Pat­rí medzi naj­men­šie pan­cier­ni­ky. Aj jeho slo­ven­ský názov je pan­cier­nik malý. V akvá­riu je to veľ­mi milé stvo­re­nie, kto­ré zve­da­vo ​“behá” po celej nádr­ži. Pat­rí do čeľa­de Cal­licht­hy­i­dae. Cory­do­ras pyg­ma­e­us je zná­my aj ako pyg­mej škvr­ni­to­hla­vec, pochá­dza z Juž­nej Ame­ri­ky, doras­tá do veľ­kos­ti pri­bliž­ne 2,5 cm. Telo má štíh­le so sýto hne­dým sfar­be­ním a cha­rak­te­ris­tic­ký­mi tma­vý­mi škvr­na­mi na bokoch. Má cha­rak­te­ris­tic­ké ​“kríd­la” na hrud­nej plut­ve, kto­ré mu pomá­ha­jú pri plá­va­ní a udr­žia­va­ní polo­hy na dne. Ten­to pan­cier­nik je zná­my svo­jou aktív­nos­ťou, veľ­mi rád sa zdr­žia­va v sku­pi­nách. Vyslo­ve­ne sa odpo­rú­ča cho­vať ho v sku­pi­nách. Je nená­roč­ný na chov v akvá­riu a je vhod­ný do spo­lo­čen­ské­ho akvá­ria s pokoj­ný­mi druh­mi. Pre­fe­ru­je mier­ne kys­lú a mäk­kú vodu o tep­lo­te v roz­sa­hu 22 – 26 °C.

Cory­do­ras pyg­ma­e­us, also kno­wn as the Pyg­my Cory­do­ras, is one of the smal­lest armo­red cat­fish. Its Slo­vak name, ​“pan­cier­nik malý,” trans­la­tes to Small Armo­red Cat­fish. In the aqu­arium, it is a delight­ful cre­a­tu­re that curi­ous­ly roams around the enti­re tank. Belo­n­ging to the Cal­licht­hy­i­dae fami­ly, Cory­do­ras pyg­ma­e­us hails from South Ame­ri­ca and gro­ws to app­ro­xi­ma­te­ly 2.5 cm in size. It has a slen­der body with a rich bro­wn colo­ra­ti­on and dis­tinc­ti­ve dark spots on its sides. The fish fea­tu­res cha­rac­te­ris­tic ​“wings” on its pec­to­ral fins, aiding in swim­ming and main­tai­ning a posi­ti­on at the bot­tom. Kno­wn for its acti­vi­ty, the Pyg­my Cory­do­ras thri­ves in group set­tings, and it is recom­men­ded to keep them in groups. It is unde­man­ding in aqu­arium care and suitab­le for com­mu­ni­ty tanks with pea­ce­ful tank­ma­tes. The spe­cies pre­fers slight­ly aci­dic and soft water with a tem­pe­ra­tu­re ran­ge of 22 – 26 °C.

Cory­do­ras pyg­ma­e­us, auch als Pygmäen-​Panzwels bekannt, gehört zu den kle­ins­ten gepan­zer­ten Har­nisch­wel­sen. Sein slo­wa­kis­cher Name ​“pan­cier­nik malý” bede­utet kle­i­ner gepan­zer­ter Wels. Im Aqu­arium ist es ein sehr ange­neh­mes Wesen, das neugie­rig im gesam­ten Bec­ken herum­lä­uft. Es gehört zur Fami­lie Cal­licht­hy­i­dae und stammt aus Süda­me­ri­ka. Cory­do­ras pyg­ma­e­us wächst auf eine Größe von etwa 2,5 cm heran. Der Kör­per ist sch­lank mit einer sat­ten brau­nen Fär­bung und cha­rak­te­ris­tis­chen dunk­len Flec­ken an den Sei­ten. Es hat auch cha­rak­te­ris­tis­che ​“Flügel” an den Brustf­los­sen, die ihm beim Sch­wim­men und Hal­ten einer Posi­ti­on am Boden hel­fen. Die­ser Pan­zer­wels ist für sei­ne Akti­vi­tät bekannt und fühlt sich ger­ne in Grup­pen wohl. Es wird emp­foh­len, ihn eben­falls in Grup­pen zu hal­ten. Der Fisch ist pfle­ge­le­icht im Aqu­arium und eig­net sich für Geme­in­schafts­bec­ken mit fried­li­chen Arten. Er bevor­zugt leicht sau­res und wei­ches Was­ser bei einer Tem­pe­ra­tur zwis­chen 22 und 26 °C.
