Zierfische und Aquarium – akvaristický veľtrh v Duisburgu

Ide o chovateľský veľtrh, ktorý sa ale dosť líši od iného konaného v Nürnbergu. Veľmi sa mi páčilo, že duisburgský veľtrh na mňa pôsobil „teplo„. Nebol to biznis, honba za veľkých obchodom, za peniazmi. Skôr som mal pocit, že ide o uspokojenie obyčajných malých zákazníkov, ba dokonca často až o propagáciu akvaristiky. Na veľkej ploche sa tam prezentovali aj niektoré iniciatívy ako Garnelen forum, Cichliden Tage a napokon aj Diskus Championat a Bewertungsschau des EHBBC – výstava bojovníc. Výstavisko navštívilo neskutočné množstvo ľudí, cca 40 000, výstava trvala od 2.10 do 10.10.2008. Záujem bol asi o všetko, o vodné , o techniku, literatúru, , výstavu terčovcov. Tovar bol rozmanitý, ponuka lákala, ja sa určite do Duisburgu vrátim. Z veľtrhu sme šli do akvaristiky Hobby ZOO Tillmann.

It is a breeding fair, but it differs quite a bit from another one held in Nuremberg. I really liked that the Duisburg fair felt „warm“ to me. It wasn’t about business, chasing big deals, chasing money. Instead, I had the feeling that it was about satisfying ordinary small customers, and even often promoting aquaristics. Some initiatives were presented on a large area, such as Garnelen forum, Cichliden Tage, and finally, the Diskus Championship and Bewertungsschau des EHBBC – the fighting fish exhibition. An incredible number of people, approximately 40,000, visited the exhibition, which lasted from October 2nd to October 10th, 2008. There was interest in everything, water plants, equipment, literature, fish, and the cichlid exhibition. The goods were diverse, the offer was enticing, and I will definitely return to Duisburg.

Es handelt sich um eine Zuchtbörse, die sich jedoch ziemlich von einer anderen in Nürnberg durchgeführten unterscheidet. Mir gefiel sehr gut, dass die Duisburger Messe auf mich „warm“ wirkte. Es ging nicht um Geschäft, nicht um die Jagd nach großen Deals, nicht um Geld. Eher hatte ich das Gefühl, dass es darum ging, die einfachen kleinen Kunden zufriedenzustellen, und sogar oft um die Förderung der Aquaristik. Auf einer großen Fläche präsentierten sich einige Initiativen wie Garnelenforum, Cichliden Tage und schließlich auch die Diskusmeisterschaft und Bewertungsschau des EHBBC – die Ausstellung der Kampffische. Eine unglaubliche Anzahl von Menschen, etwa 40.000, besuchte die Messe, die vom 2. bis 10. Oktober 2008 dauerte. Es gab Interesse an allem, Wasserplanzen, Ausrüstung, Literatur, Fische und die Ausstellung der Buntbarsche. Die Ware war vielfältig, das Angebot verlockend, und ich werde definitiv nach Duisburg zurückkehren.

