Každoročne sa v Piešťanoch otvára kúpeľná sezóna v prvý júnový víkend. Organizátori vždy pripravia spoločenský a kultúrny program.

Otvorenie letnej kúpeľnej sezóny v Piešťanoch je podujatie, ktoré symbolizuje začiatok letnej turistickej sezóny v Piešťanoch. Táto slávnosť je považovaná za najvýznamnejšiu udalosť roka v regióne. Tradícia otvárania letnej kúpeľnej sezóny v Piešťanoch siaha až do začiatku 19. storočia, keď sa miestne kúpele začali tešiť medzinárodnej popularite. Oficiálne oslavy, ako ich poznáme dnes, sa však začali organizovať od roku 1992. Cieľom je nielen privítať návštevníkov, ale aj vzdať vďaku za liečivé , ktoré mestu priniesli slávu a prosperitu. Hlavný program podujatia prebieha v sobotu a zahŕňa rôzne kultúrne a spoločenské aktivity. Neodmysliteľnou súčasťou je slávnostné požehnanie prameňov na Kúpeľnom ostrove, po ktorom nasleduje sprievod mestom (Pic Piešťany). Okrem hlavného programu sú pre návštevníkov pripravené aj rôzne sprievodné podujatia, ako sú , s remeselnými výrobkami, gastronomické a športové aktivity. Pre sú organizované špeciálne programy, vrátane hier, tvorivých dielní a divadelných predstavení (piestany.sk). Podujatie každoročne priláka tisíce návštevníkov z domova i zo zahraničia, podujatie posilňuje komunitného ducha a poskytuje platformu pre prezentáciu miestnej kultúry, tradícií a talentov (ttkraj.sk).

Rok 2012 – Súčasťou podujatia boli aj preteky dračích lodí medzi mostami. Starým a Kolonádnym mostom.

Rok 2009 – V roku 2009 sa v prvý júnový víkend konali voľby do európskeho parlamentu, preto sa tentokrát Otvorenie konalo týždeň predtým ako obvykle.

An integral part is the ceremonial blessing of the springs on the Spa Island, followed by a procession through the town (Pic Piešťany). In addition to the main program, various accompanying events are prepared for visitors, such as exhibitions, craft markets, gastronomic festivals, and sports activities. Special programs are organized for children, including games, creative workshops, and theater performances (piestany.sk).

The event attracts thousands of visitors from home and abroad every year. It strengthens the community spirit and provides a platform for showcasing local culture, traditions, and talents (ttkraj.sk).

Year 2012 – Part of the event was also dragon boat races between the bridges – the Old Bridge and the Colonnade Bridge.

Year 2009 – In 2009, the European Parliament elections were held on the first weekend of June, so the opening was held a week earlier than usual.

Jedes Jahr wird die Badesaison in Piešťany am ersten Juniwochenende eröffnet. Die Organisatoren bereiten immer ein gesellschaftliches und kulturelles Programm vor.

Die Eröffnung der Sommer-Badesaison in Piešťany ist eine Veranstaltung, die den Beginn der sommerlichen Tourismussaison in Piešťany symbolisiert. Diese Feier gilt als das bedeutendste Ereignis des Jahres in der Region. Die Tradition der Eröffnung der Sommer-Badesaison in Piešťany reicht bis ins frühe 19. Jahrhundert zurück, als das örtliche Bad internationale Popularität erlangte. Offizielle Feierlichkeiten, wie wir sie heute kennen, werden jedoch erst seit 1992 organisiert. Neben dem Hauptprogramm gibt es für die Besucher zahlreiche Begleitveranstaltungen wie Ausstellungen, Handwerksmärkte, gastronomische Festivals und Sportaktivitäten. Für Kinder werden spezielle Programme organisiert, darunter Spiele, kreative Workshops und Theateraufführungen (piestany.sk).

Die Veranstaltung zieht jedes Jahr Tausende von Besuchern aus dem In- und Ausland an. Sie stärkt den Gemeinschaftsgeist und bietet eine Plattform zur Präsentation der lokalen Kultur, Traditionen und Talente (ttkraj.sk).

Jahr 2012 – Ein Teil der Veranstaltung waren auch Drachenbootrennen zwischen den Brücken – der Alten Brücke und der Kolonnadenbrücke.

Jahr 2009 – Im Jahr 2009 fanden am ersten Juniwochenende die Wahlen zum Europäischen Parlament statt, daher wurde die Eröffnung eine Woche früher als üblich abgehalten.

