AkvaTera Trnava 20.9.2009
Akvaristicko – teraristická výstava/burza AkvaTera Trnava sa konala 20. septembra 2009 v priestoroch Obvodného úradu práce. Na 81 stoloch predávalo 35 predávajúcich zo Slovenska, Čiech a Rakúska. Celkový odhadovaný počet návštevníkov prevýšil magickú hranicu tisícky. V tomto čísle sú zarátaní aj neplatiaci návštevníci z radov detí, dôchodcov a zdravotne a telesne postihnutých. Verím, že sa nám podarí udržať kvalitu akcie minimálne na súčasnej úrovni a spravíme všetko preto aby tak návštevníci ako aj predávajúci odchádzali z AkvaTera Trnava rovnako spokojní ako tomu bolo doteraz. Termín konania ďalšej akcie bude na jar 2010. Konkrétny dátum spresníme čoskoro na stránke att.plazyunas.com.

AkvaTera Trnava 20.9.2009
The aquarium and terrarium exhibition/fair AkvaTera Trnava took place on September 20, 2009, at the premises of the District Labor Office. 35 sellers from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Austria sold their goods at 81 tables. The estimated total number of visitors exceeded the magical threshold of a thousand. This number includes non-paying visitors from the ranks of children, retirees, and the disabled. I believe that we will manage to maintain the quality of the event at least at the current level and we will do everything to ensure that both visitors and sellers leave AkvaTera Trnava as satisfied as they have been so far. AkvaTera Trnava 31.5.2009
Posledný májový deň v roku 2009 sa uskutočnila už štvrtá ATT výstava/burza v Trnave. Vďaka veľkému záujmu predávajúcich a návštevníkov sa konala vo väčších priestoroch ako tomu bolo prvé tri razy. Na naše potešenie boli aj nové priestory, štyri krát väčšie ako dovtedy, beznádejne vypredané predávajúcimi a naplnené dychtivými návštevníkmi. Predávajúci zo štyroch krajín vystavovali svoju ponuku na 78 stoloch. Potešila na slovenské pomery vysoká účasť predávajúcich z Českej republiky. Piati vystavovali na 18 stoloch zvieratá a tovar, ktorý pútal pozornosť davu návštevníkov. Tých prišlo behom 3 hodín na ATT cca 1000! Aj preto sme sa rozhodli predĺžiť čas nadchádzajúcej burzy na 4 hodiny od 8:00-12:00.
Prvé tri akcie sa konali v CVČ Kalokagatia v Trnave. Prvá akcia sa konala 16.9.2007, ďalšie 8.6.2008, 5.10.2008. Vzhľadom na vysokú účasť návštevníkov a nedostatočné kapacity pre uspokojenie predávajúcich sme už túto, v poradí štvrtú burzu zorganizovali vo väčších priestoroch v priestoroch Obvodného úradu prác (vedľa OC MAX) – Jána Bottu 4, Trnava GPS: 48°22’9.02″N / 17°34’38.62″E.

On the last day of May in 2009, the fourth ATT exhibition/fair took place in Trnava. Thanks to the great interest of sellers and visitors, it was held in larger premises than the first three times. To our delight, there were also new spaces, four times larger than before, hopelessly sold out by sellers and filled with eager visitors. Sellers from four countries displayed their offerings on 78 tables. The high participation of sellers from the Czech Republic was pleasing by Slovak standards. Five exhibitors presented animals and goods on 18 tables, attracting the attention of the crowd of visitors. About 1000 people came to ATT during the 3 hours! That’s why we decided to extend the duration of the upcoming fair to 4 hours from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The first three events took place at the CVČ Kalokagatia in Trnava. The first event was held on September 16, 2007, followed by June 8, 2008, and October 5, 2008. Due to the high attendance of visitors and insufficient capacity to satisfy sellers, we organized this, the fourth fair in larger premises at the District Labor Office (next to OC MAX) – Jána Bottu 4, Trnava GPS: 48°22’9.02″N / 17°34’38.62″E.
