Medzi morské organizmy patria napríklad:

  • V morských vodách nájdeme obrovské množstvo rôznych druhov rýb.
  • Koraly tvoria úžasné korálové útesy, sú základnými stavebnými kameňmi mnohých morských ekosystémov.
  • Medúzy patria medzi pŕhlivce, majú charakteristický zvonovitý tvar, niektoré z nich sú jedovaté.
  • Hviezdice a ježovky patria do skupiny echinodermát, obývajú morské dno.
  • Lastúrniky a ulitníky.
  • Delfíny a veľryby obývajú morské prostredie patria medzi najväčších a najinteligentnejších morských živočíchov.
  • Morské vtáky ako napríklad albatrosy a pelikány.

Among marine organisms, we can find:

1. In marine waters, there is an enormous variety of different fish species.
2. Corals form amazing coral reefs and serve as the fundamental building blocks of many marine ecosystems.
3. Jellyfish belong to the cnidarian group, featuring a distinctive bell-shaped form, with some species being venomous.
4. Starfish and sea urchins are part of the echinoderm group, inhabiting the seabed.
5. Mollusks and snails.
6. Crustaceans form a diverse group, including various species such as crabs, lobsters, and crayfish.
7. Seaweeds play a crucial role in marine ecosystems, providing food and oxygen for marine life.
8. Dolphins and whales, which inhabit the marine environment, are among the largest and most intelligent marine animals.
9. Marine birds, such as albatrosses and pelicans.

ZOO Zajac – chovateľský hypermarket v Duisburgu

Hits: 4188

Na prvý októbrový víkend v roku 2008, sme si my, partia z Bratislavy, z Brna a Žďáru nad Sázavou naplánovali akvaristickú lahôdku – návštevu nemeckého Duisburgu, konkrétne troch miest – pomerne známeho ZOO Zajac, veľtrhu Zierfische und Aquarium, kde sa konal 7. ročník Diskus Championat a jednej peknej akvaristiky Hobby ZOO Tillmann. Asi 42 akvaristov bolo ochotných merať cestu do Duisburgu.

On the first weekend of October 2008, our group from Bratislava, Brno, and Žďár nad Sázavou planned an aquarium delight – a visit to the German city of Duisburg, specifically three places – the relatively well-known Zajac Zoo, the Zierfische und Aquarium fair, where the 7th edition of the Diskus Championat took place, and one beautiful aquarium store, Hobby ZOO Tillmann. The event was organized by the Brno club Cyperus, and thank goodness for that. We had arranged transportation with our own” bus from Brno, accommodation, and a program. The Bratislava group consisted of 8 people with two cars. Early in the morning on October 3rd, we headed to Brno, where the connector” – Franta Csefay was waiting for us. He settled us, and thanks to him and his presence, we easily moved to the bus. Our direction was clear – Duisburg. More than 1000 km of travel awaited us. The journey took 12 hours, but you can imagine that entertainment was taken care of. We traveled during the day, and in Žďár, we picked up our friends from Žďár. According to my estimate, we almost filled the entire bus; about 3 – 4 seats remained vacant. About 42 aquarists were willing to make the trip to Duisburg. We successfully arrived in the evening. After accommodation, many of us went to the city. Because the question arose: What to do with the started evening? Our surprise was significant – Duisburg was calm. We couldn’t understand why Duisburg in the evening was deserted. There were few people on the wide boulevards. In restaurants, many of us sat alone for more than an hour. We left the hotel around 9 PM. In the morning, after breakfast, a rich program awaited us. We started with a visit to Zajac Zoo.

