Považský Inovec – jadrové pohorie na západnom Slovensku

Hits: 9867

Patrí do Fatransko-tatranskej oblasti. Od zástupcov hmyzu (fuzáče, roháče, rôzne motýle) cez obojživelníky (salamandra škvrnitá, skokany), plazy (slepúch, jašterice, vretenica), vtáky (z dravcov ojedinele orol kráľovský a sokol rároh, myšiaky, jastraby, zo spevavcov napr. sýkorky, žltochvosty, ďatle) (Wikipedia).

Považský Inovec is a volcanic mountain range in western Slovakia, belonging to the Fatra-Tatra region. Stretching for 48 km with a variable width of 15 to 25 km, it covers an area of 600 km². The highest point of this diverse terrain is the peak Inovec at an elevation of 1,042 meters above sea level. The region has a complex geological structure and is rich in mineral water springs. The mountain range exhibits a variety of flora, with both thermophilic (heat-loving) and mountainous plant species thriving in the area. Human settlement in this region dates back to the Stone Age. Particularly in the northern part, there is a relatively high occurrence of mineral water springs, known locally as kyselky.” Among the most important springs are the thermal waters emerging through tectonic faults in Piešťany, in the area of Kúpeľný ostrov. These thermal waters are a rare type of healing water reaching temperatures of up to 60°C.

The area is abundant in wildlife, hosting various insects (beetles, stag beetles, different butterflies), amphibians (spotted salamander, frogs), reptiles (slowworms, lizards, vipers), birds (birds of prey such as the golden eagle and peregrine falcon, owls, hawks, and passerines like tits, wagtails, woodpeckers), among others. The name Inovec” is related to the fact that the summit of the highest mountain often glows similarly to an innovation. Among the notable landmarks are the Great Moravian court in Kostolec above the village of Ducové, the church of St. George near Nitrianska Blatnica, and the castles of Beckov, Topoľčany, Tematín, and Hlohovec. The cave Čertova pec under Havran has revealed the oldest cave settlement in Slovakia. Other interesting locations include Zoofarma Modrová and the Marhát peak.

Jazerá a vodné nádrže

Hits: 2531

Nad hladinami jazier a vodných nádrží sa vznáša pokoj a krása prírody. Jazerá a vodné nádrže zohrávajú dôležitú úlohu v prírode. Absorbujú zrážky, regulujú odtok vody a udržiavajú rovnováhu vodných zásob.

Above the surfaces of lakes and reservoirs, tranquility and the beauty of nature prevail. Lakes and water reservoirs play a crucial role in the environment. They provide a home for numerous plants and animals and serve as a vital source of drinking water for both humans and animals. People utilize these waters for recreational activities such as swimming, fishing, and water sports. They also hold significance in shaping the landscape and are integral to the water cycle. By absorbing precipitation, regulating water flow, and maintaining the balance of water resources, lakes and reservoirs contribute substantially to the overall harmony of nature.

Zima – obdobie vegetačného pokoja a snehovej periny

Hits: 4497

Winter is a season that brings with it its unique charm. It is a time when nature slows down its hectic rhythm and enters a state of vegetative rest. This is crucial for the Earth, for nature itself. Winter is a period when animals and some plants retreat to shelters, seeking an opportunity for rest and rejuvenation. During this time, certain plant species enter a state of vegetative rest, temporarily quieting their growth and development. It’s as if nature is holding its own breath, ready for the renewal of life in the next cycle.

Winter can be challenging for animals and plants, making environmental protection crucial. Sometimes, snow descends from the sky, breaking the light into thousands of diamonds that dance on the ground. The winter season also brings a plethora of joys and activities for people. Cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, sledding, and building snowmen are just some of the activities that characterize winter. Winter is not just a season of cold weather; it is a time of beauty, tranquility, and a unique perspective on the world around us. It teaches us about the importance of rest and renewal, not only for nature but also for ourselves. In the hushed landscapes covered by snow, we can find a certain magic that transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Cesty

Hits: 2606

Vo svete fotografií ciest každý záber znamená novú príležitosť objavovať a vnímať svet okolo nás.