V Bratislave v Inchebe sa konala 8. až 11.10.2009 Svetová výstava psov. Mrzí ma, že som si našiel málo času na to, aby som si vychutnal túto výstavu. Našiel som si iba hodinku a to som musel dávať pozor na čas, aby som stihol vlak. Nabudúce určite pôjdem od rána. Veľmi ma potešilo aj to, že počas akcie som stretol Ivana Čanigu, ktorý sa tiež zjavne bavil vďaka štvornohým stvoreniam všakovakých tvarov.
Svojho času som už navštívil viaceré výstavy psov. Táto bola naozaj obrovská. Samotné priestory Incheby, kde zvyknú byť výstavy psov nestačili a preto sa súťažilo a vystavovalo aj pred hlavnými halami pod velikánskym stanom. Napokon, je to vidno na úvodných fotografiách. Už teraz sa teším na nasledujúcu výstavu.
In Bratislava at Incheba, the World Dog Show took place from October 8th to 11th, 2009. I regret that I didn’t manage to find enough time to fully enjoy the exhibition. I only had an hour, and I had to keep an eye on the time to catch my train. Next time, I’ll definitely go early in the morning. It was also a great pleasure to meet Ivan Čaniga during the event, who seemed to be enjoying himself among the various four-legged creatures of all shapes and sizes.
Over time, I’ve attended several dog shows, but this one was truly massive. The Incheba premises, where dog shows are usually held, proved insufficient, leading to competitions and displays taking place even outside the main halls under a gigantic tent, as evident in the introductory photos. I’m already looking forward to the next exhibition.
10.10.2009 sa uskutočnila v Dome kultúry v Dúbravke, v Bratislave v poradí druhá bratislavská teraristická burza (BTB) Tropicana Pressburg. Najviac boli ponúkané plazy, predovšetkým jaštery. Veľa bolo aj slimákov, hadov. Čiastočne bola zastúpená aj akvaristika. Zvláštne pre mňa boli kalone, čo sú netopiere. Podľa fotografií si môžete spraviť obraz o tom, ako to tam vypadalo. Ja odhadujem, že predajcovia boli zhruba na 50 metroch, keby boli v jednom rade. Atmosféra bola výborná, teraristi sú takmer bez výnimky tolerantní, pokojní ľudia, kto neverí, nech príde napr. na ďalšiu Tropicanu, ktorá bude na jar 2010.
On October 10, 2009, the second terrarium fair in Bratislava, Tropicana Pressburg (BTB), took place at the Culture House in Dúbravka. The event featured a significant offering of reptiles, especially lizards. There were also many snails and snakes available. Additionally, there was a partial representation of aquarium-related items. Particularly intriguing for me were „kalone,“ which are bats. From the photos, you can get an idea of how it looked there. I estimate that the sellers were spread over approximately 50 meters if they were in a single row. The atmosphere was excellent; terrarium enthusiasts are, without exception, tolerant and peaceful people. Anyone who doubts this should come to the next Tropicana, scheduled for spring 2010.
V Žiline ZO Akvafit začala v decembri 2009 organizovať vždy každú prvú nedeľu v mesiaci v Dome techniky na ulici Vysokoškolákov, akvaristickú burzu. Akcia sa koná spolu s vtáčkarskou (exotárskou) burzou, ktorá sa koná už dlhé roky. Prvá akcia sa konala 6.12.2009 od 6:30 do 11:30. Exotárska časť vtedy skončila 9:30, ako býva zvykom. Aj mňa zaskočilo, že akcie sa konajú v nedeľu a ešte k tomu tak skoro ráno. Čudoval som sa, aj keď som vedel, že exotári to tak majú vo zvyku aj v iným mestách Slovenska. My sme sa na prvú burzu vybrali štyria z Bratislavy v dvoch autách. Jeden z nás dokonca ani nebral žiadny tovar. Aj my ostatní sme šli skôr naľahko oťukať terén. Okrem nás prišli aj Ostraváci, Poliaci, iní Bratislavčania a nejakí domáci. Veľmi sa nám páčili stoly, ktoré boli pevné a aj pekné. Páčilo sa nám aj množstvo ľudí, ktoré prišlo. Odhadujem viac ako 500 ľudí. My sme dorazili asi 5:45 na miesto a už sa aj trúsili pomedzi nás aj prví zákazníci. O siedmej hodine ráno tam bol nával. Po deviatej začalo ľudí evidentne ubúdať. Akvaristov prišlo samozrejme pomenej, ale to sa dalo očakávať. Exotári však neohrdli a popozerali aj našu ponuku a podaktorí utratili aj dáke euryčká. Ja som zase rád popozeral ich vtáky, ale eurá som minul iba na párky a kofolu v miestnom pridruženom „bufete„. Bufet bol zaujímavý – promptný, sympatický personál, predával sa aj PMDD. Snáď sa ho nik nenapil ;-). Akvaristická časť ponúkala ryby, rastliny, krevety, slimáky, krmivá suché, živé, mrazené. Najmä mrazené krmivo bol výborný tovar, plné auto ktorým ho istý Poliak doniesol, ostalo skoro prázdne. Mrazené ponúkali aj Ostraváci, okrem toho mali živé patentky, koretry, nitenky, dafnie aj mikry. Po akcii sme sa premiestnili tuším štyrmi autami ku Jankovi Budaiovi, kde nám ukázal jeho klenoty. Po odchode od Jana sme nabrali kurz Bratislava.
