Významné vtáčie územie Adamovské jazerá

Hits: 3856

Mesto Gbely upravilo pred časom pláže, parkovacie plochy, vysadilo stromy a kríky, vybudovalo sprchy, umyváreň, sociálne zariadenia. Adamov je mestskou časťou mesta Gbely (gbely.sk). Adamovské jazerá sú ojedinelým príkladom spolužitia príroda a človeka. Je len málo mieste, kde môžete nahliadnuť do sveta vtáctva z takej bezprostrednej blízkosti. Desaťročia tu človek a vtáky žijú vedľa seba (Informačná tabuľa).

The Adamov Lakes are located at the 85th river kilometer of the Morava River. They provide opportunities for fishing, summer recreation, and swimming. There are three ports here, and two boats operate. From the Gbely Adamov port, you can sail to České Tvrdonice. The Adamov Lakes consist of two gravel pits, thus they are artificially created water areas. Since 1969, gravel mining has been taking place on the western side of the larger northern gravel pit. There are 13 islands in the southern part, where more than 80 species of birds nest. Once there were wetlands here, but they disappeared due to the regulation of the Morava River. The town of Gbely recently renovated beaches, parking areas, planted trees and shrubs, built showers, washrooms, and social facilities. Adamov is a district of the town of Gbely. The Adamov Lakes are a unique example of coexistence between nature and humans. There are few places where you can observe birdlife from such close proximity. For decades, humans and birds have been living side by side here.

The Adamov Lakes are among the most significant ornithological sites in Záhorie. They are an important migration stopover and resting place for geese. The lakes are part of the Morava Protected Bird Area. Almost half of the breeding population of wild geese (Anser anser) in Slovakia nests here. They stay here from February to July. The black-headed gull (Larus ridibundus) has the largest colony in Záhorie. The common tern (Sterna hirundo) also settles on islands without high vegetation. In March and April, the spring migration of ducks peaks here. The Eurasian coot (Fulica atra) is almost entirely black. The red-crested pochard (Netta rufina) considers the lakes one of the northernmost breeding sites. Other species include the great crested grebe (Podiceps cristatus), the sand martin (Riparia riparia), the white wagtail (Motacilla alba), the white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla), the northern pintail (Anas acuta), the mallard (Anas platyrhynchos), the smew (Mergus albellus), the common goldeneye (Bucephala clangula), the Eurasian hoopoe (Upupa epops), the grey heron (Ardea cinerea), the black-crowned night heron (Nycticorax nycticorax), the bearded reedling (Panurus biarmicus), the bluethroat (Luscinia svecica), the sandpipers, and the wagtails. In mid-November, large flocks of geese fly here. From the north, the greater white-fronted goose (Anser albifrons) and the bean goose (Anser fabalis) arrive. The northern lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) nests around the lakes.

In 2009, the town of Gbely built an eight-meter-high wooden lookout tower here. Locals call it ávéháčka,” meaning the Adamov bird lookout (infoglobe.sk). The lookout offers a very good view not only of bird colonies and the surrounding area but also, especially in the winter months, of the distant Little Carpathians, White Carpathians, and Pavlov Hills (Pálava) (ubytujemsa.sk). I go to the Adamov Lakes quite often, including for swimming. Sometimes I stop here on my way from Moravia. The buffet – refreshment facility, which I quickly grew fond of, is interesting. In summer, there are quite a few people here, but it’s still tolerable, and I haven’t had any parking problems yet (Peter Kaclík).

Bútľavé stromy a popadané kmene obýva množstvo živočíchov.

Salix fragilis, S. alba, S. triadra, topole Populus alba, P. nigra, P x canescens. V tvrdom lúhu jasň Fraxinus excelsior, F. angustifolia, bresty Ulmus minor, U. laevis, dub Quercus robur, Padus avium, Viburnum lantana, Swida sanguinea. V bylinnom podraste rastie napr. Gallium palustre, Lysimachia vulgaris, Mentha aquatica, Lythrum salicaria, Calystegia sepium, Caltha palustris, Carex riparia (Informačná tabuľa).

