Dunaj aj v zime je majestátnou riekou pretekajúcou cez strednú Európu. V zime mení čiastočne svoj charakter. Nízke teploty spôsobujú zamŕzanie. Snehové zrážky budia dojem čistoty a ticha v scenérii, kde inak dominuje ruch. Zima formuje aj faunu a samozrejme aj flóru. Ľad dokáže obmedziť pohyb niektorých druhov rýb a iných vodných organizmov. Niektoré ryby sú aktívne aj v zime. Zamrznuté brehy sú priestorom realizácie pre vtáky, labute, kormorány, ktoré sú nachádzajú pokojné miesta na zimovanie. Brehy sú v zime aj domovom mnohých druhov vtákov. Nachádzajú tu aj potravu. Zima prináša príležitosť pre skúmanie adaptácií, zmien v ekosystéme.
The Danube, even in winter, remains a majestic river flowing through Central Europe. During the winter, it undergoes a partial transformation in its character. Low temperatures lead to freezing. Snowfall creates an impression of purity and silence in a scenery where noise would otherwise dominate. Winter shapes both the fauna and, of course, the flora. Ice can restrict the movement of certain fish and other aquatic organisms. Some fish remain active even in winter. Frozen banks become a space for realization for birds, swans, cormorants, which find peaceful places for wintering. The banks are also home to many species of birds in winter. They find food here as well. Winter brings an opportunity for studying adaptations and changes in the ecosystem.
