Tropikárium sa nachádza južne od zábavného centra Campona. Nachádza sa tu okrem iného 1.4 milióna litrov veľké žraločie akvárium s 11 metrov dlhým vyhliadkovým tunelom (sdetmi.com). Je najväčším morským akváriom v strednej Európe (zoznam.sk). Inou atrakciou je prales, v ktorom sa blýska, hrmí, návštevníci tu zažijú tropickú klímu. Okrem toho množstvo živočíchov a rastlín z Afriky, Južnej Ameriky, Ázie, Karibského a Červeného mora, ale aj Indického oceánu (sdetmi.com). Nachádzajú sa tu aj expozície domácej maďarskej ichtyofauny (zoznam.sk). Celý komplex je vybudovaný na rozlohe 3 000 m2. Tropikárium je unikátna kombinácia a zoologickej expozície (tropicarium.hu). Vzniklo na základe nápadu maďarskej pôsobiacej v Švédsku (tropicarium.hu). Konkrétne Károlya Farkasdiho (refresher.sk). Intenzívna výstavba trvala asi 8 mesiacov a objekt bol otvorený 26. mája 2000 (tropicarium.hu). Konajú sa tu kŕmenia žralokov, aligátorov, hadov atď., a dokonca ponúkajú aj špeciálne „potápačské“ zážitky s certifikovaným potápačom v tuneli akvária (dailynewshungary.com). O organizmy sa stará tím 25 – 30 biológov, veterinárov, ošetrovateľov (visit-hungary.com). Sklenené steny tunela sú vyrobené z hrubého nerozbitného skla (cca 16 cm), takže návštevníci majú pocit, že sú uprostred podmorského sveta (cestovnakancelariadaka.sk).

The Tropicarium is located south of the Campona entertainment center. Among other attractions, it features a shark aquarium with a volume of 1.4 million liters and an 11-meter-long viewing tunnel (sdetmi.com). It is the largest marine aquarium in Central Europe (zoznam.sk). Another attraction is a rainforest exhibit with lightning and thunder effects, where visitors can experience a tropical climate. In addition, there are numerous animals and plants from Africa, South America, Asia, the Caribbean and Red Sea, as well as the Indian Ocean (sdetmi.com). The Tropicarium also includes exhibitions of native Hungarian ichthyofauna (zoznam.sk). The entire complex covers an area of 3,000 m². The Tropicarium represents a unique combination of an aquarium and a zoological exhibition (tropicarium.hu). It was established based on the idea of a Hungarian family working in Sweden (tropicarium.hu), specifically Károly Farkasdi (refresher.sk). Intensive construction lasted approximately eight months, and the facility was opened on May 26, 2000 (tropicarium.hu). Shark, alligator, and snake feeding sessions are held here, and the Tropicarium even offers special “diving” experiences with a certified diver inside the aquarium tunnel (dailynewshungary.com). The organisms are cared for by a team of 25–30 biologists, veterinarians, and animal keepers (visit-hungary.com). The glass walls of the tunnel are made of thick, unbreakable glass (approximately 16 cm), giving visitors the feeling of being in the middle of an underwater world (cestovnakancelariadaka.sk).

A Tropikárium a Campona szórakoztatóközponttól délre található. Többek között egy 1,4 millió literes cápás akváriumnak ad otthont, amelyhez egy 11 méter hosszú látogatóalagút tartozik (sdetmi.com). Ez Közép-Európa legnagyobb tengeri akváriuma (zoznam.sk).

Egy másik látványosság az esőerdő-kiállítás, ahol villámlás és mennydörgés kíséretében a látogatók valódi trópusi klímát élhetnek át. Emellett számos állat- és növényfaj található itt Afrikából, Dél-Amerikából, Ázsiából, a Karib-térségből és a Vörös-tengerből, valamint az Indiai-óceánból (sdetmi.com). A Tropikáriumban a magyarországi őshonos halfaunát bemutató kiállítások is helyet kaptak (zoznam.sk). Az egész komplexum 3 000 m² területen épült fel. A Tropikárium az akvárium és az állatkerti bemutató egyedülálló kombinációja (tropicarium.hu). Létrejötte egy Svédországban élő magyar család ötletéhez kötődik (tropicarium.hu), konkrétan Farkasdi Károly nevéhez (refresher.sk). Az intenzív építkezés körülbelül nyolc hónapig tartott, és az objektumot 2000. május 26-án nyitották meg (tropicarium.hu). Itt cápák, aligátorok és kígyók etetését is meg lehet tekinteni, sőt speciális „búvár” élményeket is kínálnak, ahol minősített búvár vezetésével lehet merülni az akvárium alagútjában (dailynewshungary.com). Az élőlények gondozásáról 25–30 biológusból, állatorvosból és gondozóból álló csapat gondoskodik (visit-hungary.com). Az alagút üvegfalai vastag, törhetetlen üvegből készültek (kb. 16 cm), így a látogatók úgy érezhetik, mintha a víz alatti világ közepén lennének (cestovnakancelariadaka.sk).

