Každoročne sa v Piešťanoch otvára kúpeľná sezóna v prvý júnový víkend. Organizátori vždy pripravia spoločenský a kultúrny program.

Oficiálne oslavy, ako ich poznáme dnes, sa však začali organizovať od roku 1992. Cieľom je nielen privítať návštevníkov, ale aj vzdať vďaku za liečivé , ktoré mestu priniesli slávu a prosperitu. Hlavný program podujatia prebieha v sobotu a zahŕňa rôzne kultúrne a spoločenské aktivity. Neodmysliteľnou súčasťou je slávnostné požehnanie prameňov na Kúpeľnom ostrove, po ktorom nasleduje sprievod mestom (Pic Piešťany). Okrem hlavného programu sú pre návštevníkov pripravené aj rôzne sprievodné podujatia, ako sú , s remeselnými výrobkami, gastronomické a športové aktivity. Pre sú organizované špeciálne programy, vrátane hier, tvorivých dielní a divadelných predstavení (piestany.sk). Podujatie každoročne priláka tisíce návštevníkov z domova i zo zahraničia, podujatie posilňuje komunitného ducha a poskytuje platformu pre prezentáciu miestnej kultúry, tradícií a talentov (ttkraj.sk).

Rok 2012 – Súčasťou podujatia boli aj preteky dračích lodí medzi mostami. Starým a Kolonádnym mostom.

Rok 2009 – V roku 2009 sa v prvý júnový víkend konali voľby do európskeho parlamentu, preto sa tentokrát Otvorenie konalo týždeň predtým ako obvykle.

The tradition of opening the summer spa season in Piešťany dates back to the early 19th century when the local spa gained international popularity. However, official celebrations, as we know them today, have been organized since 1992. The aim of the event is not only to welcome visitors but also to express gratitude for the healing springs that have brought fame and prosperity to the town.

The main program of the event takes place on Saturday and includes various cultural and social activities. An integral part is the ceremonial blessing of the springs on the Spa Island, followed by a procession through the town (Pic Piešťany). In addition to the main program, various accompanying events are prepared for visitors, such as exhibitions, craft markets, gastronomic festivals, and sports activities. Special programs are organized for children, including games, creative workshops, and theater performances (piestany.sk).

The event attracts thousands of visitors from home and abroad every year. It strengthens the community spirit and provides a platform for showcasing local culture, traditions, and talents (ttkraj.sk).

Year 2012 – Part of the event was also dragon boat races between the bridges – the Old Bridge and the Colonnade Bridge.

Jedes Jahr wird die Badesaison in Piešťany am ersten Juniwochenende eröffnet. Die Organisatoren bereiten immer ein gesellschaftliches und kulturelles Programm vor.

Die Eröffnung der Sommer-Badesaison in Piešťany ist eine Veranstaltung, die den Beginn der sommerlichen Tourismussaison in Piešťany symbolisiert. Diese Feier gilt als das bedeutendste Ereignis des Jahres in der Region. Die Tradition der Eröffnung der Sommer-Badesaison in Piešťany reicht bis ins frühe 19. Jahrhundert zurück, als das örtliche Bad internationale Popularität erlangte. Offizielle Feierlichkeiten, wie wir sie heute kennen, werden jedoch erst seit 1992 organisiert. Die Veranstaltung zieht jedes Jahr Tausende von Besuchern aus dem In- und Ausland an. Sie stärkt den Gemeinschaftsgeist und bietet eine Plattform zur Präsentation der lokalen Kultur, Traditionen und Talente (ttkraj.sk).

Jahr 2012 – Ein Teil der Veranstaltung waren auch Drachenbootrennen zwischen den Brücken – der Alten Brücke und der Kolonnadenbrücke.

Jahr 2009 – Im Jahr 2009 fanden am ersten Juniwochenende die Wahlen zum Europäischen Parlament statt, daher wurde die Eröffnung eine Woche früher als üblich abgehalten.