Dunaj patrí medzi významné vtáčie územia IBAMnožstvo druhov vtákov využíva ramená aj samotný tok Dunaja, početne sa tu zhromažďujú husi, volavky, kormorány, potápky, čajky, labute a kačice. Hniezdiť by tu mohli volavka Egretta garzetta, orliak morský Heliaetus albicilla, haja Milvus migrans, vodné vtáky Ixobrychus minutus, Sterna hirundo, Tringa totanus. Vyskytuje sa tu napr. bobor Castor fiber, mlok Triturus vulgaris, a T. dobrogicus, rosnička Hyla arborea, žaby Rana arvalis, R. lessonae, R. dalmatina, R. klepton esculenta, R. ridibunda, Bombina bombina, Bufo bufo, B. viridis, Pelobates fuscus, užovka Natrix natrix, Elaphe longissima, množstvo druhov motýľov, chrobákov, hmyzu, netopierov, rýb a iných živočíchov (Informačná tabuľa).

The Danube is one of the larger rivers in the world.

Within the Danube River, near Bratislava, lies the territory of European significance called Bratislava Floodplains (Bratislavské luhy). It represents valuable remnants of preserved riparian forests along the Danube, covering an area of 668.23 hectares. The floodplain area in Bratislava has a rich military history, once known as part of the Iron Curtain in a strictly guarded border zone. Today, it is referred to as the Green Belt, as long-term restrictions on human activities have allowed natural processes to take place, creating a piece of valuable nature. The area also holds unique resources of high-quality drinking water, the most extensive in Central Europe, and several water sources supplying the capital and its surroundings. The floodplain forests are characterized as wetland primeval forests of the temperate zone.

There are significant plant communities of standing water and watercourses in the area. Various animals inhabit the willow trees and fallen trunks. The territory consists of six parts: the nature reserve Slovanský ostrov in the Devín district, Sihoť protected area located on an island surrounded by the main flow of the Danube, Starý háj natural reserve, Pečniansky les protected area, Soví les protected area, and Chorvátske rameno protected area.

In the 1980s, there was a decline in the groundwater level on the Slovak stretch of the Danube due to excessive gravel mining related to water management works in Slovakia and Austria. This led to a decrease in the quality of riparian forests, causing them to dry out and transition to more xerophilous communities. Additionally, the original trees were being replaced by non-native fast-growing species. Floodplain forests are limited by a high groundwater level, soft floodplain even experiences periodic floods.

The soft floodplain hosts willows such as Salix fragilis, S. alba, S. triadra, and poplars like Populus alba, P. nigra, P x canescens. In the hard floodplain, ash trees (Fraxinus excelsior, F. angustifolia), elms (Ulmus minor, U. laevis), oaks (Quercus robur), bird cherry (Padus avium), guelder rose (Viburnum lantana), and dogwood (Swida sanguinea) thrive, among others.

The Danube is recognized as an Important Bird Area (IBA). Various bird species use the river branches and the Danube itself. Geese, herons, cormorants, grebes, gulls, swans, and ducks gather in significant numbers. Potential nesting birds include the little egret (Egretta garzetta), white-tailed eagle (Heliaetus albicilla), red kite (Milvus migrans), little bittern (Ixobrychus minutus), common tern (Sterna hirundo), and redshank (Tringa totanus). Animals like the European beaver (Castor fiber), newts (Triturus vulgaris, T. dobrogicus), tree frog (Hyla arborea), various species of frogs, toads, snakes (Natrix natrix, Elaphe longissima), numerous butterfly species, beetles, insects, bats, fish, and other wildlife are present in the area.

A Duna a világ nagyobb folyói közé tartozik.

A lágy ártéren fűzfák, például a Salix fragilis, S. alba, S. triadra, és nyárak, például a Populus alba, P. nigra, P x canescens, növekednek. A kemény ártéren kőris (Fraxinus excelsior, F. angustifolia), szilva (Ulmus minor, U. laevis), tölgy (Quercus robur), madárcseresznye (Padus avium), kőris (Viburnum lantana) és hajnalka (Swida sanguinea) is található.

