V októb­ri 2005 som nav­ští­vil v Pra­he Mor­ský svet. Nachá­dza sa na Výsta­viš­ti. Zasta­vi­li sme sa tu tak troš­ku náho­dou. Boli tam pek­né veci, ale expo­zí­cia pôso­bi­la na mňa pomer­ne chlad­ne, tak nezaujato.


In Octo­ber 2005, I visi­ted the Sea World in Pra­gue, loca­ted at the Exhi­bi­ti­on Grounds. We stop­ped by some­what by chan­ce. The­re were nice things, but the exhi­bi­ti­on left me rat­her indif­fe­rent, not par­ti­cu­lar­ly impressed.

Fata Mor­ga­na je expo­zí­cia Bota­nic­kej záh­ra­dy hlav­né­ho mes­ta Pra­ha.

Bota­nic­ká záh­ra­da hlav­né­ho mes­ta Pra­ha bola zalo­že­ná v roku 1969. Je mies­tom pre pes­to­va­nie rast­lín, odpo­čin­ku, pou­če­nia, zába­vy a pote­še­nia. Ras­tie tu 15 000 dru­hov stro­mov a kve­tín (bota​nic​ka​.cz). K naj­výz­nam­nej­ším zbier­kam Bota­nic­kej záh­ra­dy pat­ria cibu­ľo­vi­ny, pre­dov­šet­kým zo Stre­do­mo­ria, Turec­ka a Číny. Význam­ná je zbier­ka stá­lo­ze­le­ných list­na­tých dre­vín. Oje­di­ne­lá je kolek­cia tama­ri­šiek a iných púšt­nych dre­vín Stred­nej Ázie a západ­nej Číny. Cen­né sú zbier­ky Nepent­ha­ce­ae, paliem a cyka­sov (Pavel Seker­ka).

Po roku 1984 bola zalo­že­ná zbier­ka bon­sa­jov. V roku 1997 vznik­la japon­ská záh­ra­da, vre­so­vis­ko, expo­zí­cia fló­ry Turec­ka a Stre­do­mo­ria a kolek­cia kosat­cov. Po roku 1996 sa zača­la pri­pra­vo­vať výstav­ba tro­pic­kých skle­ní­kov – Fata Mor­ga­na bola kolau­do­va­ná až v roku 2003. Od roku 2004 je zria­de­ná vini­ca. Expo­zí­cia výro­by vína bola vybu­do­va­ná v roku 2009. Od roku 2011 sa rozt­rieš­te­né plo­chy bota­nic­kej záh­ra­dy spo­ji­li v jeden 25 hek­tá­ro­vý celok. Súčas­ťou záh­ra­dy je tzv. Orna­men­tál­na záh­ra­da, Stráň – frag­men­ty pôvod­ných step­ných spo­lo­čens­tiev pre Tró­ju. Pivon­ko­va lúka a kolek­ci­ou mag­nó­lií. Stá­lo­ze­le­né dre­vi­ny a tie­ňo­mil­né trval­ky (haj­nič­ky) – rast­li­ny pod­ras­tu list­na­tých lesov Euró­py, Ázie a Ame­ri­ky. Seve­ro­ame­ric­ká polo­púšť – kak­tu­sy a suku­len­ty, trval­ky a ihlič­na­ny, pre­dov­šet­kým opun­cie a juky. Mok­raď a jaze­ro je časť, kde sa roz­mno­žu­jú žaby a ras­tú tu vod­né, bahen­né a mäsož­ra­vé rast­li­ny. Ďal­ší­mi expo­zí­cia­mi sú Les­né bio­to­py východ­nej Ázie a Les­né bio­to­py Sever­nej Ame­ri­ky (bota​nic​ka​.cz).


Fata Mor­ga­na is an exhi­bi­ti­on wit­hin the Bota­ni­cal Gar­den of the capi­tal city of Prague.

The Bota­ni­cal Gar­den of the capi­tal city of Pra­gue was estab­lis­hed in 1969. It ser­ves as a pla­ce for the cul­ti­va­ti­on of plants, rela­xa­ti­on, edu­ca­ti­on, enter­tain­ment, and enjo­y­ment. The­re are 15,000 spe­cies of tre­es and flo­wers gro­wing here (bota​nic​ka​.cz). Among the most sig­ni­fi­cant col­lec­ti­ons of the Bota­ni­cal Gar­den are bul­bous plants, espe­cial­ly from the Medi­ter­ra­ne­an, Tur­key, and Chi­na. The col­lec­ti­on of ever­gre­en deci­du­ous woody plants is notab­le. The­re is a uni­que col­lec­ti­on of tama­risks and other desert plants from Cen­tral Asia and wes­tern Chi­na. Valu­ab­le col­lec­ti­ons inc­lu­de Nepent­ha­ce­ae, palms, and cycads (Pavel Sekerka).

