je výstava a podujatie pre fotografov a nadšencov , profesioná aj amatérov. jednom mieste sa stretávajú fototechniky, odborníci a fotografie. Podujatie ponúka výstavu fotoaparátov, objektívov a príslušenstva, a so známymi fotografmi, a otvorený fotoateliér, praktické ukážky techník a fotografovania, možnosť vyskúšať si techniku (citylife.sk).

prebehla 21.-22.10.2011 v rovnakých priestoroch ako predtým. Veľmi som sa tešil na toto podujatie a úspešne som ho absolvoval. sa mi páčili, zdalo sa mi, ž ich obsadenie bolo trochu viac regionálne. Aj tovar, ktorý bol ponúkaný sa mi zdal skromnejší. Každopádne teším sa opäť na ďalší ročník. Opäť bol prítomný Vrabko, užil som si Aleša Fremuta, Karola Srnca a Petra Praženku, Zuzany Minarovičovej.

sa uskutočnila v Dome v Bratislave 22.-23.10.2010. Program bol bohatý, od stánkov s fototematikou, cez prednášky a prezentácie. Ja sám som navštívil viacero. Pamätám si veľmi dobre a rád si spomeniem na Martina Vrabka, ktorý nám hovoril o možnostiach svietenia a fotografovania modeliek. Poučná bola pre mňa aj prednáška o autorských právach v s fotografiami. Niektoré prednášky boli venované skôr pre remeselnú s fotografovaním, iné boli skôr cestovateľské, poznávacie. V strede, hlavnej bol na modeliek, ktoré sa menili. Úť bola veľmi , DK Ružinov boli miestami pre takéto podujatie malé.

The event offers an exhibition of cameras, lenses, and accessories, lectures and discussions with well-known photographers, workshops and an open photo studio, practical demonstrations of techniques and photography, and the opportunity to try out equipment (citylife.sk).

Foto Slovakia 2011 took place on October 21–22, 2011, in the same venue as before. I was very much looking forward to this event and attended successfully. I enjoyed the presentations; it seemed to me that their lineup was somewhat more regionally oriented. The range of products on offer also appeared more modest. In any case, I am already looking forward to the next edition. was present again; I enjoyed , Strobist , , and ‚s presentation about Nepal.

Foto Slovakia 2010 was held at the Ružinov House of Culture in on October 22–23, 2010. The program was rich, ranging from photography-related booths to lectures and presentations, several of which I attended personally. I remember very well—and fondly—Martin Vrabko, who spoke about lighting options and photographing models. A lecture on copyright issues related to photography was also very instructive for me. Some lectures focused more on technical craftsmanship in photography, while others were more travel- and exploration-oriented. In the center of the main hall, there was a space for photographing models, who rotated regularly. Attendance was very high, and at times the premises of the Ružinov House of Culture were too small for an event of this scale.

Rok 2011 25.6.2011 sa konal ďalší ročník parkovej í, ktoré poriada FOPA na Tyršovom nábreží. Až na jednu krátkodobú silnú prehánku to bolo fajn. Počas nej mi síce zmokli, ale neroztopil som sa ani ja, ani ;-). Tentokrát bol program bohatší napr. o hudobné vystúpenie bubeníkov, o grafiti , ktoré sa tvorili priamo na mieste. V neposlednom rade sa postarali o bagety, ktoré boli naozaj výborné, napriek tomu, ž boli balené a o . Vystavujúcim a asi organizátorom padli určite vhod. Výborná bola aj široká diskusia nad vystavenými fotografiami na konci , aj keď je , že začala príliš neskoro na to, ako veľmi dlho trvala :-). Obdržané čestné uznanie za sépiové fotografie slovenskej potešilo.

In the year 2011, on June 25, another edition of the park photography exhibition organized by took place on . Except for a short but intense rain shower, it was great. Although the rain soaked my photographs, neither I nor the pictures melted ;-). This time, the program was enriched with features such as a musical by drummers and artworks created directly on-site. Last but not least, the organizers took care of baguettes, which were truly delicious, despite being packaged, and some beer. This surely pleased both exhibitors and, likely, the organizers themselves. The wide-ranging discussion about the exhibited photographs at the end of the event was excellent, even though it started a bit too late considering how long it lasted :-). Receiving an honorable mention for sepia-toned photographs of the Slovak landscape was a delightful recognition.

Rok 2010 19. júna 2010 sa konal v Bratislave Fotopark. Zúčastnil som sa ho a vybral som naň fotografie v sépiovej forme z Talianskych miest. Konkrétne z Benátok, Verony a Padovy. A k tomu som pridal fotky muzikantské, ktoré som nafotil v Banskej Štiavnici. Šlo o českú rómsku kapelu . bola fajn. Ja sa nemal sa socializovať, takže som sa venoval hlavne svojim fotografiám. Spokojný som odchádzal o 18-ej. O Fotojatku som záujem nemal, vzhľadom na to, že som mal toho dosť a mojej chuti ostať nepridali. bolo premietanie a diskusia nad dielami majstrov fotografie. Určite to bolo zaujímavé a podnetné, ja som však mal iné zámery. Možno nabudúce. Fotografovať samotnú akciu sa mi veľmi nechcelo, preto som to trošku odflákol a pofotil som takmer iba vystavované fotografie, ktoré ma zaujali.