Akvafit Žilina

V Žiline ZO Akvafit začala v decembri 2009 organizovať vždy každú prvú nedeľu v mesiaci v Dome techniky na ulici Vysokoškolákov, akvaristickú burzu. Akcia sa koná spolu s vtáčkarskou (exotárskou) burzou, ktorá sa koná už dlhé roky. Prvá akcia sa konala 6.12.2009 od 6:30 do 11:30. Exotárska časť vtedy skončila 9:30, ako býva zvykom. Aj mňa zaskočilo, že akcie sa konajú v nedeľu a ešte k tomu tak skoro ráno. Čudoval som sa, aj keď som vedel, že exotári to tak majú vo zvyku aj v iným mestách Slovenska. My sme sa na prvú burzu vybrali štyria z Bratislavy v dvoch autách. Jeden z nás dokonca ani nebral žiadny tovar. Aj my ostatní sme šli skôr naľahko oťukať terén. Okrem nás prišli aj Ostraváci, Poliaci, iní Bratislavčania a nejakí domáci. Veľmi sa nám páčili stoly, ktoré boli pevné a aj pekné. Páčilo sa nám aj množstvo ľudí, ktoré prišlo. Odhadujem viac ako 500 ľudí. My sme dorazili asi 5:45 na miesto a už sa aj trúsili pomedzi nás aj prví zákazníci. O siedmej hodine ráno tam bol nával. Po deviatej začalo ľudí evidentne ubúdať. Akvaristov prišlo samozrejme pomenej, ale to sa dalo očakávať. Exotári však neohrdli a popozerali aj našu ponuku a podaktorí utratili aj dáke euryčká. Ja som zase rád popozeral ich , ale eurá som minul iba na párky a kofolu v miestnom pridruženom „bufete„. Bufet bol zaujímavý – promptný, sympatický personál, predával sa aj PMDD. Snáď sa ho nik nenapil ;-). Akvaristická časť ponúkala , , , slimáky, suché, živé, mrazené. Najmä mrazené krmivo bol výborný tovar, plné auto ktorým ho istý Poliak doniesol, ostalo skoro prázdne. Mrazené ponúkali aj Ostraváci, okrem toho mali živé patentky, koretry, nitenky, dafnie aj mikry. Po akcii sme sa premiestnili tuším štyrmi autami ku Jankovi Budaiovi, kde nám ukázal jeho klenoty. Po odchode od Jana sme nabrali kurz .

Medzitým sa konalo už množstvo týchto búrz. Reakcie na ne neboli vždy len pozitívne. Pikošky, ktoré šli v Bratislave, v Žiline nechcel skoro nikto. Druhá takáto spoločná exotársko-akvaristická akcia bola 3.1.2010, čo je z môjho pohľadu hrozný termín. Napriek tomu prebehla ku spokojnosti všetkých :-)). Každopádne si myslím, takéto akcie sa nám páčili po každej stránke. Vďaka tradícii exotárov a pravidelnosti budú pre nás prínosom. Myslím samozrejme aj na pozíciu predajcov aj zákazníkov. Samozrejmé je aj to, že záujmy exotárov a akvaristov sa prelínajú aj odlišujú. Ich motivácia chovať aj kupovať je podobná. Teším sa preto na ďalšie akcie.

In Žilina, the Zoological Organization Akvafit started organizing an aquarium market every first Sunday of the month at the House of Technology on Vysokoškolákov Street in December 2009. The event is held together with an exotic bird market, which has been taking place for many years. The first event took place on December 6, 2009, from 6:30 to 11:30. The exotic part ended at 9:30, as is customary. I was surprised that the events take place on Sundays and so early in the morning, although I knew that exotic enthusiasts have this habit in other cities in Slovakia.

Four of us from Bratislava attended the first market in two cars. One of us didn’t even bring any goods; we were there to explore the terrain lightly. Besides us, participants came from Ostrava, Poland, other Bratislavans, and some locals. We liked the sturdy and nice-looking tables and were impressed by the number of people attending. I estimate more than 500 people were present. We arrived around 5:45 am, and the first customers were already mingling among us. By 7 am, there was a rush, and after 9 am, the number of people started to decrease. Naturally, fewer aquarium enthusiasts attended, but that was expected. Exotic bird enthusiasts also explored our offerings, and some spent a few euros. I enjoyed looking at their birds, but I only spent money on hot dogs and cola at the local „buffet,“ which was interesting – prompt service, friendly staff, and they even sold PMDD. Hopefully, no one drank it ;-). The aquarium section offered fish, plants, shrimp, snails, and various types of dry, live, and frozen feeds. Especially the frozen feed was excellent; a full car brought by a certain Pole was almost empty by the end. The Ostrava participants also offered frozen goods, along with live killifish, catfish, loaches, daphnia, and baby brine shrimp.