After 1984, a col­lec­ti­on of bon­sai tre­es was estab­lis­hed. In 1997, a Japa­ne­se gar­den, heat­hland, an exhi­bi­ti­on of the flo­ra of Tur­key and the Medi­ter­ra­ne­an, and a col­lec­ti­on of iri­ses were cre­a­ted. After 1996, the cons­truc­ti­on of tro­pi­cal gre­en­hou­ses began – Fata Mor­ga­na was not com­ple­ted until 2003. Sin­ce 2004, a vine­y­ard has been estab­lis­hed. The wine pro­duc­ti­on exhi­bi­ti­on was built in 2009. Sin­ce 2011, the scat­te­red are­as of the bota­ni­cal gar­den have been con­nec­ted into one 25-​hectare unit. Part of the gar­den is the so-​called Orna­men­tal Gar­den, Slo­pe – frag­ments of ori­gi­nal step­pe com­mu­ni­ties for Tro­ja, Peony Mea­dow, and a col­lec­ti­on of mag­no­lias. Ever­gre­en tre­es and shade-​loving peren­nials (wood­land plants) – under­gro­wth of deci­du­ous forests of Euro­pe, Asia, and Ame­ri­ca. North Ame­ri­can semi-​desert – cac­ti and suc­cu­lents, peren­nials, and coni­fers, espe­cial­ly opun­tias and yuc­cas. The marsh and lake are are­as whe­re frogs bre­ed, and water, marsh, and car­ni­vo­rous plants grow. Other exhi­bi­ti­ons inc­lu­de Forest Bio­to­pes of Eas­tern Asia and Forest Bio­to­pes of North Ame­ri­ca (bota​nic​ka​.cz).


Fata Mor­ga­na ist eine Auss­tel­lung im Bota­nis­chen Gar­ten der Haupts­tadt Prag.

Der Bota­nis­che Gar­ten der Haupts­tadt Prag wur­de 1969 geg­rün­det. Er dient als Ort für die Kul­ti­vie­rung von Pflan­zen, Erho­lung, Bil­dung, Unter­hal­tung und Fre­ude. Hier wach­sen 15.000 Arten von Bäu­men und Blu­men (bota​nic​ka​.cz). Zu den bede­utend­sten Samm­lun­gen des Bota­nis­chen Gar­tens gehören Zwie­belpf­lan­zen, ins­be­son­de­re aus dem Mit­tel­me­er­raum, der Tür­kei und Chi­na. Die Samm­lung immer­grüner Laub­holzpf­lan­zen ist bemer­ken­swert. Es gibt eine ein­zi­gar­ti­ge Samm­lung von Tama­ris­ken und ande­ren Wüs­tenpf­lan­zen aus Zen­tra­la­sien und West­chi­na. Wer­tvol­le Samm­lun­gen umfas­sen Nepent­ha­ce­ae, Pal­men und Zyka­den (Pavel Sekerka).

Nach 1984 wur­de eine Samm­lung von Bon­sai­bä­u­men ange­legt. 1997 ents­tan­den ein japa­nis­cher Gar­ten, Hei­def­lä­chen, eine Auss­tel­lung zur Flo­ra der Tür­kei und des Mit­tel­me­ers sowie eine Samm­lung von Sch­wert­li­lien. Nach 1996 begann der Bau tro­pis­cher Gewächs­hä­u­ser – Fata Mor­ga­na wur­de erst 2003 fer­tig­ges­tellt. Seit 2004 gibt es einen Wein­berg. Die Auss­tel­lung zur Wein­hers­tel­lung wur­de 2009 gebaut. Seit 2011 wur­den die vers­tre­uten Flä­chen des Bota­nis­chen Gar­tens zu einer 25 Hek­tar gro­ßen Ein­he­it ver­bun­den. Ein Teil des Gar­tens ist der soge­nann­te Orna­men­tal­gar­ten, der Hang – Frag­men­te von urs­prün­gli­chen Step­pen­ge­me­in­schaf­ten für Tro­ja, Pfing­st­wie­sen und eine Mag­no­lien­samm­lung. Immer­grüne Bäu­me und schat­ten­lie­ben­de Stau­den (Unter­wuchs von Laub­wäl­dern Euro­pas, Asiens und Ame­ri­kas). Nor­da­me­ri­ka­nis­che Halb­wüs­te – Kak­te­en und Suk­ku­len­ten, Stau­den und Nadel­bä­u­me, ins­be­son­de­re Fei­gen­kak­te­en und Yuc­cas. Das Sumpf­ge­biet und der See sind Bere­i­che, in denen Frös­che brüten und Was­serpf­lan­zen, Moorpf­lan­zen und fle­ischf­res­sen­de Pflan­zen wach­sen. Wei­te­re Auss­tel­lun­gen umfas­sen Wald­le­bens­rä­u­me Osta­siens und Wald­le­bens­rä­u­me Nor­da­me­ri­kas (bota​nic​ka​.cz).
