Na akvaristickej autobusovej výprave, ktorú spáchali banskobystričania sme sa cestou z Krakova, Žermanickej priehrady a Třánovic zastavili v jednom akvaristickom obchode v Třinci. Bol to pekný obchod.
On the aquarium bus trip organized by the residents of Banská Bystrica, we made a stop at an aquarium shop in Třinec on our way from Krakow, through the Žermanice Reservoir, and Třánovice. It was a lovely store.

Svojho času som občas zašiel, najmä s Ivanom Vyslúžilom na burzu do Nitry, ktoré sa konali v menších priestoroch v centre mesta. Mali výrazne charakter teraristický a chovateľský, takže niekedy sme tam jediní ponúkali ryby a vodné rastliny. Organizoval ich Július Karabinoš.
Zároveň s nimi sa v neskoršom období rozbehli akcie oveľa väčšieho rozmeru, ktoré sa zrejme konajú dodnes v priestoroch známeho výstaviska v Nitre. Tam sa však ponúka aj záhradkársky a poľnohospodársky tovar. Ja sám som tam bol iba zopár krát. Zaujímavé na tom bolo, že sa konali už od 5 ráno a v zime, keď bolo vonku -15 °C, tak sme museli vodu zohrievať rýchlovarnou kanvicou. Priestory totiž boli nevykurované a teplota klesala pod bod mrazu.
I used to occasionally go, especially with Ivan Vyslúžil, to the market in Nitra, which was held in smaller venues in the city center. These markets had a distinct terrarium and breeding character, so sometimes we were the only ones offering fish and aquatic plants. They were organized by Július Karabinoš.
At the same time, much larger events started to take place, which presumably still occur today at the well-known exhibition grounds in Nitra. However, these events also offer garden and agricultural goods. I have only been to these larger events a few times. What was interesting about them was that they started as early as 5 AM, and in winter, when it was -15 °C outside, we had to heat the water with an electric kettle. The premises were unheated, and the temperature would drop below freezing.
V Banskej Bystrici na adrese Majerská cesta 98 sídlila Akvaristika firmy Akvaprodukt. Je to akvaristika, ktorá bola na Dolnej. Je založená od roku 2002 a je zameraná iba na Akvaristiku. Objem nádrží predstavuje cca 5 000 litrov, v ktorých sa nachádza sa minimálne 70 druhov tropických a jazierkových rýb. Akvaristika má aj svoj internetový predaj. Akvaristika takisto zriaďuje akváriá, vždy je k dispozícii dobrá ponuka živorodiek, afrických cichlíd jazier Malawi a Tanganika. Samozrejmosťou sú akváriové aj jazierkové rastliny, krevety, krmivá, technika, liečivá, krmivá. Richard sám je posudzovateľ rýb. Akvaristika na Dolnej poskytuje širokú paletu tovaru a ja vám ju odporúčam navštíviť.
Či obchod aj v roku 2024 funguje, neviem.
In Banská Bystrica, at Majerská cesta 98, there used to be an aquarium store called Akvaristika operated by the company Akvaprodukt. It was an aquarium store that was located in Dolná. Established in 2002, it focused exclusively on aquariums. The total volume of the tanks was approximately 5,000 liters, housing a minimum of 70 species of tropical and pond fish. The aquarium store also had an online shop. They set up aquariums and always had a good selection of livebearers, African cichlids from the Malawi and Tanganyika lakes. They offered a variety of aquarium and pond plants, shrimp, feeds, equipment, medications, and fish food. Richard himself is a fish judge. The aquarium store in Dolná provided a broad range of products, and I recommend paying it a visit.
Whether the store still operates in 2024, I do not know.
