Protest Gorila v Bratislave

3.2.2012 sa konal na námestí SNP v Bratislave tzv. Gorila Protest. Bol to podľa všetkého najväčší protest občanov Slovenska voči stavu spoločnosti, voči korupcii od roku 1989. Bola to pre mňa fotografická udalosť, sám ako občan by som sa zrejme takejto akcie nezúčastnil. Navyše ak aj áno, zrejme po krátkom čase by som odišiel, pretože by som sa nudil. Mal som a mám stále veľké názorové rozdiely s tým, čo chceli, resp. neustále menili organizátori. Aj s tým ako sa správali. Chcieť priamu demokraciu, robiť legislatívu cez Internet, diskutovať o všetkom a všetci, výmenný obchod apod. sú utopistické až bláznivé predstavy, ktoré sa vymykajú realite. Samotní organizátori mali pekné ideály, chceli zmeniť a riešiť všetko. Mal som pocit a diskutoval som o tom s viacerými, že vedenie protestov nemá asi tušenie ako funguje štát. Navyše ak vodca rozpráva o tom, že on je len obyčajný človek a necíti sa byť vodcom, rapídne stráca kredit. Šlo o príliš vážne témy. Škoda, že silne prevládali nad rozumom, škoda že sa organizátori nespojili s inteligenciou, kultúrnou obcou. Chýbalo prepojenie, spolupráca. Namiesto toho som vnímal vydeľovanie sa. Dnes, takmer po roku sú zrejme frustrovaní, že nie je vôľa meniť stav vecí verejných, ako som počul v televízii. Je veľká škoda, že sa nevyužil potenciál proti korupcii. Že sa sily rozbili na celkom odlišných ambíciách. Odporučil by som hľadať chyby v sebe. Klesajúci záujem ísť sa zúčastniť „Gorila Protestov“ je odrazom reakcie nás všetkých.

Ja som ešte takú davovú silu, aká bola pri fotografovaní, keď sa dav pohol z , ešte nezažil. Terén – námestie SNP a okolie poznám výborne. Mal som šťastie, keď sa dav pohol z námestia ku Úradu vlády, bol som na jedinom mieste viac ako 10 minút. Dav elektrizujúco hučal, bolo to magické, povznášajúce. Napriek tomu, že vládla celkom slušná , a vtedy už aj tma, prsty mrzli. Nižšie je výsledok môjho snaženia. Veľká časť fotografií je práve z času, keď sa dav hýbal.

On the 3rd of February 2012, the so-called Gorilla Protest took place in SNP Square in . It was, according to all indications, the largest protest of Slovak citizens against the state of society and corruption since 1989. It was a photographic event for me; as a citizen, I probably would not have participated in such an action. Moreover, even if I did, I would likely have left shortly afterward because I would have become bored. I had and still have significant ideological differences with what the organizers wanted or constantly changed. Also, with how they behaved. Desiring direct democracy, making legislation through the Internet, discussing everything with everyone, barter, etc., are utopian and even crazy ideas that defy reality. The organizers themselves had nice ideals; they wanted to change and address everything. I had the feeling, and I discussed it with several people, that the leaders of the protests probably had no idea how the state functions. Moreover, when a leader talks about being just an ordinary person and does not feel like a leader, he rapidly loses credibility. These were too serious topics. It’s a pity that emotions strongly prevailed over reason, a pity that the organizers did not connect with intelligence, the cultural community. There was a lack of connection, cooperation. Instead, I perceived division. Today, almost a year later, they are probably frustrated that there is no will to change the state of public affairs, as I heard on television. It is a great pity that the potential against corruption was not utilized. That the forces broke up due to entirely different ambitions. I would recommend looking for faults within oneself. The declining interest in participating in the „Gorilla Protests“ reflects the reaction of all of us.

I have not experienced such a crowd force, as there was during the photography, when the crowd moved from the square. The terrain – SNP Square and its surroundings – I know very well. I was fortunate when the crowd moved from the square toward the Government Office; I was in one place for more than 10 minutes. The crowd was electrically buzzing; it was magical, uplifting. Despite the quite decent winter weather and the darkness that had already set in, my fingers were freezing. Below is the result of my efforts. A significant portion of the photographs is precisely from the time when the crowd was in motion.