On June 19, 2010, Fotopark took place in . I participated in it and selected sepia-toned photographs of Italian cities, specifically , , and . Additionally, I included pictures of musicians taken in , featuring the Roma band Terne Čhave. The atmosphere was enjoyable. I didn’t feel like socializing, so I focused mainly on my photographs. I left home satisfied around 6 PM. I wasn’t interested in Fotojatko due to having had enough and the mosquitoes not encouraging me to stay. Fotojatko involved screenings and discussions about the works of photography masters. It was certainly interesting and inspiring, but I had different intentions. Maybe next time. I wasn’t particularly eager to photograph the event itself, so I took it easy and captured mostly the exhibited photographs that caught my interest.

Rok 2008 21.6.2008 na Tyršovom nábreží, v Bratislavskej Petržalke usporiadal Bratislavský fotoklub profesioná a amatérov – FOPA parkovú výstavu fotografií – FOTOPARK Šlo o druhý ročník. Zúčastnil som sa jej aj ja s desiatimi fotografiami. Bolo to veľmi zaujímavé stretnutie pre mňa, videl som tvorbu iných, počul rôzne a niekedy s úžasom sledoval aj fotografie, aj rôzne . Úžas bol aj pozitívny aj negatívny :-)). Videl som, že na FOTOPARK do Bratislavy prišli vystavovať aj pre mňa známi z . som nepovažoval za extra úžasné ;-), aj vzhľadom na to, že som si vybral fotky mestského až pohľadnicového typu. Potešilo ma, že deviatim mojim fotografiám sa ušlo po nejakom štipci. Každý dostal tri , pomocou ktorých mohol prejaviť svoj . Ja som svoje tri štipce dal trom výtvarne ladených fotografiám Igora Šperku. Veľmi sa mi páčia takéto fotografie.

In 2008, on June 21, the Bratislava Photoclub of Professionals and Amateurs – FOPA organized a park exhibition of photographs – FOTOPARK on Tyršovo nábrežie in Bratislava’s . It was the second edition. I participated with ten photographs. It was a very interesting encounter for me, as I got to see the work of others, heard various opinions, and sometimes watched photographs and reactions with amazement, both positive and negative :-)). I noticed that people I knew from also came to exhibit at FOTOPARK in Bratislava. I didn’t consider my photographs exceptionally amazing ;-), especially since I chose cityscape and postcard-type photos. It pleased me that my nine photographs received some recognition. Everyone was given three tokens to express their taste. I allocated my three tokens to three artistically styled photographs by . I really like such photographs.

2013 – tento rok nám navarili guľáš priamo v parku hostia

Park Photo 2013 – this year, guests cooked goulash for us right in the park.

– najpríjemnejšie stretnutie amatérskych fotografov na Slovensku

V tretiu septembrovú sobotu sa konal už 4. ročník fotografií v plenéri, ktorú organizuje v mestskom parku. Park Foto bolo minulý rok ocenené primátorom mesta – Kultúrny počin roku 2008, ako významná a už tradičná akcia, ktorá úspešne zviditeľňuje Piešťany. Vystavovalo 68 autorov, na ktorých bolo zvedavých približne 1500 návštevníkov, ktorí hodnotili fotografie pripnutím štipca. V kategórii do 18 rokov zvíťazili dve mladé dámy: a Simona Hanková z . Medzi dospelými bolo takéto poradie: 1. z Piešťan, 2. Daniel Bašo z Galanty, 3. Milan Maronek z Trnavy. Tento rok Piešťanský fotoklub zaviedol okrem tradičného hodnotenia jednotlivých fotografií štipcami aj porotou, ktorú tvorili členovia Asociácie profesionálnych fotografov SR. Peter Bagi ocenil Annu Kopponovú z Piešťan, Magdu Vrábelovu z Galanty, Máriusa Sordela z Nových Zámkov a Romana Bučka z Piešťan. Všetci traja spoločne ocenili za fotografiu „Kolotoč“ Noru Lukačovičovú z Piešťan. Park Foto sa dočkal úspešného pokračovania, všetko sa dialo v príjemnej atmosfére, prialo tentokrát aj počasie. Vyhodnotenie prebehlo v peknom a dôstojnom prostredí neďalekého Kursalonu, po ktorom nasledovalo posedenie. To, že do chrumkava upečené prasiatko na záver putovalo do úst vystavovateľov, bolo vynikajúcou bodkou za skvelou sobotou. 

V roku 2009 som sa na Park Foto pripravil oveľa lepšie ako rok predtým. Bolo to aj tým, že som vedel, čo ma čaká. Prišlo nás autorov dva krát toľko, čo je pozitívum. Park Foto bolo pre mňa krajšie aj preto, že už som tu mal známych iných autorov. Večná škoda, že v tom istom termíne prebiehal v Bratislave Fotomaratón. Pripravil som si dve série fotografií. Získal som dojem, že sa veľmi páčili vlastne všetkým. Séria rýb bola pre mnohých neprijateľná, iným sa páčila. Zrejme zavážilo, že na mnohých pôsobili asi studeno, predpokladám že aj predstava čohosi z vody mnohých odradila. Bol to môj pokus, ktorý nebudem zrejme opakovať. Zo svojimi fotografiami som však bol spokojný. Z vystavených fotografií sa mi veľmi páčil od Richarda Heska a vôbec najviac a suverénne, fotografie Rasťa Čambala. Je to trochu zvláštne, pretože do 19.9.2009 sa mi Rasťa Čambala skôr nepáčila. Našiel som si v nej len zopár fotografií, ktoré sa mi páčili. Treba samozrejme priznať, že som videl dovtedy možno 20 – 30 snímkov.

