Stránske dostalo názov podľa príkrych stráňav, ktoré ho obklopujú. Prvá zmienka o ňom je z roku 1368. Výstavba kostolu svätej Heleny začala v roku 1368. V roku 1858 zemetrasenie kostol silne poškodilo, v roku 1877 bol uzavretý. Dnes je zo starobylého kostola len zrúcanina. Pri Stránskom sa nachádza historická cesta zo 14. storočia. Dnes je medzi Rajeckými Teplicami a Stránskym, medzi Rajeckými kúpeľmi a zrúcaninou gotického kostolíka svätej Heleny v Stránskom. Dnes je to 2 km dlhá poľná cesta, z ktorej vidno Lúčanskú Malú Fatru s vrcholmi Minčol, Veľká Lúka, Kľak. Smerom na juhozápad sú Strážovské vrchy, na západe sú Súľovské vrchy. Pozdĺž cesty bolo vysadených 25 listnatých stromov (Informačná tabuľa).
Stránske got its name from the steep slopes that surround it. The first mention of it dates back to 1368. The construction of the Church of St. Helena began in 1368. In 1858, an earthquake heavily damaged the church, and in 1877, it was closed. Today, only the ruins of the ancient church remain. Near Stránske, there is a historical road from the 14th century. It stretches between Rajecké Teplice and Stránske, connecting the spa town of Rajecké Teplice with the ruins of the Gothic Church of St. Helena in Stránske. The road, now 2 km long, offers views of Lúčanská Malá Fatra with the peaks of Minčol, Veľká Lúka, and Kľak. Towards the southwest, you can see the Strážovské Vrchy, while the Súľovské Vrchy are visible to the west. Along the road, 25 deciduous trees have been planted (Information board).
