Stromy

Hits: 4434

Stromy, s ich výraznými kmeňmi a rozvetvenými korunami, tvoria obdivuhodné diela prírody a sú základnými stavebnými kameňmi ekosystémov po celom svete. Tieto živé organizmy sú neuveriteľne účinné, odolné a vytrvalé. Stromy čelia rôznym hrozbám, vrátane odlesňovania, klimatických zmien a chorôb. Odlesňovanie znižuje biodiverzitu a zvyšuje množstvo oxidu uhličitého v atmosfére.

Fotografie stromov majú schopnosť zachytiť nádheru a pôsobivosť prírody v jedinom snímku.

Ich výrazné črty môžu vyprávať príbehy o histórii a živote v ich okolí. Kombinácia techniky, kreativity a vnímania krásy v každom jednotlivom strome môže viesť k tvorbe úžasných a dojemných fotografií.

Trees, with their distinctive trunks and branching crowns, stand as remarkable masterpieces of nature and serve as fundamental building blocks of ecosystems worldwide. These living organisms are incredibly efficient, resilient, and enduring. However, trees face various threats, including deforestation, climate change, and diseases. Deforestation reduces biodiversity and increases the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Climate changes may lead to the spread of diseases and unwanted species that can harm trees. Protecting trees involves maintaining their natural habitats, sustainable timber harvesting, and supporting research to address diseases and pests. Trees represent a key element of nature; their conservation and sustainable management are essential not only for their preservation but also for humanity.

Trees have a complex structure that enables them to thrive in various conditions. Their basic parts include roots, trunk, branches, leaves, and fruits. Roots anchor the tree in the soil and absorb nutrients, while the trunk provides support and houses the transport system for water and nutrients. Branches and leaves facilitate photosynthesis, the process by which trees use sunlight to produce energy and generate oxygen. Fruits contain seeds used for reproduction. Trees form extensive ecosystems that provide shelter and food for numerous organisms. Their trunks and branches serve as habitats for birds, insects, and other creatures. Trees help maintain soil quality and create a microclimate in their surroundings. Their significance in ecosystems also lies in capturing and storing carbon dioxide. Trees have economic importance, providing wood used in various industries, from construction to furniture production. Additionally, they supply raw materials for the paper industry, and many plants and medicinal compounds come from trees, contributing to cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications.

Photographing trees allows for the capture of the beauty and grandeur of nature in a single frame. Each tree, with its unique shape and character, offers photographers endless creative possibilities. The photographic interpretation of trees can showcase their majesty, resilience, and relationship with the environment. Composition and perspective play a crucial role in tree photography. Creating contrasts between trees and other elements of nature, such as mountains, lakes, or the sky, can add drama to the photograph. Experimenting with different angles, including low shots or capturing multiple branches, can yield unusual and captivating results. Light is a key factor in tree photography. Early morning or evening hours can create warm and soft lights that highlight the texture of the bark and the colors of the leaves. Contrastive light creates shadow play, adding drama to the image. Shots with striking sunlight rays or reflections can provide a beautiful and impactful effect. Fog can separate spaces and make even something as large as a tree stand out.

Tree photography sometimes captures not only the trees themselves but also the diversity of their surroundings. Including various plant species, flowers, or natural elements in the composition can add another dimension and color contrast. Likewise, capturing birds, insects, or other wildlife associated with tree life enhances the richness of the photograph. Many tree species stand out for their uniqueness and interest. Bonsai, sequoias, or ancient trees with distinctive shapes and age can be excellent subjects. Their remarkable features can tell stories about history and life in their environment. The combination of technique, creativity, and appreciation of beauty in each individual tree can lead to the creation of fascinating and poignant photographs.

Devínske jazero je riečne jazero, mŕtve rameno Moravy a leží medzi jej ľavým brehom a korytom rieky Malina.

V roku 1846 sa začal stavať most medzi Devínskou Novou Vsou a Marcheggom.

Devín Lake is an area between the Morava River and Devínska Nová Ves. This former sensitive border area may have also retained a more natural character due to its past. It’s not a lake, as the name suggests; it’s a Morava River floodplain, an inundation area that is sometimes more or less flooded. Along the Morava River, there are softwood floodplain forests, primarily willows and poplars. At Devín Lake, we can observe storks, among other things, from around March 15th to August 15th.