Jeden veľmi negatívny podnet ale mám. Kopec ľudí prechádzalo okolo fotografií ledabolo. Verím tomu, že veľa z nich bolo takých, ktorí si proste na to nevyhradili čas. Čo mi však udieralo do očí bolo, že málo ľudí si čítalo , a už vôbec neboli na tieto názvy adekvátne . Mrzí ma veľmi, že už skoro ani deti sa nevedia poriadne prejaviť. Zaregistroval som asi štyri adekvátne reakcie na prečítaný názov snímku. Samozrejme nestál som celý čas pri svojich fotkách. Medzi nimi bola aj negatívna reakcia. Teší ma určite viac negatívna reakcia ako žiadna reakcia. Narážam predovšetkým na názvy rýb, pretože je to predsa iná abstrakcia ako pri krajinkách – veď posúďte sami podľa fotiek dole. Veľa som o tom premýšľal. Všimol som si, že , ktorí prichádzali z kvetinového sprievodu – inej , sa prejavovali oveľa viac. Asi ich rozprúdil , možno , alegorické vozy, kvetiny, .

Park Photo 2009 – the most enjoyable meeting of amateur photographers in Slovakia.

On the third Saturday of September, the 4th edition of the open-air photo exhibition took place, organized by the Piešťany Photo Club in the municipal park. Park Photo was awarded the Cultural Act of the Year 2008 by the mayor of Piešťany, recognizing as a significant and traditional event that successfully highlights the . The exhibition featured 68 authors, attracting approximately 1500 visitors who evaluated the photos by attaching clothespins. In the under 18 category, two young ladies, Anna Kopponová and Simona Hanková from Piešťany, emerged victorious. Among adults, the rankings were as follows: 1. Roman Tibenský from Piešťany, 2. Daniel Bašo from Galanta, 3. Milan Maronek from . This year, the Piešťany Photo Club introduced, in addition to the traditional evaluation using clothespins, jury evaluation composed of members of the Association of Professional Photographers of the Slovak Republic. Peter Bagi awarded Anna Kopponová from Piešťany, Ivan Čaniga awarded Magda Vrábelová from Galanta, Martin Vrabko awarded from , and Anna Struhárová awarded Roman Buček from Piešťany. All three together awarded Nora Lukačovičová from Piešťany for the photograph „Merry-Go-Round.“ Park Photo saw a successful continuation, everything happened in a pleasant atmosphere, and the weather was favorable. The evaluation took place in the beautiful and dignified setting of the nearby Kursalon, followed by socializing. The fact that a crispy-roasted piglet was enjoyed by the exhibitors at the end was an excellent conclusion to a great Saturday.

In 2009, I prepared for Park Photo much better than the previous year. It was also because I knew what to expect. Twice as many authors came as positive. Park Photo was more beautiful for me also because I already knew other authors here. It’s a pity that the Photo Marathon took place in Bratislava at the same time. I prepared two series of photos. I got the impression that landscapes were liked by almost everyone. The series of fish was unacceptable for many but liked by others. Probably the fact that many found them somewhat cold, I assume that the idea of something from the water discouraged many. It was my attempt, which I probably won’t repeat. However, I was satisfied with my photos. Among the exhibited photos, I really liked Beckov by , and by far the most, the photos by . It’s a bit strange because until September 19, 2009, I didn’t really like Rasťo Čambal’s work. I found only a few photos that I liked. Of course, it must be admitted that I had probably seen only 20-30 pictures until then.

However, I have one very negative aspect. A lot of people walked past the photos carelessly. I believe that many of them simply didn’t take the time for it. What struck me, however, was that few people read the names of the photos, and the reactions to these names were not adequate at all. I’m very sorry that almost even children can’t express themselves properly. I registered about four adequate reactions to the read name of the shot. Of course, I wasn’t standing by my photos all the time. Among them was also a negative reaction. I am definitely more pleased with a negative reaction than no reaction at all. I am referring primarily to the names of the fish because it is a different abstraction than with landscapes – judge for yourself according to the photos below. I thought a lot about it. I noticed that visitors who came from the flower parade – another event, expressed themselves much more. Perhaps they were stirred up by dance, perhaps singing, allegorical floats, flowers, majorettes.

20.9.2008 sa v príjemnom prostredí pod pagaštanmi mestského parku uskutočnila už po tretí rok výstava Park Foto. Organizátor ho nazval Park Foto Piešťany 2008, festival  kreatívnej fotografie – výstava fotografií v plenéri. Počasie pravdepodobne „objednal“ a veľmi dobre zaplatil niekto tajomný, ale určite mocný, pretože pršalo asi všade na celom Slovensku, ale v parku v Piešťanoch nie. V tento chladný sobotný deň padli na mňa len tri kvapky. Objektívne treba uznať, že miestami trošku mrholilo, ale keďže sme nad sebou mali veľké konské a iné takmer v zápoji, tak naše aj my sme zostali suchí. Organizátor myslel aj na naše nižšie pudy, pripravil čaj aj . Miešanie bolo dovolené v akomkoľvek pomere :-). Rum bol len jeden, aj to len litrový ;-). Ak náhodou závidíte, tak nie je veľmi čo, pretože teplota vzduchu, vlhkosť a rýchlosť vetra priam nútili trochu rozšíriť . 20.9 bol aj dátumom slávnostného ukončenia kúpeľnej sezóny. Cez šiel sprievod, kvetinové korzo, načančané boli alegorické vozy. Zhruba okolo 15:30 okolo nás prešli uzimené mažoretky v krátky sukničkách, ktoré mali skôr utekať, ako len pomaly chodiť :-(.