Historická regata v Benátkach

Historická regata v Benátkach je atraktívna kultúrna, ktorá láka veľké množstvo návštevníkov. Akcia odkazuje na slávne okamihy benátskej histórie, najmä na slávne stredoveké víťazstvá. Cez regatu je vidno veľa benátskych gondol a iných historických lodí, ktoré sú zdobené a obsadené veslármi v dobových kostýmoch.

Historická regata sa koná pravidelne v Benátkach prvú septembrovú nedeľu. Podujatie má neskutočnú tradíciu, ktorá je vnímateľná až prekypujúca. Koná sa od roku 1315. Prebieha najmä pozdĺž Canal Grande. Historická regata mala svoju slávnostnú historickú a športovejšiu časť. Celkový charakter akcie by som vyhodnotil ako kultúrno-spoločenský s pomerne silným patriotizmom pre domácich. Bolo evidentné, že najmä pre zrelších obyvateľov mesta bola táto akcia pohladením duše. Plavidlá boli rôzne pekne vyzdobené v ceremoniálnej časti a pekne oblečená bola aj posádka v nich. V športovej časti sa súťažilo v rôznych kategóriách, ja som sledoval len začiatok. Súťažili ženy, muži, , samozrejme tiež pekne zladení.

The Historical Regatta in Venice is an attractive cultural event that attracts a large number of visitors. The event recalls famous moments in Venetian history, especially the glorious medieval victories. During the regatta, you can see many Venetian gondolas and other historical boats, beautifully adorned and manned by rowers in period costumes.

The Historical Regatta takes place regularly in Venice on the first Sunday of September. The event has an incredible tradition that is palpable and overflowing. It has been held since 1315, primarily along the Grand Canal. The Historical Regatta has both its festive historical and more sports-oriented parts. I would evaluate the overall character of the event as cultural-social with a relatively strong sense of patriotism for the locals. It was evident that this event was a soul-soothing experience, especially for the more mature inhabitants of the city. The boats were beautifully decorated in the ceremonial part, and the crews were also nicely dressed. In the sports section, there were competitions in various categories, and I only watched the beginning. Women, men, and children competed, all elegantly coordinated, of course.

La Regata Storica a Venezia è un attraente evento culturale che attira un gran numero di visitatori. L’evento ricorda famosi momenti della storia veneziana, in particolare le gloriose vittorie medievali. Durante la regata, è possibile ammirare molte gondole veneziane e altre imbarcazioni storiche, splendidamente decorate e condotte da rematori in costumi d’epoca.

La Regata Storica si svolge regolarmente a Venezia la prima domenica di settembre. L’evento ha una tradizione incredibile, percepibile fino a essere travolgente. Si tiene dal 1315, principalmente lungo il Canal Grande. La Regata Storica ha la sua parte festosa e storica e una parte più orientata allo sport. Valuterei il carattere complessivo dell’evento come culturale-sociale con un patriottismo abbastanza forte per i locali. Era evidente che questa manifestazione fosse un’esperienza che toccava l’anima, soprattutto per gli abitanti più maturi della città. Le imbarcazioni erano splendidamente decorate nella parte cerimoniale e l’equipaggio era altrettanto ben vestito. Nella parte sportiva, c’erano gare in varie categorie, ma ho guardato solo l’inizio. Donne, uomini e bambini hanno gareggiato, tutti elegantemente coordinati, naturalmente.

Invex – Digitex – veľtrh informačných technológií a elektroniky

INVEX – DIGITEX 2008, Výstaviště 6.-9.10.2008

V roku 2008 som na INVEX-e dlho nepobudol. Boli tam pekné veci, ale môj záujem o ne nebol príliš veľký. Nesťažujem si, napokon som to čakal. Ak by ma však zaujalo viac vecí, potešilo by ma to. Chystal som sa najmä do „fotopavilónu“ a prekvapilo ma množstvo fór a „fotokurzov„. Čakal som v oveľa väčšom množstve expozície veľkých firiem ako Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony. Toho som sa nedočkal ani v oblasti výpočtovej techniky, ani v elektronike. Invex mi prišiel ako regionálny veľtrh pre menších podnikateľov, čo si myslím, je škoda.

