Labu­te pat­ria medzi veľ­ké vod­né vtá­ky, sú zná­me svo­jou majes­tát­nou veľ­kos­ťou a nád­her­ným vzhľa­dom. Majú dlhé krky, krát­ke nohy a širo­ké kríd­la. Ich telo je obvyk­le pokry­té hus­tým perím, kto­ré môže byť bie­le, šedé, hne­dé ale­bo čier­ne. Ich dlhé krky im umož­ňu­jú dosiah­nuť do hlb­ších vôd po potra­vu. Hniez­dia na bre­hoch jazier, ryb­ní­kov, ich hniez­da sú veľ­ké. Labu­te sú ver­né svo­jim hniezd­nym loka­li­tám. Labu­te hlas­no trú­bia, naj­mä počas hniez­de­nia a teri­to­riál­nych obran­ných správ. Ich hla­so­vé pre­ja­vy môžu slú­žiť na komu­ni­ká­ciu medzi jed­not­liv­ca­mi a vyjad­re­nie emo­ci­onál­nych sta­vov. Labu­te majú aj sym­bo­lic­ký význam v kul­tú­re a ume­ní. Swans belo­ng to the group of lar­ge water birds, kno­wn for the­ir majes­tic size and beau­ti­ful appe­a­ran­ce. They have long necks, short legs, and bro­ad wings. The­ir voca­li­za­ti­ons ser­ve for com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on bet­we­en indi­vi­du­als and expres­sing emo­ti­onal sta­tes. Swans also hold sym­bo­lic sig­ni­fi­can­ce in cul­tu­re and art. They are con­si­de­red sym­bols of ele­gan­ce and beau­ty. The­ir ima­ge fre­qu­en­tly appe­ars in lite­ra­tu­re, music, and visu­al arts.