Na výstave fotografií sa zúčastnilo 38 tvorcov. Napriek nepríjemnému počasiu si fotografie prezrelo možno 700-900 ľudí. Pre mňa samotného malo veľký význam, že som sa prezentoval (mimochodom po prvý krát) pred ľuďmi, ako aj pred fotografmi. Na ľudí moje fotky spravili podľa slov, ktoré som mal možnosť počuť, dojem. Vzhľadom na to, že na viacerých snímkach som mal Piešťany, tak veľa ľudí skúmalo, čo je to na fotografiách. Niektoré zábery som fotil na miestach, na ktoré sa bežne bez snahy nedostane, takže pôsobili trochu exoticky. Bolo pre mňa zvláštne zistiť, že ľuďom často chýba geometrická a . Iný je pohľad na územie z lietadla, na mape a iný je pohľad človeka a trošku iný je pohľad fotografa. Asi to bude znieť trochu čudne, ale návštevníkov prekvapovalo to, čo poznajú. bol pre nich nepoznaný, že nie pre všetkých.

Tešilo ma aj iné hodnotenie, ktoré sa párkrát opakovalo a síce že „boli ako živé„. Pre spresnenie – fotografie, ktoré som mal na tejto výstave nepovažujem za úžasné a motívy na nich už vôbec nepovažujem za nejaké umelecky veľmi hodnotné alebo originálne. Jednu jedinú fotku z nich považujem za fotkovatejšiu :-) a tej som napokon dal aj svoje štipce. Hodnotenie prebiehalo pomocou štipcov – orazených kolkov na bielizeň. Najprv hodnotili návštevníci podujatia, potom hodnotili samotní vystavujúci pomocou kolkov, ktoré sami inkasovali. Nebudem ďakovať za prejavenú priazeň, veď nejde o č za odmenu, ani o prácu naviac, ale poviem, že ma tá priazeň teší a budem sa aj naďalej snažiť fotiť lepšie a lepšie. Ďakujem ale organizátorom za možnosť sa prezentovať a stráviť príjemne a užitočne čas.

Po skončení výstavy nám (dufi) predstavil photobox.sk a fotografie zo súťaže, ktorú spáchal na začiatku júla práve . Fotografie boli až do 19.9 na Pribinovej 115 vďaka vtedajšiemu EVEREST FOTO, neskôr boli v Piešťanoch v Kursalone. Potom nasledovalo vyhlásenie víťazov v príjemnom prostredí plnom fotiek. Po vyhodnotení som sa ja viac spoznal s vystavujúcimi, najmä s členmi fotoklubu z Piešťan. Pripili sme si na Dušanove (vraj sme nemuseli – zrejme je ako repa ;-) ) a potom sme sa pustili do pečeného . Rozprávalo sa ešte dlho, ja sám som pobudol asi do 20:30, čiže snáď dve . Prebrali sme mierne aj organizátorské a ľudské problémy a keďže sa sám podieľam na akvaristickom „hnutí“ v podobnej polohe, tak sme skonštatovali, že je to rovnaké a sranda to určite nie je.

Počas toho, ako som celý deň bol vo výstavnom priestore, tak som postretal kopu známych a reč bola samozrejme aj o fotografiách. Predovšetkým na konci mi pomáhal kamarát Leo, ktorý sa neskôr ocitol aj na vyhodnotení. Videl atmosféru, ktorá tam vládla a sám sa vyjadril prekvapene. Nečakal, že tento sychravý deň napokon vypáli tak pekne.

Year 2008

On September 20, 2008, in the pleasant surroundings under the chestnuts of the municipal park, the third edition of the Park Photo exhibition took place. The event organizer named it Park Photo Piešťany 2008, a festival of creative photography – an open-air photo exhibition. Someone mysterious, but certainly powerful, probably „ordered“ the weather, and someone paid for it very well because it was raining almost everywhere in Slovakia, but not in the park in Piešťany. On this chilly Saturday, only three drops fell on me. Objectively, it must be acknowledged that it drizzled a bit in some places, but since we had large horse chestnut and other trees almost as an umbrella above us, our photos and we remained dry. The organizer also thought of our lower instincts, prepared tea and rum. Mixing was allowed in any ratio :-). There was only one liter of rum, though ;-). If you happen to envy, there’s not much to envy because the air temperature, humidity, and wind speed almost forced us to expand our veins a bit. September 20 also marked the ceremonial end of the bathing season. A procession, a floral parade, allegorical floats, passed through the city. Around 3:30 pm, frozen majorettes in short skirts passed by us, who seemed to be running rather than walking :-(.

