forest and allow viewers to feel like they are part of this amazing environment.

Shrimps are found all over the world. Biologically, they belong to the crustaceans. They live from coastal areas to deep sea beds, inhabiting both cold and warm waters. They are omnivores, feeding on algae, detritus, plankton, small fish, crustaceans, mollusks, and organic material on the seabed. Many shrimp species are social and exhibit various forms of cooperation and communication within the group. In the seas, they often serve as food for fish, birds, and crustaceans. However, they are also a favorite food for many people. So much so that overfishing threatens entire shrimp populations and leads to imbalance in marine ecosystems.

Farba vody v akváriu by mala byť hnedožltá až zelená.

Pokiaľ dávate do akvária nový molitan, trochu ho zašpiňte pomocou inej vložky z už zabehaného filtra, alebo ho aspoň napustite vodou zo staršieho akvária.

When we acquire an aquarium, it requires care. It’s not a setup that you prepare once and then it exists on its own. Every aquarium needs certain inputs from humans – energy that must be expended to sustain life in it. Some interventions are necessary for functionality, while others are more aesthetic. Among the maintenance equipment, I would include: nets, hoses, wire brushes, siphon, buckets, scissors. Water needs to be changed from time to time. An aquarium cannot maintain the entire cycle of substances on its own; some must be removed, others added. It’s not like in nature, where there is a constant flow in watercourses, lakes, and seas that brings in new nutrients and carries away processed ones. Although there are flow systems, they are not common and certainly do not reach natural dimensions. In that case, we can talk about eliminating regular water changes. It can be called continuous water exchange. However, let’s return to the normal state. How often water needs to be changed and how much depends on many factors. If I mean a typical aquarium for a casual aquarist, the regular exchange should not exceed one-third of the tank’s volume. Water is replaced with clean water, or possibly treated water – for example, through reverse osmosis. If the water foams, is dirty, or organically heavily polluted, it needs to be changed. Clean water doesn’t foam. Foaming can occur during filtration.

The color of the water in the aquarium should be brownish-yellow to green. Even clear, translucent clean water is sometimes a sign of high levels of harmful nitrates. The glass becomes hazy due to lighting and daylight. It’s possible that suction cups, snails clean” it, but it still needs to be cleaned. For example, with a rough sponge for dishes, a bank card, or a soft wire brush. Always be careful not to let substrate from the bottom get into these tools. Because even a small grain of gravel can effectively scratch the glass. A magnetic scraper and a razor blade have the disadvantage that they can easily scratch the glass. Lime scale can be easily removed with a soft wire brush. If we want and can use chemicals, phosphoric acid or vinegar are suitable. Stronger acids are too strong for our hands. For example, use a cloth. An abrasive wire brush can also help in this case. The cover glass is cleaned in the same way with a wire brush. I recommend cleaning the front glass with clean water using two cloths – one for wet and the other for dry cleaning – polishing.

Internal filters need to be cleaned relatively often. How often depends on many factors. Every aquarist must learn to estimate the right time, but it can be said that the average time in a normal community tank, which is not overstocked, could be about 1 week. If the filter sucks in so many particles that it is literally clogged to the tube, it needs to be cleaned immediately. Be careful because the filter can also be clogged by Malaysian trumpet snails. Occasionally, the impellers of the pump need to be cleaned, the entire filter device rinsed under water, brushed, and each part cleaned out. It’s better not to wash the filter sponge of the internal filter with tap water but with water poured from the tank before. Tap water could harm the bacteria in the sponge. If we wash the filter media in aquarium water or water that does not contain unwanted gases, we keep the filter functional. Otherwise, the bacteria in it will be decimated. If you put in a new sponge for the aquarium, dirty it a bit with another insert from a run-in filter, or at least fill it with water from an older aquarium. For an external filter, the filter sponge needs to be cleaned less frequently. Initially more often, later occasionally. The filter wool and other filter parts as well. An external filter is advantageous in terms of maintenance; after purchasing it, you need to take care of it more, but there are not rare cases when an aquarist cleaned the sponge after a year, and everything was fine. The optimal size of all filters and their components depends on the load of the tank, its size. The heater does not need special care; I would just clean it occasionally from algae, for example, with a soft wire brush.

If we change water, siphon, it is better to disconnect the heater from the electric network, especially if we are replacing a larger amount. In that case, it may happen that a part of the heater (especially with a stronger power input) is heavily heated, and after replenishing it with usually colder water, it may burst. Whether siphoning is necessary is individual. It depends on the number of fish, their character, filtration, aeration, and plant consumption. If detritus – decomposing fish excrement and uneaten food – proliferates, proceed to siphoning. There are bells designed for this purpose, which have a wider throat at the end, which leads to a narrower part, onto which or into which a hose is inserted. Alternatively, you can siphon the aquarium with the hose itself, but it’s usually quite impractical because with a thicker hose, you draw in gravel and sand, and with a thinner hose, the operation takes disproportionately long. The detritus itself is, of course, to a certain extent desirable, assuming we are growing plants. Because plants consume detritus and turn it into plant matter – it’s actually their food. If there is a darkened area on the bottom of the tank, detritus is already deficient in oxygen, and we should have siphoned it long ago. If your aquatic plants are growing well, they need to be thinned out from time to time. Or clean from algae – mechanically, repot, rearrange. Plants are pruned. For example, if we want to create a carpet of aquatic plants, it is good to prune more at the beginning. Rotten, yellowed leaves should be removed from the aquarium. It is good to plant smaller plants with tweezers. When trimming, I recommend sharp scissors. When cutting roots, it is better to cut off more; old roots will rot anyway, and the process of rotting itself is not desirable.