After the event, we moved with about four cars to Janko Budaio’s place, where he showed us his treasures. After leaving Janko’s, we set course for Bratislava. Meanwhile, several such markets have taken place. Reactions to them were not always positive. Trinkets that sold well in Bratislava were not desired in Žilina. The second joint exotic-aquarium event was on January 3, 2010, which, from my perspective, was a terrible date. Nevertheless, it went well to everyone’s satisfaction. In any case, we liked such events from every aspect. Thanks to the tradition of exotic enthusiasts and the regularity, they will be beneficial for us. I also think about the position of both sellers and customers. It’s evident that the interests of exotic enthusiasts and aquarium enthusiasts overlap and differ. Their motivation to breed and buy is similar. I look forward to future events.

Rizlaci bola dobrá akvaristika v Banskej Bystrici

Prečo sa volá RIZLACI? Nuž preto, lebo sa s manželkou jej majiteľ dohodol, že názov predajne bude zložený z mena Richard, jej mena Zlatica a ich spoločného priezviska Cirák. Akvaristika sa nachádza v Banskej Bystrici na nám. SNP č. 20. Vchod do predajne je z Lazovnej , čo je od asi 60 metrov. Predajňa má len krátku históriu, otvorila po prvýkrát 6. novembra 2006 a má rozlohu 89 m2. Je orientovaná hlavne na predaj akváriových rybičiek a predaj rastliniek do akvárií. Je to Rišov koníček, ktorému sa s menším prestávkami venuje takmer 30 rokov. V akváriách sa nachádza veľmi široký výber rybičiek z celého sveta. V tejto predajni sa v poslednom období konajú aj tzv. „akvastretká“, na ktorých sa stretávajú skúsení ale aj menej skúsení akvaristi, ktorí sa vzájomne dopĺňajú o skúsenosti z oblasti akvaristiky.

V najväčšej miestnosti, sa nachádza predajný pult, na ktorom sú umiestnené rôzne druhy granulovaného, vločkového a mrazeného krmiva v rozváženom stave, ale aj v originálnom balení, teráriá s rôznymi druhmi hadov a iných teráriových zvierat. Ponuka krmív je pestrá, nájdu sa tu najmä výrobky firiem TROPICAL, SAK, DAJANA. Mrazené sú zastúpené v plnej zostave. Veľmi kladne hodnotím, že Richard máva v ponuke aj živú potravu – koretru, patentku a nitenky. V presklenej časti predajného pultu sú rôzne pochúťky pre psov a mačky, ako aj potreby pre akvaristov a teraristov. Za predajným pultom sa nachádzajú tri väčšie kovové stojany, na ktorých sú umiestnené rôzne druhy filtrov do akvárií, vzduchovacie motorčeky, ohrievače, a ako aj keramiky slúžiace na dekoráciu do akvárií. Okrem iného aj potreby pre chovateľov teráriových zvierat, hlodavcov, vtákov a v neposlednom rade aj pre chovateľov psov a mačiek. V tejto miestnosti, v ľavej časti sa nachádzajú kovové stojany na ktorých je celkom umiestnených 50 akvárií, pričom najväčšie má objem 550 litrov. V strede miestnosti sa nachádza aj antikorová tzv. „vaňa“, ktorá má objem do 1000 litrov a v nej spokojne plávajú rôzne farebné druhy karasov a koi kaprov ako aj jeseterov, určených hlavne do vonkajších záhradných jazierok. V druhej miestnosti sa nachádzajú rôzne druhy terárií a akvárií a klietok. V tejto miestnosti sú aj teráriá s väčšími druhmi plazov a klietky s rôznymi druhmi okrasných vtákov. Ponuku rastlín tvorí prevažne ponuka Aqua-DAHO v emerznej aj v submerznej forme. Obľúbené sú najmä druhy rodov Anubias, Cryptocoryne a Crinum. Liečivá v akvaristike sú najmä od firmy SERA.