38 creators participated in the photo exhibition. Despite the unpleasant weather, maybe 700-900 people viewed the photos. It was significant for me personally that I presented myself at home (by the way, for the first time) in front of people as well as photographers. According to the words I heard, my photos made an impression on people. Since I had Piešťany in several shots, many people examined what was in the photos. I took some shots in places that a person wouldn’t normally reach without effort, so they looked a bit exotic. It was strange for me to find out that people often lack geometric and spatial imagination. The view of the area from an airplane, on a map, is different from a person’s view, and a photographer’s view is a bit different. It might sound a bit strange, but visitors were surprised by what they knew. The angle of view was unknown to them, of course, not to everyone.

I was also pleased with another assessment that repeated a few times, namely that my photos „were like alive.“ To clarify, I do not consider the photos I had at this exhibition as amazing, and the motifs on them are not considered artistically very valuable or original at all. I consider one single photo from them as more photographable :-) and I finally gave my clothespins to it. The evaluation took place using clothespins – pegs attached to clotheslines. First, visitors to the event evaluated, then the exhibitors themselves evaluated using clothespins they collected. I won’t thank for the favor shown because it’s not about something for a reward or extra work, but I’ll say that I’m happy about the favor, and I’ll continue to try to take better and better photos. But I thank the organizers for the opportunity to present myself and spend time pleasantly and usefully.

After the exhibition, Dušan Beláň (dufi) introduced us to photobox.sk and the photos from the competition he had committed in early July on photobox.sk itself. The photos were on Pribinova 115 thanks to the then EVEREST FOTO until September 19, later in Piešťany at Kursalon. Then the announcement of the winners followed in a pleasant environment full of photos. After the evaluation, I got to know the exhibitors more, especially the members of the photo club from Piešťany. We toasted to Dušan’s health (apparently, we didn’t have to – presumably, he’s as fit as a fiddle ;-) ), and then we tackled the roasted piglet. We talked for a long time, I myself stayed until about 8:30 pm, so perhaps two hours. We also discussed organizational and human problems mildly, and since I myself am involved in the aquarium „movement“ in a similar position, we noted that it’s the same, and it’s certainly not fun.

During the whole day, as I was in the exhibition space, I met a lot of acquaintances, and the conversation was, of course, about photographs. Especially at the end, my friend Leo helped me, who later found himself at the evaluation as well. He saw the atmosphere that prevailed there and expressed himself surprised. He didn’t expect that this chilly day would turn out so nicely in the end.

7. Fotosession – 28.3.2010

V poslednú marcovú nedeľu sa uskutočnilo ďalšie, v poradí už siedme, pokračovanie akcie Piešťanského fotoklubu – Fotosession. Za celý deň som narátal okolo 50 účastníkov, ktorí sa zúčastnili tomto milom podujatí. Vypočuli si niekoľko prednášok, mali sme možnosť porozprávať sa medzi sebou. Ku spoločenskej stránke pozitívne prispel aj spoločný obed. Medzi účastníkmi boli aj členovia fotoklubov z iných miest. Nielen z , ale napr. z Galanty, z Trnavy, z Nových Zámkov a z Bratislavy. Príležitosť sme využili aj na vzájomne sa informovanie o pripravovaných podujatiach v roku 2010.

On the last Sunday in , another, already seventh, continuation of the event organized by the Piešťany Photoclub took place – Fotosession. Throughout the day, I counted around 50 participants who took part in this pleasant event. We listened to several lectures and had the opportunity to talk among ourselves. The communal aspect was positively contributed to by a shared lunch. Among the participants of the event were also members of photoclubs from other cities, not only from Piešťany but, for example, from , , Nové Zámky, and . We also took the opportunity to inform each other about upcoming events in 2010.

Na začiatku nám predstavil predovšetkým výhody farebného priestoru LaB. Ukázal nám možnosti jeho použitia predovšetkým v produkte Adobe Photoshop. Martin ukázal veľť priestoru LaB a jeho princíp založený na ľudskom vnímaní.

At the beginning, Martin Štepka introduced primarily the benefits of the LaB color space. He showed us the possibilities of its use, especially in the Adobe Photoshop product. Martin demonstrated the size of the LaB space and its principle based on human perception.

Nasledovala , ktorá nám hovorila o svojej ceste ku zvládnutej gumotlači. Ide o historickú tvorbu fotografií, čo je zaiste v dnešnej digitálnej dobe nezvyčajné. Katke Mocákovej, ako sme počuli, sa táto výtvarná tvorba páči a ja musím povedať, že mne tiež. Určite by som sa sám na gumotlač len tak nedal, ale jej výsledné produkty sa mi veľmi páčia :-). Spomenula aj to, že nevie o nikom na Slovensku, okrem nej a Rasťa Čambala, kto by sa niečomu podobnému venoval. V jej prednáške odznel termín „fotografika“, ktorým označuje svoje a podobné postupy umeleckej tvorby. Jej rozprávanie na mňa spravilo veľký dojem. Namáčanie papiera, tvorba negatívu, skenovanie a mnohé iné vo mne vzbudzovali rešpekt pred vynaloženou energiou, trpezlivosťou a zvládnutou technológiou :-).