Zajac Zoo could be described as a smaller breeding TESCO. By smaller,” I mean, for example, one floor of the TESCO supermarket in the center of Bratislava. Only breeding supplies” were located on a relatively large area. The noise in the parking lot in front of Zajac Zoo was significant. I remind you that it was a working day after 10 AM. Inside, many people were present, and in the afternoon, when we returned here once again, literally crowds. In front of the entrance, there were a few stalls and refreshment shops, perhaps some souvenirs. Inside, I was surprised, for example, that the same type of goods was in several places, possibly at different prices. Water plants were in three, maybe four places. I had the optical impression that they were also in the same tanks, equally beautiful and species-wise very similar. I liked it; I think Mr. Zajac knows what he is doing. The customer probably has the opportunity to choose whether to focus on price or a trusted brand, and it’s done decently – the goods do not see” each other. In Zajac Zoo, I saw many products that are not so accessible to us, but since I wanted to capture things with a camera, I didn’t pay much attention to shopping. Just before leaving, I bought four beautiful thin roots that I had been looking for for about 3 years. They will beautify the planted aquarium. From Zajac Zoo, we moved on to the Zierfische und Aquarium fair.

Wasserpflanzen waren an drei, vielleicht vier Stellen.

Light is an essential abiotic component that aquarium enthusiasts must consider in their homes. With its significant help, biological, biochemical, and physical processes take place in the aquarium. In the temperate zone where I am located, and probably many of you, the sunlight duration from fall to spring is insufficient. Therefore, providing artificial lighting is necessary. While sunlight is the primary source of energy, it’s not highly desirable in aquariums. In nature, sunlight doesn’t penetrate below the water surface, but in artificial tanks, it often hits the side walls, leading to algae growth on the glass and in the water. Additionally, water currents flow in valleys, which are often cut into the landscape, making it harder for sunlight to penetrate the water.

For these reasons, I recommend placing the aquarium in a darker part of the room and using artificial light during the day. It’s evident that some sunlight will still reach the entire setup. Fish probably wouldn’t enjoy swimming in constant darkness either. Aesthetic and functional aspects also play a role, especially when observing aquarium life. Fish can’t perceive light with their eyes as much as mammals or insects. They mainly sense light through their skin, covering their entire body surface. Excess light in the aquarium leads to green algae, while a lack of light results in brown algae. In the past, incandescent bulbs were used in breeding. However, this practice has been abandoned as they’re more suitable as a heat source than a light source. Compact fluorescent bulbs are a common alternative, but their efficiency is lower.

Fluorescent tubes are preferred for aquariums taller than 50 cm. High-Intensity Discharge (HQI) lamps are recommended for even better penetration in taller tanks. Regular maintenance and replacement of tubes are crucial for optimal performance. Precautions, such as using a ballast before the switch and starter, can extend the life of fluorescent tubes. Having a regular and objectively controllable light schedule is crucial for the aquarium’s well-being. Timers are better than relying on human intervention. Aquarium kits with plants should receive light for 12 – 14 hours a day for optimal growth. Providing light only in the evening is a misconception. The regularity of the light regime significantly affects the activity and overall behavior of fish. Some fish change their swimming patterns based on the light source’s direction. In conclusion, proper lighting is vital for a thriving aquarium, considering factors like light type, duration, and schedule.

Mammals, scientifically known as Mammalia, constitute a class of vertebrates. The majority of mammals have hair or fur on their bodies, serving purposes such as thermoregulation, camouflage, or protection. They produce milk in mammary glands for feeding their offspring, a process known as lactation. Mammals are warm-blooded creatures, meaning they can maintain a constant body temperature independently of external conditions. Most mammals give birth to live young, a reproductive strategy called viviparity, where offspring develop inside the mother’s body and are born alive.

The majority of mammals belong to placental mammals, indicating that they have a placenta facilitating the exchange of nutrients and waste between the mother and the developing offspring. Mammals exhibit diverse dietary habits, with some being omnivores, others herbivores, and some carnivores. They inhabit nearly all environments, showcasing their adaptability. Most mammals reproduce sexually, and they possess a highly developed brain compared to other groups of animals. This advanced brain structure enables higher cognitive functions, learning, and adaptability to the environment. The diversity and adaptability of mammals make them one of the most successful groups of living organisms on Earth.
