Nemecky názov je . Žije tu viac takmer 6 tisíc obyvateľov (Wikipedia CZ). V 5. storočí na mieste dnešných Strážnic postavili osadu. Pred nimi tu žili 4 storočie pred n. l. a od konca 1. storočia (Skácel). Počiatky Strážnic sú spojované s upevňovaním hraníc českého štátu v dobe Přemysla Otakara II., v druhej polovici 13. storočia. Aj meno mesta je odvodzované od strážnej funkcie. Strážnický hrad bol postavený v roku 1260. O veľký rozmach mesta sa zaslúžil hejtman . Začiatkom 15. storočia kúpili , ktorí podporovali bratrícke . Takúto školu v rokoch 1604 – 5 navštevoval Ján Ámos Komenský, ktorý tu mal tetu. V máji 1605 bolo mesto vypálené (Vratislavský).

Dominantou mesta je Strážní z roku 1615 (straznice-mesto.cz). O vybudovaní národopisného múzea v prírode sa začalo uvažovať počiatkom 20. storočia. Avšak až v roku 1973 sa začalo z jeho výstavbou (skanzenstraznice.cz). Na prelome júna a júla sa tu konávajú  (Vratislavský).

In German, is called Strassnitz. Approximately 6,000 inhabitants live here ( CZ). In the 5th century, Slavs built a settlement in the area that is now Strážnice. Prior to them, Celts inhabited the region four centuries before Christ, followed by Germans from the end of the 1st century (Skácel). The beginnings of Strážnice are associated with the fortification of the state borders during the rule of II in the second half of the 13th century. The ‚s name itself is derived from its guarding function. Strážnice Castle was built in 1260. Captain Petr Strážnický played a significant role in the city’s development. In the early 15th century, the Žerotín family purchased the city, supporting fraternal education. In 1604-1605, Ján Ámos Komenský, who had an aunt in the city, attended such a school. In May 1605, the city was burned down (Vratislavský).

The town’s dominant feature is the White Tower of Strážnice, built in 1615 (straznice-mesto.cz). Consideration for the establishment of an ethnographic open-air museum began in the early 20th century. However, it was only in 1973 that construction commenced (skanzenstraznice.cz). Folklore festivals take place here at the turn of June and July (Vratislavský).

Strážnice ist eine kleine Stadt in der Nähe der Grenze zur Slowakei im Süden von Mähren, praktisch einen Katzensprung von Skalica entfernt.

Auf Deutsch wird es Strassnitz genannt. Etwa 6.000 Einwohner leben hier (Wikipedia CZ). Im 5. Jahrhundert errichteten Slawen eine Siedlung an der Stelle des heutigen Strážnice. Vor ihnen lebten Kelten in der Region vier Jahrhunderte vor Christus, gefolgt von Germanen ab Ende des 1. Jahrhunderts (Skácel). Die Anfänge von Strážnice sind mit der Befestigung der tschechischen Staatsgrenzen während der Herrschaft von Přemysl Otakar II. in der zweiten Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts verbunden. Der Name der Stadt selbst leitet sich von ihrer Schutzfunktion ab. Die Strážnice wurde 1260 erbaut. Hauptmann Petr Strážnický spielte eine bedeutende Rolle in der Entwicklung der Stadt. Anfang des 15. Jahrhunderts erwarb die Familie Žerotín die Stadt, die die Bruderschaftsbildung unterstützte. In den Jahren 1604-1605 besuchte Ján Ámos Komenský, der hier eine Tante hatte, eine solche Schule. Im Mai 1605 wurde die Stadt niedergebrannt (Vratislavský).

Das dominierende Merkmal der Stadt ist der Weiße Turm von Strážnice, der 1615 erbaut wurde (straznice-mesto.cz). Überlegungen zur Gründung eines ethnografischen Freilichtmuseums begannen zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts. Die Bauarbeiten begannen jedoch erst im Jahr 1973 (skanzenstraznice.cz). Folklorefestivals finden hier zur Wende von Juni und Juli statt (Vratislavský).