Next was Katarína Mocáková, who talked to us about her journey into mastering gum bichromate printing. involves the historical technique of creating photographs, which is quite unusual in today’s digital age. As we heard, Katarína Mocáková enjoys this artistic form, and I must say that I do too. I certainly wouldn’t engage in gum bichromate printing myself, but I really like the end results of her work :-). She also mentioned that she doesn’t know of anyone in Slovakia, except for herself and Rasťo Čambala, who is dedicated to something similar. In her presentation, the term „photografika“ was mentioned, which she uses to label her and similar processes of artistic creation. Her storytelling made a great impression on me. Immersing paper, creating negatives, scanning, and many other aspects evoked a sense of respect for the energy, patience, and mastered technology involved :-).

Dušan ň nám rozprával o lokálnych úpravách v programe Adobe Lightroom. Bol prezentovaný ako nástroj pre fotografov, s tým že časom sa zrejme situácia vyvinie do takej miery, že Photoshop nebude musieť fotograf na drvivú väčšinu úprav, vôbec otvárať. Photoshop bude nástrojom pre grafikov a Lightroom pre fotografov.

Nasledoval obed v krásnych priestoroch Kursalonu. Tentokrát boli aj buchty, s ktorými bol neustále spájaný najmä Peter Ertl :-). Chutilo však všetko a hádam aj všetkým. Samozrejme, podstatné bolo vymeniť si skúsenosti, zážitky a pod.

Po obede v „svadobnej sále“ sme pokračovali prezentáciou projektu VOĽBY, v ktorej (inak praktizujúci anesteziológ) prezentoval fotografie viacerých autorov, na ktorých boli zachytené rôzne voľby. Videli sme fotografie počas samotného procesu vo volebnej miestnosti, ale predovšetkým snímky zhotovené počas volebných kampaní. Zaujala ma nesmierna nestrannosť s akou boli fotografie vytvorené. Napokon aj celá prezentácia bola v takom vyrovnanom duchu, kde názor na politiku, a tým samozrejme aj na smerovanie bol len jedným z mnohých. A už vôbec nebola cítiť žiadna voličská preferencia autorov, ani celého projektu. Podobne sa vyjadril aj v diskusii. Fotografie, ktoré sme videli, nie sú na 100 % tie, ktoré budú aj vo finálnom produkte projektu prezentované, ale zaujímavé bolo, že boli širšiemu auditóriu prezentované prvý krát. Ako povedal aj pán Ondzík, naše boli preňho určite prínosom.

After lunch in the „wedding hall,“ we continued with the presentation of the project VOĽBY, in which Jozef Ondzík (also a practicing anesthesiologist) presented photographs from various authors, capturing different choices. We saw photographs during the voting process itself in the polling station, but especially shots taken during election campaigns. I was impressed by the incredible impartiality with which the photos were created. Finally, the entire presentation was in such a balanced spirit, where opinions on politics, and thus, of course, on the direction of society, were just one of many. There was no sense of any voter preference from the authors or the entire project. Martin Ondko expressed a similar sentiment in the discussion. The photos we saw are not 100% the ones that will be presented in the final project, but it was interesting that they were presented to a wider audience for the first time. As Mr. Ondzík said, our reactions were certainly beneficial for him.

Ako posledný vystúpil Joe Klamar, alebo ak chcete . Viacnásobný víťaz a iných súťaží, fotografujúci pre francúzsku agentúru , rodák z Jasnej-Záhradiek. Joe nám ukázal kvantum fotografií, ktoré sa nám všetkým iste páčili. Hovoril síce viackrát, že sa na plátne z dataprojektoru občas pritrafia zlé snímky, ale evidentne sa mu nedarilo naplniť túto myšlienku. Viaceré jeho zábery som videl predtým aj na papieri vo veľkom formáte na výstavách v Bratislave. Najprv nám ukázal zo športových súťaží, predovšetkým z lyžovania a zo skokov na lyžiach. Potom sme videli aj zopár silných záberov napr. z Bosny. Trošku sme načreli do problematiky spôsobu, ako sa dostať na to správne miesto. Napríklad počas oficiálnej pápeža, ale aj trebárs, čo robiť v dave počas demonštrácie. Dozvedeli sme sa aj to, že spravodajstvo si vyžaduje produkovať fotografie aj vtedy, keď sa prakticky nič nedeje. Mnohokrát každý deň. Videli sme fotografie aj zo Slovenska, aj trošku fotografií z voľnej tvorby – kone na Muráni a pár autoportrétov. Na konci sa Joe vrátil ku športu, videli sme napr. zábery z Pekingskej , a futbal.

As the last speaker, Joe Klamar, or Jozef Klamár, took the stage. A multiple winner of Press Photo and other competitions, photographing for the French agency AFP, born in Jasna-Záhradky. Joe showed us a plethora of photographs that surely appealed to all of us. Although he mentioned several times that occasionally bad shots hit the screen from the data projector, he evidently failed to fulfill this idea. I had seen several of his shots before on paper in large format at exhibitions in Bratislava. First, he showed us photos from sports competitions, especially from skiing and ski jumping. Then we saw some powerful shots, for example, from Bosnia. We delved a bit into the issue of how to get to the right place. For example, during the official visit of the pope, or even what to do in a crowd during a demonstration. We also learned that journalism requires producing photos even when practically nothing is happening. Many times every day. We saw photos from Slovakia and a bit of free-form photography – horses in , and a few self-portraits. In the end, Joe returned to sports, showing shots from the Beijing Olympics, biathlon, and football.