In 2008, I didn’t spend much time at INVEX. There were nice things, but my interest in them wasn’t too great. I’m not complaining; after all, I expected that. However, if more things had caught my interest, it would have pleased me. I was especially heading to the „photo pavilion,“ and I was surprised by the abundance of forums and „photo courses.“ I expected a much larger presence from major companies like Canon, Nikon, Pentax, and Sony. I didn’t find that, neither in the field of computing technology nor in electronics. INVEX seemed to me more like a regional trade fair for smaller businesses, which I think is a pity.

V roce 2008 jsem na INVEXu dlouho nepobyl. Byly tam pěkné věci, ale můj zájem o ně nebyl příliš velký. Nestěžuji si, nakonec jsem to očekával. Kdyby mě však zaujalo více věcí, potěšilo by mě to. Chystal jsem se hlavně do „fotopavilonu“ a překvapilo mě množství fór a „fotokurzů“. Čekal jsem mnohem více expozic velkých firem jako Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony. Toho jsem se nedočkal ani v oblasti výpočetní techniky, ani v elektronice. Invex na mě působil jako regionální veletrh pro menší podnikatele, což si myslím, je škoda.

INVEX – DIGITEX 2006, Výstaviště Brno 9.-13.10.2006

Výstavu som navštívil spolu s mojimi kolegami z práce v jeden októbrový deň. Na Invexe sa mi páčilo a určite by som rád prišiel znovu. Upútal ma pavilón, kde boli televízie, a rozhlas a medzi inými aj Český rozhlas. Vo Fotoaréne sme mali možnosť návštevníci veľtrhu vidieť a použiť profesionálne zariadené štúdio, mohli si vyfotiť modelky a vypočuť si aj nejaký výklad. Modelky pózovali samé, ale aj vo dvojiciach. Jeden návštevník dostal ovládací kus, ktorým ovládal blesky vo „fotoateliéri„. V rámci sa konala v areáli BVV aj veľmi pekná výstava fotografií. Videl som viacerých autorov už „zabehaných“, ale aj niektoré snímky pochádzali z časopisu, do ktorého prispievali skôr amatérski nadšenci.  Záujem o pozorovanie maľovania na od pása nahé baby bol evidentný. Pani, ktorá maľovala poznám aj z podujatí v Piešťanoch.

I visited the exhibition with my colleagues from work on one October day. I liked INVEX, and I would certainly like to come again. I was drawn to the pavilion where televisions, newspapers, and radio were located, including Czech Radio. In the Photo Arena, visitors to the trade fair had the opportunity to see and use a professionally equipped studio, take pictures of models, and listen to some explanations. Models posed individually and in pairs. One visitor received a control piece to operate the flashes in the „photo studio.“ As part of the exhibition, a very nice photography exhibition took place in the BVV area. I saw several well-established authors, but some pictures came from a magazine where amateur enthusiasts contributed. There was evident interest in observing the painting of a naked woman from the waist up. I recognized the lady who was painting from events in .

Výstavu jsem navštívil spolu s kolegy z práce jednoho říjnového dne. Na Invexu se mi líbilo a určitě bych rád přišel znovu. Zaujal mě pavilon, kde byly televize, noviny a rozhlas, včetně Českého rozhlasu. Ve Fotoaréně měli návštěvníci možnost vidět a vyzkoušet profesionálně vybavené studio, fotit modelky a vyslechnout si i nějaký výklad. Modelky pózovaly samostatně i ve dvojicích. Jeden návštěvník dostal ovládací zařízení na řízení blesků ve „fotoateliéru“.

Součástí výstavy byla na výstavišti BVV také velmi pěkná výstava fotografií. Viděl jsem práce několika etablovaných autorů, ale také snímky z časopisu, kam přispívali spíše amatérští nadšenci. Zájem o pozorování malování na od pasu nahé modelky byl evidentní. Paní, která malovala, znám i z akcí v Piešťanech.