Lesná cesta pozýva do neznáma, inšpiruje k otváraniu nových kapitol. Fotografie ciest vedúcich cez horské masívy prinášajú nádheru strmých stúpaní a zábery panoramatických výhľadov. Kľukaté serpentíny sú často oblečené do vrstiev hmly. Fotografie ciest sa tiež zaoberajú zmenami krajiny v rôznych ročných obdobiach. Pestré farby jari, hlboké odtiene leta, jesenné lístie a zimné pokrývky snehu – každá sezóna pridáva svoj jedinečný podpis k okolitej krajine. Nezabúdame ani na mestské cesty. Rušné ulice, osvetlené reklamnými tabuľami a zaplnené ruchom ľudí, môžu byť zobrazené v kontraste s pokojnými prírodnými cestami.

The enchanting world of photography captures the essence of roads, whether they begin at the edge of a forest or vanish in the distance between mountain peaks. These paths have the remarkable ability to arouse curiosity and the desire to explore the unknown. Road photography goes beyond a mere record of geographical contours; it is a way to encapsulate adventure and discovery. These visual narratives offer a unique perspective on the world, telling stories of adventures, seasonal changes, and the revelation of the unknown.

A forest path beckons us into the unknown, inspiring the opening of new chapters. Photographs of roads traversing mountain ranges showcase the beauty of steep ascents and panoramic views. The winding serpentine roads, often cloaked in layers of mist, add an air of mystery. Road photography also delves into the transformations of the landscape through different seasons. The vibrant colors of spring, deep hues of summer, autumnal foliage, and winter’s snowy blankets each contribute a unique signature to the surrounding scenery.

Urban roads are not forgotten in the narrative. Busy streets illuminated by advertising billboards and bustling with people can be juxtaposed with tranquil natural paths. Road photography doesn’t merely replicate reality; it explores combinations of colorful light trails with motion blur or unusual diagonal perspectives, resulting in captivating and inspiring images.

Photographs capturing the adventures of the road often freeze moments that become a part of the past. Fading beyond the horizon, these images create a sense of infinity and open up space for dreams of the undiscovered. In the world of road photography, each frame represents a new opportunity to explore and perceive the world around us.

Staré domy

Hits: 2129

Staré domy často vyžadujú údržbu a renováciu.

Old houses stand as living witnesses to the past, carrying with them rich histories and character that sets their architecture apart from modern structures. These historic dwellings have unique stories that reflect the era in which they were built and, in many cases, the people who lived within their walls. The diversity in their design, construction, and style makes old houses fascinating places to explore. One significant aspect of old houses is their architecture. Ancient homes can be constructed from various materials such as bricks, stones, or wood. Their structures often reflect the building techniques of the time and traditional local craftsmanship. Every detail, from window frames to entrance doors, can tell a tale about the era in which they were erected. In addition to their architecture, old houses often bear historical markers. These can be memorial plaques, distinctive details, or other elements that refer to bygone periods. These homes can also be part of heritage and cultural legacy, representing crucial pieces of local history.

Another intriguing aspect of old houses lies in their interiors. Ceiling heights, ornamental details, vaults, and fireplaces can create a unique atmosphere that differs from modern living spaces. Many old houses boast original wooden floors, windows, and doors, adding authenticity and charm. However, it’s essential to note that old houses often require maintenance and renovation. Their aged constructions may be susceptible to wear and tear. On the flip side, this care contributes to preserving historical and cultural heritage for future generations.

Old houses have their place in the present as well. Many people choose to live in old houses, seeking a unique and authentic lifestyle. They appreciate the character, style, and history that some modern structures might not offer.

In conclusion, old houses are more than just dwellings; they are places that carry our past histories and stories. Their preservation and restoration are crucial for maintaining our cultural heritage and connecting with preceding generations.