Podľa Jožovho rozprávania bolo jasné, že často trpí nedostatkom času. Spravodajská fotografia mu neposkytuje veľa možností tvoriť – je to však dosť paradoxné, pretože fotografie Joe Klamaru nesú svoj rukopis a sú zasiahnuté nápadmi. Napriek tomu, že od odfotenia záberu pre agentúru, po jej odovzdanie, má niekedy polhodinu, niekedy , určite však nie deň, Joe dokáže tomu úspešne tvoriť. A stáva sa, že svoje fotky vidí až keď ich niekto opublikuje. Na druhej strane je rád za množstvo príležitostí, ktoré mu jeho práca poskytuje. Raz by Joe chcel mať viac času na . Celý pôsobil veľmi skromne, často z jeho úst vyšla veta v zmysle „to sa dá urobiť oveľa lepšie“. Zaujala ma veľmi jedna, pre mňa nečakaná myšlienka, ktorú Joe spomenul – „choďte si fotiť Africký pohár vo futbale – tí chlapci hrajú ešte pre radosť“. Po výdatnej dávke Joe Klamara siedme Fotosession úspešne skončilo. Teším sa na ďalšie pokračovanie tejto dobrej myšlienky.

According to Joe’s narrative, it was clear that he often suffers from a lack of time. Reportage photography doesn’t offer him many opportunities to create – it’s quite paradoxical, as Joe Klamar’s photos carry his signature and are infused with ideas. Despite having sometimes only half an hour, sometimes hours, but certainly not a day, from taking a shot for the agency to delivering it, Joe manages to create successfully. It happens that he sees his photos only when someone publishes them. On the other hand, he appreciates the many opportunities his work provides him. Joe would like to have more time for photography someday. Throughout the time, he appeared very modest, often saying things like „this can be done much better.“ One unexpected idea that caught my attention was when Joe mentioned, „Go shoot the African Cup in football – those guys still play for joy.“ After a generous dose of Joe Klamar, the seventh Fotosession ended successfully. I look forward to the next continuation of this good idea.

6. Fotosession – 25.10.2009

Téma: Zhotovovanie rôznorodých fotografických obrazov v meste Piešťany vo vymedzenom č všetkými zúčastnenými fotografmi, s cieľom zachytenia subjektívnych individuálnych pohľadov na a život v ňom. Ráno sme sa zišli v Kursalone, bohužiaľ kvôli pretrvávajúcim zrážkam v uplynulom týž, v menšom počte. Bolo nás do 15 maximálne odhadujem. Dlhý, skutočne veľmi dlhý čas predtým bolo pomerne hrozné počasie na pobyt vonku, ale v sobotu 25.10 bolo v Piešťanoch ako stvorené na fotenie. Mám pocit, že každý si fotografoval sám. Večer sme sa zišli a fotografie sme odovzdali vo formáte JPG. Narobené fotografie potom preberali na svojich každotýždenných stretnutiach v klube jeho členovia a vybrali cca 50 fotografií, ktoré potom viac ako boli vystavené v Kursalone. Pekná myšlienka, však?

Subjekt: Creating diverse photographic images in the town of Piešťany within a defined time frame by all participating photographers, with the aim of capturing subjective individual views of the town and life in it. In the morning, we gathered at Kursalon, unfortunately, due to persistent rainfall in the past week, in smaller numbers. I estimate there were a maximum of 15 of us. A long, truly very long time before that, the weather for being outside was quite terrible, but on Saturday, October 25, Piešťany seemed perfect for photography. I feel like everyone was capturing their own perspective.

In the evening, we met again, and the photographs were submitted in JPG format. The photos taken were then reviewed by the members of the club at their weekly meetings, and approximately 50 photographs were selected. These selected photos were exhibited in Kursalon for over a month. A nice idea, isn’t it?

5. Fotosession – 5.4.2009 – tentoraz som sa akcie nezúčastnil. / I did not participate in the event.

4. FotoSession v Piešťanoch

V priestoroch Kursalonu sa konalo 26.10.2008 už štvrté stretnutie fotoklubov a fotografov. Spáchal ho Piešťanský fotoklub ;-). Ja som sa, napriek tomu, že to mám „„, na toto podujatie vybral po prvý raz. Program ma lákal, samozrejme bol som zvedavý na realizáciu. Ráno sme začali po úvodnom privítaní prezentáciou firmy SONY. Predstavitelia SONY nám prezentovali a objektívy svojej značky. Odhadom priniesli 8-10 fotoaparátov a cca 15 objektívov, zopár bleskov. Nechýbala ani najnovšia α 900. Skúšali sme aj objektív s dvoma nastaviteľnými svetelnosťami 2.8 a 5.6. Techniku sme mohli vyskúšať, ohmatať, cca do 16 hodiny. Bolo to každopádne prínosné.

Potom nám , známy fotograf svetového mena, prezentoval svoje portrétne fotografie. Hovoril o možných riešeniach portrétovania v časovom strese, o komunikácii, o svetle, o voľnosti pri tvorbe fotografie apod. Videli sme množstvo fotografií z rôznych prostredí. Prezentácia sa predĺžila oproti plánu, aj otázok Ivan zodpovedal viacero. Po prezentácii, vo viacmenej voľnejšom čase, ukázal veľa fotografií na papieri, o ktoré bol dosť vysoký záujem. Je to zrejmé z fotografií nižšie.