Riša bavia a je to vidieť aj v jeho predajni. V nádržiach sa nachádza veľké množstvo druhov rýb, z ktorých viaceré nepatria do bežného sortimentu v chovateľských obchodoch. Riša som poznal ešte predtým, ako si „spravil“ Akvaristiku a poznal som ho ako nadšenca, ktorý vtedy pre seba aktívne sám zháňal ryby od výmyslu sveta. Pravdepodobne tomu zostal verný, pretože v jeho obchode vždy nájdete zaujímavé kúsky aj pre ostrieľaného chovateľa. Je škoda, že predajňa spredu nepôsobí prívetivo. Fasáda mestskej steny je ošarpaná a doslova škaredá. Ďalšou vecou, ktorá by sa hodila ku nádržiam je pozadie, keďže v stojanoch sú bez neho. Lepšie by vynikli ryby aj a celé by to získalo kompaktnosť. V čase mojej nedávnej návštevy EXOTIC Show v Banskej Bystrici som zistil, že Richard dal za akvária pozadia. V akvaristike RIZLACI sú vždy, keď som tam, ryby očividne v poriadku. Akvaristika RIZLACI je pre mňa veľmi zaujímavá. Nie je to typická uhladená predajňa, premyslená do detailov, ale je to dielo, ktoré sa stavia za pochodu. Zanietený akvarista by si mal do nej cestu nájsť a verím tomu, že vďaka zaujímavým rybám vo výbornom stave a prístupu personálu, sa tam aj často vráti.

Akvaristika bohužiaľ medzičasom skončila, avšak tí ktorí ju zosobňovali sú stále fajn.

The name „RIZLACI“ for the aquarium shop in has an interesting origin. It is a combination of the names Richard and Zlatica, the owners of the shop, and their shared surname, Cirák. Located at SNP Square No. 20 in Banská Bystrica, the entrance to the shop is from Lazovná Street, approximately 60 meters from the square. Despite its short history, as it first opened its doors on November 6, 2006, the shop has made a mark with its area of 89 m², primarily focusing on the sale of aquarium fish and aquatic plants.

Richard, the owner, has been involved in this hobby for almost 30 years, dedicating himself to it with occasional breaks. The shop offers a wide selection of fish from around the world. In recent times, the shop has also been hosting „akvastreks,“ where experienced and less experienced aquarists come together to share their knowledge and experiences in the field of aquatics.

The main room features a sales counter displaying various types of granulated, flake, and frozen fish food, both in bulk and original packaging. Additionally, terrariums with different species of snakes and other terrarium animals are showcased. The diverse food selection includes products from reputable brands such as TROPICAL, SAK, and DAJANA. Frozen foods are also available in full supply. Notably, the shop offers live food such as worms, brine shrimp, and daphnia. A glass section of the sales counter displays treats for dogs and cats, as well as supplies for aquarists and terrarists. Behind the counter are three larger metal stands holding various aquarium filters, air pumps, heaters, roots, stones, and ceramics for aquarium decoration. The shop also caters to the needs of reptile, rodent, bird, dog, and cat enthusiasts.

In the left part of the room, metal stands with 50 aquariums, the largest having a volume of 550 liters, are neatly arranged. Additionally, there is an anticorrosive „tub“ with a capacity of up to 1000 liters, housing various colorful species of carp, koi carp, sturgeons, mainly intended for outdoor garden ponds. The second room houses different types of terrariums, aquariums, and birdcages, along with larger terraria containing various reptiles and cages housing different species of ornamental birds. The plant selection mainly consists of offerings from Aqua-DAHO, both in emersed and submersed forms. Popular species include Anubias, Cryptocoryne, and Crinum. Medications in aquaristics are primarily from the SERA company.

Richard’s enthusiasm for fish is evident, and it is reflected in his shop. The tanks are stocked with a wide variety of fish, including some not commonly found in typical pet stores. Richard was known to me even before he established „Akvaristika RIZLACI.“ I knew him as an enthusiast who actively sought fish from all corners of the world. He seems to have remained true to this passion because his shop always offers interesting finds for both seasoned and novice hobbyists.

