Stromy

Hits: 4427

Stromy, s ich výraznými kmeňmi a rozvetvenými korunami, tvoria obdivuhodné diela prírody a sú základnými stavebnými kameňmi ekosystémov po celom svete. Tieto živé organizmy sú neuveriteľne účinné, odolné a vytrvalé. Stromy čelia rôznym hrozbám, vrátane odlesňovania, klimatických zmien a chorôb. Odlesňovanie znižuje biodiverzitu a zvyšuje množstvo oxidu uhličitého v atmosfére.

Fotografie stromov majú schopnosť zachytiť nádheru a pôsobivosť prírody v jedinom snímku.

Ich výrazné črty môžu vyprávať príbehy o histórii a živote v ich okolí. Kombinácia techniky, kreativity a vnímania krásy v každom jednotlivom strome môže viesť k tvorbe úžasných a dojemných fotografií.

Trees, with their distinctive trunks and branching crowns, stand as remarkable masterpieces of nature and serve as fundamental building blocks of ecosystems worldwide. These living organisms are incredibly efficient, resilient, and enduring. However, trees face various threats, including deforestation, climate change, and diseases. Deforestation reduces biodiversity and increases the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Climate changes may lead to the spread of diseases and unwanted species that can harm trees. Protecting trees involves maintaining their natural habitats, sustainable timber harvesting, and supporting research to address diseases and pests. Trees represent a key element of nature; their conservation and sustainable management are essential not only for their preservation but also for humanity.

Trees have a complex structure that enables them to thrive in various conditions. Their basic parts include roots, trunk, branches, leaves, and fruits. Roots anchor the tree in the soil and absorb nutrients, while the trunk provides support and houses the transport system for water and nutrients. Branches and leaves facilitate photosynthesis, the process by which trees use sunlight to produce energy and generate oxygen. Fruits contain seeds used for reproduction. Trees form extensive ecosystems that provide shelter and food for numerous organisms. Their trunks and branches serve as habitats for birds, insects, and other creatures. Trees help maintain soil quality and create a microclimate in their surroundings. Their significance in ecosystems also lies in capturing and storing carbon dioxide. Trees have economic importance, providing wood used in various industries, from construction to furniture production. Additionally, they supply raw materials for the paper industry, and many plants and medicinal compounds come from trees, contributing to cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications.

Photographing trees allows for the capture of the beauty and grandeur of nature in a single frame. Each tree, with its unique shape and character, offers photographers endless creative possibilities. The photographic interpretation of trees can showcase their majesty, resilience, and relationship with the environment. Composition and perspective play a crucial role in tree photography. Creating contrasts between trees and other elements of nature, such as mountains, lakes, or the sky, can add drama to the photograph. Experimenting with different angles, including low shots or capturing multiple branches, can yield unusual and captivating results. Light is a key factor in tree photography. Early morning or evening hours can create warm and soft lights that highlight the texture of the bark and the colors of the leaves. Contrastive light creates shadow play, adding drama to the image. Shots with striking sunlight rays or reflections can provide a beautiful and impactful effect. Fog can separate spaces and make even something as large as a tree stand out.

Tree photography sometimes captures not only the trees themselves but also the diversity of their surroundings. Including various plant species, flowers, or natural elements in the composition can add another dimension and color contrast. Likewise, capturing birds, insects, or other wildlife associated with tree life enhances the richness of the photograph. Many tree species stand out for their uniqueness and interest. Bonsai, sequoias, or ancient trees with distinctive shapes and age can be excellent subjects. Their remarkable features can tell stories about history and life in their environment. The combination of technique, creativity, and appreciation of beauty in each individual tree can lead to the creation of fascinating and poignant photographs.

Gulls belong to the family Laridae, forming a group of water birds that inhabit coastlines, lakes, rivers, and seas worldwide. They have a relatively slender build with long wings and legs. Their plumage is typically white-gray or white-black. During the summer, some species may exhibit vibrant colors on their heads or necks. Primarily carnivorous, their diet consists of fish, mollusks, small birds, and refuse. They extensively use their sharp beaks for catching food. Gulls nest in colonies along coastlines or near water sources. Their nests can be situated on the ground, on cliffs, or close to the water. They are known for their protective behavior towards their nests. Many gull species migrate and move between regions throughout the year. Some gulls have adapted well to life near humans and inhabit urban areas, utilizing human presence as a source of food. Gulls are also renowned for their symbolism in maritime culture and art, with their image frequently appearing in depictions of coastlines and the sea.

Mosty

Hits: 2384

Takým je Zlatý most v San Franciscu.

Bridges are engineering structures designed to overcome obstacles such as rivers, streams, ravines, or roads. Their main function is to provide passage over obstacles for pedestrians, cyclists, vehicles, and other modes of transportation. Bridges can be highly diverse in their design and construction, and their selection depends on various factors, including technical requirements, surrounding topography, and aesthetic preferences. Bridges are not only practical structures for overcoming obstacles but also crucial elements in urban and architectural planning that can contribute to the character and identity of cities.

