Je možné, že na mieste tohto kaštieľa stála v stredoveku kúria, možno Kyliánov dvor a trhové miesto pod názvom Kyliánvasardya (dolnetrhoviste.sk).

Dolné Trhovište is a village located in the Hlohovec District (Wikipedia), in the southwest part of the Nitra Hills, in the valley of the Trhovištský stream (regionhlohovec.sk). With an area of 10.06 km², it is home to 637 residents and is situated at an elevation of 180 meters above sea level. In 1902, the village of Jelenová was annexed to Dolné Trhovište (regionhlohovec.sk).

In the valley of the Galanovka stream, between the villages of Tepličky and Dolné Trhovište, remnants of a medieval settlement from the 12th-13th century have been discovered, along with findings of prehistoric pottery and stone tools dating back to 4,000 years BC. Within the village boundaries, in the Zlatárky part, remnants of a settlement from the La Tène and Roman periods were found. In the Turná part, structures from the later Stone Age were discovered, including the identification of a rondel in a Neolithic settlement. Stone structures built by people of the Lengyel culture 4,000 years BC were situated above the Trhovištský stream valley. Approximately two hundred meters southwest of the church, remnants of a Celtic burial ground were found, providing evidence of a La Tène settlement and burial site. In the Rúbanice and Pasienky parts, remnants of a settlement from the later Stone Age were discovered. East of the Church of St. George, a medieval settlement named Vasar (Vascard, Wasard) was documented. The church was likely part of a manor house. Originally constructed in the Romanesque style, the church was built before the Mongol invasion, in the first third of the 13th century. In 1855, a castle was erected in the Galanová part. It is possible that a manor house, perhaps Kyliánov dvor, and a market called Kyliánvasardya stood in the medieval period (dolnetrhoviste.sk).