It’s unfortunate that the storefront doesn’t exude a welcoming vibe. The facade against the city wall is worn and frankly unattractive. Another improvement that would enhance the tanks is a background, as the aquariums in the stands are currently without one. This addition would make the fish and plants stand out, giving the entire setup a more cohesive appearance.

During my recent visit to the EXOTIC Show in Banská Bystrica, I noticed that Richard had added backgrounds to the aquariums. The fish are visibly in good condition whenever I visit RIZLACI. Akvaristika RIZLACI is fascinating to me. It’s not the typical polished store meticulously planned to the last detail but rather a work in progress. An enthusiastic aquarist should find their way there, and I believe that thanks to the interesting and healthy fish and the staff’s approach, they will return frequently.

Unfortunately, Akvaristika has ended in the meantime, but those who embodied it are still great.

Medzinárodná výstava bojovníc v Martine

ZO SZCH AKVA usporiadala medzinárodnú súťaž samcov bojovníc v dňoch 15.-16.9.2007 v Martine, v priestoroch Centra voľného času Kamarát na ul. A. Kmeťa 22. Súčasťou akcie bola aj kolekcia niekoľkých výstavných nádrži a burza akváriových rýb.

Sedím v reštaurácii, podotýkam v mexickej, je mi veľmi dobre. Polievka mi chutí ako málokedy, nevadí že je štipľavá ako čert. V uliciach Martina nie je veľmi rušno, vládne sobotná poludňajšia siesta a ja so Silvom si pochutnávame na obede. Asi po 5 lyžičke fazuľovej dobroty mi napadlo napísať svoje dojmy z v Martine. Slušne som sa ohlásil deň vopred, keďže ma chlapci v Martine poznajú.

Našiel som si spoločnosť, bolo mi potešením cestovať so Silvesterom. Obaja máme radi vzduch a voľný priestor, tak sme pekne krásne šli vlakom. Keď sme dorazili do Martina, zašli sme sa hneď ukázať, že sme krásni, zdraví a silní a sme tu. Veleniu výstavy sme oboznámili, že sme hladní, a keďže vlkov treba nasýtiť, tak sme šli nájsť nejaké ovečky. Obdoba amerického občerstvenia v matičnom meste sa nám nijako nepáčila, tak sme hľadali niečo vhodnejšie. Mali sme trošku problémy s navigáciou, akosi sme nevedeli podľa smerových šípok nájsť , ani iný podobný otvor, ale napokon sme sa úspešne ocitli na masívnom drevenom nábytku miestnej mexičanky. Zrejme pošleme demarš európskej únii s tým, že máme pocit, že apači by označkovali cestu na salaš lepšie. Budem galantný, a poviem že ja som sa naozaj výborne najedol. Rúno mi síce nezostalo, ale jedlo bolo božské a aj množstvo sa mi pozdávalo.

Na výstave nás pekne privítali. Zaujalo ma dobrovoľné vstupné. Martinský klub sa pochlapil, vyhotovil pre bojovnice pekné drevom obložené stojany. Na vrchu sa pýšil nápis „Medzinárodná súťaž bojovníc Betta splendens Martin 2007. Oficiálny názov akcie bol: Medzinárodné majstrovstvá Betta splendens, 3. kolo Martin 14.9.2007. Posudzovali: Holm Arndt, Slavomil Boudný a Ján Budai. Ako adept posudzovateľ bol prítomný Alfred Gorny. Predsedom posudzovateľskej komisie bol Janusz Oziomek. Posudzovalo sa podľa štandardu, ktorý preferuje SZCH, a ktorého takpovediac krstným otcom je Holm Arndt. Výstavy sa zúčastnilo 39 chovateľov zo štyroch štátov, ôsmich organizácií, ktorí poslali 90 kolekcií. Náš klub sa takisto zúčastnil vďaka Branislavovi Barčinovi. Riaditeľov výstavy bol Ľudovít Fujko.  Mňa osobne najviac oslovil samec Slávka Boudného. Okrem bojovníc tu boli pekné , kde boli okrem iného nádherné čiene, perlovky, krásne guramy perleťové, tetry cisárske. Ponuku pre návštevníkov dopĺňala burza rybičiek, rastlín a iného akvaristického tovaru. Ostatne pozrite sa na nižšie. Na akcii sme si vymenili najmä s martinskými kolegami, dokonca aj s pánom Norbertom Dokoupilom z Bratislavy. Veľmi ma teší, že som spoznal Igora Bukového z martinskej organizácie a pevne verím, že spolupráca s ním mne, aj nášmu klubu prinesie osoh. Dúfam, že sa vám fotografie budú páčiť a želám vám úspešný .

