Buda­tín­sky zámok bol pôvod­ne hra­dom. Nachá­dza sa v Žilin­skej mest­skej čas­ti Buda­tín. Dnes v ňom síd­li Považ­ské múze­um (Wiki­pe­dia). Buda­tín­sky hrad v minu­los­ti pat­ril medzi vod­né hra­dy. Jeho naj­star­šia časť bola posta­ve­ná po tatár­skom vpá­de v polo­vi­ci 13. sto­ro­čia (Infor­mač­ná tabu­ľa). Pôvod­ne vzni­kol ako stráž­ny hrad v dru­hej polo­vi­ci 13. sto­ro­čia (Wiki­pe­dia). Prvá zmien­ka o hra­de je z roku 1323. His­to­ric­ké náz­vy objek­tu: Bude­tyn, Bude­tin (hra​dy​.sk). V 14. sto­ro­čí ho zís­kal Matúš Čák Tren­čian­sky. Počas baro­ku sa v roku 1745 objekt obklo­pil par­kom. V janu­ári 1849 hrad poško­dil požiar (Wiki­pe­dia). Vzhľa­dom na svo­ju polo­hu v blíz­kos­ti súto­ku Váhu a Kysu­ce, plnil aj fun­kciu krá­ľov­skej trid­siat­ko­vej sta­ni­ce, kde sa vybe­ra­lo mýto od kup­cov zo Sliez­ska (Infor­mač­ná tabu­ľa). Park, kto­rý je súčas­ťou Buda­tín­ske­ho zám­ku ma roz­lo­hu 50 000 m2. Dnes už má svo­ju pôvod­nú podo­bu z 18. sto­ro­čia. Je národ­nou kul­túr­nou pamiat­kou. Žije tu aj 350 roč­ná lipa s obvo­dom kme­ňa 620 cm a výš­kou 26.2 met­ra (regi​on​ma​la​fat​ra​.sk).


Buda­tín Cast­le was ori­gi­nal­ly a for­tress and is loca­ted in the Buda­tín dis­trict of Žili­na. Today, it hou­ses the Považ­ské Muse­um (Wiki­pe­dia). Buda­tín Cast­le was once clas­si­fied as a water cast­le, with its oldest sec­ti­on cons­truc­ted after the Tatar inva­si­on in the mid-​13th cen­tu­ry (Infor­ma­ti­on board). Ori­gi­nal­ly built as a watch­to­wer for­tress in the second half of the 13th cen­tu­ry (Wiki­pe­dia), the first men­ti­on of the cast­le dates back to 1323. His­to­ri­cal names for the struc­tu­re inc­lu­de Bude­tyn and Bude­tin (hra​dy​.sk). In the 14th cen­tu­ry, it came into the posses­si­on of Matúš Čák Tren­čian­sky. During the Baro­que peri­od, the cast­le was sur­roun­ded by a park in 1745. In Janu­ary 1849, the cast­le suf­fe­red dama­ge from a fire (Wiki­pe­dia). Due to its pro­xi­mi­ty to the con­flu­en­ce of the Váh and Kysu­ca rivers, it also ser­ved as a roy­al toll col­lec­ti­on sta­ti­on, whe­re tolls were col­lec­ted from mer­chants coming from Sile­sia (Infor­ma­ti­on board). The park, part of Buda­tín Cast­le, covers an area of 50,000 m² and has retai­ned its ori­gi­nal 18th-​century lay­out. It is a nati­onal cul­tu­ral monu­ment. Wit­hin the park stands a 350-​year-​old lime tree with a trunk cir­cum­fe­ren­ce of 620 cm and a height of 26.2 meters (regi​on​ma​la​fat​ra​.sk).