INTERZOO Nürnberg 2008

Dlhý som odolával lákavému poznaniu, pozrieť sa na chovateľský veľtrh do Norimbergu – INTERZOO. Koná sa len každé dva roky. V roku 2008 som sa tam napokon dostal. Obával som sa časového stresu, keďže sme šli len na otočku – na jediný deň. Moje obavy sa však pomerne rýchlo rozplynuli. Priznám sa, že neholdujem príliš kadejakým technickým vymoženostiam. Páčia sa mi prešpekulované akvaristické výrobky, ale neženiem sa za nimi. V Norimbergu som videl veľmi veľa pekných oblekov na telách manažérov, vážne výrazy Číňanov, Indov, Pakistancov, Nemcov, Čechov, Japoncov, Talianov, Rusov a ktoviekoho ešte. Smrdelo to tam biznisom a to mne nebolo práve celkom po chuti. Áno, veľtrh je určený pre firemného klienta, mne to však beztak pripadalo priveľmi vážne. Prekvapilo ma, že výstavná plocha nebola ani zďaleka tak veľká, ako som čakal. Aj keď plocha veľká bola. Očakával som však minimálne trikrát väčšiu plochu, na ktorej by boli vystavovatelia. Keď si predstavím, že by som tam mal byť dva dni, tak by som sa tam nudil. A viem, že moji známi tam chodievajú aj na tri dni :-).

Dnu som spolu s mojimi kamarátmi vošli hneď po otvorení. Po jednej hodine popoludní som mal za sebou provizórny obed aj prehliadku celej výstavnej plochy. Potom som si dal ešte jedno kolo. V Norimbergu som videl veľmi veľa pekných morských akvárií, veľmi veľa svietiacich trubíc nad 10 000 K do zeleno žiariacich sladkovodných nádrží. Mrzelo nás všetkých, že zväčša sme sa stretli s neochotou predať tovar priamo na mieste. Neboli sme posledný deň veľtrhu. Chápem, že sme boli na veľtrhu, ale napr. postrkať do akvárií v košíčkoch s cenovkami a potom nič nepredať je pre mňa nepríjemné poznanie. Páčila sa mi veľmi časť, ktorú zabezpečil Heiko Bleher, ktorý tam aj bol. Poskytol tam pekné pohľady na kvázi biotopové , kde napodobňoval rôzne časti sveta, ktoré iste sám pochodil. Pamätám si Čínu, Amazon. Tieto akvária vynikali prirodzenou krásou a boli aj poučné. Ako chovateľa gupiek ma potešilo, že som tam videl vo viacerých prípadoch celkom pekné gupky. Neboli to výstavné kusy, ale iste by som si z nich rád kúpil. Som presvedčený o tom, že predstavujú dobre predajný tovar. Čakal som v Norimbergu lepší výber krmív, viac možnosti nakúpiť a väčšiu plochu. Ak sa mi niekedy v budúcnosti podarí zájsť do Norimbergu, tak určite pôjdem v nedeľu. Po čase som nadobudol dojem, že Interzoo mi nestojí zato, aby som tam cestoval len kvôli nemu. Myslím si, že v posledný deň veľtrhu sa predajachtivosť vystavovateľov radikálne zvýši.

INTERZOO Nuremberg 2008

For a long time, I resisted the tempting adventure of visiting the breeder’s fair in Nuremberg – INTERZOO. It only happens every two years. Finally, in 2008, I made it there. I was worried about time pressure since we were only going for a quick visit – just for one day. However, my concerns quickly faded away. I must confess, I’m not particularly fond of various technical innovations. I appreciate well-designed aquarium products, but I don’t chase after them. In Nuremberg, I saw many beautifully dressed managers, serious-looking faces of Chinese, Indians, Pakistanis, Germans, Czechs, Japanese, Italians, Russians, and who knows who else. It smelled of business there, and that didn’t quite suit me. Yes, the fair is aimed at corporate clients, but it all felt too serious for me. I was surprised that the exhibition area wasn’t nearly as large as I expected. Even though it was still quite big. However, I was expecting at least three times the size of the exhibitor area. If I imagine being there for two days, I would have been bored. And I know my friends usually go for three days :-).