Devín Lake is a river lake, a dead arm of the Morava, located between its left bank and the bed of the Malina River. The Devín Lake Meadow with an area of10.5 km² is the largest wet meadow in Slovakia. In the early 1960s, several graves from the Roman period were found here during sand extraction. Remnants from a more recent period include bunkers built in the 1930s. They are also called ropíky,” according to the abbreviation ROP – Directorate of Fortification Works. The crew consisted of 3 – 7 men, armed with machine guns, equipped with periscopes, grenade tubes (Wlachovský). Since 1993, the entire area has been included among wetlands of international importance under the Ramsar Convention. The Morava floodplain has been listed as a significant bird area since 1992. Storks, herons, and up to 118 species of birds nest here. There are also many species of bats, snakes, the rare smooth snake, European beavers, and up to 62 species of fish in the Morava River (panorama.sk).

Also located here is the Marchegg Viaduct, which is actually already a technical monument, but is still used for railway transport. In 1846, construction began on a bridge between Devínska Nová Ves and Marchegg. At 474 meters long, it was one of the largest in Hungary at the time. During its history, it has been destroyed several times during wars but always rebuilt. The last reconstruction was in 1959 (Wlachovský).

Bútľavé stromy a popadané kmene obýva množstvo živočíchov.

Salix fragilis, S. alba, S. triadra, topole Populus alba, P. nigra, P x canescens. V tvrdom lúhu jasň Fraxinus excelsior, F. angustifolia, bresty Ulmus minor, U. laevis, dub Quercus robur, Padus avium, Viburnum lantana, Swida sanguinea. V bylinnom podraste rastie napr. Gallium palustre, Lysimachia vulgaris, Mentha aquatica, Lythrum salicaria, Calystegia sepium, Caltha palustris, Carex riparia (Informačná tabuľa).

Dunaj patrí medzi významné vtáčie územia IBAMnožstvo druhov vtákov využíva ramená aj samotný tok Dunaja, početne sa tu zhromažďujú husi, volavky, kormorány, potápky, čajky, labute a kačice. Hniezdiť by tu mohli volavka Egretta garzetta, orliak morský Heliaetus albicilla, haja Milvus migrans, vodné vtáky Ixobrychus minutus, Sterna hirundo, Tringa totanus. Vyskytuje sa tu napr. bobor Castor fiber, mlok Triturus vulgaris, a T. dobrogicus, rosnička Hyla arborea, žaby Rana arvalis, R. lessonae, R. dalmatina, R. klepton esculenta, R. ridibunda, Bombina bombina, Bufo bufo, B. viridis, Pelobates fuscus, užovka Natrix natrix, Elaphe longissima, množstvo druhov motýľov, chrobákov, hmyzu, netopierov, rýb a iných živočíchov (Informačná tabuľa).

The Danube is one of the larger rivers in the world.

Within the Danube River, near Bratislava, lies the territory of European significance called Bratislava Floodplains (Bratislavské luhy). It represents valuable remnants of preserved riparian forests along the Danube, covering an area of 668.23 hectares. The floodplain area in Bratislava has a rich military history, once known as part of the Iron Curtain in a strictly guarded border zone. Today, it is referred to as the Green Belt, as long-term restrictions on human activities have allowed natural processes to take place, creating a piece of valuable nature. The area also holds unique resources of high-quality drinking water, the most extensive in Central Europe, and several water sources supplying the capital and its surroundings. The floodplain forests are characterized as wetland primeval forests of the temperate zone.

There are significant plant communities of standing water and watercourses in the area. Various animals inhabit the willow trees and fallen trunks. The territory consists of six parts: the nature reserve Slovanský ostrov in the Devín district, Sihoť protected area located on an island surrounded by the main flow of the Danube, Starý háj natural reserve, Pečniansky les protected area, Soví les protected area, and Chorvátske rameno protected area.