International Betta Exhibition in Martin

The SZCH AKVA Martin organized an international competition for male Betta splendens on September 15-16, 2007, in Martin, at the Center of Free Time „Kamarát“ on A. Kmeťa Street 22. The event included a collection of exhibition tanks and an aquarium fish exchange.

Sitting in a restaurant, a Mexican one, I must emphasize that I’m enjoying myself very much. The soup tastes like rarely before, even though it’s spicy as the devil. The streets of Martin are not very busy; the Saturday midday siesta reigns, and Silvo and I are relishing our lunch. After about five spoonfuls of bean goodness, I thought about sharing my impressions of the exhibition in Martin. I announced my arrival a day in advance since the guys in Martin know me.

I found good company, and it was a pleasure to travel with Silvester. Both of us enjoy fresh air and open space, so we had a nice and beautiful train journey. When we arrived in Martin, we immediately showed that we are beautiful, healthy, strong, and here. We informed the exhibition command that we were hungry, and since wolves need to be fed, we went to find some sheep. The local version of an American fast-food joint didn’t appeal to us, so we looked for something more suitable. We had a bit of trouble with navigation; somehow we couldn’t find the door according to the directional arrows, or any similar opening. But eventually, we successfully ended up on the massive wooden furniture of a local Mexican lady. We might send a demarche to the European Union, stating that we feel the Apaches would mark the path to the shepherd better. I’ll be gallant and say that I really ate well. My fur didn’t stay, but the food was divine, and I liked the amount.

We were warmly welcomed at the exhibition. I was intrigued by the voluntary entrance fee. The Martin club manned up, made nice wooden stands for the bettas, proudly displaying the inscription „International Betta splendens Championship Martin 2007.“ The official name of the event was: International Championship Betta splendens, 3rd round Martin on September 14, 2007. Judges: Holm Arndt, Slavomil Boudný, and Ján Budai. As an aspiring judge, Alfred Gorny was present. The chairman of the judging committee was Janusz Oziomek. Judging was done according to the standard preferred by SZCH, essentially created by Holm Arndt. Thirty-nine breeders from four countries and eight organizations participated, sending 90 collections. Our club also participated, thanks to Branislav Barčin. The exhibition director was Ľudovít Fujko. Personally, I was most impressed by Slavko Boudný’s betta male. Besides bettas, there were beautiful tanks with, among others, stunning Siamese fighting fish, pearl gouramis, and emperor tetras. The offer for visitors was complemented by a fish exchange, plant exchange, and other aquarium goods. Check out the photos below. I’m delighted to have met Igor Bukový from the Martin organization, and I firmly believe that cooperation with him will bring benefits to me and our club. Výstavy v Hrabušiciach

