Thanks to this, in Piešťany, balneotherapy, hydrotherapy, and rehabilitation are successfully developed. It treats a variety of post-traumatic conditions, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, etc.

Im November 1938 erfuhr Ľudovít Winter, dass Graf Viliam Erdödy ein Anhänger Hitlers ist und die Bäder an ein bestimmtes deutsches Konsortium verkaufen möchte. Die Thermalquellen liegen im Považský Inovec-Fehlerbereich in einer Tiefe von 2.000 Metern. Das Wasser sammelt sich in den burgidalských (miozänen) Sedimenten des Donaubeckens. Die Quellen sind schwefelhaltig-hydrogencarbonat-, calcium-magnesium- und schwefelhaltig. Ihre Temperatur beträgt 67-69 °C, mit einem Gehalt von etwa 1,5 g/l Mineralstoffen und einem Gasgehalt, insbesondere Schwefelwasserstoff. Die Kapazität der gefangenen Brunnen beträgt mehr als 3 Millionen Liter Wasser pro Tag (Cambel, B, 1962). Die langfristige Reaktion von Thermalwasser mit weichen Gesteinen und spezifischer bakterieller Mikroflora bildet Schlamm, dem die Bäder ihren guten Ruf verdanken (interspa.sk). Schlamm leitet Wärme gut, kühlt viermal langsamer als Wasser und hat eine hohe Viskosität (danubiushotels.sk). Die meisten Quellen, die auf der Kurinsel entspringen, werden in Tiefen von 50-60 Metern gefangen, wodurch die Möglichkeit einer Kontamination mit Oberflächenwasser ausgeschlossen ist, was eine konstante Temperatur gewährleistet (slovenske.info). Dank dessen entwickelt sich in Piešťany die Balneotherapie, Hydrotherapie und Rehabilitation erfolgreich. Es behandelt eine Vielzahl von posttraumatischen Zuständen, Krankheiten des Bewegungsapparates usw.

Pávy ku kúpeľom v Piešťanoch. Po vyše 30 ročnej prestávke nadviazali piešťanské kúpele na tradíciu chovu pávov na Kúpeľnom ostrove, s ktorou začali už . Podľa povesti práve páv odhalil liečebné účinky termálnych vôd a bahna (Jana Beňačková, Kornel Duffek, Ladisla Ďuračka, Dušan Knap, Stanislav Kratochvíl, 2007: Pávy opäť na Kúpeľnom ostrove, Nr. 1, p. 12 – 13). Edo Kľubica Sekera v mesačníku Saluberrimae Pistinienses Thermae, No. 2-3 v roku 1948 zverejnil povesť, v ktorej si prechladnutý páv všimol, že jeho pobyt v bahne pri rieke, mu prospieva. Najprv boli za jazierkami, dnes sú na pomerne veľkej ploche, hneď za valom, za Kolonádnym mostom po ľavej strane. Inak povedané – pred kúpaliskom EVA a neďaleko od jazierok. Okrem páva korunkatého Pavo cristatus sa tu nachádzajú aj iné : – Chrysolophus pictus, bažant strieborný – Gennaeus nycthemerus, – , hrdlička chichotavá – (Informačná tabuľa) Thermia Palace – je dnes päťhviezdičkový hotel, mimochodom bol prvým, ktorý splnil takéto kritéria. Je to nádherná budova za Kolonádnym mostom, o ktorého postavenie sa v roku 1912 zaslúžil Ľudovít Winter (Urbánek T., 2008, Piešťanský týždeň, Nr. 38, p. 4). Vo februári 1917 tu rokovali o vedení vojny traja cisári, Wilhelm II Hohenzollern, rakúsky cisár Karol I. a I. Koburg. (Wikipédia). Odporúčam si ju pozrieť z oboch strán.

Dnes tu je aj zrkadlisko, bahnisko, trakčný bazén, rehabilitačná časť, vaňové , suchý uhličitý kúpeľ, sauna, suchá trakcia. Prebieha tu vodoliečba, magnetoterapia, fitnes a mnohé iné (Jana Beňačková, , 2007: Komfort a luxus v Kúpeľnom dome Irma, Revue Piešťany, No. 2, p. 5 – 6). – je dnes balneoterapeutické a ubytovacie zariadenie. Postavená bola v roku 1916 (Urbánek T., 2008, Piešťanský týždeň, Nr. 38, p. 4). Ako malý som v nej kedysi bol rehabilitovaný aj ja. pred Irmou bola pomenovaná pri príležitosti prezidentov krajín V4-ky 12.-13. septembra 2008.

Heute gibt es auch einen Spiegelraum, ein Schlammbecken, ein Traktionsbecken, einen Rehabilitationsbereich, eine Wannenabteilung, ein trockenes Kohlensäurebad, eine Sauna, eine trockene Traktion, Hydrotherapie, Magnetotherapie, Fitness und vieles mehr (Jana Beňačková, Tomáš Hudcovič, 2007: Komfort und Luxus im Irma Spa House, Revue Piešťany, Nr. 2, S. 5-6). Pro Patria ist heute eine balneotherapeutische und Unterkunftseinrichtung, erbaut im Jahr 1916 (Urbánek T., 2008, Piešťanský týždeň, Nr. 38, S. 4). Ich wurde als Kind dort rehabilitiert. Der Brunnen der Präsidenten vor Irma wurde anlässlich des Treffens der Präsidenten der V4-Länder am 12.-13. September 2008 benannt.