We entered right after the opening with my friends. After one afternoon hour, I had a quick lunch and toured the entire exhibition area. Then I did another round. In Nuremberg, I saw many beautiful marine aquariums, many fluorescent tubes above 10,000 K shining over green-glowing freshwater tanks. We were all disappointed that we mostly encountered reluctance to sell goods directly on the spot. It wasn’t the last day of the fair. I understand it was a trade fair, but, for example, to push plant baskets with price tags into aquariums and then not sell anything is unpleasant for me. I really liked the part provided by Heiko Bleher, who was also there. He provided beautiful views of quasi-biotope aquariums, mimicking various parts of the world, which he surely explored himself. I remember China, the Amazon. These aquariums stood out with natural beauty and were also informative. As a guppy breeder, I was pleased to see quite nice guppies there several times. They weren’t showpieces, but I would certainly like to buy some of them. I am convinced that they represent good selling items. I expected a better selection of food, more shopping opportunities, and a larger area in Nuremberg. If I ever manage to visit Nuremberg in the future, I will definitely go on Sunday. After a while, I got the impression that INTERZOO wasn’t worth traveling just for it. I think that on the last day of the fair, the exhibitors‘ willingness to sell increases radically.

INTERZOO Nürnberg 2008

Ich habe lange Zeit dem verlockenden Abenteuer widerstanden, die Züchtermesse in Nürnberg – INTERZOO – zu besuchen. Sie findet nur alle zwei Jahre statt. Endlich, im Jahr 2008, habe ich es dorthin geschafft. Ich machte mir Sorgen wegen des Zeitdrucks, da wir nur für einen kurzen Besuch – nur für einen Tag – dort waren. Aber meine Bedenken verflogen schnell. Ich muss gestehen, ich bin nicht besonders begeistert von verschiedenen technischen Innovationen. Ich schätze gut gestaltete Aquariumprodukte, aber ich jage ihnen nicht hinterher. In Nürnberg sah ich viele schön gekleidete Manager, ernste Gesichter von Chinesen, Indern, Pakistanern, Deutschen, Tschechen, Japanern, Italienern, Russen und wer weiß noch wem. Es roch dort nach Geschäft, und das passte mir nicht ganz. Ja, die Messe richtet sich an Firmenkunden, aber das alles war mir zu ernst. Ich war überrascht, dass die Ausstellungsfläche nicht annähernd so groß war, wie ich erwartet hatte. Obwohl es immer noch ziemlich groß war. Ich hatte jedoch mindestens eine dreimal so große Ausstellerfläche erwartet. Wenn ich mir vorstelle, dass ich dort zwei Tage lang gewesen wäre, hätte ich mich gelangweilt. Und ich weiß, dass meine Freunde normalerweise für drei Tage gehen :-).

Wir sind gleich nach der Eröffnung mit meinen Freunden hineingegangen. Nach einer Nachmittagsstunde hatte ich ein schnelles Mittagessen und habe die gesamte Ausstellungsfläche besichtigt. Dann habe ich noch eine Runde gedreht. In Nürnberg sah ich viele schöne Meerwasseraquarien, viele fluoreszierende Röhren über 10.000 K über grün leuchtenden Süßwassertanks. Wir waren alle enttäuscht, dass wir hauptsächlich auf Unwilligkeit stießen, Waren direkt vor Ort zu verkaufen. Es war nicht der letzte Tag der Messe. Ich verstehe, dass es eine Fachmesse war, aber zum Beispiel Pflanzenkörbe mit Preisschildern in Aquarien zu schieben und dann nichts zu verkaufen, ist für mich unangenehm. Mir hat der von Heiko Bleher bereitgestellte Teil sehr gut gefallen, der auch dort war. Er bot schöne Ausblicke auf quasi-Biotop-Aquarien, die verschiedene Teile der Welt nachahmten, die er sicher selbst erkundet hatte. Ich erinnere mich an China, den Amazonas. Diese Aquarien zeichneten sich durch natürliche Schönheit aus und waren auch informativ. Als Guppy-Züchter habe ich mich sehr gefreut, dass ich dort mehrmals recht schöne Guppys gesehen habe. Es waren keine Schmuckstücke, aber ich würde sicherlich gerne einige von ihnen kaufen. Ich bin überzeugt, dass sie gute Verkaufsartikel repräsentieren. Ich habe in Nürnberg eine bessere Auswahl an Futter, mehr Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und eine größere Fläche erwartet. Wenn ich es irgendwann schaffe, Nürnberg in Zukunft zu besuchen, werde ich auf jeden Fall am Sonntag gehen. Nach einer Weile hatte ich den Eindruck, dass INTERZOO nicht wert war, nur dafür zu reisen. Ich denke, dass sich am letzten Tag der Messe die Verkaufsbereitschaft der Aussteller radikal erhöht.