Rok 2007

Aj v roku 2007 SZCH ZO v Spišskej Novej Vsi pripravila výstavu živorodiek v dňoch 16.-17.6.2007 v Hrabušiciach. 1. kolo ME Xipho-Molly mal na starosti tradične Ladislav Jakubec. Medzinárodní pozorovatelia boli: Michael Lehmann a Marián Stieranka. Posudzovali: Karel Krček, Matthias Trauzettel, Janusz Oziomek, Ivan Vyslúžil a Milan Vetrák. Posudzovalo sa 123 kolekcií. V kategórii Poecilia latipinna zvíťazil Ivan Vyslúžil pred Michaelom Lehmannom na druhom aj treťom mieste. Poecilia sphenops vyhral znovu Ivan Vyslúžil, pobral aj 2. miesto. Na 3. mieste sa umiestnil Boguslaw Micinski. Poecilia velifera vyhral Michael Lehmnann, ktorý obsadil aj druhé aj tretie miesto. Xiphophorus helleri: 1. Ladislav Mazanec, 2. Zdeněk Machek, 3. Medzinárodná súťaž chovateľov živorodých rýb Guppy – páry dopadla nasledovne: vedúcim bol Laco Jakubec. Medzinárodní pozorovatelia: Anatol Žydaczewski a Miroslav Konôpka. Posudzovali: Roman Slaboch, Alfred Górny, Fodor, Dušan Habada a Marián Stieranka. Klasifikovaných bolo 39 kolekcií. Víťazom sa stal Ladislav Jakubec. Druhý sa umiestnil Václav Štafl, sen., tretí skončil Marián Stieranka.

Year 2007

In 2007, SZCH ZO in Spišská Nová Ves organized a livebearer exhibition in Hrabušice on June 16-17, 2007. The 1st round of the European Championship Xipho-Molly was traditionally overseen by Ladislav Jakubec. International observers were Michael Lehmann and Marián Stieranka. The judges were Karel Krček, Matthias Trauzettel, Janusz Oziomek, Ivan Vyslúžil, and Milan Vetrák. A total of 123 collections were judged.

In the Poecilia latipinna category, Ivan Vyslúžil took 1st place, with Michael Lehmann securing both 2nd and 3rd places. For Poecilia sphenops, Ivan Vyslúžil again claimed 1st place, with Boguslaw Micinski in 3rd. Michael Lehmann won the Poecilia velifera category and also secured 2nd and 3rd places. In Xiphophorus helleri, the rankings were: 1. Ladislav Mazanec, 2. Zdeněk Machek, 3. Michael Lehmann. For Xiphophorus maculatus: 1. Matthias Trauzettel, 2. Günther Schramm, 3. Matthias Trauzettel. In Xiphophorus variatus: 1. Ján Budai, 2. Pindeš & Tokušev, 3. Walter Altenbeck.

The international competition for livebearer breeders in the Guppy pairs category resulted in Ladislav Jakubec securing the first place, with Václav Štafl, sen., in second, and Marián Stieranka in third. The exhibition director was Laco Jakubec, and international observers were Anatol Žydaczewski and Miroslav Konôpka. The judging panel consisted of Roman Slaboch, Alfred Górny, Martin Fodor, Dušan Habada, and Marián Stieranka. A total of 39 collections were classified.

Hrabušice – Medzinárodná výstava živorodiek – rok 2006

V rámci svojich aktivít sa mi naskytla možnosť osobne sa zúčastniť na jedinej medzinárodnej súťažnej výstave akváriových rýb konanej na Slovensku v roku 2006. Keďže sám som bol adept posudzovateľ, bolo pre mňa príjemnou povinnosťou vyskúšať si na tejto výstave hodnotenie súťažiacich rýb. Pritom posudzovanie som mohol robiť v kruhu skúsených posudzovateľov, ľudí, ktorých veľmi dobre poznám.