Folklór – kultúrne dedičstvo

je z anglického folk lore – ľudové znalosti. Môže byť povahy slovesnej, hudobnej, dramatickej aj tanečnej. Folklórne prejavy sa začali vytrácať s nástupom modernej techniky. Zápis textu a schopnosť jeho čítania zapríčinil menší priestor pre ľudovú tvorbu (Wikipedia.cz). Štúdiom folklóru sa zaoberá folkloristika. Na svoje kroje, piesne, zvyky, tance sú jednotlivé oblasti, pyšné. Prezentácie folklórnych zvykov jednotlivých regiónov prebiehajú na folklórnych festivaloch. Napr. vo Východnej, Myjave, Detve (Wikipedia.sk). Z ľudovej hudby čerpajú inšpiráciu aj hudobní skladatelia vážnej hudby. V minulosti napr. Edvard Hagerup Grieg, Antonín Dvořák, Franz Liszt, Béla Bartók. Globálny vplyv pôvodne ľudovej hudby v 20. storočí mala černošských komunít v . Šlo o piesňovú formu so špecifickou pentatonickou modalitou, charakteristickými dvanásťtaktovými akordickými postupmi a systémom otázka – odpoveď v zborovom speve. V 19. storočí bola táto forma nazvaná blues. Známy je z neskoršej doby vzájomný vplyv rockovej a folkovej hudby (Wikipedia.cz). Pomerne známa česká hudobná skupina, ktorá sa radí ku populárnej hudbe a má v sebe veľa prvkov ľudovej hudby je Čechomor, prípadne Fleret. Na Slovensku pôsobí SĽUK – Slovenský ľudový umelecký súbor, Lúčnica. Bohatú tradíciu u nás majú folklórne , napr. Folklórne slávnosti pod Poľanou, Detviansky medzinárodný festival ľudovej hudby, tanca a spevu, Podroháčske folklórne slávnosti v Zuberci, Martinské Dožinky, Východná (skovaksite.com). Veľmi známym zoskupením moravskej folklórnej je Hradišťan, s impozantným Jiřím (Jurou) Pavlicom, ktorý sa venuje aj iným žánrom. Pre mňa je doslova médiom, akých svet veľa nemá. Najmä po roku 2000 sa trochu chvalabohu začali meniť priority a opäť ožili tradičné , aspoň na rôznych jarmokoch, festivaloch, iných kultúrnych a spoločenských podujatiach. V Nitre sa koná každoročne Jarmok ľudových remesiel. V Bratislave, v Kežmarku a v Piešťanoch sa založila tradícia festivalov tradičných remesiel, snáď aj v iných mestách. Mám pocit, že sa začína trochu viac aj opäť vážiť tradičná v skanzenoch, v Podbieli, v Pribyline, v Martine.

The study of folklore falls under the domain of folkloristics. Different regions and communities take pride in their traditional costumes, songs, customs, and dances. Presentations of folk traditions from various regions often take place at folklore festivals, such as those in Východná, , and Detva (Wikipedia.sk).

Individual composers of classical music draw inspiration from folk music. In the past, figures like Edvard Hagerup Grieg, Antonín Dvořák, Franz Liszt, and Béla Bartók were influenced by folk music. In the 20th century, the global impact of originally folk music was evident in the music of African American communities in the USA. This form, characterized by a specific pentatonic modality, distinctive twelve-bar chord progressions, and call-and-response patterns in choral singing, was termed „blues“ in the 19th century. Later on, there was a well-known cross-influence between rock and folk music (Wikipedia.cz).

In the Czech Republic, the relatively well-known musical group blending popular music with elements of folk music includes Čechomor and Fleret. In Slovakia, there are prominent folk artistic ensembles like SĽUK (Slovak Folk Art Ensemble) and Lúčnica. Folklore festivals, such as Folklore Festivals under Poľana, the Detva International Festival of Folk Music, Dance, and Song, Podroháč Folklore Festivals in Zuberec, Martinské Dožinky, and Východná, contribute to the rich tradition (skovaksite.com).

A notable Moravian folk group is Hradišťan, led by the impressive Jiří (Jura) Pavlica, who also explores other genres. For me, it is a true medium that the world does not have enough of. Especially after 2000, thankfully, priorities have started to shift, and traditional crafts have experienced a revival, at least at various fairs, festivals, and other cultural and social events. In , the Festival of Folk Crafts takes place annually. In , Kežmarok, and , a tradition of festivals celebrating traditional crafts has been established, and hopefully, in other cities as well. I feel that traditional architecture is beginning to be valued more again, especially in open-air museums like Podbiel, Pribylina, and .