Medzitým sa konalo už množstvo týchto búrz. Reakcie na ne neboli vždy len pozitívne. Pikošky, ktoré šli v Bratislave, v Žiline nechcel skoro nikto. Druhá takáto spoločná exotársko-akvaristická akcia bola 3.1.2010, čo je z môjho pohľadu hrozný termín. Napriek tomu prebehla ku spokojnosti všetkých :-)). Každopádne si myslím, takéto akcie sa nám páčili po každej stránke. Vďaka tradícii exotárov a pravidelnosti budú pre nás prínosom. Myslím samozrejme aj na pozíciu predajcov aj zákazníkov. Samozrejmé je aj to, že záujmy exotárov a akvaristov sa prelínajú aj odlišujú. Ich motivácia chovať aj kupovať je podobná. Teším sa preto na ďalšie akcie.
In Žilina, the Zoological Organization Akvafit started organizing an aquarium market every first Sunday of the month at the House of Technology on Vysokoškolákov Street in December 2009. The event is held together with an exotic bird market, which has been taking place for many years. The first event took place on December 6, 2009, from 6:30 to 11:30. The exotic part ended at 9:30, as is customary. I was surprised that the events take place on Sundays and so early in the morning, although I knew that exotic enthusiasts have this habit in other cities in Slovakia.
Four of us from Bratislava attended the first market in two cars. One of us didn’t even bring any goods; we were there to explore the terrain lightly. Besides us, participants came from Ostrava, Poland, other Bratislavans, and some locals. We liked the sturdy and nice-looking tables and were impressed by the number of people attending. I estimate more than 500 people were present. We arrived around 5:45 am, and the first customers were already mingling among us. By 7 am, there was a rush, and after 9 am, the number of people started to decrease. Naturally, fewer aquarium enthusiasts attended, but that was expected. Exotic bird enthusiasts also explored our offerings, and some spent a few euros. I enjoyed looking at their birds, but I only spent money on hot dogs and cola at the local „buffet,“ which was interesting – prompt service, friendly staff, and they even sold PMDD. Hopefully, no one drank it ;-). The aquarium section offered fish, plants, shrimp, snails, and various types of dry, live, and frozen feeds. Especially the frozen feed was excellent; a full car brought by a certain Pole was almost empty by the end. The Ostrava participants also offered frozen goods, along with live killifish, catfish, loaches, daphnia, and baby brine shrimp.
After the event, we moved with about four cars to Janko Budaio’s place, where he showed us his treasures. After leaving Janko’s, we set course for Bratislava. Meanwhile, several such markets have taken place. Reactions to them were not always positive. Trinkets that sold well in Bratislava were not desired in Žilina. The second joint exotic-aquarium event was on January 3, 2010, which, from my perspective, was a terrible date. Nevertheless, it went well to everyone’s satisfaction. In any case, we liked such events from every aspect. Thanks to the tradition of exotic enthusiasts and the regularity, they will be beneficial for us. I also think about the position of both sellers and customers. It’s evident that the interests of exotic enthusiasts and aquarium enthusiasts overlap and differ. Their motivation to breed and buy is similar. I look forward to future events.