Výstava sa pre mňa začala 3.8.2006, kedy som sa spolu so svojimi priateľmi vybral autom do Slovenského raja. Totiž Hrabušice je obec, ktorá je neďaleko od Spišského Štvrtka a do „raja“ je to odtiaľ doslova na skok. Večer vo štvrtok 3. augusta sme úspešne docestovali a hneď ako sme prišli, ujali sa nás dobrí . Bývali sme 10 minút od výstavného priestoru – Urbárskeho domu v Hrabušiciach. Postretali sme sa z rôznych kútov sveta, s Poľska napr. Janusz Oziomek, z Ostravy Arnošt Perger, z Plzne Vladimír Protiva, z Martina Boris Burger, z Banskej Bystrice Marián Stieranka, Miro Konôpka. Navečerali sme sa, zaniesli sme na súťaž do súťažných akvárií, vedúci výstavy si ich prevzal. Po návrate späť sme podebatovali. Ráno sme odišli ku rybám, odposudzovali. Na fotografiách je vidieť, čo to predstavuje. Pochválim, že som na tejto výstave figuroval ako medzinárodný pozorovateľ, čo ma milo prekvapilo. Zopár oficiálnych údajov: vedúcim celej výstavy bol Ladislav Jakubec, Kategóriu , páry posudzovali Boguslaw Micinski, Richard Tokušev, Martin Fodor, Ivan Vyslúžil a Boris Burger. Vyhral Milan Vetrák pred Januszom Oziomekom a Ivanom Krouským. Kategóriu Xipho-Molly: posudzovatelia Arnošt Perger, Kazimierz Mendrek, Janusz Oziomek, Vladimír Protiva, Milan Vetrák. Víťazom štandardov Xiphophorus helleri, X. maculatus, X. variatus, Poecilia sphenops sa stal Boguslaw Micinski, Poecilia velifera Leszek Skalik a P. latipinna Pindeš + Tokušev. Večer po dobre vykonanej práci sme sa dobre zabávali, pravda poniektorí ešte stále poctivo pracovali, veď bolo treba porátať body, vyhodnotiť, vyhotoviť zápis, nachystať diplomy, poháre apod. My z Bratislavy sme sa museli v sobotu ráno 5.8 porúčať. Každopádne a verím, že môžem povedať aj za Pavola Sedláka a Ivana Vyslúžila, s ktorými som cestoval, že v nás ostal veľmi dobrý pocit.

Hrabušice – International Livebearer Exhibition – Year 2006

As part of my activities, I had the opportunity to personally participate in the only international competitive aquarium fish exhibition held in Slovakia in 2006. Since I was an aspiring judge myself, it was a pleasant obligation for me to try my hand at evaluating the competition fish at this exhibition. I could do the judging in the company of experienced judges, people I knew very well.

The exhibition started for me on August 3, 2006, when I, along with my friends, drove to Slovenský raj (Slovak Paradise). Hrabušice is a village near Spišský Štvrtok, and it’s literally a stone’s throw away from „paradise.“ We successfully arrived in the evening on Thursday, August 3, and as soon as we arrived, we were taken care of by good people. We stayed 10 minutes away from the exhibition venue – Urbársky dom in Hrabušice. We met people from various corners of the world, including Janusz Oziomek from Poland, Arnošt Perger from Ostrava, Vladimír Protiva from Plzeň, Boris Burger from Martin, Marián Stieranka from , and Miro Konôpka. We had dinner, brought our fish to the competition tanks; the exhibition director took charge of them. After returning, we had discussions.

In the morning, we went to the fish, judged them. The photos show what it was like. I must praise that I was listed as an international observer at this exhibition, which pleasantly surprised me. Some official details: Ladislav Jakubec was the exhibition director, and for the Poecilia reticulata category, pairs were judged by Boguslaw Micinski, Richard Tokušev, Martin Fodor, Ivan Vyslúžil, and Boris Burger. Milan Vetrák won first place, followed by Janusz Oziomek and Ivan Krouský. For the Xipho-Molly category, judges were Arnošt Perger, Kazimierz Mendrek, Janusz Oziomek, Vladimír Protiva, and Milan Vetrák. Boguslaw Micinski won the Xiphophorus helleri, X. maculatus, X. variatus, Poecilia sphenops standards; Poecilia velifera was won by Leszek Skalik, and P. latipinna by Pindeš + Tokušev. Some were still diligently working, as there was counting to be done, evaluations to be made, minutes to be prepared, diplomas, cups, and so on. We from had to bid farewell on Saturday morning, August 5. Anyway, and I believe I can say for Pavol Sedlák and Ivan Vyslúžil, with whom I traveled, that we left with a very good feeling.