Morské predstavujú pre stredoeurópana náročné prostredie. Akváriá môžu obsahovať koraly, , morské hady, ježovky. Morské akváriá vyžadujú špeciálnu morskú vodu, ktorá obsahuje správne množstvo minerálov a solí. Koralové útesy vytvárajú kľúčovú súčasť morských akvárií. Morské tvory potrebujú správne množstvo svetla pre fotosyntézu a vývoj. Morské akváriá vyžadujú efektívny systém filtračných zariadení. Udržiavanie stabilnej teploty a chémie je nevyhnutné. Výber správnych druhov morských rýb a koralov je dôležitý pre udržanie rovnováhy. Je dôležitejší ako v prípade sladkovodného akvária. Pravidelne treba sledovať parametre vody. V tomto príspevku prezentujem pekné morské akvária, ktoré som mal možnosť vidieť.

Marine aquariums represent a challenging environment for Central Europeans. Aquariums can house corals, fish, sea snakes, and sea urchins. Marine aquariums require special seawater containing the correct amount of minerals and salts. Coral reefs form a crucial part of marine aquariums. Marine creatures need the right amount of light for photosynthesis and development. Marine aquariums necessitate an effective system of filtration devices. Maintaining a stable temperature and water chemistry is essential. Selecting the right species of marine fish and corals is crucial for maintaining balance. It is more critical than in the case of a freshwater aquarium. Regular monitoring of water parameters is necessary. In this post, I present beautiful marine aquariums that I had the opportunity to see.

Meeresaquarien stellen für Mitteleuropäer eine anspruchsvolle Umgebung dar. Aquarien können Korallen, Fische, Meeresschlangen und Seeigel enthalten. Meeresaquarien erfordern spezielles Meerwasser, das die richtige Menge an Mineralien und Salzen enthält. Korallenriffe bilden einen entscheidenden Bestandteil von Meeresaquarien. Meereslebewesen benötigen die richtige Menge Licht für die Photosynthese und Entwicklung. Meeresaquarien erfordern ein effektives System von Filtervorrichtungen. Die Aufrechterhaltung einer stabilen Temperatur und Wasserchemie ist unerlässlich. Die Auswahl der richtigen Arten von Meerfischen und Korallen ist entscheidend für das Gleichgewicht. Dies ist wichtiger als im Fall eines Süßwasseraquariums. Die regelmäßige Überwachung der Wasserparameter ist notwendig. In diesem Beitrag präsentiere ich schöne Meeresaquarien, die ich sehen durfte.

EXOTIC Show 2008

ME Guppy páry, súťaž bojovníc 2008

16.-20.5.2008 sa v Banskej Bystrici, na Dolnej ulici 25, konalo 2. kolo ME Guppy-páry a medzinárodná súťaž bojovníc Betta splendens, som sa aktívne sám zúčastnil, pretože som posudzoval gupky spolu s Januszom Oziomekom (PTAT), Boguslavom Micinskym (KPR), Vladimírom Protivom (IRIS) a Jaroslavom Balejom (ČKG). Ja som zastupoval náš (KAS). Vedúci výstavy bol Marián Stieranka, medzinárodným pozorovateľom bol Ivan Vyslúžil. Klasifikovalo sa 148 kolekcií zo štyroch českých klubov: AKV, ČKG, ČSCH a IRIS, z jedného talianskeho: AIG, z troch poľských: KPR, MOL a PTAT, dvoch slovenských: KAS a SZCH. 8 kolekcií bolo od neorganizovaných chovateľov.