ČSOB Marathon v Bratislave

ČSOB Maratón v Bratislave je už tradične poriadané podujatie, sponzorom ktorého je Československá obchodná banka. Je to udalosť na ktorej sa zúčastňujú aj profesionálni športovci, aj rekreační bežci. Ponúka behy v rôznych kategóriách, okrem iného aj pre rôzne vekové . Udalosť priťahuje mnoho fanúšikov aj vzhľadom na to, že je to mestský maratón, ktorý sa koná vo verejnom priestore v rámci mesta. ČSOB maratón je oslavou atletiky a športu.

V roku 2011 sa ČSOB Marathon konal 25.- 27.3.2011. Súčasťou hlavného programu boli behy v rôznych vekových kategóriách. Muži a ženy bežali polmaratón a maratón. Aj v tomto roku sa zúčastnilo behu množstvo atlétov. Vrcholových, rekreačných aj občasných. Asi skoro každý takýto aktívny účastník mal radosť s pohybu. Pri pohľade na niektorých skôr narodených a hendikepovaných bežcov som si vždy siahol do svedomia – patrí im môj obdiv.

Witnessing older and differently-abled runners always prompted a sense of admiration, acknowledging their remarkable achievements.

Tortová vojna

V roku 2011 sa ČSOB Marathon konal 25.- 27.3.2011 v Bratislave. Súčasťou sprievodného programu bola aj Tortová vojna. Moderátor, aj okolostojaci diváci mali trochu problémy, aby neschytali aj oni. Decká si navliekli pršiplášte a rôzne ochrany tela a pomerne živelne sa začali ohadzovať ešte pred povelom moderátora. Ako to dopadlo, môžete vidieť na fotografiách. Tortičiek na tento účel bolo vyčlenených dosť.

In 2011, the ČSOB Marathon took place from the 25th to the 27th of March in . As part of the accompanying program, there was also a Cake War. The host and nearby spectators had a bit of trouble avoiding getting hit. Children put on raincoats and various body protections, and they energetically started throwing cakes even before the moderator’s command. You can see the outcome in the photographs. There were quite a few cakes allocated for this purpose.

Sheraton Beh čašníkov

25.3.2011 sa konal v súvislosti s ČSOB Marathonom beh čašníkov. V Bratislave, pred Euroveou. Bolo to výrazne viac o zábave ako o športe a bolo to na môj vkus trochu bez šťavy. Predovšetkým účastníkov bolo málo a ich prístup bol zväčša čisto amatérsky. Výzvy moderátora do okolitých reštaurácií na účasť a verbovanie medzi divákmi tesne pred štartom podujatia boli pre mňa silná káva. Prístup „oficiálnych“ fotografov, ktorí sa cpali, aby nafotili asi nejaké unikátne sú tiež mimo môjho vkusu, navyše ich bolo ako hadov. Navyše viacnásobné pokrikovanie Slava Jurka ako moderátora na súťažiaceho, že mu padajú gate mi prišlo úbohé. Ktovie, pre niekoho je to asi veľká prča.

Pre účastníkov bola pripravená prekážková trať, s tým, že sa súťažilo v pároch. Pripravil sa miešaný nápoj a s ním bolo treba prejsť prekážky a potom nájsť niekoho ďalšieho, aby pripravený nápoj vypil. Vypitie bol trochu chuťový problém, pretože veľká snaha a tlak zapríčinil, že nápoje boli trochu príkre :-). Každopádne niečo som nafotil a som s tým celkom spokojný.

On the 25th of March 2011, a waiter race took place in connection with the ČSOB Marathon. It happened in , in front of Eurovea. It was much more about entertainment than sports, and, for my taste, it lacked a bit of excitement. Above all, there were few participants, and their approach was mostly purely amateurish. The challenges from the event’s host to nearby restaurants for participation and recruiting among the audience just before the start of the event were a bit too much for me. The approach of the „official“ photographers, who were pushing to take some unique photos, was also not to my liking, especially since there were so many of them. Furthermore, the repeated shouting of Slava Jurka, the host, at the contestants about their falling pants seemed poor to me. Perhaps, for some, it’s a big laugh.

A challenging obstacle course was prepared for the participants, with the competition taking place in pairs. A mixed drink was prepared, and the task was to navigate the obstacles with the drink and then find someone else to drink the prepared beverage. Drinking posed a bit of a taste problem because the great effort and pressure made the drinks a bit intense :-). Nevertheless, I took some photos, and I’m quite satisfied with them.