A Duna az Important Bird Area (IBA) elnevezést viseli. Különböző madárfajok használják a folyóágakat és magát a Dunát. Lúdak, kócsagok, kormoránok, búvárok, sirályok, hattyúk és kacsák jelentős számban gyűlnek össze. Lehetséges költőmadarak a kis kócsag (Egretta garzetta), a fehérhátú tengeri sas (Heliaetus albicilla), a vörös kánya (Milvus migrans), a búbos vöcsök (Ixobrychus minutus), a parti csér (Sterna hirundo) és a piroslábú szárcsa (Tringa totanus). Az állatok között szerepel a hód (Castor fiber), a szalamandra (Triturus vulgaris, T. dobrogicus), az európai fábanca (Hyla arborea), a békák különböző fajai, a sügér (Rana arvalis, R. lessonae, R. dalmatina, R. klepton esculenta, R. ridibunda, Bombina bombina, Bufo bufo, B. viridis), a barna sikló (Natrix natrix), a sima sikló (Elaphe longissima), számos lepkefaj, bogarak, rovarok, denevérek, halak és egyéb vadvilág.

Múzeum liptovskej dediny v Pribyline

Hits: 2964

Ovčiarska nedeľa” s ukážkami pastierskeho rezbárskeho umenia, pastierskym folklórom, Hasičská nedeľa” s výstavou a ukážkami dobovej hasičskej techniky. Včelárska nedeľa” ponúka expozíciu dobových úľov a včelárskych pomôcok, s bohatou ponukou včelích produktov.

The open-air museum of the Liptov village in Pribylina is a beautiful representation of Liptov’s past. The area is open year-round, hosting various events throughout the year. One of the exhibits includes the exposition of a forest narrow-gauge railway, which is covered in a separate contribution.

The Museum of the Liptov Village in Pribylina is a branch of the Liptov Museum in Ružomberok. It is located at the mouth of the Račková Valley (liptov.sk). In 1991, its first part was made accessible to the public (pribylinaobjektivom.sk). It is the youngest open-air museum in Slovakia, established in connection with the construction of the Liptovská Mara waterworks. The settlement structure of the village resembles that of larger historical Liptov villages with the privileges and rights of small towns. In the center of the village is a larger space called the rínok” or market square, where residents gathered, markets, and fairs took place. It allows showcasing social and cultural differences in the way of life, from the housing of the poorest layers of rural population to that of the wealthiest, distinguishing it from other open-air museums in Slovakia. Notable structures include the Gothic Renaissance castle from the submerged village of Parížovce, the oldest noble residence in Liptov. The oldest Gothic part can be dated to the first third of the 14th century. The second is a wooden noble mansion from Paludza, built in 1858. An exceptionally attractive exhibit is the early Gothic Church of the Virgin Mary from Liptovská Mary. The oldest written report about this church is from 1288, but archaeological research suggests that an older sacral building dating back to the 11th or 12th century may have stood under the foundations (Zuskinová et al.).

One of the main objectives is to create a living museum. Therefore, craft workshops, a wheelwright and blacksmith workshop, where skilled masters can demonstrate ancient crafts’ secrets to visitors, are part of the museum. Other artisans also come to the museum to demonstrate basket weaving, simple carving techniques, leatherwork, decoration of slingshots, gingerbread, or carving fujaras from tree trunks. The museum organizes various events throughout the year, such as Shepherd’s Sunday” with demonstrations of pastoral carving art, shepherd folklore, Firefighter’s Sunday” with an exhibition and demonstrations of period firefighting equipment. Beekeeper’s Sunday” offers an exhibition of period beehives and beekeeping tools, with a rich selection of bee products. Native Sunday” is not only a meeting of residents from extinct villages under the Liptovská Mara dam, inhabitants, and natives of Liptov, but also features one of the larger and wealthier villages in the region. St. Hubert’s Day” is an opportunity for hunters and foresters to meet. Medieval Sunday” shows historical martial arts, the lifestyle of the time, and clothing. And many more, like Christmas in Liptov” (Zuskinová et al.).

In the zoo exhibit, original Carpathian breeds of animals are kept, whose breeding is currently declining. Examples include dark Carpathian goats, white and black Wallachian sheep, chickens, geese, ducks, rabbits, and Hucul horses, descendants of the original wild horse in Slovakia, which was semi-domesticated and used as a working animal by mountain residents for centuries (Zuskinová et al.).