Steel bridges are popular for their strength and ability to span longer distances. Concrete bridges are durable and resistant to weather conditions. Suspension bridges are characterized by the suspension of the bridge on cables and can span great distances, such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Cable-stayed bridges use cables or stays to support the bridge deck, combining a lightweight structure often used in mountainous areas. Stone bridges are historically significant, having a traditional character and often being structures with high aesthetic value. Double-deck bridges include two separate levels for different types of traffic, such as highway bridges with a road for motor vehicles on one level and a higher level for pedestrians and cyclists. There are also wooden bridges. Each type of bridge serves a unique purpose, and the choice of materials and design contributes to the functionality and visual appeal of these engineering marvels.

Folklór – kultúrne dedičstvo

Hits: 5652

Napr. vo Východnej, Myjave, Detve (Wikipedia.sk). Z ľudovej hudby čerpajú inšpiráciu aj hudobní skladatelia vážnej hudby. V minulosti napr. Edvard Hagerup Grieg, Antonín Dvořák, Franz Liszt, Béla Bartók. Globálny vplyv pôvodne ľudovej hudby v 20. storočí mala hudba černošských komunít v USA. Šlo o piesňovú formu so špecifickou pentatonickou modalitou, charakteristickými dvanásťtaktovými akordickými postupmi a systémom otázka – odpoveď v zborovom speve.

Folklór comes from the English term folk lore,” which translates to folk knowledge. It encompasses verbal, musical, dramatic, and dance traditions. Folkloric expressions began to fade with the advent of modern technology. The ability to write and read text led to less space for folk creation (Wikipedia.cz). The study of folklore falls under the domain of folkloristics. Different regions and communities take pride in their traditional costumes, songs, customs, and dances. Presentations of folk traditions from various regions often take place at folklore festivals, such as those in Východná, Myjava, and Detva (Wikipedia.sk).

Individual composers of classical music draw inspiration from folk music. In the past, figures like Edvard Hagerup Grieg, Antonín Dvořák, Franz Liszt, and Béla Bartók were influenced by folk music. In the 20th century, the global impact of originally folk music was evident in the music of African American communities in the USA. This form, characterized by a specific pentatonic modality, distinctive twelve-bar chord progressions, and call-and-response patterns in choral singing, was termed blues” in the 19th century. Later on, there was a well-known cross-influence between rock and folk music (Wikipedia.cz).

In the Czech Republic, the relatively well-known musical group blending popular music with elements of folk music includes Čechomor and Fleret. In Slovakia, there are prominent folk artistic ensembles like SĽUK (Slovak Folk Art Ensemble) and Lúčnica. Folklore festivals, such as Folklore Festivals under Poľana, the Detva International Festival of Folk Music, Dance, and Song, Podroháč Folklore Festivals in Zuberec, Martinské Dožinky, and Východná, contribute to the rich tradition (skovaksite.com).

A notable Moravian folk group is Hradišťan, led by the impressive Jiří (Jura) Pavlica, who also explores other genres. For me, it is a true medium that the world does not have enough of. Especially after 2000, thankfully, priorities have started to shift, and traditional crafts have experienced a revival, at least at various fairs, festivals, and other cultural and social events. In Nitra, the Festival of Folk Crafts takes place annually. In Bratislava, Kežmarok, and Piešťany, a tradition of festivals celebrating traditional crafts has been established, and hopefully, in other cities as well. I feel that traditional architecture is beginning to be valued more again, especially in open-air museums like Podbiel, Pribylina, and Martin.

V Žiline sa v roku 2014 uskutočnila výstava Betta splendens, Guppy páry a kreviet – Caridina Show.

Zanechala trvalý odkaz a prispela k ďalšiemu rozvoju akvaristickej vášne. Považujem ju za úspešnú akciu, ktorá spojila milovníkov akvaristiky, poskytla priestor na prezentáciu akvaristických miláčikov a umožnila zdieľanie radosti so spoločné koníčka.

The Betta splendens, Guppy pairs, and Caridina Show took place in Žilina in 2014. It partially included a fair as well. I participated in the event as a judge for guppies. After the work was done, we gathered around the tables and celebrated our shared effort and presence :-). The event was attended by the president of IKGH – Eddy Vanvoorden. Overseeing everything was Janka Budaia.

The Caridina Show was not just a showcase of the beauty of aquatic creatures in aquariums but also an opportunity for social interaction within the aquarist community. It left a lasting impact and contributed to the further development of the passion for aquaristics. I consider it a successful event that brought together aquarium enthusiasts, provided a platform for presenting aquarium pets, and facilitated the sharing of joy in our shared hobby.

W Żylinie w 2014 roku odbyła się wystawa Betta splendens, par Guppy i krewetek – Caridina Show.