In the 1980s, there was a decline in the groundwater level on the Slovak stretch of the Danube due to excessive gravel mining related to water management works in Slovakia and Austria. This led to a decrease in the quality of riparian forests, causing them to dry out and transition to more xerophilous communities. Additionally, the original trees were being replaced by non-native fast-growing species. Floodplain forests are limited by a high groundwater level, soft floodplain even experiences periodic floods.

The soft floodplain hosts willows such as Salix fragilis, S. alba, S. triadra, and poplars like Populus alba, P. nigra, P x canescens. In the hard floodplain, ash trees (Fraxinus excelsior, F. angustifolia), elms (Ulmus minor, U. laevis), oaks (Quercus robur), bird cherry (Padus avium), guelder rose (Viburnum lantana), and dogwood (Swida sanguinea) thrive, among others.

The Danube is recognized as an Important Bird Area (IBA). Various bird species use the river branches and the Danube itself. Geese, herons, cormorants, grebes, gulls, swans, and ducks gather in significant numbers. Potential nesting birds include the little egret (Egretta garzetta), white-tailed eagle (Heliaetus albicilla), red kite (Milvus migrans), little bittern (Ixobrychus minutus), common tern (Sterna hirundo), and redshank (Tringa totanus). Animals like the European beaver (Castor fiber), newts (Triturus vulgaris, T. dobrogicus), tree frog (Hyla arborea), various species of frogs, toads, snakes (Natrix natrix, Elaphe longissima), numerous butterfly species, beetles, insects, bats, fish, and other wildlife are present in the area.

A Duna a világ nagyobb folyói közé tartozik.

A lágy ártéren fűzfák, például a Salix fragilis, S. alba, S. triadra, és nyárak, például a Populus alba, P. nigra, P x canescens, növekednek. A kemény ártéren kőris (Fraxinus excelsior, F. angustifolia), szilva (Ulmus minor, U. laevis), tölgy (Quercus robur), madárcseresznye (Padus avium), kőris (Viburnum lantana) és hajnalka (Swida sanguinea) is található.

A Duna az Important Bird Area (IBA) elnevezést viseli. Különböző madárfajok használják a folyóágakat és magát a Dunát. Lúdak, kócsagok, kormoránok, búvárok, sirályok, hattyúk és kacsák jelentős számban gyűlnek össze. Lehetséges költőmadarak a kis kócsag (Egretta garzetta), a fehérhátú tengeri sas (Heliaetus albicilla), a vörös kánya (Milvus migrans), a búbos vöcsök (Ixobrychus minutus), a parti csér (Sterna hirundo) és a piroslábú szárcsa (Tringa totanus). Az állatok között szerepel a hód (Castor fiber), a szalamandra (Triturus vulgaris, T. dobrogicus), az európai fábanca (Hyla arborea), a békák különböző fajai, a sügér (Rana arvalis, R. lessonae, R. dalmatina, R. klepton esculenta, R. ridibunda, Bombina bombina, Bufo bufo, B. viridis), a barna sikló (Natrix natrix), a sima sikló (Elaphe longissima), számos lepkefaj, bogarak, rovarok, denevérek, halak és egyéb vadvilág.

Zima – obdobie vegetačného pokoja a snehovej periny

Hits: 4494

Winter is a season that brings with it its unique charm. It is a time when nature slows down its hectic rhythm and enters a state of vegetative rest. This is crucial for the Earth, for nature itself. Winter is a period when animals and some plants retreat to shelters, seeking an opportunity for rest and rejuvenation. During this time, certain plant species enter a state of vegetative rest, temporarily quieting their growth and development. It’s as if nature is holding its own breath, ready for the renewal of life in the next cycle.

Winter can be challenging for animals and plants, making environmental protection crucial. Sometimes, snow descends from the sky, breaking the light into thousands of diamonds that dance on the ground. The winter season also brings a plethora of joys and activities for people. Cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, sledding, and building snowmen are just some of the activities that characterize winter. Winter is not just a season of cold weather; it is a time of beauty, tranquility, and a unique perspective on the world around us. It teaches us about the importance of rest and renewal, not only for nature but also for ourselves. In the hushed landscapes covered by snow, we can find a certain magic that transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.