Medzinárodná výstava bojovníc

Vedúcim výstavy bol Marián Stieranka. Posudzoval Vladimír Hulman (CZ, ČSCH), Alfred Górny (PL/PTAT) a Ján Budai (SK/SZCH). Klasifikovalo sa 99 kolekcií z jedného českého klubu: ČSCH, z jedného poľského: PTAT a dvoch slovenských: KAS a SZCH. Dve kolekcie boli od neorganizovaného chovateľa. K súťaži bojovníc mám jednu negatívnu poznámku – použité čierne pozadie v súťaži bojovníc bolo nešťastným riešením – boli slabšie vidieť. Súčasťou celej akcie EXOTIK Show bol aj predaj rýb, vodných rastlín, akvaristického a iného chovateľského tovaru, kvetov. Výstavu dotvárali pekne osadené okrasné a , ktoré pochádzali z našej na Akvaristickej jari 2008. Medzi okrasnými nádržami bolo jedno morské akvárium.

EXOTIC Show 2008

From May 16 to May 20, 2008, the 2nd round of the Guppy Pairs European Championship and the international competition of Betta splendens took place in , at Dolná Street 25. I actively participated in the exhibition because I judged guppies along with Janusz Oziomek (PTAT), Boguslaw Micinsky (KPR), Vladimír Protiva (IRIS), and Jaroslav Balej (ČKG). I represented our club, akva.sk (KAS). The exhibition was led by Marián Stieranka, with international observer Ivan Vyslúžil. A total of 148 collections were classified from four Czech clubs: AKV, ČKG, ČSCH, and IRIS, from one Italian club: AIG, from three Polish clubs: KPR, MOL, and PTAT, from two Slovak clubs: KAS and SZCH. Additionally, eight collections were from unaffiliated breeders.

International Betta Splendens Show

The exhibition was led by Marián Stieranka. Judging was done by Vladimír Hulman (CZ, ČSCH), Alfred Górny (PL/PTAT), and Ján Budai (SK/SZCH). A total of 99 collections were classified from one Czech club: ČSCH, from one Polish club: PTAT, and from two Slovak clubs: KAS and SZCH. Two collections were from unaffiliated breeders. One negative note about the Betta splendens competition was the unfortunate use of black background, making it difficult to see the fish clearly. The EXOTIC Show also included the sale of fish, aquatic plants, aquaristic and other breeding supplies, flowers, and decorative aquariums and photographs, including entries from our competition during the Aquaristic Spring 2008. Among the decorative tanks, there was also one marine aquarium.

ME Guppy 2005

7. kolo ME chovateľov gupiek zorganizoval Klub živorodých rýb v Banskej Bystrici v dňoch 16. – 21.10.2005 na Dolnej 25 v Banskej Bystrici. Súťaže sa zúčastnil aj Klaus Prohl, Milan Sládek, František Brunclík, Ivan Vyslúžil, Milan Vetrák, Branislav Barčin, Kazimierz Mendrek ako posudzovatelia, vystavovatelia či pozorovatelia.

Richard Tokušev ponúkal akvaristické produkty, medzi iným aj chovateľov. Výsledky slávnostne vyhlásil Marián Stieranka ako riaditeľ výstavy. Richard Tokušev neobišiel naprázdno – 2. miesto v kategórií krátkoplutvé. Max Kahrer sám posudzoval, vystavoval aj vyhrával a preberal ceny neprítomných kolegov. Trofejí sa nazbieralo, neinšpiruje vás to, páni akvaristi? Gerhard Ostrzil, Vladimír Jakubec, Boguslav Micinski boli tiež prítomní. Max Kahrer sa nám napokon všetkým prihovoril, a poďakoval sa klubu v Banskej Bystrici, ktorý výstavu zorganizoval.

ME Guppy 2005

The 7th round of the Guppy Breeders European Championship was organized by the Livebearer Fish Club in Banská Bystrica from October 16 to October 21, 2005, at Dolná 25 in Banská Bystrica. Participants and attendees included Klaus Prohl, Milan Sládek, František Brunclík, Ivan Vyslúžil, Milan Vetrák, Branislav Barčin, and Kazimierz Mendrek, who served as judges, exhibitors, or observers.

Richard Tokušev offered aquarium products, including plants from breeders. The results were ceremoniously announced by Marián Stieranka, the exhibition director. Richard Tokušev didn’t leave empty-handed, securing the 2nd place in the short-finned category. Max Kahrer judged, exhibited, won, and accepted awards on behalf of absent colleagues. Many trophies were collected—doesn’t that inspire you, gentlemen aquarists? Gerhard Ostrzil, Vladimír Jakubec, and Boguslav Micinski were also present. Max Kahrer finally addressed all of us, expressing gratitude to the club in Banská Bystrica that organized the exhibition.