Nasledovala moderovaná diskusia. Veľmi som bol zvedavý, čo z toho bude. Moderátorom bol a neskôr Martin Ondko. Veľa otázok ale nebolo treba hosťom klásť, ich asi prekvapili mnohých. Boli vlastne dlhé, ale svojim spôsobom aj tak krátke. Boli predovšetkým zmysluplné, plné emócii, skúsenosti, sebapoznania i druhých. Odpovedala Martina Danková, Peter Ertl, a Ivan Čaniga.

On October 26, 2008, the fourth meeting of photo clubs and photographers took place at the Kursalon premises, organized by the Piešťany Photo Club. Despite having it „at home,“ I chose to attend this event for the first time. The program was enticing, and I was curious about the execution. In the morning, we started with an introductory welcome, followed by a presentation from SONY. Representatives from SONY showcased their brand’s cameras and lenses, bringing around 8-10 cameras, approximately 15 lenses, and a few flashes. The latest α 900 was also part of the display. We had the opportunity to try and explore the equipment until around 4 p.m., which was undoubtedly beneficial.

Subsequently, Ivan Čaniga, a renowned photographer of international acclaim, presented his portrait photographs. He discussed possible solutions for portrait photography under time constraints, communication techniques, the role of light, creative freedom in photography, and more. We saw numerous photographs from various settings. The presentation extended beyond the planned time, and Ivan addressed several questions from the audience. After the presentation, during a somewhat more relaxed period, he also showed many printed photographs that garnered considerable interest, as evident from the photos below.

A moderated discussion followed, and I was quite curious about the outcome. Maroš Dubovský served as the moderator, later joined by Martin Ondko. However, there wasn’t a need for many questions from the audience; the answers from the guests likely surprised many. The responses were, in a way, lengthy but still short. They were meaningful, full of emotions, experiences, self-awareness, and insights into others. Martina Danková, Peter Ertl, Rasťo Čambal, and Ivan Čaniga participated in providing responses.

Po úžasnej diskusii sme nasýtili svoje žalúdky a nasledoval voľnejší program. Ja som ho využil na rozvíjanie medziľudských vzťahov. Poobede nám Edo Čupka odprezentoval fotografovanie jazzového festivalu International Jazz Piešťany, ktorý prebieha značnú časť roka v bare Art Gallery u Doda Šošoku. Ten je mimochodom neďaleko od Kursalonu na Winterovej ulici.

Niektorí cezpoľní sa s nami postupne lúčili, iní sa k nám večer pridali, pretože nás čakala vernisáž výstavy 2008. Do súťaže sa prihlásilo 32 účastníkov. Vernisáž bola spojená s vyhlásením výsledkov. Všetko prebehlo hladko, na vernisáž došlo podľa môjho odhadu 50-80 ľudí. Výstava potrvá v priestoroch Kursalónu do 30.11.2008. Primátor Piešťan podporil FotoSession nielen svojou osobnou účasťou, ale aj tým, že jednu cenu určil sám. V neposlednom rade sa podieľal na cene pre víťaza FotoKursalonu a okrem iného aj pre víťaza predtým sa konajúcej akcie ParkFoto. Piešťany sú nádherné miesto, kde si vždy našlo svoje miesto. Dúfam, že to tak zostane :-)

Večer, cca od 19:30 nám, aj verejnosti predviedli svoje umenie muzikanti v zložení: , Stanislav Počaji a Caroline Hitland. Erich je kráľom slovenského a je to uznávaný umelec. Caroline Hitland je nórska speváčka, ktorá pôsobí medzi Stanom a Erichom ako kvet medzi listami. Jej neskutočne sympatický prejav môžete posúdiť podľa fotografií dole. , že nemôžete počuť aj jej spev, stojí to za to! Samozrejme aj chlapci boli výborní.

After an amazing discussion, we satisfied our stomachs, and a more relaxed program followed. I used this time to foster interpersonal relationships. In the afternoon, Edo Čupka presented photography from the jazz festival, which takes place for a significant part of the year at the Art Jazz Gallery near Winterova Street, not far from Kursalon.

Some attendees gradually bid farewell to us, while others joined us in the evening as we awaited the opening of the PhotoKursalon 2008 exhibition. Thirty-two participants entered the competition. The exhibition opening was combined with the announcement of the results. Everything went smoothly, and about 50-80 people attended the vernissage, based on my estimate. The exhibition will run at Kursalon until November 30, 2008. The mayor of Piešťany supported FotoSession not only with his personal presence but also by personally designating one of the prizes. He also contributed to the prize for the winner of FotoKursalon and, among other things, the winner of the previously held ParkFoto event. Piešťany is a beautiful place where art has always found its home. I hope it stays that way.

In the evening, around 7:30 PM, musicians, including Erich Boboš Procházka, Stanislav Počaji, and Caroline Hitland, showcased their artistry to us and the public. Erich is the king of Slovak blues and a recognized artist. Caroline Hitland is a Norwegian singer who acts as a flower among the leaves between Stan and Erich. You can judge her incredibly likable demeanor based on the photos below. Unfortunately, you can’t hear her singing, but it’s worth it! Of course, the guys were excellent as well.
